Chapter 34: William's Devil Deal

Despite all this misgivings about his deal, Aizawa pushed them to the side and called Nezu. Their conversation was extremely brief, and the mammal promised to arrive within thirty minutes.

"So," Aizawa asked as he watched the ro—animatronic, he corrected himself, Cipher lay out more tea and some cakes. "Where did you get "Cipher", did you call him?"

"Yes, his name is Cipher," Hitoshi said as he affectionately patted the little bunny on his head. "And Zuku built him."

Aizawa blinked in complete astonishment as he looked at the little yellow and sea green bunny. Midoriya—his first year student—built him?!

"It's true," William said as he saw the bewilderment on the underground hero's face. "I taught him how, and supervised his progress."

William's voice was warm and full of pride.

"Izu's really smart," the animatronic chirped happily as he handed the pro's their tea. "Toshi's smart too! They let me help them in their lab!"

"You boys have a lab," Aizawa asked in incredulity; a migraine starting to form again.

For some reason he felt that his problem children were even more problematic than the problem children he had in the past. And, now there were four of them! He mentally noted to buy more ibuprofen in the future.

Seriously, what else were his problem children hiding?!

"Well, it's not really a lab," Hitoshi said embarrassed as he ran a hand through his long, purple locks.

"It's really more of an unused office that we're borrowing from Inko," William said. "We're working on raising money so we can buy an actual space to make a lab."

Aizawa groaned as he ran a hand down his face.

They really were problem children.

William just smirked at the man's discomfort.

"Did you know any of this," the underground hero hissed at his blonde colleague.

Allmight looked embarrassed as he said, "William's really responsible with them. And, the boys actually know what their doing! I wouldn't be surprised if they had their robotic and mechanical engineering degrees before they finished school!"

"Don't forget their chemistry degrees, Allmight," William said with a smug grin; proud of his brats' progress."

Aizawa sputtered in shock.

"How," the man finally asked.

"Well, Izuku is a genius," Hitoshi said simply.

"And, Hitoshi has an above average IQ as well," William said as he ruffled the teen's hair.

"Will," the violet haired boy protested as he flushed in embarrassment. "Not in front of my senseis!"

William just snorted and patted the teen's head.

Allmight chuckled at their easy affection, and Aizawa hid his grin in his scarf.

"Maybe he's not so bad," the raven haired pro thought. "I hope his hostility was just him being protective. I'd do the same for my students..."

"Any more surprises," Aizawa asked as the two settled down.

"Hmm," William hummed in thought. "There's a few I'm waiting for Nezu for... Besides that, I guess you just need to know that I've been training them with the help from Spring."

"Oh," Aizawa asked curiously.

"Yeah," Hitoshi said. "They're both really strong, and William's probably as smart as Nezu!"

The underground hero looked to Allmight for confirmation, and the blonde nodded.

Now, Aizawa dreaded him meeting Nezu even more.

Before he could comment, a knock was heard at the door.

"That's probably Nezu," Allmight said, a faint shiver traveling down his spine.

"Cipher," William asked softly. "Can you please go greet our new guest?"

"Yes, sir, Willy," the yellow bunny said cheerfully as he bounced to the door.

"Oh, what a marvelous creature," a squeaky voice exclaimed. "And who might you be?"

"I'm Cipher," the bunny said sunnily. "I'm an animatronic!"

"Why hello, Cipher," Nezu said politely. "Are Midoriya-kun and Shinsou-kun in?"

"Yes, Nezu, sir," the little bunny answered the chimera. "Willy, Toshi, and the other guests are waiting for you in the sitting room! I made tea!"

"Oh, I love tea," the mammal said as he followed the animatronic to the sitting room. "But, may I ask, who is "Willy"?"

"I can answer that," William said in his lazy drawl from where he was sprawled out on the couch, his arms and legs crossed.

Nezu's eyes darkened as he took in the teen who was supposed to be Midoriya Izuku. However, the principal could see that this 'teen's' eyes were older and darker than what they should be. His poster was too closed off, and his jaw was too tense. Even the tone of his voice was carefully designed to be perfectly aloof.

This man was dangerous.

"Oh," UA's principal asked lightly, playing along. "How do you known him Midoriya-kun?"

"Cut the crap," William demanded, and Nezu and Aizawa twitched at the disrespect. "We both know I'm not the brat."

"Then are you this "Willy"," Nezu asked, now on guard.

"William," William said with a sharp smirk. "And, to catch you up, the brat has three "people" living in his head. We're all connected and a part of each other. We're so integrally connected that when Aizawa used his quirk, it caused the brat pain."

Nezu's eyes widened, and he said, "Spit personalities? And such deeply connected ones. It's been awhile since I've come across that..."

William hummed and leaned his head back against the couch.

"So, are you intertwined with his quirk," Nezu asked as he jumped up onto Aizawa's left and took a tea cup.

"Spring is," William said. "I probably could, but it's not something I'd be completely comfortable with. I'm an inventor, the strategist, and the one that evidently ends us delegating."

William snorted at this.

"Oh," Nezu asked, curiously. "Do you have a problem with that?"
"I'm not really a 'people person'," William said with a sardonic grin.

"I couldn't tell," Aizawa said sarcastically, and William chuckled.

"Anyways, we didn't call you here to talk about my nonexistent people skills," William said. "You and Aizawa have more questions. Plus, I want my deal fulfilled."

"Yes," Nezu said, serious. "I know DID doesn't just come about. Can you please tell us what happened."

William's eyes went dark and flashed a silvery blue in anger as he thought of Izuku's memories.

"Aizawa, do you remember when you met Izu at the hospital," the raven and purple haired man asked.

"Yes," the underground hero said carefully.

"Do you remember what he told you," William asked.

Aizawa's eyes widened and he said. "You're the William he mistook me for!"

William chuckled and he nodded.

"Yes," he confirmed. "But, that's not what I was referring to."

Aizawa hid his embarrassment and said, "Is because he thought he was quirkless?"

"No," William said. "It's because he was quirkless."

"Are you saying his quirk manifested because of this incident," Nezu asked intrigued.

"Yes," the blue eyed man said simply. "It actually awakened Spring and gave him the ability to transform."

"He can transform into other things," Aizawa asked surprised.

"Only into Spring and my likeness," William said. "Though, he could also adopt some of our features if he so desired."

Nezu looked thoughtful.

"Can you show us," he asked, and William let the transformation wash over him.

The now raven haired man rolled his shoulders. It felt good to be back in his body.

"Fasinating," the mammal said as he studied William.

"Your also partially blind," Aizawa stated in surprise.

"Yeah," William said. "But, Spring's got 20/20 vision."

"How old was Midoriya when he developed his quirk," Nezu asked.

"Fourteen," William said. "Life was hell for him before he got it."

Nezu's eyes and body language radiated his sadness. The suicide rates for the quirkless were extremely high. He was glad that even despite the split personalities, Izuku was as stable as he was.

"I hate to ask this," Nezu said. "But, just how bad?"

"He was relentlessly bullied by his peers," William said. "His partial blindness was a result of it, as well as many scars. The teachers either ignored it or encouraged it. His mother didn't even notice...though the brat actively tried to hide it from her."'

All three of the pros clinched their fists or their jaws in their anger.

"I'm guessing you want to take revenge on the school," Nezu asked, his eyes twinkling in a dark, sadistic mischief.

William smirked back darkly.

"I can allow that," Nezu said as he gave an evil chuckle.

William's smirk widened and his eyes blazed with cold fire.

Aizawa and Allmight shivered. They almost pitied the poor fools.

Almost.

"I have another question," Aizawa said, and William nodded. "Was it you or Spring that created that dark aura today?"

"Me," William said.

Aizawa raised his eyebrow, but nodded. At least he knew his students weren't in danger.

"How often do you switch control," Nezu asked.

"At least once per day," William said. "The brat's usually in control during school though."

Aizawa and Nezu nodded. That was good to know.

"Is there anything we need to know," Nezu asked.

"The brat and I have severe insomnia," William said as he tapped a familiar beat. "So, our body is usually up for long hours for different periods of time. We drink a lot of coffee and have to eat a special energy bar. Hitoshi also has insomnia and will either be up with me or the brat. Though, he does get at least enough sleep that he won't be in danger. We let him eat an energy bar if he gets too tired though."

Nezu nodded, and Aizawa wrote this down. He needed to make a note in his problem children's medical file.

"Anything else," Aizawa asked.

"We don't know how getting injured in a transformation will effect the brat yet," the purple haired man said thoughfully. "Toshi knows how to fix animatronics in case it comes down to that. Make sure he's there before trying to heal him if he's in either his animatronic form or Spring."

Aizawa nodded as he wrote that down and Nezu looked both intrigued and concerned.

"His mother knows of his situation," Nezu asked.

"Yes," William said.

"I'm guessing you want this to stay quiet," the principal asked.

"Yes," William growled.

"Alright," Nezu said with a calm sip of his tea. "Now, we just have one more issue."

William's guard shot all the way up at the mammal's deceptively light tone.

"And, what issue is that," William growled.

"Shinsou-kun, why have you moved in with Izuku and his family," Nezu asked the violet haired teen gently. "I've noticed that Midoriya-san doesn't have all your paper work, even if she has gotten some of it."

Hitoshi shook in dismay.

No! They were going to make him go back! He didn't want to go back!

"Why are you asking," William growled, eyes dark and narrowed as he pulled Hitoshi into a half hug—the teen visibly shaking.

The raven haired man was tense, and looked like he'd spring into action at any moment.

"Whoa," Allmight said. "Calm down, William! Nezu won't take Young Shinsou away! Right?"

Aizawa was on guard, ready to restrain the angered man while Nezu stayed calm—though you could tell that he was extremely cautious if you looked hard enough.

"That's right," the mammal said, and William relaxed slightly—and Hitoshi leaned into the man in relief, but the pros could tell that William was still ready to attack if they made the wrong move. "I'm only asking. If it's serious, I want to make sure Midoriya-san has the legal right to Shinsou-kun in the next twenty four hours. Plus, don't you want her to be his medical contact?"

This time William fully relaxed.

"Brat, it's your choice," the blue eyed man said gently, squeezing the teen tightly.

Hitoshi closed his eyes, took a steadying breath, and leaned heavily on the constant support that was William.

"They were awful," the violet haired teen muttered. "They hated me because of my quirk. They didn't allow me to speak and sometimes they'd gag me or force me to wear a muzzle. They hardly fed me as well."

Everyone in the room was furious, and William let out a dark growl as he held his brat tightly.

"Nezu," William said. "He's staying here and I'm taking those wastes of spaces down."

Nezu was forced to agree.
