Cakes on a Train
Poppy was standing on a podium while a huge red curtain stood behind her, blocking something that was waiting on the other side, as she faced the leaders, ambassadors, delegates, and fellow associates while saying, "Tribal leaders, council, delegates, and associates, before the debut of our big project tomorrow, I wanted you guys to be the first to be aware of the progress we have made so far. It has not been easy, and we've faced a few obstacles along the way, but I can say with confidence that our progress can be perfectly described as...adequate." That made everyone become confused and mutter their concerns to each other. Delta then stepped forward, asking, "Poppy, what do ya mean ya made "Adequate" progress"? Poppy shrugged and replied, "Well, recently, we did a small snag in the project, so things haven't been...great so far." McJagger then stepped forward, asking, "Is there anything we can do to help," which made Poppy smile and reply, "Yes, actually. You can all witness this. I give you...the Trollstopian Metroll System"! The curtain parted ways and revealed a carefully constructed train station, as well as a huge train that had a large, red engine that gave a loud whistle/toot. It had special pod-like cars connected to it that were all associated with each music and even had cars for the subgenres, in case the bounty hunters ever came to stay. Branch, dressed as an engineer, and Aggie both popped their heads out of a window in the engine and waved hello while R and B tightened a loose bolt on the wheels. Everyone was happily impressed as Stereo shouted, "Woah! It's *imitates air horns noises*, Queen Poppy," while Barb added, "Yeah! It's rocking"! Prince D added, "Cool locomotive, Poppy," while Holly commented, "Dang, Poppy! You downplayin' rascal! Ya gotta warn ayy Troll befawe ya unveil somethin' that overwhelmingly cool"! Trollzart and Dante flew around the train, getting a good look at it, before the Classical leader commenting, "Beautiful," while Trollex stated, "This train's amazing, Poppy"! Poppy then smiled as she mentioned, "But wait, it gets better, guys! It runs not only all the way through Trollstopia but also all of our homes in the Troll Kingdom, the sub-genres homes included and...wait for it...even to the entrance of Harmonious Land, so now, instead of it taking almost a week to get there, we can go there...in one day." That made everyone even more impressed as Melody squealed, saying, "Ah! We can now make visits to Harmonious Land almost any time we want," while Synth added, "Yeah! Get to visit my future sis-in-law's family a lot more"! Shimmer, Chin-Hwa, and Silovay all jumped around in excitement as Shimmer commented, "Hear that, guys?! We can now visit and go home at any time, within the timeframe of course, that we please"! LowNote Jones stated, "Groovy idea, Poppy," while Minuet added, "Indeed. Now, we can all get to visit our homes any time we want and never have to worry about getting homesick for so long."
Poppy grinned as she said, "Thank you, guys. Aggie's idea was to make sure the tracks were connected to the other areas and not just around Trollstopia. After all, if we can ensure every troll has a chance to ride this train, we can continue increasing the harmonic bond between all of the tribes and promote cross-cultural celebration on a level once known to be unparalleled." Essence then commented, "Poppy, this Metroll system is truly a stroke of genius," while Buckaroo added, "Yeah, Poppy! Y'all mighty outdid yourselves with this here one"! Finn then asked, "Poppy, mate, if I may reluctantly ask, were you really able to get the train tracks aligned everywhere? Even in the ocean"? Poppy nodded, saying, "Yep! Branch was able to design special tubes that enable the train to safely travel underwater without worrying about the tubes breaking or causing flooding. So, we can visit Techno Lagoon and Techno Reef anytime we need to, and never worry about the train sinking." Finn seemed to be impressed as he showed a small semi-smile before Aggie flew over to them, adding, "Oh, and we almost forgot. The train's also...designed as a rollercoaster for your riding pleasure," and pointed to an array of tracks that went up and down, like a rollercoaster track. That drew everyone over the exciting edge as they all cheered and celebrated, with Synth shouting, "I love rollercoasters," while Val added, "Poppy, you gotta give us a break! It's just...too cool." Sophie then floated towards Poppy and signed to her, "Does the train provide services for trolls who have a disability"? Poppy signed right back, "Yep! We have special systems installed for trolls with every kind of need, even those who are deaf." Sophie smiled from Poppy's answer as Laguna then stepped forward, cradling Jasmine in her arms, as she asked, "Poppy, might I inquire on something? Speaking from a mother's perspective, is this train safe for young trolls and babies"? Poppy answered, "Yep! In each cart are special nursery sections so you can take care of your little ones while riding the train. Bottles, diapers, lullaby music, it has everything you need to help make sure even the babies enjoy the ride."
Gust then added, "Poppy, ya know that some of us tend ta stick with the old-fashion ways ov a-doin' things, but ay has ta say...ay love this here Metroll Train system"! Everyone nodded in agreement as Dante then mentioned, "In fact, it's so cool, I'm afraid the festivities we designed for tomorrow's debut won't live up to the coolness level of this magnitude"! Aggie flew over to Dante and reassured him by saying, "Don't worry, Dante. We already came up with something that'll blow your mind even more than the train does," which made Sid ask, "Already our minds have been blown away from this train revelation! What else can us lose our minds in excitement"? Poppy then stated, "When we all make the inaugural trip around Trollstopia, we'll be carrying a special, surprise cargo to share with all the trolls when we arrive. Behold," before she pulled out a piece of paper from behind her back and showed it to everyone, saying, "The perfection cake." A perfection cake." Everyone's jaw dropped in shock, and their eyes widened in awe as Val commented, "It's the cake of all cakes"! Trollzart stated, "Legends say that any troll who tastes one instantly weeps from sheer joy," while Trollex added, "They say it tastes so good, the flavor can reside in your mouth for days after eating just one slice." Buckaroo then tipped her hat while saying, "Poppy, y'all bettuurr nawht be a-tellin' cake tales outta cake school! Ay'm an aficionado when it comes ta cakes, and if ya playing with us, ay don't think my cake-lovin' heart, along with ever'one else's, would take it"! Poppy giggled as she replied, "No, it's true. I secretly asked Sky Toronto's team to start the preparations a few weeks ago because the conditions of a perfection cake have to be...pristine." Sid was surprised as he commented, "Wow, you guys sure go all out when it comes to a perfection cake." Poppy nodded before stating, "We do, but it'll all be worth it when every troll's dining on it at tomorrow's inaugural welcome party."
Delta then shouted, "Well, hot dang, y'all! We're a-gettin' ayy perfection cake," as everyone started to chat with one another excitedly. Then, Rhythm's voice piped in, saying, "Uh, trolls, we might have a problem with that. Due to the cake's delicate nature, it can only be out in the sun for an hour while exposed to natural air." In confusion, Poppy asked, "Yeah, so what"? As Aggie flew back to the train and landed next to Branch, the pop king explained, "Well, as the designers of this choo-choo, and yes, I say choo-choo because that's what my grandmother called it and ti stuck, ok"?! Everyone was a little startled by the almost agitated outburst as Synth stated, "Whoa, Dubstep. Calm down, yo, " while Silovay commented, "Whoa, partnuurr, chill," as Chin-Hwa then added, "Yeah, Branch, we got it." Branch then took a deep breath and continued to explain, saying, "Anyways, as this choo-choo's designers, we can assure you, it can't make it around Trollstopia in an hour." Poppy, a bit shocked, commented, "Whoa, whoa! Guys, come on! We need this cake to give the Metroll the debut it deserves"! Finn then crossed his arms and rolled his eyes, stating, "Uh, it's just a cake, nothing too special about it," which earned many surprised gasps from the group. Sid then walked forward to Poppy, asking, "Pops, might I borrow your picture of the cake a minute"? Poppy gave the picture to Sid as he marched up to Finn and almost shoved it in his face, shouting, "Does this look like "just a cake" and "nothing too special" to you"?! Finn looked at the picture as his eyes glistened n awe. He then cleared his throat and gave the picture back to Sid, commenting, "Crikey...point taken." While Sid gave Poppy back the drawing, Poppy then asked, "Guys, isn't there anything you can do"? R and B looked at one another before Blues spoke up, saying, "Well, we were going to work through the night to finish the supplemental loop d' loop track," while Rhythm added, "Though right now, it looks more like a loop d' track." Aggie then spoke up, saying, "But, since this cake seems to matter so much to you, we can happily use the night shift we have to upgrade the engine."
Branch then spoke up in concern, saying, "Upgrade the engine? But that means we'll have to pull out the transmission and the brake system. Poppy, hon, you know I love you, but it's not worth doing it just for some cake-," before Poppy showed him the picture, and he too, felt in awe of how wondrous the cake looked. With determination, he whispered loudly, "Let's upgrade this choo-choo." All through the night, Branch, Aggie, Rhythm, and Blues worked to upgrade the engine, and soon, they were finally done. Branch smiled and commented, "Choo-choo upgraded," while Aggie took a minute to catch her breath while twirling a screwdriver in her rock hand, "Phew. We did it, guys! Now, this train's gonna be able to zip through Trollstopia in less than an hour, at an appropriate speed, of course." While all four trolls were covered in grease, they felt so proud and shared a high-five. After putting their stuff away, they all started to walk home or fly home, in Aggie's case. Once Aggie got back to her pod, she stretched her arms up, commenting, "Whoo. After that, I need a nice, long bubble bath to clean this grease off me before I can get some sleep for tomorrow's inaugural ride." Suddenly, Aggie felt a vision coming as in her mind, she saw Poppy standing on top of the engine, launching her hair sideways, trying to stop the choo-choo for some reason. Once her vision ended, Aggie shook her head, commenting, "Uh oh, something tells me that things are going to be quite "interesting" tomorrow," and started to walk to the bathroom. The next day, all of the tribal leaders, ambassadors, delegates, and associates, began to board the train in their appropriate carts, except Sid, who decided to sit with his secret girlfriend, Buckaroo, in the country cart. Shimmer went inside the Technoi cart, Silovay also sat in the Country cart, and Chin-Hwa chilled in the K-pop cart, despite being by himself. While everyone got on board, Poppy, who held Harmony in her arms, monitored the activity and soon got a thumbs-up from R and B, allowing her to shout, "Bring in the cake"! Three trolls in hazmat suits pushed a train cart with a huge, golden, multi-layer, glowing cake. Once the cart was safely connected, Poppy soon got onto the engine, joining Branch and Aggie as she placed her baby in a special baby seat. Then, Melody hopped into the engine while shouting, "Wait for me! I've always wanted to ride in a train engine"!
Branch looked over and saw that Melody was wearing an engineer's hat just like his, and her shades were resting safely on the rim of the hat instead of on her head like normal. In confusion, he asked, "Uh, Melody, where'd you get that hat"? Melody readjusted it while replying, "Oh, I had Satin and Chenille make this for me. I thought your engineer' hat looked so cool. I wanted one for myself." Branch seemed to smile at her answer while Poppy pulled out a map of Trollstopia, saying, "Ok, we have one hour to travel through Trollstopia while blasting confetti cannons along the way in honor of this momentous occasion. Then, we'll arrive at the amphitheater where all of the trolls will gather to celebrate the train." Aggie then added, "Don't forget that we'll also have to monitor the cake and make sure nothing bad happens to it while we're riding." With everything set, Branch shouted, "All aboard," and started to turn the crank while pressing some buttons, turning the train on. As the train let out a loud whistle, Melody shouted happily, "Let's rock this train," before it took off, whooshing down the track, leaving a glitter trail behind.

Throughout most of the trip, the train zoomed through almost all of the Trollstopian neighborhood, as every troll got to see the new Metroll train pass and blast party cannons while doing so. While inside, Poppy was shoveling confetti into a chute where the cannons were connected to. Meanwhile, Melody was looking ut the window while saying, "This is awesome! I love trains," while Aggie was pushing a refreshment cart through the pods as she said, "Refreshments! Drinks! Snacks! Anything you need, we got"! Currently, she was in the Techno cart, and the moment she finished speaking, Stereo shot her hand up, asking, "You have any cotton candy with seaweed chips? Ooh! and maybe some of those marmalade honeycakes"? Trollex thought that the combination sounded weird as he asked, "Who eats that? And Stereo, you never liked seaweed chips before." Synth replied, "She's pregnant, bro! She's gotta eat something to help the baby grow even if it's food she doesn't like." Laguna was bottle feeding Jasmine as she added, "Note: strange cravings are a significant sign in the growth of a healthy egg, despite how abnormal or out of the ordinary they may sound." Aggie fished through the cart and got a container of seaweed chips and a pack of cotton candy, along with a tray of marmalade honeycakes, and gave it to Stereo, who smiled and said, "Thanks, future sis-in-law" before opening the seaweed chips and eating them. Back in the engine, Holly came up to Poppy and Branch, asking, "Hey, y'all maand if we slow down ayy hair as we pass through Country Corral? Ay wanna shout ayy lil' Woo-hoo from the choo-choo"! Branch looked at his golden watch before saying, "Sure thing, Holly. We've made amazing time." He started to reach for a lever as he said, "I'm just going to ease the brakes and-," and pulled the lever down, but nothing happened.
When Branch realized the brakes did not seem to work, he pulled the lever up and down a few more times before pulling too hard, making the lever snap in half, much to everyone's shock. They zipped past Country Corral and covered everyone that was cheering on the station in confetti. Hearing Poppy and Holly shout, Melody turned her head around, asking, "What's going on," before seeing Branch holding the broken lever. Her eyes widened in shock as she then commented, "Well, I guess that's why they call them "breaks," before chuckling, thinking the joke she made was funny. When Melody noticed Holly, Poppy, and Branch giving her the deadpanned look, she cheered her throat and replied, "Right, not the time for jokes. But in all seriousness, what actually happened"? Branch looked at the lever before nervously saying, "Ok, not a huge deal, but it appears that we were so focused on the engine upgrades...I may have forgotten to put back the braking system," which earned a big, loud "What," from Poppy. At that moment, Aggie had returned after passing out snacks and had overheard Branch telling Poppy the bad news as she flew over, saying, "Wait, is it true? Are the brakes really broken"? Melody nodded and frantically commented, "Yep, and now we can't stop"! Poppy then heard Harmony crying as she walked over to her daughter and picked her up, calmly saying, "Don't worry, Harmony. Your daddy's going to do whatever it takes to fix this," before whispering loudly while feeling stressed, "You can fix this, right"?! Branch shook his head, saying, "There's no time to fix the brakes, but I can simply pull the emergency brakes, and we'll stop instantly." Melody then realized something as she said, "Wait! What about the cake?! If you pull the emergency brakes, the train will stop, but its motions will be so choppy, it'll send the cake flying and crashing to the ground"!
Then, R and B appeared from behind as Rhythm stated, "Mel's right, trolls. According to our calculations, pulling the emergency brakes could be disastrous for the cake. B will explain; she's been drawing up the figures all day," as Blues added, "Yeah! The stick figures"! Blues then proceeded to show a myriad of stick figure drawings of the cake flying off the train when Branch pulled the emergency brakes, making the cake splat as it hit the ground. Then, they vocalized what the possible disappointed trolls would sound like and mimicked them crying, as Branch commented, "Wow, that was specific." Poppy then nervously stated, "Guys, this is a "perfection" cake! We have to make sure it stays perfect for the party! There's gotta be another way we can stop the train without risking the cake flying off"! Aggie then mentioned, "Poppy's right! Let's put our heads together and try to think of something." Everyone thought for a minute as Holly then got an idea, commenting, "Hey, y'all! Ay just thought of ayy great idea"! Outside, on the cart with the cake, holly stood by the edge as she shouted, "It's hair-a-chute taame"! She hopped over the edge and held onto the railing, saying, "Watch and learn, y'all," as her hair changed into a parachute. As the parachute got bigger, it suddenly got caught in the wind, picking Holly up, as the terrified Country ambassador shouted, "Ay was totally off, y'all"! Melody swung her ponytail like a lasso and caught Holly, pulling her back onto the cart before she could get blown away in the wind. Once Holly was back with all four hooves secured on the cart, she hugged Melody and said, "Thanks, gerl, faw a-savin' me"! Melody smiled and said, "No problem, but now, does anyone have a plan B"? At that moment, R and B walked onto the cart as rhythm explained, "We do, girl! Don't worry, trolls, we'll float the cake out to safety with the help of," as she and Blues sang in unison, "The bubble beam"! Rhythm pulled out her remote while saying, "You do the honors, dear sister," and allowed Blues to press the huge button. In the blink of an eye, the Vibe Town spaceship appeared and summoned its bubble beam, launching a bubble headed straight for the cake.
However, the train was too fast, and the bubble ended up collecting a Puffalo. Seeing that missed, Blues gave the remote back to Rhythm, saying, "Why don't you try, dear sister"? Rhythm had a go at pressing the button, launching another bubble, as it missed and collected a bush. Seeing that this was going nowhere, Rhythm then suggested, "I know! Why don't we press it together"? Rhythm and Blues proceeded to push the button multiple times together as it collected rocks, plants, animals, even themselves, making the funk twins comment in unison, "Well, that's infuriating." Aggie flew up to them and popped the bubble they were trapped in, bring R and B back down and safely onto the platform again, before asking, "Anyone got a plan C"? Melody then snapped her fingers, saying, "I go tone"! Soon, she was wearing suction cups on the bottom of her feet, commenting, "These suctions are so strong, they only move if I choose to lift my feet. Now, all I need to do is hair up and," before twirling her ponytail and launching it, tossing it over a rock before pulling on it hard, saying, "If I'm right, the force of me pulling on this rock will stop he train no problem." However, instead of the train stopping, the rock got pulled towards them, flying through the air, heading straight for the cake. Everyone screamed in shock as Branch quickly took his hat off and formed a glowing hairball. He then jumped and shouted, "Hairball duken," launching the sphere at the rock, making it blow up into a million pieces away from the cake. Melody groaned and said, "Ok, let's think of a plan D." Then, Aggie noticed something in the distance and flew up, looking beyond the land, as she shouted, "Uh, guys, if you got an idea, do it fast because we're approaching the train station"!
Indeed, they were rapidly approaching the train station, where a huge crowd of trolls was gathered to celebrate the train's arrival. Branch then said to Poppy, "Sorry, Poppy. But pulling the emergency brake is the only way of stopping this runaway choo-choo, and I know it's hard to take me seriously when I say it like that, but still"! However, Poppy was determined, as she shouted, "No way! There's got to be another way"! She gave Harmony to Melody while taking, "Take good care of her, Mel. I got a train to stop," and started to run on top of the carts, with Branch following her. Aggie, wanting to help, said, "R, B, Holly, Mel, inside the carts! I'll go help Poppy and Branch"! Aggie's friends understood, and all ran inside one of the train carts as Aggie flew over to help Poppy and Branch. As she arrived, she heard Branch tell Poppy, "Poppy, how do you expect us to stop before we reach the welcome party," as Poppy, with courage and determination, replied, "On a wing and a hair, Branch! On a wing and a hair"! Poppy then proceeded to launch her hair in two different directions: to the right, wrapping around the mushroom, and the left, wrapping around a rock. Aggie gasped and stated, "My vision! This is what I saw," as Branch then shouted, "You saw this coming?! And you didn't warn us"?! Aggie retorted, "Well, I was going to, but everything seemed to be working out well, I thought it wasn't going to happen till it did"! As the train got closer to the station, Poppy struggled to keep a firm hold, hoping that the train would slow down. To her luck, it did, and finally, it came to a complete stop, as an exhausted Poppy declared, "Who wants cake"?! Everyone began to celebrate as all of the passengers on board began to exit the carts. Aggie and Branch couldn't believe it as Aggie hugged Poppy while saying, "You did it, Poppy! You stopped the train"! Branch kissed his wife on the lips before saying, "Great job, hon. I didn't believe it, but you actually went against the odds and stopped the train in time."
Melody soon climbed up to join everyone, on the roof of the engine, and gave Harmony to Aggie, who went flying over to Petunia and Peppy, as Melody commented, "Wow! That was awesome! Though...something feels wrong with this. Maybe it's because what you're doing is breaking at least 25 laws of physics." Poppy took a moment to catch her breath as she asked, "Really? Which ones," as Branch explained, "Well, at the moment, the law that states: For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction." Melody added, "Yeah, and in a way, your hair's acting like a slingshot. You're holding the train back and building pressure before...releasing it"! At that moment, the train was launched backward as Poppy, Branch, and Melody was soon riding on top of the now backward moving, runaway train, as Aggie shouted, "Oh no! Poppy! Branch! Mel"! Then, she saw McJagger run to her, shouting, "Aggie! Jasmine and Laguna are still on that train"! Everyone gasped and became worried about what would happen to them, but what really drove Aggie over the edge was when Shimmer and Silovay ran up to her, with Silovay shouting, "Cousin, we got's ayy problem"! At the same time, Shimmer added, "Cousin Chin-Hwa is missing"! Agie let out a shout in fright before exclaiming, "We gotta help them"! Essence stepped forward, saying, "Couldn't agree more, Aggie! Everyone on the Vibe City spaceship, quick"! With a press of a button, King Quincy brought over the Vibe City spaceship as it beamed everyone, even the party crowd, inside, before it started to fly after the runaway train. With the train, Poppy, Branch, and Melody were holding on for dear life, trying not to fall, when Branch saw that they were about to pass through a curved track, with the cake still in tow. Everyone screamed in terror as they went around the bend as Melody suddenly lost her grip and fell off the side of the engine...or so it seemed, as Poppy and Branch shouted, "Melody"! Luckily, Melody did not fall off and ended up struggling to climb back up onto the engine. Branch ran over and gave her a hand as Poppy asked, "Are you ok"?!
Melody shakily nodded yes before her ears twitched, signifying that she heard something as she commented, "Guys, do you hear that"? Poppy and Branch listened carefully until Branch picked up the sound of a baby crying. He gasped and shouted, "There's a baby still on the train"! Poppy, in concern, asked, "But Harmony's with Aggie! Who else would have a baby on the train"? Melody gasped in realization as she answered, "Jasmine! Jasmine and Laguna or McJagger, or both parents, are still on the train"! The pop rulers turned pale and gasped in shock as Branch shouted, "We have to rescue them," as Melody declared, "Right! I'll see if they're ok! You both try and get this train to stop"! Melody started to run to the Techno train cart and carefully swung inside through the window as she shouted, "Laguna! McJagger! Are you here"?! Suddenly, the sound of a baby crying made Melody lift her head and saw Jasmine, sitting in a baby seat, safely strapped in, but crying for her mom. Melody ran to the baby and made sure she was ok before saying, "Good. Jasmine's unharmed but scared. Don't worry. I'm going to find your mom or dad." Suddenly, she heard a sliding door open as Chin-Hwa entered the cart, saying, "What going on"? Melody was in disbelief as she asked, "Chin-Hwa?! What are you still doing here?! I thought you got off with Shimmer and Silovay"! Chin-Hwa was confused as he asked, "They got off already?! Also, who's baby is that," as he pointed to Jasmine in the baby seat. Melody sighed and replied, "It's Laguna and McJagger's daughter! I think they might still be on the train"! Chin-Hwa then stated, "I didn't see him in the funk cart. I think he might've gotten off already! Which means-," before both trolls heard a door knocking behind them. Melody saw a closet door moving a little as a knocking sound came from inside, making the rock/pop troll shout, "In there! Laguna must be stuck"! Chin-Hwa tried to open the door, but it was locked, as he said, "It's sealed shut! I can't get it open"! Melody then pulled out a thick rubber band from her pocket, saying, "Then, we're going to have to bust the door open"! Melody strapped the rubber band in the middle of two small notches sticking up from two of the seats. Then, she took her hat off and formed a glowing hairball with her hair, shouting, "Hairball duken," before stretching the glowing hairball back against the rubber band, like how the train was stretched against Poppy's hair earlier.
Melody aligned it with the poor while Chin-Hwa asked in concern, "Melody, what are you doing"?! Melody declared, "I'm taking a page out of Poppy's book," and launched the glowing hairball like a slingshot. It hit the door, making it explode, as Laguna stumbled out and rushed to Jasmine, unstrapping her from the seat and hugging her gently, saying, "Jasmine! Oh, my sweet baby girl! Don't cry, sweetie. Mama's here now." Jasmine ceased her cries when she looked up and saw her mother's smile, calming down instantly and nuzzling her tiny head into Laguna's chest. Melody and Chin-Hwa sighed a breath of relief as Laguna faced the duo, saying, "Thank you so much for saving me! I was about to grab Jasmine and get off the train, joining McJagger, when I felt the train beginning to move backward. But it was so fast, I was sent flying into the closet, and the door slammed shut. I tried to open it but found it was locked. I thought I'd never get out, but I was even more worried about Jasmine, and I didn't want her to get hurt. But I'm so grateful you two were here to save me." Chin-Hwa smiled and said, "Actually, you have to thank Melody for finding you and Jasmine in the first place." Melody blushed a little as she replied, "Well, thank your daughter for crying because I don't think we would've known you both were still in there if I hadn't heard her cry. Now, let's go! We have a train to stop"! Melody began to lead Chin-Hwa and Laguna to the engine while Poppy and Branch continued to hang for dear life. Then, both trolls saw that they were about to pass a sharp corner and braced for the worst. The train rolled off the track and was sent flying as everyone, outside and inside the train, screaming in fear, except Jasmine, who clapped in excitement. Fortunately, it landed on another set of tracks and was rolling safely. Poppy and Branch sighed a breath as Branch said, "We're still alive! The cake's ok, and we safely landed on the supplemental track"! Chin-Hwa peeked his head out the window and overheard what Branch said as he told Melody and Laguna, "Girls, I just heard Branch say that we landed on the supplemental track. We're gonna live"!
Melody then froze in fear as he asked, "Did you say...the supplemental track?! Oh no! This is bad"! Chin-Hwa, confused, asked, "Why is that bad," As Laguna answered, "Note: It's bad because THERE'S AN UNFINISHED LOOP D' LOOP"! The trio inside the train cart screamed in fear as they saw that they were rapidly approaching the loop d'. And they weren't the only ones scared because Poppy and Branch just realized it too and were also terrified about going over it as well. Melody then said, "No one's dying today! Everyone, to the engine"! Melody placed her engineer hat back on as she led Chin-Hwa and Laguna to the main engine room. Once inside, Melody commanded, "Ok. Laguna, strap Jasmine in the baby seat! She's gonna need it! Chin-Hwa, with me," as the Magic K-pop troll asked, "What are we going to do"? Melody looked at the emergency break and said, "We're going to put a stop to this train...even if it ends up destroying the cake." Melody placed her hands on the emergency brake and started to pull it down, but was struggling, as she said, "It's...not...budging"! Chin-Hwa grabbed onto the lever as well while saying, "I'll give you a hand," as Laguna joined in too, holding onto it while saying, "Note: me too"! The trio worked together and started to lower the lever slowly. On top of the engine, Branch and Poppy began to feel that the train was moving in a jerky fashion as Branch asked, "Uh, why is the train moving so weird"? Then, Poppy heard Melody's voice shout, "Keep pushing the brake down," as she grew horrified, saying, "The emergency brake"! With one final push, Melody, Chin-Hwa, and Laguna were able to push the emergency brake all the way down but got tossed into the back wall as the train came to a sudden and jerky stop. The perfection cake was sent flying into and crashed onto the ground, splattering everywhere. Poppy's face became hurt, horrified, and shocked, as she shouted, "The cake"! Branch gasped in disbelief too as he stated, "Well...at least the train stopped." Inside, Melody, Chin-Hwa, and Laguna were heavily breathing as Melody slowly asked, "Is...everyone...ok"? Chin-Hwa replied, "Tried...worn out...but alive," as Laguna added while picking her daughter up again, "Jasmine and I are also doing well, though I appear to be mentally worn out from a lot of physical activity in pulling that lever down."
They slowly hopped out of the train engine and saw the now splattered cake pile laid out on the track in front of them. Branch and Poppy hopped down from the train and ran to them as Branch asked, "Are you guys ok"? They all nodded as Melody said, "Out of breath...but ok. Though I wish the same could be said about the cake." Poppy walked past the group and towards the smooshed cake pile, looking at it with a sad facial expression. Everyone nervously bit their lip, unsure of what to say, as Chin-Hwa spoke up, saying, "Queen Poppy, we're sorry that-," before Poppy interrupted him by saying, "Don't"! She then turned around to face them, took a deep breath, and solemnly said, "You three have nothing to apologize for. This...was my fault. I was so focused on getting the perfection cake to the party safely, I forgot about your safety, which matters a lot more than some silly old cake, no matter how good or delicious it is. I just really wanted the opening of the Metroll train system to go so well, and then, when things started to go wrong, my attempts at making things right just blew up in my face...and backfired badly. So, if anyone's to blame here, it's me and me alone. I'm so sorry, guys." Branch walked up to Poppy and hugged her, saying, "Hon, this was not your fault at all. Really. Look, we get that you really wanted things to go as planned, but...do they always have to? I mean, nothing ever goes as planned around here, but it's what makes Trollstopia so unique. Because in the end, we all end up having a blast anyway." Melody added, "Yeah, and life is always full of surprises that seem to derail our plans, no pun intended. Like," as Laguna held Jasmine close to her, saying, "An unexpected birth. "Chin-Hwa smiled and said, "An unexpected trip," as Melody added, "Or even...an unexpected friend. None of us ever expected to meet Aggie or learn about the MMTs until the day she came to your village. You never planned that, right"? Chin-Hwa added, "Or when you guys came to stay at Harmonious Land. Aggie told us that you guys volunteered to join her, but that wasn't planned, right? Because you all chose to do it because you cared about Aggie."
Laguna added, "And in the end, we all had so much fun." Poppy thought about it before saying, "Yeah...I guess you guys are right." Branch then added, "And anyway, we don't need a cake to celebrate the train, because the ride and the train itself is worthy enough to be celebrated as it is. So, sometimes, having things not go the way you want them...can end up being a blast. So, why not let them go off the rails every now and then"? Poppy kissed Branch on the lips before saying, "I really needed that, guys. Thank you." Chin-Hwa then walked over to the smushed cake pile as he said, "Too bad about the cake, though. It sure did look tasty." Then, Poppy started to get an idea as she said, "You know, the cake may be smashed, but it's still edible! And...the confetti cannons are giving me a great idea." At that moment, everyone saw the Vibe City spaceship coming towards them, as everyone got beamed down to the ground. Val ran to Melody, shouting, "Melly," as both cousins shared a tight hug, with Val asking, "Are you ok"? Melody smiled and said, "No...I'm rocking," as she made the rock gesture with her hand while both cousins chuckled together. McJagger ran to Laguna and Jasmine as both trolls tenderly hugged one another carefully before cradling their baby, who was squealing in joy. McJagger held their daughter close while saying, "I'm so happy you're ok. Both of you." Laguna blushed before she felt her older brother hugging her, saying, "Crikey, Laguna! Ya scared e half ta death there"! Laguna replied, "Well, I'm ok and alive, Finn, and so is my daughter." Aggie flew over and hugged Chin-Hwa tightly, saying, "Chin-Hwa! MMMM! I'm so happy you're safe"! Shimmer and Silovay joined in the hugfest as the Magic K-pop troll replied, "Sory if I scared you cousin, but I'm alive and kicking, though I'm also confused as to what happened earlier. Think you can tell me later"?
Suddenly, Holly's voice spoke up, saying, "Y'all! What happened ta the cake, y'all"? Everyone looked over and saw the perfection cake now destroyed, as Poppy explained, "The cake...was smushed when we stopped the train." That made the crowd and everyone else who had arrived from the spaceship very disappointed, until Poppy explained, "But! But...that does not mean we are celebrating without a cake"! She began to scoop some of the cake into a shoot as she said, "Let's have a blast, Trollstopia"!The cannons popped out and began shooting gobs of cake to the crowd, who opened their mouths and ate the globs they caught. Soon, everyone in the crowd was weeping in sheer joy and dropped to their knees in happiness, loving the taste of the cake. Shimmer, Silovay, Aggie, and Chin-Hwa, all caught globs of the perfection cake in their mouths, as they commented while weeping in joy, "So good"! Melody caught a glob as she commented, "This is the greatest thing I've ever eaten"! The train gave a mighty whistle as everyone began to party and celebrate, while Branch offered Poppy a plate of smushed cake, saying, "Well, that did not go as planned." Poppy accepted it while saying, "True, but... I wouldn't have it any other way," as she took a bite of the cake, enjoying it. Suddenly, the sound of the booming fireworks got their attention as everyone looked up and saw a huge fireworks display occurring, as Poppy happily exclaimed, "Wow! I don't remember planning this at all"! Aggie flew next to Poppy while saying, "Well, what can I say? Guess it's...unexpected," as she winked at the fourth wall while the fireworks kept going, making the setting sun very colorful, setting the perfect mood to end an exciting day.
