Chapter 35: A Legendary Rampage! Majin Broly Appears!
Babidi couldn't contain his glee as Broly's power exceeded all of his expectations, "This one, he's amazing!" The shriek of the wizard's cackle rang through the battlefield as if it were carried by the wind.
"Wha...what is this wickedness?!" Kibito was barely standing after being thrown around like a ragdoll from the eruption of Broly's energy.
"This..this is Broly..he has wicked power...He and Trunks trained to control it, but something has drawn it out.." Krillin explained as he stood up and wiped the dirt off his gi.."We may not even have to worry about Majin Buu..Broly could kill us all."
Gohan was thrown off by Broly's sudden eruption, but he quickly reacted by instantly powering up to his Super Saiyan 2 form, "What the hell was that, Broly?!"
Broly had a devilish grin on his face as he turned to Gohan and laughed wickedly, "I'm baaack.." As if he were shot out of a cannon, Broly exploded towards the Half-Saiyan and drove a devastating fist into Gohan's gut. The massive blow sent the Super Saiyan hurtling through a nearby rock formation. "IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I LASHED OUT!" Broly cackled and continued his assault on his Half-Saiyan foe.
Piccolo had a look of dread on his face as he saw Broly send Gohan flying like a paper airplane, "What..what is going on?!"
Dabura had a slight smirk on his face, "Your friend now serves Master Babidi." The Demon King stood with his arms crossed, observing the rampage of the now Majin Legendary Super Saiyan, "Though I don't think even Master Babidi knew what kind of power that one had hidden beneath.."
Piccolo was dumbfounded by the turn of events, "I gotta help Gohan.." the Namekian mumbled to himself as he prepared to blast towards where his Half-Saiyan pupil lay motionless.
"Oh ho ho, not so fast.." Dabura quickly cut off Piccolo's path, floating right in front of the Namekian Warrior, "You still have me to deal with."
"Damn it.." Piccolo grunted and quickly began assaulting Dabura with a flurry of quick blows.
Gohan had barely opened his eyes as Broly had reached him once more, delivering another crushing punch that drove Gohan through the boulder his body had made a crater in. The Half-Saiyan screamed in pain as he crashed into the ground with overwhelming impact.
"GOHAN!" Krillin screamed and ignited the familiar red aura of his full power, "KAIOKEN TIMES TEN" The bald monk rushed towards Gohan's body, but twisted his upper body towards the incoming monstrous Super Saiyan.
"Oh baldy, you DON'T STAND A CH-" Just as Broly was about to swat Krillin away like a bug, the diminutive human put his hands on either side of his face and a blinding light soon made it impossible for the Legendary Super Saiyan to see.
"SOLAR FLARE" Krillin quickly landed and grabbed the weakened Gohan, rushing him away from his temporarily blinded adversary.
"DAMN YOU!" Broly's aura exploded further as his anger rose, "YOU BUG, I'LL SQUASH YOU!"
"Oh ho ho, focus big guy. That runt has no use to me, you've beaten the other one, time to focus your attention to the green guy. I need more energy!" Babidi had begun barking orders to the Legendary Super Saiyan telepathically, trying to direct his newly Majinized monster.
Broly quickly turned his head towards where Babidi floated behind his protective shield, glaring at the Wizard with evil intent, "Oh no...that's not how this works little bug man.." Broly's glare turned into one of the most evil smirks that even someone as wicked as Babidi had ever witnessed, "I DO WHAT I WANT TO!" The Large Saiyan laughed as he blasted towards the floating wizard.
"MASTER BABIDI" Dabura quickly left his fight with Piccolo and hurled himself between Babidi and Broly's path of destruction. The Namekian followed him, not wanting the statues of Tien and the Supreme Kai to become unwilling victims of Broly's rampage.
In the meantime, Krillin had set Gohan down beside where he and Kibito had been thrown, "Here Gohan.." The bald monk pulled a small bag Senzu out of his waistband, taking a single bean into his palm and dropping it into the Half-Saiyan's mouth, "Eat this."
Gohan chewed the bean gently and instantly recovered all his strength, "Man..he whooped me good.." Gohan stood up slowly, "I hadn't recovered from fighting Baby, at least now I have a fighting chance." The Half-Saiyan's golden aura exploded as he went Super Saiyan 2 and prepared to jump back into the fray.
"Baby..what?" The bald monk was confused, but Gohan paid him no mind as he blasted after Broly.
Babidi watched in pure horror as the mad Saiyan hurtled towards him, the wizard shrieked and screamed, "NO NO NO, I'M YOUR MASTER, LISTEN TO MEEE!" With both of his hands up, Babidi closed his eyes and Broly came closer, "NOOO!"
Broly cackled uncontrollably, he was ready to slaughter this poor excuse of a magic user who dared to tell him what to do. Just as he was about to crash into Babidi's shield, the Saiyan was pushed off his path by an incredible amount of combined force. Piccolo and Dabura had both collided head first with Broly just before he reached Babidi's bubble, pushing the Majinized Legendary Super Saiyan away from his intended target.
"Bahahaha. You little worms!" Majin Broly regained his composure rather quickly, exploding his sickly green aura to even greater heights, "You're WEAK. It's time to squash you!"
"What..what is this monster who you brought with you?!" For the first time in his existence, Dabura seemed to experience real fear. It was clearly all over his face, the dread of realizing he was completely outclassed by someone of Broly's true magnitude.
"Huh..and here I thought you guys would be the real threat today." Piccolo scoffed, "I guess we gotta put Broly down for good this time."
Off to the side of the battle, Kibito had turned to Krillin, "This is Babidi's doing, perhaps if we stop him, this Broly friend of yours will go back to normal.."
"Maybe..or maybe this has been the real Broly all along." Krillin hadn't looked this worried all day, even while fighting for his own life against Pui Pui, "I can't believe that though, he's been fighting with us for this long..he's been our friend."
"Then we should help your friend." Kibito affirmed, turning back towards the battle, "Before he kills us all."
In the meantime Gohan had landed beside Piccolo and Dabura, facing off against the extreme might of Broly, the three fighters could feel the extreme weight of Broly's power as if it were pushing down upon them. Super Saiyan, Super Namekian, and the Demon King each ignited their aura, which combined with Broly's massive aura blinded the entire landscape.
Broly let a wicked smirk go across his face, "TIME TO DIE, BUGS!" He burst off the ground, leaving a small crater in his wake as he hurled himself towards Piccolo first, narrowly missing with a thunderous blow as the Namekian just barely ducked under in time. Gohan took the opportunity to land a strike right into Broly's face, but the blow just caused the Majinized Saiyan to smile as he swatted Gohan away like a mosquito, sending the ascended Super Saiyan bouncing across the ground. Dabura had been nearly petrified at the display, but the Demon King took a swing of his own at Broly that was easily brushed off. The Legendary Super Saiyan landed a blow to the gut of the Demon King that left a shockwave that shot through the battlefield, sending Dabua in the opposite direction of Gohan.
Piccolo had taken the opportunity bent over to charge a signature attack, throwing both his hands in the air, "EXPLOSIVE WAVE!" A bright yellow light exploded outward from the Namekian, destroying the ground around Broly and himself, but when the light cleared there was not a scratch on the Majinized Saiyan.
"Heh, poor bug." Broly laughed at the surprised face of Piccolo as the two floated above the newly created crater under them, the smile never leaving the green haired Saiyans face as he drove his head into the dome of his Namekian foe. Piccolo's body had already gone limp before he had even hit the ground.
"DABURA!" Babidi's voice echoed in the Demon King's head telepathically as he lifted himself off the ground. "What are you doing?! Why are you still fighting him? Let those other fools fight him. We're so close to releasing Buu! This monster is collecting so much energy for his revival!"
Dabura's voice was hoarse as he coughed, the dust impairing his breathing, "Master..with all due respect, you can't control this beast...he's more dangerous than Buu!"
"Dabura, you will leave him alone and focus on only protecting me! That is an ORDER!"
"I am protecting you, Master." Dabura moved closer to the crater that Piccolo had created, Broly had floated to the bottom and stood above the Namekian who was now barely clinging to life.
"Still breathing huh? Let me fix that." The Majinized Legendary Super Saiyan extended his arm, pointing an open hand towards Piccolo, gathering energy that buzzed as it formed a green ball. Broly was cackling as the ball grew bigger and bigger, ready to unleash death upon his enemy, but just as the ball seemed to be reaching its apex, the cackling stopped. The ball dissipated as Broly looked horrified at his shoulder that had turned stone grey. "What the hell is this?!"
Dabura stood over the crater, a smirk on his battered face, he had hit his target. The Demon King laughed as the stone grey creeped across Broly's sizable frame and the more the Saiyan struggled, the faster the stone seemed to expand. The echoes of the Legendary Super Saiyan's last screams waned as his entire body turned to stone.
