This is the 33rd chapter. This is the fifth part of Kamigari vs Maken-Ki. I don't own the series of Maken-Ki.
Okino Island
During the fight between Zane and 'Ouken', Zane have gained the upper-hand when he wounded the head of Kamigari with his gunblade Maken and his Anti-Element ability of his. However, he failed to realize that his gunblade have the fragment of Habakiri which it badly damaged 'Ouken'. Both Himegami and Leo decided to give him the helping hand which he doesn't need it, but they can't be too careful. When they're about to finish him, Hakuto have given his lord a helping hand by straining them with threads, given enough time for 'Ouken' to find the living things in order to use his 'Soul Collector' to restore himself. With enough time, 'Ouken' have fully recovered thanks to his 'Soul Collector' ability as he then goes after Zane with his killing intent, but Leo shoved him out of the way, getting by 'Ouken' instead, gripping his head.
Leo tried to struggle to get away from him, but no avail.
"What's wrong? Weren't you meant to defeat me?" 'Ouken' asks with a sneer. "Look, I want to see what you've got, so show me."
"Screw...you...jackass!" Leo said with a glare.
"You bastard!" Himegami shouts, rushed towards him. "Get you filthy hands off...him!?"
Himegami then turned to Hakuto, noticed that those threads have caught her again.
"It seems, in the end, that you were the one who was unprepared. Kodama Himegami." Hakuto said with a smirk.
"Well done, Hakuto. Your loyalty...is something to be admired." 'Ouken' praised him, causing Hakuto to blush.
"Blizzard Barret" Zane shoots his ice bullet towards the threads, causing it to freeze as Himegami then breaks them easily.
"Who's careless who? The careless one...is you. Ouken!" Leo shouts as he then unleashed his Maken. "Maken Generator: Electron. Lightning Fang"
Leo then used his lightning ability to shock 'Ouken', causing his to grit his teeth with pain due to the side-effects of the Anti-Element.
"How is it? My electric shock gives quite the shock, right?" Leo questions with a smirk.
"Damn you! If it weren't for that Anti-Element, I wouldn't be in this state!" 'Ouken' said with anger, loaded his fist.
'Guess Zane have done some damage to Ouken and he's really pissed off!?' Leo mentally shouts with shock.
"Upper Blues" Zane then began to upper-slash 'Ouken', forced him to let Leo go and sent flying. "Himegami Now!"
Until, someone shot the light arrow out of nowhere, heading straight towards at 'Ouken', sent him flying towards the forest with her sheer amount of force when he then crashed against the tree, caused him to cough a bit of his blood.
"Sub-Zero Blast" Zane fires his ice bullet at 'Ouken', causing the ice to not only freeze his body, but impaled him as Himegami then used her lightning element that was channeling her finger.
"Tenman Shrine: God's Roar" Himegami fires her lightning at 'Ouken', sent him flying at the sky.
"Damn...Are you really preserving your power?" Leo questions.
"My lightning attack can't be compared with yours." Himegami answered with a sigh. "It's frustrating to say, but attacking once uses up so much as usual, what an energy guzzler. Ikazuchi."
Until, the lightning shikigami named Ikazuchi has an appearance on a man with yellow martial arts gi, yellew spiky hair, lightning around his eyes, and wrappings around his ankles. Nozuchi has an appearance of a female with magneta kimono, long black hair, and branches around her hair.
"If I had known better, I'd have more caution. Even without 'God's Roar', you could've taken him out." Ikazuchi told her.
"That 'guy'...is my...biggest...anyway." Himegami said, dropping the subject as he turned to Leo. "Where did it came flying from?"
Meanwhile at the beach about 10 minutes before at the coast, the mutated insect-like locals then began to attack the members of Maken-Ki. However, neither of them don't want to hurt the locals because they were forced by Otohime since they've been drugged by Ouken's Dark Element, but they don't any other choice but to fight them.
"What's Happening Now!" Azuki shouts as one of the humanoid-insect starts attacking her with it's sickle. She manage to evade as she then retaliates with her own attack by kicking it, but the humanoid-insect decides to rip her shorts, leaving his butt exposed as she then kicked it with anger. "What The Hell Are You Doing! I don't have that many normal clothes! Seriously, if they had wanted us to leave, I would've listened to them since they're locals. Even so, what are these people? As well as suddenly going berserk, their power could match that of an ability user."
Azuki was about that since the members of Maken-Ki were having trouble fighting against the humanoid-insects since they were enhanced due to the Dark Element within them. Inaho was also having trouble fighting while keeping Kuuna out of her harms way.
"Want me to tell you?" Otohime questions with her evil smile. "If you cry like a monkey, then I will think about it."
"Screw you bitch!?" Azuki exclaimed, giving her a middle finger gesture.
"Now that's just rude." Otohime mocks.
"How about you cut the bullshit and give us an answer!?" Azuki shouts with anger, causing Otohime to sigh with disappointment.
"Well if that's what you want then, I gave the locals some drugs." Otohime told them as she began to explain. "This island had a giant octopus, right? I used it to create my new and improved drug. I wasn't able to get good control before, but thanks to you guys giving out the 'Sakuyabime' you found, I was able to complete the drug that converts others to my pets by amplifying it with my element. I then added the drug to the water supply. I wonder why that girl was not affected."
"W-...We get out drinking water from a well..." Kuuna answered with horror reaction when she heard Otohime's true intention.
"I see...Well, this is not a number you stop anyway." Otohime said, twirling the vile of antidote. "A good girl like you can't abandon these locals, right? With this antidote, they will return to normal. Does it actually work? I haven't tested it yet."
Otohime then laughs which she thinks that no members of Maken would try to beat them as Haruko spoke.
"Then we'll defeat you and.." Haruko said with serious determination.
"Make Your Give Us The Cure!" Azuki added, cracking her knuckles.
"You're determined." Otohime mocks with a smirk. "That's fine...We won't know...Unless you give it a try. But, there's one fool out there who seems unmotivated, right? Ms. President."
Otohime noticed that Furan widened her eyes with shock and horror since she's not defending herself while Yuuka was the one who was defending her with a kunai.
'Speaking of it, the President's been acting weird for some time.' Haruko mentally thought, noticed that something was wrong about Furan.
"Maybe it's the same as the time I faced Kamigari." Azuki stated.
"Wrong. The girl isn't scared of Kamigari, but of her grandpa." Otohime pointed out with a sneer, leaving Furan shocked.
"How do you know?" Furan questions.
"It didn't happen in Kamigari." Otohime answered, drew out the tablet. "Upon entering their third year, student of the Tenbi Academy would go to Kamigari for training, but last year, an outstanding second year entered amongst the others. And that was you, Furan Takaki."
She then began to play the record on the tablet, watching the third year students along with Furan arriving in Kamigari HQ. Of course, Furan bowed to Ouken as he spoke.
"I was fond of you and it seems I gave you an invitation, but you refused it. You came across as to proud.' Ouken said with a smirk, raise his hand. "So with trouble, would you like to become my mistress?"
With that, he began to ravage her without any remorse as the transmission have ended, leaving the members of Maken-Ki shocked.
"In fact, your friend made you take her place and escaped back to Tenbi herself." Otohime said, laughing with mockery. "Because of that trauma, she has androphobia. She's a lesbian."
With that, they finally had enough as Chacha then flip the giant can at Otohime with enough force to sent her flying.
"Don't worry, my dear President." Chacha said with a grin.
"Because I won't let him put on finger on you!" Haruko added with her serious expression, slashing at Gouken with her Murakumo which he jumped a few steps back.
"Chacha...Haruko..." Furan said with awe, but saw the monster was about to attack her, but Yuuka manage to block. "Yuuka!"
"Don't worry, Furan." Yuuka assured her with a smile.
That got Furan shocked when she remembered the time when Yuuka have saved her from Ouken since a year ago.
'Don't worry, it's okay. I'm protecting you because you're my important friend, Furan.' Those words have echoed to Furan's ears since she was the one who's been saved by Yuuka from Kamigari as she then pulls her glasses. 'At that moment, I'm the same as that time, but...I can't let this go on. But...Now...I...'
When the monster was about to attack Yuuka, Furan fires her light arrow at that monster, sent it flying towards Gouken which it caused him to cough a bit of blood while crashing right towards the wall with hard impact. Otohime then looked at her brother with worry, but barely manage to dodge when the light arrow was led astray.
"Everyone, aren't you misunderstanding something?" Furan questions with her serious expression, holding her Maken. "I am Tenbi Academy's Student Council President, Furan Takaki. My duty is not 'to be protected by others'. It is to protect the students of Tenbi Academy!"
"President." Yuuka said with awe, blushing.
"That's our Student Council President!" Chacha added with her huge grin, giving her thumb up. "High-landed and looking good!"
'That Maken is on of the Original Eight Maken, Habaya. It's confirmed...It's arrows of light will chase after it's target until hitting it, as long as the target touched the crystals created from this bow.' Otohime thought with her narrowed eyes as she spoke while dusting her clothes. "But Habaya uses a lot of energy, it's not something you can use continuously! Your last shot was useless!"
"That...attack had all my resolve behind it." Furan said.
"I don't get what you're saying, but those guys look like they're still alive." Otohime taunts with a smirk. "It looks like you guys can't kill the locals after all. Even after you used Habaya, nothings changed in the course of the battle-"
"Syria Love-Love Beam~!" Syria interrupts when she used her attack at the monster, causing it to turn back into a human, much to Otohime's shock as she arrived on this island to help the members of Maken-Ki. "Aw! You've been a bad girl, Otohime. For bad kids like you, the superstar of love and hope, Syria will give you a spanking."
Syria then winked with her peace sign pose, leaving Otohime scared.
"S-Syria Ootsuka. Why are you here?" Otohime questions. "You're part of Venus, your actions have already been reported to the staff."
"Oh well, because there's already a leader over there." Syria admits with a giggle, leaving Otohime scowled.
"Akaya Kodai! Was it hypnosis!?" Otohime exclaimed.
"Venus is part of Kamigari, so what do you intend to do?" Azuki questions, raising her eyebrow.
"Perhaps, you came as an ally?" Haruko added curiously.
"Eh? But I always thought we were allies?" Syria said with confusion.
"Since when?! I'll go and beat the crap out of you!" Azuki shouts with anger, about to hurt her, but Haruko raise her arm.
"Now, now, about you being on our side, we don't have anyone to encourage us like you do." Haruko assures her with a smile.
"Even if you got another ally, in the end, you still wouldn't be able to interfere with the loca-"
Before Otohime was about to finish her sentence, she heard a groan when she turned her head to him, failed to realize that the local wasn't a humanoid-insect which this is something she wasn't expecting this to happen.
"Wh-?! Why did they return back to normal?" Otohime questions with shock.
"You know, right Otohime? About my ability 'Inverse'. It lets me reverse the effects of the Dark Element on the locals. I only turned them back to their original bodies." Syria explains with her confident smirk. "How. Ev. Er. Within 30 minutes, they will revert back again."
That got the female members of Maken-Ki shocked when Syria told them about the down-side of her Inverse ability. Both Chacha and Azuki then began to bonk Syria's head, leaving a big bump of her head.
"Then, isn't that completely useless!?" Azuki yelled with anger.
"That was a harsh joke!?" Chacha added with a glare.
"Sorry, but within that time, you can fight at full power." Syria finished her explanation while rubbing her sore head, got Chacha and Azuki realized.
"That's right! We should seriously get going!" Azuki stated with a smirk while Chacha cracked her knuckles.
Gouken then rushed after Syria which he going to take her down.
"In that case, I will take you down!" Gouken exclaimed with his killing intent as he about to attack her. However, Syria used her legs to brag hold of his head.
"I'd love to respond to the courting of a hottie, but I'm sorry I already have my heart set on a different person." Syria told him with a smirk. "Later, don't misunderstand this, because I'm a higher rank than you, the one who's going down is you!"
Syria then to flip him over, using the Frakensteiner technique, slamming him down to the ground which caused a sheer amount of shockwave and caused Gouken to cough blood out of his mouth.
"Gouken!" Otohime shouts her brother with worry.
"Consider your surrounds when fighting!" Azuki shouts, coughing while Inaho covers her head and Kuuna shakes her head.
"But, as expected from you, defeating an opponent that Haruko was having trouble dealing with in a single blow. I guess she's been holding back when fighting me." Inaho said with a smile.
"I am annoyed, but I must admit Venus is really strong." Azuki added with a smirk, glad that Syria was on their side and not the other way around.
With that, both Haruko and Furan then approaches Otohime with their menacing smile and their dark aura, leaving Otohime really scared.
"Shall we begin? This naughty child's punishment." Furan said as she and Haruko then approaches her.
"A-Ah...You guys...W-What do you plan to do?" Otohime asks with her scared expression on her face as she then yelled. "I Tell My Grandpa!"
Meanwhile in the forest, Himegami and Zane have finally found 'Ouken' which he's been fully recovered, not really surprising for the two and the entire forest was starting to wither.
"You still haven't gone to hell, huh?" Himegami said with her serious expression, causing 'Ouken' to laugh a bit.
"You haven't changed one bit, you're still as sharp as usual." 'Ouken' said with a smirk, but gritted his teeth with pain. "However, that damn effects of the Anti-Element and the fragment of Habakiri was still within me, but I've recovered that time. This level of attack won't kill me."
"Maybe not, but it's enough to leave you wounded." Zane pointed out.
"Also, you've been indiscriminately sucking out souls of countless people." Himegami added. "Are you going to turn this island into a desert?"
"You're the same as always back then, always arguing with me. Admit it, strength is the key." 'Ouken' said, pointing the crest on his chest. "And my strength has reached the point where Tomoe crest has appeared on my chest."
That got both Zane and Himegami scowled with disgust which they know fully too well that 'Ouken' always thought that strength was the key for the victory, but he fought with no honor and don't follow the rules for the duel. He would use his underhanded tactics in order to win this fight which to the two, he's nothing but a coward.
"I'm delighted to be able to meet you once again, but..." 'Ouken' said, turned his head. "An insect that's been scurrying about for a while is now blocking my view."
Leo then noticed his two cronies were after 'Ouken' from behind as they began to charge after him.
"We Will Crush You!" The two said in unison with their serious expressions.
"Wha-!? You guys!" Leo exclaimed with shock.
Himegami and Zane knew that those two would try something reckless when they grab hold of 'Ouken's' arms, locking him down.
"You're awful, Leo. Leaving us out of a large fight." He said with a smirk.
"We've been pretty annoyed with Kamigari." The other added. "Please let us take a bit too!"
"You idiots! Get away, now!" Leo shouts with a warning.
"I'm holding his joints and...I'm confident in my strength..." He told him.
However, they failed to realize that 'Ouken' was much stronger than the two when he began to flip to them over with ease.
"I don't pay attention to such puny elements." 'Ouken' mocks. "You call yourselves ability users, and you go for the joints and strength. If you're ability user, then fight like one!"
With that, 'Ouken' then slammed the two done with authority, causing a small crater and the cracks on a ground, leaving the two beaten and coughed a bit of their blood.
"Atsushi! Kouji!" Leo called them with worry.
"Bastard!" Himegami cursed as she rushed after him, but was holding back by Zane when he raised his arm. 'Ouken' grab hold the two and raise them with his smirk.
"Sorry, Leo. We screwed up again." Atsushi apologizes to him.
"Trash like us...really...are useless." Kouji added with his teary eyes. "We wanted to help Leo that always saved us, but...but we ended up...pulling you down..."
"You're suffered for sure. Indeed, you are a bunch of trashy worms." 'Ouken' mocks the two. "But since you want to help...Be my meat shield."
"You're nothing but a coward 'Ouken'. Dirty tactics, then using those two for shields, you're really are a fool." Zane said with his serious expression.
"What did you call me?" 'Ouken' questions with anger.
"You heard me." Zane told him. "You're just a coward who use any dirty tricks to get the win. But to us, you're nothing but a coward."
'Yep, you're nothing but a coward! Those aren't things a boss would do like using sneak attacks and using hostages, now would you?' The voice telepathically questions, earned his attention.
"Who are you!?" 'Ouken' shouts with a question.
'It's conscience, we haven't talked a lot these days.' The voice telepathically answered.
"That voice." Leo said, felt a familiar voice.
"I can feel an element, but it's not the same as theirs." Himegami added.
'Takeru?' Zane mentally questions with a smirk.
'...This voice...It is as if he's using the same telepathy as me.' 'Ouken' mentally as he turned his head to the source which it happens to be Takeru. "I don't know who's over there, but you've been mouthing off from such a long distance. Stop barking. If you have something you want to say, come here and-"
Before 'Ouken' could finish his sentence, Takeru then used his element to rush after him with his channeled fist as he was about to punch him.
"Absolute Fist" Takeru then punched him in a face, sent him flying.
"Nice timing, Takeru." Zane said with a smirk.
"Thanks, but he'll probably recover from that level of attack immediately, but...at least I confirm that it works. And it feels good to beat him up." Takeru told him.
"Brother?" Himegami said with confusion, earned Takeru's attention.
"Himegami! Thank goodness you're okay!" Takeru exclaimed with joy. "I was so worried when you disappeared! When I was on my here, an old lady got in my way, but thank goodness my bluff punches freaked the shit out of her."
"You Takeru?" Himegami asks.
"Eh? That's right, but I don't get why you're staring. Has my hair changed or something?" Takeru asks with confusion, petting his head. "It's all worn out because of Tesshin."
Takeru then noticed something from Himegami's skirt as he turned around, much to her confusion when he saw a black panties that was exposed. Zane then bonked his head, leaving him a massive bump on his head.
"Thanks Zane." Himegami thanked him with appreciation, earned a nod from him. "Anyway, you didn't have that element before. What did you do to get it?"
"Well, there were various things. It's a long story..."
"I don't get it. Why are you helping this girl?" 'Ouken' questions when recovered once more.
"He's back in no time. I knew this would happen, but...It's still shocking." Takeru said with annoyance.
"We did you expect? He has the ability of the 'Soul Collector'." Zane pointed out.
"So, why?" 'Ouken' questions again.
"It's because she's my friend." Takeru simply told him, causing 'Ouken' to laugh.
"Friend...huh?" 'Ouken' said with a smirk. "Perhaps, it's only you guys who think that. Even without her abilities...She isn't even a human."
Zane already knew Himegami's true form a month ago which it already send chills down to his spine and made his hair stand out, but Takeru was a bit confused as to why would 'Ouken' say Himeagmi isn't human at all.
That's it for the 33rd chapter. Anyway, what I going to tell you guys is that I'll be donating blood on March 15th. So, I'm just gonna make the most of it by working on those chapters in the different stories I've been working on.
