Title: Let There Be Carnage
A random dock worker was just sitting and taking a smoke break, he had a small little bag to throw it away in after. He looked down and screamed as Venom leapt out, who looked at him. "Smoking is bad for you.", Venom said casually before leaping away.
Spider-Man's was sitting on top of a building, looking out at the night sky after having repaired his suit from its minor damage before picking up a call from Yuri.
[Hey, there's been some alarms around Ryker's. I'd send some men but we've got our hands busy with both the blackout and Oscorp. Can you help out a bit?]
"Sure. I don't see why not, I'll call you when it's done.", Spider-Man said as he hung up, leapt off the building and swung towards Ryker's... though he didn't no how was he was going to get there. Once he arrived he thought of multiple ways, the simplest is the bridge near it... but Venom landed right next to him. "Oh, hey V. What brings you here?"
"We sense an offspring of ours, somewhere in that facility. That is why we are here.", Venom said looking down at the smaller spider. Spider-Man noticed his voice sounded... different, it sounded nearly identical to Eddie's but with a deeper undertone with a slight reverberation.
"Who am I talking?", Spider-Man asked
"It's me, Eddie.", Venom said as its face peeled away to show Eddie for a split second before re-emerging over it. "Me and my other decided I'll take the driver's seat for a while.", Venom explained as his other was agreeing with him.
"So, since we're both here... wanna team up?" Spider-Man asked him as he held out his hand.
"For now.", Venom didnt shake it, but grabbed him with his tendrils and leapt off to Ryker's. Landing down at the overhead entrance and seeing... just pure chaos.
"What the hell happened here? It's like someone deliberately freed all the most dangerous inmates.", Spider-Man was actually surprised on how fast it happened. "This is bad."
"Indeed. It is because of our offspring, behold.", Venom pointed at three inmates who were attacking the sable agents, the inmates had red goo wrapped around security around their body. "Parts of our offspring."
"Well let's go!", Spider-Man freed himself and drop kicked one of the possessed inmates. Venom leaping down and creating two craters the size of his feet. Grabbing one of the inmates and throwing them at the sable agent, before grabbing another one slamming them repeatedly before breaking the inmates back as Spider-Man took care of another sable agent.
"Help!", Venom was immediately on the way and lifted a car pinning an innocent man down and threw it away. "Thanks! It got so bad so fast."
"You must leave, get as far away here as possible.", Venom said as Spider-Man swung past him, Venom running after as they encountered more of the inmates and sable agents, the two taking them out effortlessly.
Spider-Man lifted up a piece of rubble trapping an innocent man. "Go to the bridge. The police will take care of you from there.", the civilian nodded and ran off.
Venom leapt over a fire as Spider-Man was close behind him. Venom grabbed the arachnid hero with his tendrils and threw him at a sable agent, effectively knocking them out. Venom charged in and tackled the sable agent before snapping an inmates neck with a tendril. Shortly after, Spider-Man took care of the sable agents quickly. Helping another civilian and got them to run off.
Donald Menken was surrounded by the possessed inmates, scared for his life as they stared at him with pure white eyes. Before they could attack, on was grabbed by the neck by a tendril, another was knocked out by Spider-Man swing kicking him. "We should break dance fight instead. You should see me do the worm!"
"We've seen it and we are not impressed." Venom shot back as he round house kicked a inmate unconscious while The Spider used a seismic blast to send three flying, the other two were knocked out by Venom quickly. "Menken!", Venom grabbed him by the throat and roared in his face. "Where is he?! Where is the offspring?!", Venom took full control of the body this time and was ready to consume his brain.
"Hey! Relax, put him down.", Spider-Man could tell Eddie was berating him about it, so Venom dropped a gasping Menken on the ground, giving Eddie control. "What happened here?"
"It was... Kasady. We were experimenting on him.", the two... well one hero and anti hero looked at each other with unsurprised looks. "Look, the danger is real we turned Kasady into something horrible and he wants to make more like him."
"More? When did Kasady become a social butterfly?", Spider-Man asked slightly amused.
"He had an abusive father, alcoholic mother. He was always help us of other kids with loving, stable families.", Menken said as Venom and Spider-Man nodded.
"He's trying to create one."
"Yes! But out of the most dangerous inmates Ryker's has to offer. He wants to build a family in his image.", Menken explained, rubbing his side a little bit.
"Okay, how do we stop Kasady?", The spider asked as Venom was very tempted to just eat him.
"I-I'm not sure you can. You'd have to overwhelm the Symbiote we injected him with-", Menken was cut off.
"Intense heat and sonic vibrations. We know.", Venom was the one who cut him off. "We're one of them."
"What were you trying to achieve here anyways?", Spider-Man asked as Menken pointed at Venom.
"I don't understand it fully, but that Symbiote's original purpose was to cure Harry Osborn. We found another piece of it underneath the tower and we just... couldn't resist,", Menken admitted as Venom grew sharp spikes on his body, scaring the smaller man. "We tested it on humans before, it can heal any disease, any damage and regenerate missing organs."
"We'll get you outside, and by we I mean Venom, which is more than you deserve. So I'll be going after Kasady.", Spider-Man announced as Venom looked at him befuddled.
"I agree. He's headed for the sub-basements... where the most damaged inmates are kept.", Menken said as he pointed to the building. "So if he makes them into beings like him... no one will be safe."
"Venom, you protect Menken here. I'll have a chat with Kasady:", Spider-Man said as Venom scowled. "You can eat him later."
"Fine.", Venom reluctantly agreed as his tendrils grabbed Menken, leaping away as Spider-Man entered Ryker's prison. Venom rolled his eyes as Eddie basically just laughed at him.
He lowered himself down from the ceiling. "Heavy duty security. What was going on here?", Spider-Man started to suspect their experiments weren't just that. He stealthily took down two of the Sable agents walking around next to an electrified cage.
Spider-Man then drop kicked another Sable agent walking in the floor above through a broken window. "Regret your life choices yet?", he asked as he proceeded to knock out the approaching on with a web rush. Spider-Man looked down at the cage below. "Electrical equipment... burn marks... I bet this is where they held Max Dillon once they picked him up from Ravencroft."
He used his lenses to scan the area, before noticing wreckage. "Let's see what you're hiding." after leaping over the cage, he pulled it out and saw more electrocuted ester. "Knowing Oscorp? They probably called it the Venom Wing... oh god a flying Venom? That sounds awesome! I should suggest it to Brock later."
Spider-Man swung through the narrow gaps and leapt through a narrow gap and landed on a steel beam. "The Venom Project... so I'm guessing Venom escaped at some point after he didn't work on Harry. So after that, they wanted to make him a weapon.", the arachnid based hero said as he leapt over onto a platform, seeing more inmates possessing the red Symbiote, this time unconscious.
The spider human looked up to see a hexagonal hole above it, zipping towards a ledge, he hopped in and ran towards more or the unconscious inmates. "Now! You're trapped in my little web spider!", Kasady's voice rang out from somewhere as he crawled through the gaps in some pipes in the way. "Don't fear the darkness. Let it in, then you'll be like me!", Spider-Man heard Cletus laughing as he jumped off the wall and into a large hole Cletus made. "I'm finally my true self. You can too. I'll show you how."
Spider-Man backed up as he saw writhing tendrils attached to the wall. "Gross.", he said as he used the seismic blast to blast it out of his way and continue running towards Kasady.
"I know what it's like to be part of something bigger. You'll find out soon.", Cletus laughed as Spider-Man blasted another pair of tendrils, zipping towards a pipe and doing the same to another. "I've got a growing family, Spider-Man. So many mouths to feed. I think I'll feed em you!", he started whispering to himself. "My buddy here is hungry. She wants a nice juicy Spider to munch on!"
"Flattering.", Spider-Man scoffed as he found the source of Cletus's voice, the large basement in an even bigger cave. With barrels just strung about in the entrance way.
Kasady himself was there. Now having the Symbiote rapped around his body tightly, but not fully formed like Brock. He picked up a key before it was webbed in his hand. "That's far enough Kasady, one of you is already too many.", Spider-Man said as Cletus yanked Spider towards him and punched him in the face, much harder than what was possible.
"I'm not Kasady. Not anymore... I'm my true self now. I'm CARNAGE!", Cletus roared as Spider-Man leapt up and kicked him in the face. Using his web to gain height and swing about, Cletus scowled as he shot out barbed tendrils that missed. In which he received a drop kick to the back of his head. Then a round house that slammed him down in his back. He chuckled, amused at this. "Poor little spider. You're just not ready to see the truth, are you?"
"I didn't web your mouth shut cuz I didn't want you to suffocate. Now, you're talking me out of it.", Spider-Man stated with a somewhat joking manner.
"You think you're joking, but I know what you won't admit to yourself.", Cletus didn't look at him, but just stared at the ceiling. "When I killed those criminals, you were happy. You were grateful to me, weren't you?"
"No-I"
"It's not too late to understand. I'll tell you whatever you what to know.", Cletus said as he finally looked up at him, Spider-Man walked over and couched by him.
"You say you're searching for answers in death. But what were you trying to do when I stopped you? Make others like you. A family.", The Spider looked down in him curiously.
"So we can spread the message. The truth. That chaos and death are-"
"Wrong. You're trying to create a family because you never had one. You weren't looking for death, Cletus, you wanted a life you never had.", The Spider shot back before Cletus could finish his sentence. "You said you kill to understand death right? What are you trying to understand?"
"The meaning. The truth. The secrets it reveals about all of us, that we're afraid to see.", Cletus answered in his most blunt tone.
"I can tell you that. Death is apart of life. It happens. Sometimes for a reason, sometimes for no reason. You're wasting your time looking for a cosmic answer in death. Life, is where you find meaning.", the Spider-Man stated in response to Cletus, quickly thinking of another question. "What makes you think I'm anything like you anyways?"
"You wanted to do what I did... end those criminals forever.", Spider-Man simply nodded reluctantly to what Kasady had said. "I knew it."
"But thats human. Anger, wanting revenge it's not wrong to feel emotions like that. It's wrong to act on them.", the arachnid said as Cletus chuckled.
"Here's the real difference between you and me, Spider-Man. I'm at peace with who I am.", he announced.
"Well you shouldn't be."
"And you should? Then why aren't you?"
Spider-Man facepalmed as he got up and backed away from Cletus. "Sorry Cletus, I just realized talking to a psycho killer isn't gonna give me the answers."
"I know what will. DEATH!", Cletus proclaimed as Spider-Man watched as the Symbiote started to bleed out in its fullest, becoming Carnage. Carnage appears to be a smaller version of Venom, along with having a muscular build with larger, black claws and clawed toe tips. His face was covered by this ooze and had large white eye splotches along with black teeth. His body is mostly red, having a similar to muscle tissue.
Carnage formed an axe and charged at him, swinging at Spider-Man who leapt up and kicked him into a few barrels, they had gasoline inside of them. "I can help you Cletus! Get you the people who can fix what they did to you!", he said as he uppercutted Carnage, who leapt away from the brewing fire.
"You're the one who needs fixing, Spider-Man! I'm finally perfect. What I was always meant to be!", Carnage said as he leapt from his position into another wall, before being shot down by a seismic blast and crashed down before being kicked in the fire.
Carnage leapt leapt up as he caught on fire and landed ontop of his Spider enemy. Clawing at him, in which he was sent flying back by a seismic blast. "You live in a world of illusion... you and everyone like you. Chaos is the only thing that's real, chaos and death. When I've got my family to there, we'll spread the word. We'll wake everyone up.", Carnage explained as he sent out a red and black humanoid from his back as he leapt away to recovered.
"I wish you wouldn't. After the week I'm having, I could really go for a nice, long nap.", Spider-Man said as he shot a seismic blast at the clone of Carnage, sending it into the roaring flames, hearing pained screeches from the creature, dying after the exposure. Right as that happened, he shot an impact web at Carnage, chasing him to lose grip and fall into the fire, leaping out quickly and screaming as he ripped himself away and leapt out.
"Why are you fighting me? We're so alike... practically family already.", Carnage tauntingly stated with a cackle. "Admit it. What I did to criminals is what you want to do. I can help you get there. Help you be free, like me.", Carnage sent out barbed tendrils at The Spider who skillfully dodged.
"Wrong. I'm nothing like you. The whole reason I'm here; the whole reason I do this is to stop people like you!", Spider-Man then shot another seismic blast at Carnage; who was sent flying into the fire, but with the constant blasts and fire, it couldn't hold it in anymore.
Carnage screamed in pain as his 'flesh' rippled violently like water. Screaming to himself as he tried to crawl out, in which Cletus did just that... but with a dying Carnage Symbiote. "No... don't wanna be alone again. Just let me die...", the high pitched whimpers of the Carnage Symbiote was audible at this point.
"That's not the answer, Cletus. None of us are going to find any answers here.", Spider-Man said to him with an exhale.
An unmasked Spider-Man and Venom with its face unravels to see Eddie were sitting on a building high enough so people couldn't see them clearly. "So, you defeated Carnage by yourself. Kinda impressed.", Eddie said with a smile as he was eating chocolate covered tater-tots.
"Same.", Patrick said as he thought he was gonna get killed in the first few seconds of that fight, hell he was still drenched in sweat. "Thanks for comin Eddie, even though Venom just didn't help."
"Yeah he's an asshole like that.", Eddie said as he stood up and dumped the rest of the tater tots in his mouth. "See you on New Years.", Eddie said as Venom wrapped around his face and leapt off the building, swinging with the assistance of tentacles.
"This would all be so much easier if I had a giant robot.", Patrick exhaled as he slipped on his mask.
