D-Day had finally arrived. Alex had been up for a good hour and was finishing the final preparations for his sister's wedding, while Maggie had spent the night at Lena's house to make sure that Lena didn't contact Kara by any means. But she couldn't stop a sulphurous text message exchange between the two women that would have made the playboy magazine green with envy. Maggie had noticed Lena's abnormally bright eyes that evening, but she had put it down to the fact that the next day would be the happiest day of her life and she hadn't looked any further. The bachelorette party had somehow taken away all her logic and she was no longer able to think clearly because she still had a bump in the road.

Alex was not much better off. She hadn't noticed the text message exchange between the two women either. And fortunately Kara thought, otherwise her ears would still be ringing at this time of day. But nothing could stop Lena and the Kryptonian from being in contact. They were like two pieces of the same puzzle, yin and yang, white and black, water and fire. They were everything to each other. While Kara was mischievous, talkative and extroverted, Lena was more timid, spoke only when it was useful and was all about restraint, but she knew how to impose by her stature.

Yet, through contact with each other, the two women had learned to open up to each other to become the two beautiful and independent young women they had become today.

Alex, while his sister was still asleep, had gone to pick up Kara and Lena's wedding dress from the bridal store. On her way home, after dropping off Lena's wedding dress at her house, a man had blocked her way on the way with his badly parked car and the poor man had chosen the wrong day to upset the bridesmaid that she was. She had literally given him a dressing-down, and the poor man, who had only come down to get the bread, had taken it for his rank for at least a good ten minutes. She didn't even realize that it wasn't this gentleman who could make her late, but she, if she kept shouting at everyone who bothered her. Being Kara's maid of honor, she really took her role to heart and woe to anyone who tried to steal her car with the dress inside.

When she arrived home, she wanted to go and wake Kara but she was so excited to become Lena's wife that she was already up and almost ready. All she had to do was put on her wedding dress, do her hair and that was it.

When Alex saw his sister in her wedding dress, her sister remained open-mouthed about Kara's beauty. She thought she looked beautiful in this dress, and a tear began to be shed on her emotionally reddened face. Kara tried to reassure her, to tell her that normally it was up to her to be moved, that she could be moved too, but that she was not allowed to cry, that it was a joyous day today and not a funeral tried to joke Kara. This made Alex laugh moderately, that if her sister wasn't going to keep her dress intact, no doubt she would have thrown something at her.

But if Kara knew how beautiful she looked in her dress, she was already imagining Lena in hers. She knew that she would have eyes only for herself, that nothing around her would matter except this woman who made her heart beat and made her happy for so many years.

She was taken out of her thoughts by an angry Alex who was fighting on the phone with a florist who obviously hadn't understood everything and Kara felt sorry for the poor man.

For their part, Lena and Maggie finished getting ready. The businesswoman's wedding dress had also wiped a tear from Maggie's eye, reminding her nostalgically of the moment when she herself had married Alex. She thought Lena looked beautiful and she was sure that Kara would too.

Everyone was finally ready. Kara and Alex's parents had already arrived at the church and a limousine stopped in front of each bride's apartment to pick them up. The Kryptonian girl arrived first at the church and was taken aside by her mother who wanted to talk to her before she got married.

My darling, today is the happiest day of your life, I hope you will be as happy as I and your father were and still are today. I wanted to give you this gold bracelet that your grandmother, whom you never knew, made herself. She too had been in love with a woman before she met your grandfather. She wanted to marry her, but as you can imagine, at the time it was very frowned upon. So so that people wouldn't suspect her relationship with this woman, she made this bracelet to give to this girl to show the world her love for her without people doubting anything. Unfortunately people found out and had this woman murdered. This bracelet is the only thing that was left of her body. And your grandmother kept it all these years to remember what true love was. She really loved your grandfather, but this woman was the love of her life. And today, I give you this bracelet so that you can realize every day how lucky you are to have found a love as strong as the one you feel for Lena.

Eliza had tears in her eyes at the evocation of her mother. She had been happy but had lived her whole life with this suffering inside that she had never been able to let go.

But she knew that today was a different time, the deaths had changed, and this bracelet was the perfect symbol of the love that Kara and Lena had for each other.

After Eliza's moving speech, Alex comes to pick up Kara. Jeremia was waiting for him to take her daughter to the hotel. The church was filled with all the people who were close to the two women. It was an intimate yet beautiful ceremony. Rose petals littered the ground as Jeremia led her daughter to the hotel and the guests watched Kara walk with tenderness and kindness, and Eliza had tears in her eyes to see her daughter like this.

Emotion also overwhelmed Kara as she walked into her father's arms. Then she arrived in front of the priest and Jeremiah went to sit in the front row.

Now it was Lena's turn to enter the church on Maggie's arm. When she entered and Kara saw her, her heart literally stopped beating in front of the beauty and smile of the woman who would become his wife in a few moments. A whole range of emotions overwhelmed the young woman at that moment. She was trembling with all her being, the shivers were overwhelming her, and her eyes were shining as never before. And she had to catch her breath several times so that she wouldn't faint from the emotion.

For her part, Lena, when she saw Kara, was also breathless and had to take a deep breath to keep the pace. She thought his wife was beautiful at that moment, and she blessed heaven every day for having put her on her way.

She finally arrived in front of Kara, immediately taking both her hands so that she could look at her as intensely as possible. Instinctively she leaned over to kiss her, but a slight nudge from Alex reminded her that it wasn't yet time for that, which made the whole assembly laugh to see the two women in such a hurry to bond with each other.

Then the priest began his speech and the moment came when each of the two women had to say their vows out loud. Kara began first:

My love, you and I know that life has not spared us. However, there was only one constant in my life, and that was you. You were always the light that shone in my life. When we... when we lost all those years when I had lost my memory, I felt a great emptiness inside me without finding an explanation. I knew deep inside that there was something missing from my life. And that day, that day I saw you again even though I had no memory of you, well that day, without knowing the reason, that emptiness filled in instantly. I couldn't know why, but I was already sure of one thing, and that was that you, Lena Luthor, were the one who would fill all my ills. The one for whom I would get the moon, give my heart and my life without hesitation. You are my best friend, my love, my soul mate, and today you finally become my wife. I love you Lena, I love you more than my own life and I promise to spend my whole life making you happy, in good and bad times alike.

Both women had tears in their eyes now, Lena had been greatly moved by Kara's speech. And so it was her turn to unveil her vows to the one she loved.

Kara, my love, nothing is more beautiful on this earth than the way you look at us right now. You are generosity incarnate, always giving service and helping others. This is one of the things I admire about you. And to be part of your life today is the most wonderful thing in the world. When we first met when we were 12 years old, I knew immediately that you were special to me. And later, in college, when I put into words how I felt about you, I knew right then and there that I wanted to be your wife. Life kept us apart for many years, and those were the hardest years of my life, because I had not forgotten how I felt about you. But on the other hand, this separation has been beneficial for us, since it has brought me before you today, in front of this hotel, so that you can become my wife. And if I had to start all over again, I would make exactly the same choices again because I would know that they would lead me to you and to our love. I love you Kara Danvers, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Both women were now crying. And the priest finally said the magic words:

I declare you wife and wife, you are bound together until death do you part.

At last they were able to kiss passionately, the first kiss that would be followed by many others, so exciting was their life with each other.

And this is the end of this fanfiction, I hope you enjoyed it. Don't worry, I'm going to start a new one about Clark and Lexa. But this time I'll only post three times a week, to better create the characters and the development :)
