The Hughes Residence (Tom and Margo's Home)
Sitting at the couch with Alison, Casey alongside his wife look at their child that Alison is holding in their hands. Yes, it was a baby boy named Tom Hughes Jr aka TJ who was born and came into the world thanks to their surrogate in Vanessa. She gave birth to boy a couple of months ago in the blackout of Oakdale and despite the hospital being able to survive, things could of gone downward. But the good thing was that TJ was alive and healthy, not dead at all. As Alison holds her son in her arms, she makes sure she is comfortable while Casey looking on. Margo was cleaning up in the kitchen while Tom was on the phone with Peter Lowell, Tom's friend/colleague at their law firm as the spoke about the adoption. Everything was finalized before the birth happened so for Alison and Casey, they were glad to have the child they always wanted. Bob and Kim also came by to see them before they left Oakdale to go back to Carbondale as they were sitting on the couch with Alison and Casey. They have another great grandchild in their family, so to them this was an exciting gift for them to see. Susan is there too just to see Casey and Alison leave but she couldn't stop looking at her adoring grandson.
Susan - "He's such an angel isn't he?"
Alison - "Yes he is mom, it's just...so hard to believe that he's here in my arms today and seeing all of you"
Bob - "We wouldn't have it any other way Alison"
Kim - "And now you two are going to experience what we've been through"
Casey - "I don't know if that's either good or bad"
Bob - "Mostly good, raising a child has a lot of responsibility in all of it but you two are going to be good parents"
Alison - "Thanks Bob, that means a lot"
Susan - "You guys can do it, it won't be easy but as long as you support TJ and love him throughout the rest of his life, he should be fine"
Tom - "Alright...thanks Peter...I will...bye"
Tom ends the call and walks back to where Alison, Casey, Bob, Kim and Susan all are. So did Margo after she finished cleaning the kitchen, as for someone like her she couldn't believe that the baby they were holding was her grandson.
Tom - "Good news guys, I just spoke with Peter and the adoption is finalized for sure. He made sure to not miss out on anything but also wanted me to say hi to the two of you"
Casey - "Well tell him dad thank you for all he he's done, he's been with us every step of the way to get this done"
Alison - "How's everything with Noah and Luke, their adoption since their child came into the world?"
Tom - "It's already finalized, I forgot what they named him though. Can't think of it at the moment"
Casey - "They named him Dominick dad"
Tom - "Ah, that's the one, well anyway, I won't lie to you both on something. You guys will be okay but we'll miss you"
Margo - "And so will I Casey"
Margo wraps her arms around Tom and leans her head on his shoulder before she smiled, watching TJ. She then looks across the room at everyone before noticing it herself.
Margo - "Can you believe it guys...were all grandparents, all of us"
Kim - "Great-grandparents for me and Bob"
Susan - "Complicated when it comes to me but I wouldn't have it any other way. TJ represents all of us, were so proud of you and Casey sweetheart"
Alison - "Thanks mom...well we better get going. We don't want to miss the traffic"
Alison and Casey get up with Bob, Kim and Susan before Chris grabs the stroller. Alison carefully places TJ in the stroller as the pairing starts to leave the house with everyone following them to the car.
Casey - "Well...this is it guys"
Tom - "Not this is it...more like a see ya later. You bet we'll visit you guys some other time"
Margo - "But we'll always make sure to call and check in"
Alison - "Of course, anyway, see you guys later. We'll call you guys when we get there"
Casey opens the back door for Alison and TJ before they stepped in with Casey closing the door behind them. Putting TJ in his little seat she makes sure he's all buckled up before waving to his parents, grandparents, including Susan too. As Casey walks to the drivers seat, Alison checked TJ one more time to see that he went to sleep but something didn't feel right with him all the sudden. She didn't feel a fever or anything but she couldn't put her finger on it. Alison maybe should of caught this the moment TJ was born but she didn't, what was it though? Casey honking the horn brought Alison out of what she thought before the car started to move. Alison forgot to wave at the others before the nurse did just that with a smile on her face, but she felt something in the pit of her stomach about TJ looking at him more. What was she missing? Was this...not really her adopted child that they saw when Veronica gave birth to their son? It may sound crazy but this right here is Oakdale, where anything is possible. Sitting back in the seat while Casey was driving the car and heading towards Carbondale. Alison had it all figured out as they were going home, TJ wasn't there son...it's someone else.
The Bradford Ranch
In her car Nikki pulls up to the home ranch of Jack Bradford that's outside of Oakdale. Nikki hoped she wasn't making any kind of mistake right now by seeing Jack Brafdford. After they rescued, saving Danni in Germany along with her parents in Steve & Betsy, Nikki and Jack had to go to a local hospital with Danni since the area around them had some kind of lead poison. But they did survived it and came back to Oakdale, but during that time when Nikki was in a hospital bed she thought most of Jack, including what could of happened to him if he died. Nikki could never forgive herself of letting Jack down but most of all to tell the guy how she feels about the cowboy. Ever since he was transferred to the OPD from Texas, Nikki couldn't stop thinking about him, even when she was trying to move on and date other people, but nope it wasn't easy at all. Sometimes there would be closeness between the two of them, such as when they were trying to find Gwen and Will's daughter Hallie. It was like she yearned for his touch for comfort and love but they weren't ready to go there yet. A lot of baggage had to be discussed and talk about before they move forward Nikki parks her car near his home, then she gets out of the car and walking up to knock on the door.
Jack - "Who is it?!"
Nikki - "It's me...Nikki. We need to talk"
The door opens and Jack who was surprised to see Nikki nods, not sure what to make of Nikki being here in the first place. It was his day off and he wasn't planning on doing a lot of things, just sitting back, kicking it as they would say.
Jack - "Hey Nikki, what brings you by?"
Without saying anything Nikki walks past Jack as he closes the door behind her. Nikki with her arms crossed stands behind a table and looks at him in the eyes.
Nikki - "Jack I...I have feelings for you"
Jack - "I'm sorry...say that again?"
Nikki - "You heard me right...I still have feelings for you, even after we broke up, even after you broke my heart...the thought of you never left my mind"
Jack sighed and leaned back before he runs his hands through his hair, taking in what Nikki just told him. How in the world does he react to something to what his ex-lover just said, how would he respond? He didn't expect Nikki to drop this on him like a sack of potatoes himself.
Nikki - "Well? Are you going to stand there and say nothing or do I need to leave since this may be a waste of time?"
Jack looks at Nikki before he walks up to her and kisses her, pulling Nikki in which took her off guard for a second. But she wasn't going to fight it herself so Nikki kissed him back, not pushing him away from her at all. Relishing in this kiss between them, their tongues slipped into each other's mouths battling for control but it felt so good, so fun for to two. But as their kiss ends their foreheads lean to one another and absorbing what just happened.
Nikki - "I can't believe we just did that"
Jack - "Well you know me Nikki, I am not a man of few words. Letting my actions do the talking works better"
Nikki - *Grins* You make a good point there. Be honest with me Jack, do you have any regrets of what just happened between us?"
Jack - "Just now? Actually no Nikki, no regrets coming from me...how about you?"
Nikki - "None, we wasted too much time of the past and what got in our way Jack. This is what I want...you and only you. But the two of us can't lie or at least hold back on any secrets"
Jack - "You're right Nikki, I will at least try to be a better man, a better lover and someone to lean upon and trust the most. Let's take this slow..."
Nikki - "Of course Jack...we'll plan everything else out for the time being later. Right now, I just want you"
Kissing Jack again, she wraps her arms around his neck before Jack returns the favor. The kiss between them was so passionate that it lead to Jack picking Nikki up into his arms before going to his bedroom. Niki didn't care of what he just did at the moment as both of their minds were foggy for the time being. They were only thinking of each other, how much they missed on so many moments when Jack and Nikki were together. At least now the pairing was on the same page as Jack laid Nikki down on the bed before he removed his shirt and threw it down on the floor. Unbuttoning her shirt she threw it on the other side of the room as she was just in a bra, jeans and heels. Jack hovered above Nikki, kissing her on the side of her lips before the man nibbled on her neck, causing her to moan while she runs those hands of hers across his chizzled chest. Nikki unbuttons his jeans and using those legs to pull down on his legs, all the while Jack unhooks her bra to push it to the side. It wasn't until all of their particles of clothing were removed and they were one being as the two made love together. Skin on sweet skin underneath the covers, the sounds of moaning, groaning, their love could never be denied again.
