So...lots of guesses in reviews! This chapter will answer some things...and also possibly ask more questions.
Also, just to clarify, I saw a review that had talked about the ghosts still possessing the children and such. I wanted to make it clear, while I do try to acknowledge the cannon lore that we know, there are things that will be different, for one, because of the storyline I have chosen for this, and two, having extra characters in will change circumstances that happen. So while I do my best to acknowledge the lore and try to follow it, there will be some things different because this is a fanfiction.
Thank you for reading that!
Silverleone: Glad it took you by surprise! Hopefully there is a few more things that will in the future! And yeah, I can understand that.
SilentAmbiance: Aw! Thank you so much! And don't worry! I totally understand life stuff! I do plan on going for as long as I can! Thank you so much!
Fantom Knight: Ah, well this chapter will answer that question for you. Yes, he was trapped in a specific place for a specific reason. (Also...congrats on being the hundredth review!)
PK - SPRINGTRAP HUG MEH: That...is actually a really good guess, guess we will have to see if you are right hm?
TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3: Interesting guesses, guess we will have to see hm?
Victor John Foxfire: When Foxy was talking to Leo in his cove, the bot did mention being taken apart and put back together wrong. (Chapter 11(here Foxy says, "...yes, but...the original children...they were killed here and then we moved to that other location. But that one was closed soon after...and we were moved back here...and...well...he took is apart. He was so determined...I can't even honestly say how he did it.")) Then when Leo asked what happened to the murderer and if he was still around...the fox proceeded to say..."...I don't know. I think the kids do, but they won't say anything." So that event has already happened. I hope that clears things up, sorry if it wasn't clear.

Chapter 33
Lies.
"You…have a body?" Leo asked stupidly, he stared up at the animatronic before him. There was a raspy breath from him and the bot shifted on his feet looking to the side.
"...yes, well...I wanted to tell you...but I didn't...I wasn't sure if I wanted you to see...or understand what happened to me." he paused and looked to the side his one whole ear twitching like it wanted to move. "It seemed to bother you a lot. What happened..." He trailed and Leo took a breath rubbing his face.
"Okay, okay well...no matter...you can't be around people in that condition. We will be shut down for unsanitary conditions." The guard took a breath and looked him over. "There...are...cleaners right? You had said that. Cleaners for the suit...that uh, specialize in this kinda thing right?" He asked, not even noticing that he had begun to pace the room.
He could hear the creaking of the suit as Scott's head tracked him.
"Leo, calm down. It's going to be alright." The guard froze as a mechanical hand was placed on his shoulder. He paused and looked up at him.
The lack of eyebrows, and permanent grin on his face was a bit unsettling considering that a person's guts were all over this suit.
But...he knew he was trying so the guard pushed aside his repulsion and took a deep breath, "right...yeah...though...we do need to get you cleaned up...seeing you like this will help...no one." He took a breath and turned to face the animatronic before him, "do you remember the guys who used to clean up the suits? If I start asking around it's gonna look suspicious." Taking another breath he rubbed the back of his neck glancing back at the doorway that led to the main room.
This was all just going to look all the more suspicious on his part, but despite his earlier claims, he couldn't show Scott to the others. Not in the condition that he was in.
That wasn't fair to Scott...or the animatronics.
"I'm not sure...I know the Byrds were involved a lot, perhaps they would know how to fix the suit up?" He proposed and Leo shifted in his spot turning to look up at the zombified bunny.
"...well…I don't know where the Byrds are...but Joey...is related to them...I think? So...maybe she can help? I just...don't know what to do about..." his eyes fell over all of the alarming pieces of...something-the-guard-did-not-want-to-think-of.
Scott seemed to catch onto what he was saying and looked down at himself, it was awkward, because of...what was inside of him.
"Oh...right, I guess I've just gotten used to it..." He paused and then lifted a hand to touch one of the pieces...and Leo made an uncomfortable squeaking noise before gently clasping his hand.
The deceased man looked up at him and the guard let out a breath offering the best smile he could, though it likely came out more as a grimace.
"Let's...not touch...that okay?" The bot paused before looking down at the red body parts and then back at him nodding with a creaking noise that made Leo wince.
"Right, probably for the best." Leo nodded at that and then took a breath, he hopped from foot to foot and looked around.
"Okay, I need to get back to the others, you need to stay in hiding okay? We don't..." he hesitated before biting his knuckle and then instantly pulling it away recalling what he had just touched.
Holding his hands out awkwardly in the air before him he let out a breath.
"Just...hide alright? I'll figure out how to get Joey here." There was a pause before the animatronic man nodded and Leo nodded in return giving him awkward thumbs up and heading down the hallway. He glanced back at the now robot man who caught his gaze and waved, Leo waved a bit in return before heading into the main room.
The others were talking, but thankfully the conversation moved on away from him. The guard took a breath and started heading toward the others, only to freeze as a chill ran through his body.
A instinctive feeling of checking is surroundings surged through him, the guard looked around only to stiffen up completely at the sight of a empty...but bigger Freddy costume sitting in front of the kitchen doors.
All the light in the room seemed to focus on it and Leo felt his blood run cold in his body.
The feeling wasn't fear...or was it? It was unclear, but it made him go rigid and take shallow breaths, what was that thing? Hadn't he seen it before? How was no one else reacting to it?
Why couldn't he look away?
All of those questions came to a halt at a hand on his shoulder, the guard jumped and looked around, only to find Scott standing behind him once more. He let out a shallow breath only to tense again and look at the others.
Luckily they were deeply consumed in their game.
He turned back to the animatronic man and opened his mouth, only to be cut off, "Leo? Are you alright?" He asked, his mouth unmoving but the voice drifting like a whisper to his ears. The guard took a breath and looked back at the kitchen, the bear suit was gone.
But his eyes still lingered on the spot. What was that supposed to mean? What had come over him?
"Leo?" Scott's voice popped the bubble of his spinning mind and he jumped again but turned to him and took a breath. The weight on his shoulder from the animatronic hand helped to ground him back into reality.
He finally focused on Scott and took a deep breath nodding quickly, "yeah...yeah I'm good." His gaze turned to the others and he took a breath before turning back to Scott, "you gotta go hide."
Stepping back he motioned for him to go with his hand and after a moment the animatronic nodded before heading down the hallway.
Leo paused a moment to watch how he walked. It was lumbering, and clearing difficult for him to do. Was it because he was a soul in a body that didn't belong to him?
Or did it have something to do with what was inside of the suit?
Shivering the guard shook his head and headed toward the others.
He had to figure this out and soon…
The sound of commotion in the other room was a lot more obnoxious now that he didn't have a wall to filter it out.
Once Leo had departed William made his way into the office, or he did on his second attempt.
The first attempt almost ended with this rusty hunk of metal falling to the ground due to his stupid ear being caught and pulling against him.
The second time he ducked down quite a bit and entered the office. His eyes flickered around and fell upon the red phone that sat upon the desk.
A raspy breath made his shoulders drop, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit, the frame of the suit shuddering at the effort.
With difficulty he reached out and picked up the phone and brought it to his ear.
"What on Earth are you doing there? Uh, didn't you get the memo? Uh, the place is closed down, at least for a while. Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, someone used it...Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, someone used it...Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, someone used it..." the last phrase kept repeating, before it started over at the beginning again. The zombie rabbit slowly lowered the phone and shook his head letting out a faint chuckle.
"You were right about that Scott, someone did use the suit." He let out a raspy breath and looked around, "It even ended up becoming my permanent immortal home." His attention turned to his free hand, with difficulty and the creaking of gears and joints. He moved the fingers about, but not without the tugging of what was wrapped up in the endoskeleton. With a raspy breath he positioned the phone to his ear again. "You were always so...naive Scott. It was really easy to slip things under your nose. You and Henry...so easy to slip things past." He took another raspy breath and continued to move his hand about hoping to tear whatever tendon or bone was holding it back. "But those Byrds..." His hand curled into a fist, the joints groaning in protest. "They always got in the way, even till the bitter end." He let out yet another raspy breath and turned to the phone. "However, they are no longer a problem are they? Whole new generation, and they know nothing." His eyes flickered to the window as if he could see the front room. "I just wished those children would've left their hosts already." The message on the phone started over again, and he let out a breath chuckling to himself. "No Scott, you won't be able to warn them. Not this time. This time, I will get the immortality that I want." The repeated cycle began to play again and he chuckled once more, "however, I will give you one thing. You never did stop trying to help all those night-guards." He placed the phone on it's holder ending the call, then using his hand he pushed the phone off the table and onto the ground. Then, with the groaning of the knee joint, he lifted his foot, only to then bring it down upon the phone. It crushed easily under the weight of the animatronic foot.
The ringer died in a faint squeak and he shook his foot out to get rid of any unwanted pieces left lodged in there.
His eyes flickered around the room, and he couldn't help but shake his head, "nothing has changed has it?" The animatronic man went over to the desk and grasped ahold of the tablet. It was impossible for the screen to read his now furry fingers, but he knew what buttons to press to get it into camera view. Looking around he spotted a pencil.
It was difficult to hold the small item in his huge hands, but after fumbling for a bit, he managed to get a grip. Then he hit the main room camera.
The sight was...interesting. Of course, he had heard everything going on over the years, the walls here were thin, and not much went on without him knowing about it. But it was different seeing the animatronics he helped to create sitting there playing cards and speaking with each other.
Especially since, last he checked, the toys and originals did not like each other very much.
His eyes quickly found the second smallest occupant in the room.
Leo.
It didn't look like he was telling them about the situation. Which was certainly good.
He had to figure out how to deal with the children first.
His eyes flickered up to the prize box and he had to resist the urge to snap the tablet in half. That thing, that sneaky little creation is what stopped him the fist time. Stopped him from continuing to do experiments.
He would have to take care of it before things went down a similar path once again.
The most curious thing about this whole situation...was that he knew the children were still occupying the suits. Even though they had (supposedly) vanquished him and gotten their revenge.
So why were they still here? What other unresolved business did they have?
Springtrap had no intentions of moving on, there was far more he wanted to accomplish.
And that tiny little guard was the key to it all.
Leo took a breath approaching Enix first, however the first one to notice him was Bonnie. The rabbit looked up both ears lifting.
"Leo?" He asked and the guard gave a nod before shifting as all of their attention focused on him.
"Hey guys..." he trailed before taking a deep breath and turning to Enix, "hey...uh, do you mind calling in Joey? I think one of the doors is messing up again." He asked, and Enix paused before nodding a bit.
"Okay, yeah, I'll get her on the phone." He gets up and goes over to the other side of the room pulling the phone from his pocket. Leo took a breath and rubbed his forehead.
"Why do you need the doors working?" Freddy asked, suddenly making the guard jump and look at him.
"I uh...the kids, sometimes they get loud, hurts my head." He muttered before wetting his lips.
He hoped Scott was hiding well.
"You...alright Leo?" Chica asked carefully, and Leo took a breath shifting from foot to foot, all of them were looking at him except for Steven. He was sorting through cards with surprising ease, considering his large fingers.
"Hm? Oh yeah...just tired, I was up late watching tv last night." He fibbed before taking a seat with another breath.
"Ah yes, television." The Puppet hummed, and Leo looked over at him a moment, he was leaning over the edge of his box. The bottom half of him was still within. "I've heard talk about it, and children often ask if they can go and watch television at home, usually on their way out."
The observation made him pause and tilt his head.
Why was that important?
"You...are sure you are okay Leo?" Chica asked again, and the guard tensed taking a breath.
"Yes, my stomach was just upset with the food that Enix made me eat." He once again fibbed, but that only seemed to concern them more.
"Did...you throw it up?" Fred asked turning to look at him, Leo took another breath and opened his mouth to say something, only for Enix to approach again.
"She said she would be by soon. She was going to come by tomorrow, but I said the door thing and the kids bothering you. She seemed to understand that." The younger man admitted, and Leo couldn't help but let out a relieved breath.
It was good, Enix coming over, cutting him off like that.
He...needed to start being less difficult.
"How soon?" The older guard couldn't help but ask, and Enix looked at him with a raised an eyebrow.
"Lucky for your uncharastic enthusiasm for her presence…she said her and Acid were getting donuts, so they will swing over." The blue haired man claimed and Leo nodded with a breath.
"Good...good." He shoved his hands in his pockets and tried to ignore how they all looked at him a moment before turning back to what they were doing.
Enix looked at them before turning to Leo and nodding his head off to the side.
The older guard swallowed and followed him over, was he going to kick him out?
"Leo, I wanted to talk to you about something...earlier I was talking with the animatronics when I got a phone call-"
"We have arrived to save the day!" Acid's voice cut the younger guard off, and Leo quickly took advantage of the situation and went over to them. Joey came in after looking disgruntled and like she just rolled out of bed with a donut bag in hand.
"Great! The door is acting up! I'll show you what's wrong with it!" He said and then grabbed her hand dragging her off toward the back section of the restaurant.
"Ooh! Someone wants our donuts! Joey don't let the fiend have them!" Acid called following after them, the guard couldn't help but roll his eyes with a breath.
Sometimes this guy….
He led Joey into the hallway and looked around, even looking inside the hole to see if he saw a figure in the darkness.
"Um...Leo, why is there a hole in the wall?" Joey asked, pulling her hand away and rubbing her eyes. Acid came up behind them and his eyes widened a fraction for once not looking like he was on crack, and then he turned to look at Leo and the normal look was back.
"You saw the spiders too!?" He demanded, and the guard paused looking back at him.
"Uh...no?" Then he turned and looked around before spotting a shadow on the office window. His eyes widened and he came inside, "Scott?" He asked, stepping inside the room, his eyes instantly fell to the broken phone on the floor before finding the zombie rabbit sitting on the ground in the corner.
Scott looked up at his entrance and tilted his head, "is it clear?" He asked, and Leo took a breath looking over his shoulder as Joey entered the room, pausing mid bite in her donut.
"Uh...Leo?"
Acid followed in behind her and his eyes widened as he froze in place.
The guard turned and took a breath holding out his hands to ease them best he could, "I...can explain...but I really need your guys help."
"Something isn't right." Bonnie muttered as he picked mindlessly at his guitar, he turned to look at Enix who was sitting next to him, "shouldn't you go and check on him?" He demanded, and the human huffed before looking up at him.
"Excuse me, Leo is older then I am, if he wants to do something in the office or whatever then let him do it!" He snapped before turning back to the deck of cards in is hand and began to shuffle it.
"Uh...are you alright there Enix?" Steven asked, sitting across from them and tuning his own guitar.
This was really the only time that the two rabbits interacted without underlying tension.
Overall Enix saw Steven as quite a chill guy, he didn't often get upset about things, and wasn't nearly as moody as his original. However, when it came to his original counterpart the blue rabbit was quite full of snark.
This attitude of course didn't bode well with the purple original, and often times they got into arguments that resulted with Bonnie getting exceedingly irate with Steven's attitude.
Usually Leo or Enix had to break it up.
However, guitar time was the only time they seemed to be happy with each other.
"Yeah...I'm just...I don't know, that phone call earlier really bothered me." He muttered, elbows on his knees and hands clasped before him.
"Wasn't it just a prank or something?" Steven asked, and Enix sighed rubbing his face.
"Yeah...maybe, I don't know. Something about it seemed off and...unsettling..." He took another breath and rubbed his face uneasily.
"Hm, what was it talking about again?" Bonnie asked looking at him, the guard turned back to his cards and shuffled through them.
"It...was something about a suit. A yellow one I think..."
"What the **** Leo?!" Joey demanded grabbing his arm and pulling him away, she looked up at William and he could only gaze back at her.
It was remarkable how much she looked like her parents…
"Joey! Just listen to me, okay? This is Scott, he and I have been talking through the wall for the past few months. I didn't...I didn't know he had a body. He said he didn't want to freak me out..." he trailed, and the woman looked at Springtrap again, he dipped his head in response but didn't speak. Her brow furrowed and she removed herself and Leo from the room and into the hallway.
This left him in the room with the man he could only presume was Acid.
Or at least that's what he was going by this time.
"Where did you come up with Acid then?" William asked looking up at him, the young man jumped as he had been only staring at him for the longest time.
"I uh...I thought you would remember..." he muttered in response, but the animatronic man could only let out a chuckle.
"You think after all I have been through I would remember why you call yourself Acid? Stop being so self centered already." He snapped, and the man jumped with a breath, before rubbing the back of his neck trying to hide a smile. "What are you smiling about this time?" He demanded, only to pause as the man began to chuckle...a chuckle that turned into a giggle, a grin splitting over his face. Springtrap fell silent watching him carefully. Acid giggled harder and louder, he ran his hands through his hair now laughing near hysterical.
"I found you! I found you! I found you finally!" He called before holding his head and laughing more.
"You did not find me Andrew. The guard did." The animatronic countered, and that's when Acid...or more accurately, Andrew paused and looked up at him.
"...what?"
"You heard me. The guard found me, not you." He stated firmer, Andrew's hands dropped slowly to his sides and he stared at him his brow furrowed deeply.
"But I was looking for you this whole time! Father! I have been searching ever since you disappeared!" He took a step closer, "I've been trying to find you! I want to help you!" The multi-colored haired man motioned out the door that Leo came from. "Do you know how many places I've been to?! I even tried to get you out of the wall here! But the guard stopped me! That stupid drug addict! I would've found you sooner! I swear!"
"Well it's a good thing he stopped you, it wasn't time yet." At that the living man blinked. Springtrap gave a raspy sigh getting to his feet. He forced his non-complying legs over to Acid, the man stood there gazing up at him. Springtrap held up a hand pointing his finger at him. "You would've messed everything up. And you still have the potential of doing that. Just like you have always done." He let out a breath looking away, and ignoring how the man wilted a bit before recovering.
"I know! I know! But I have gotten better! I've been planning! Doing things! I'll help you with anything you need father! Just name it!" He tried, stepping forward, William looked back at him and took a breath looking away again.
"You don't let anyone know that you are my son." Turning back to the man he watched as he nodded, "and you deny it vehemently if anyone claims so." He instructed and Andrew nodded grinning.
"Of course! It makes sense! If they find out who I am then they will figure out who you are!" He then raised his hands and clenched his fists excitedly, "then we will take them out like that!" He swung his fist mimicking hitting someone. Springtrap sighed again looking at him as his eye twitched.
"...you still haven't changed." That came out as more of a growl then anything, but Andrew just smiled at him.
"Of course!" He then grinned his eyes almost getting smaller as he giggled clasping his hands before him, "and I know you need my bloodlust dad!" His eyes flashed with something that made Springtrap's ear lift up interested.
"Perhaps…you can be useful. But if you say anything…." He lifted a hand parallel to the boy's throat, and he tilted his head down causing shadows to cross over his face, "my child or not, I will kill you myself." At that last bit, he closed his hand into a fist and Andrew nodded with another giggle.
"Guess I will make sure not to disappoint you then!" He then paused and looked at the door where Leo left. "This means you won't need him right?" He asked his hands twitching until he closed them into fists. William took note of the bloodlust within his child's eyes.
"You touch that guard and you will die." He leaned down and growled as Acid looked back at him with a pout, "and I will make sure that you never come back." The words dropped like cement, and Andrew stared back at him his left eye twitching a bit. For once in this conversation, he didn't look like he was agreeing.
"...of course father." He turned and looked out the door, his knuckles popping as he tightened his fists until they were white. "I won't touch the ******."
Springtrap watched him a moment, that was something he had to keep an eye on. It was imperative that Leo stayed alive.
"Andrew. Where is Michael?" He asked, trying to divert his rage, the man paused before his shoulders dropped, losing their tension. A small grin split over his face.
"I'm taking good care of Michael, father." The tone of his voice made William squint.
"Where is he?" He demanded in a firmer tone, Andrew blinked, the grin disappearing into a small smile as he turned to face him again.
"Hm? Oh, he is at a nice little apartment in the city. He is doing just fine." The lie made William pause gazing at him carefully.
Andrew always had a tendency to smile when he lied, something he inherited from William, however, the deceased man had managed to suppress that as he got older.
Andrew it seemed, had not.
Decidedly the father chose not to tell his son, it seems Andrew had managed to get more sneaky and secretive over the years. William still needed a way to find out the truth.
The Michael situation would be dealt with, but for right now he had other priorities.
"Alright." He took a breath and turned to look out the door again, "what of Joey? Does she know? She didn't seem to put the pieces together."
"She does not, I made sure that anything she knows goes through me first. She isn't someone you need to worry about." He paused and took a breath, "there is one other guard that you need to worry about, his name is Enix. He seems to have almost adopted Leo as a younger sibling. I don't see why but it is what it is. He seems to have more common sense than the midget. He may pick up on something not being right." The man informed and his father nodded with another breath.
"Alright. But my main concern is the Puppet. Without that blasted bot and child, the other children won't be as bold." He rubbed his bulky hand against the jawline of his chin before lifting his head and turning to his son. "You...I know what you can do." Andrew looked up and lighted at that.
"Of course father! Anything you need!"
Springtrap looked to the door to make sure Leo hadn't returned yet, and then turned to him.
"I need you to take that ****ing Puppet out." He ordered, and watched as an unsettling grin split itself over his son's face.
"It would be my pleasure father."
I feel like dramatically playing the piano in a 'dun, dun, DUN!' Fashion, but alas, no piano for me.
So...several questions to ask today...
Were you surprised that it was William? Or that Acid is a Afton? What of Scott actually being in the tapes and phone calls? How do you think the others will react? Do you think William cares about Leo? Or is he just a means to an end? What did you think of Acid being Andrew from Sister Location? Do you think Acid will be able to keep his promise to his dad about not hurting Leo?
I hope you guys liked the chapter!
