Chapter 35

Dean made his way downstairs once he got Sammy to lay down on the couch finally. He paused when he looked at where Colleen and the dogs had been sleeping and saw his sister and the dogs weren't there.

He smiled when he walked into his bedroom and saw Jo was hosting a slumber party in his bed with his sister and the dogs. "Room in there for me?" He ask as Jo look over at him when he joined them.

"Always," she told him.

Dean shook his head when he saw Bader had taken up residence in his spot and even had her head on his pillow. "Sorry Bud," Dean said as he lifted the sleeping dog and put her at the foot of the bed before he climbed back in and stretched out besides Jo and Colleen.

"So did Camie and Sam break up?" Jo asked quietly.

Dean snorted, "I wish it was something so simple."

"What do you mean?"

The older Winchester shook his head slightly, still in shock at what his brother had told him. Finally he said, "He got her pregnant."

Jo couldn't believe what Dean was telling her. "They have a combined IQ of over 270 and they thought the rhythm method was a valid form of birth control."

Dean shrugged his shoulders, "I don't get it either. Not like he doesn't know where I keep my condoms. I wouldn't care if he lifted some."

Jo studied Dean's face, "you okay?"

"Honestly, I'm pissed," he told her.

"At Sam, why?" She asked in confusion.

Dean sighed as he leaned down and kissed the top of his sister's head when he saw she had begun to fuss slightly. "At the whole situation actually," he said.

"What do you mean?"

"For the past two and half years my folks have stuck their noses in every part of our relationship. Hell six months ago I had to sit at the kitchen table and reassured my Mom that not only was I 'sensitive' when we had sex for the first time but that we use condoms too. They were so busy focusing on us they ignored what Sam was up to."

Jo gave Dean a small nod, "I know."

"Hoops Jo…we had to jump through hoops to be together and I would do it again because I love you but maybe they should have focused a little more on Sam and what he was up to instead of worrying about us so damn much." He said.

Jo reached over and took his hand in hers, "Dean I get where you're coming from but John, Gemma and my Uncle Bobby were treating us like adults because we insisted we were mature enough to handle our relationship and we were…are more mature than others kids our age because of all the pain and trauma we've dealt with. Sam… I love your brother but you said it yourself he needs to grow up. He never had to take on responsibilities like you or I did when he was younger."

"Yeah well he's gonna get a crash course in growing up now isn't he," he murmured before adding with a bittersweet chuckle. "And Mom was worried we would make her a grandma before she was forty."

"Are they keeping it? They made that decision?"

"I don't think they've talked about it yet."

Jo shook her head, "well Camie may want to have an abortion. I don't think she's anymore ready to be a parent than Sammy."

"Maybe you can talk to her," Dean suggested.

"I can't do that. Not unless she comes to me first," Jo said.

"I guess," Dean agreed dejectedly.

Jo sighed, "I need to finish my Christmas shopping tomorrow. I can call Camie in the morning and ask her to go with me."

Dean chewed on his lower lip, "Really?"

"But I'll only talk to her about the baby if she brings it up."

"Right, fair enough." Dean said as he gave her a small smile.

"Maybe you should ask Sam to help you at the garage tomorrow. Get him out of the house." She suggested.

"Probably that would be a good thing. He doesn't exactly have a poker face. Mom will take one look at him and will try to get him to tell her what's wrong and he should probably tell them both at the same time."

Jo nodded her head in agreement before yawning causing Dean to chuckle. "It's late, we should get some sleep."

"Sounds good to me," she murmured as Dean leaned over and gave her a kiss. "I love you," she whispered.

"I love you too," he whispered back before stealing another kiss and then laying back down. Soon everyone in the very crowded bed were fast asleep.

"Glad you could come with me," Jo said to the other girl.

"We haven't had a chance to hang out since Halloween so I'm glad you called to go shopping. So who are you shopping for?"

"I want to pick up a new pair of boots for Dean. Then I need to go to Carter's Toy Store and pick up the play kitchen for Colleen and the Woody and Buzz Lightyear talking action figures for CJ that I ordered on Black Friday. Any special stores you need to hit?"

"Nope, I'm all set." Camie told her.

"Cool," Jo said as she pulled into the parking lot of The Bass Pro Shop to pick out a pair of Chippewas that she knew Dean preferred.

The girls spent the next few hours shopping and when Jo put the last of her packages in the trunk she looked over at Camie. "I don't know about you but I'm starving. Want to grab some burgers for lunch?"

"Yes please," Camie said as her stomach rumbled.

Both girls laughed as the got into Jo's car and drove to the diner a few blocks away. Soon they were sitting in a booth sipping on hot chocolate while waiting for their cheeseburgers and fries.

"I hope Uncle Bobby like the shirts I picked out for him," Jo said as she scooped up some whip cream with her spoon.

"MmmmHmmm," Camie murmured distractedly.

Jo frowned at her friend, "Camie?"

The other girl looked over at her friend, "You know don't you?"

Jo nodded her head, "Sam told Dean last night."

Camie reached up and wiped away her tears, "I can't believe we were so stupid."

"It happens," Jo said softly, deciding not to mention that Dean told her they didn't use actual birth control.

Camie looked at her friend, "I don't know how to tell my parents."

Jo chewed on her lower lip as she asked, "do you know what you want to do?"

Camie shook her head, "no, I just took the test a couple of days ago and told Sam last night." She explained. She snapped her mouth shut when the waitress came over with their food.

The teen waited until the server left before leaning forward and asked, "what would you do?"

Jo shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. Dean and I want very different things than you and Sammy." She told her honestly.

Her and Dean had already talked about having kids and they both agreed that when they started their family they would retire from hunting so both agreed they would wait until Jo was at least thirty. Of course they knew an accidents could happen and agreed to cross that bridge if it happened.

Camie sighed, "I haven't been able to sleep since I took the test. How do I go to college with a baby…how do I even finish high school?"

Jo took a shaky breath as she reached across the table and said honestly, "I don't know."

Camie leaned forward slightly as she licked her suddenly dry lips. "Jo, I've never asked too many questions but I know Dean, his Dad, your Uncle and you know people…special people who get things done. Things that don't have to be reported."

Jo looked around the diner, "we can't talk about this here."

"Okay," Camie quickly nodded her head in understanding as she sat back.

"Why don't we eat and then we can take a drive and talk." Jo said as she gave her a small smile.

"Thank you," the other teen said as she closed her eyes and sat back. For the first time in two days she actually felt like maybe she did have some options. She just hoped Sam would agree to it.

A/N: Yup I needed Dean to be pissed about all the hoops him and Jo had to jump through to prove they were ready to be together meanwhile his father and Gemma basically ignored Sammy to a certain extent and Sam ends up being the one who does exactly what Gemma thought Dean and Jo would do.

I like the idea that Camie might not know about 'hunting' but she's seen enough by being around Sam and his family to know that they know how to operate outside the law and that if she and Sam decide to terminate the pregnancy that it wouldn't necessarily have to ruin both their lives.

Okay I hope people liked this part!
