Chapter Thirty Six:

The end of the school year feast. A tradition of Hogwarts where the winner of the school cup is announced and the teachers and students say goodbye until the start of the next school year in fall.

Everyone could tell that the feast would be different this year compared to previous years. Little did they know just how different it would be, and it wasn't just the presence of someone who had simply decided to stick around.

Just as the feast was about to begin, Blake Ouroburos, who was sitting next to her mate, Luna Lovegood with their adoptive daughter, Karna, sitting in between the two Supernatural girls, suddenly perked up. Turning her head towards a seemingly random spot in the Great Hall with a rather uncharacteristic expression of awe on her face. Sending their mate/mom questioning looks before turning towards each other with equally confused expressions, Luna and Karna were about to simply shrug to convey the message that neither one of them knew what Blake was apparently in awe about as something absolutely massive could suddenly be heard scraping against the outside of the castle. And according to the ghosts that just as suddenly appeared, the scraping could be heard all over the castle, meaning that whatever was causing the sound must've been extremely long.

As the Great Hall turned silent by the underlying tension, the teachers and the students closest to the teachers table could almost swear that they heard something from the outside of the castle, along with the sounds of something scraping against the castle. The distinctive hissing of a serpent. And judging by how well they could hear the hissing, the serpent must be huge.

"Blake."

"Yes Luna?"

"You know something about that hissing, don't you?"

"Yes."

"Care to share?"

"Sure. One of the most powerful beings in existence has decided to treat us with their presence."

"Who?"

"My mom."

"Grandma?" Asked a surprised Karna as a massive looming shadow appeared behind the largest window behind the teachers table. The hissing becoming louder as whatever was casting the shadow got closer to the window.

"Indeed Karna. Grandma is here. Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God." Stated Blake in an unintentionally dramatic tone.

Whether or not the timing was intentional or not, but just after Blake's announcement, the largest window behind the teachers table exploded inwards, causing most people to throw up their arms to cover their faces, with only a few exceptions, who simply put up a barrier. The glass of the window somehow being reduced to a fine sand-like powder. As people lowered their arms from their faces, they finally saw the cause behind the exploding window.

Looming just outside the space in the wall previously occupied by a window was the horned head of a massive clearly serpentine creature. It's forked tongue slipping in and out of its mouth in a rhythmic manner (A/N: for clarification, it's the head of Dalamadur). After seemingly scanning the entirety of the Great Hall for something, it's slitted eyes landed on a small group of particular individuals, and they weren't the headmaster or the (so-called) Boy-Who-Lived. No. These individuals were Blake Ouroburos, Luna Lovegood and the young girl sitting in between them, Karna. Taking a few licks of the air while looking at the three girls, a blinding pale purple light suddenly enveloped the giant serpentine creature.

Once the light faded, the massive creature was gone and something else was there in its place. A woman who looked similar to Blake's, but with truly pitch black hair instead of just very dark purple slowly floating down to the floor. The woman had a very buxom figure. Her outfit could easily be described as a version of Alice's dress from the classic fairytale Alice in Wonderland… if the tale had been retold as a much darker version, bordering on a horror version. Certain elements of the original look having been removed, or modified. Much like the girl the woman shared similarities with, she had very long hair, but unlike the technically purple haired girl, who's hair only reached her shoulders at its longest, the woman's hair reached all the way down to her hips at its longest. The only things that could be seen as physically abnormal regarding the woman was the fact that her ears weren't round but pointed (like Blake's, though only Luna and Karna knew that) and the unusually long and sharp (almost claw-like) finger- and toenails (which were visible due to the fact that she was barefoot). Another similarity between the woman and Blake (if one paid close enough attention and could tell) was the expression on her face. While Blake's default expression was usually considered a deadpan, the woman's expression appeared to be an expression of disinterest. Speaking of disinterest, the woman absentmindedly noticed that one of her heels were standing in some finely powdered glass and just as absentmindedly brushed it off her heel before sending the headmaster of the castle a look of disinterest over her shoulder.

"What are you looking at? Don't stop whatever you were doing on my account, Dumb-as-a-door." Said the woman absentmindedly as she moved closer to Blake, Luna and Karna. Only a few people noticed that the woman's lips were twitching upwards. "Hello Blake."

"Hi mom. That's a new look."

"Indeed. I saw a Devil with a similar look. I liked it, so I basically copied it."

"How did you do that though?"

"Do what?"

"Never mind."

"Uhm, Blake?"

"Yes Luna?"

"Those clothes appear to be conjured."

"You mean that they're made out of magic? Huh. Suddenly a lot of things make a lot more sense."

"Care to explain what suddenly makes sense and who these girls are Blake?"

"Later mom."

"Okay then."
