"Can I pleaaaase have an assignment?" Aisha said as she kept bothering Keeper One. It was kinda an open secret in the Ascendancy that he used to be L33T, and technically she was assigned to Nightswan's ASB, but it was soooo much fun to bother him.

It had taken a short while, but Aisha managed to join up with the Ascendancy just to spite Brian. It seemed fun, shooting Nazi's, wannabe samurais, and crackheads. Sadly, she didn't get to see Thrawn all that often, unless she had a super secret mission for her.

L33T looked uncomfortable as she got all up in his personal space.

"Look Jailbait. This is the damn PR division, not ASB. I don't care what you do as long as you don't bother Tequila." He pointed at the weirdly dressed Mexican playing some Earth Aleph game in the corner.

"Sup." Aisha waved a bit awkwardly. Tequila simply nodded his head and went back to his game.

She poked L33T's helmet.

A few of his underlings looked uncomfortable just with her presence. The ASB did root out traitors, aside from their intelligence operations. Just last week they managed to weed out some of Coil's and Kaiser's guys. Aisha even managed to catch a PRT mole. Damn traitors.

"But Swannie hasn't given me any jobs to doooooo." She sat on his desk. Aisha's job was also to monitor their junior branch at Winslow. Not that any of those grunts knew who she was. "I wanna pound down some doors and scream NO EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION." Aisha waved her arms widely.

L33T and a few others laughed at that.

"Fine fine." L33T looked around and quickly waved her over. Aisha grinned as she leaned on his shoulder. "I got a mission for you."

"Yaaaay. What is it?"

"It's very top secret." L33T whispered, the chimera on his mask staring straight at her.

"Tell me."

"I'm sure someone with your skills can handle it."

"Just tell me already!" Aisha pouted as she kept poking his shoulder.

L33T looked around dramatically and pulled her ear close.

"LET ME WORK IN DAMN PEACE JAILBAIT"

Aisha was soooo going to get him back for this.

"If you're going to shoot me you would have done it by now." I said simply as I continued my work. Running an organization took a lot of paperwork after all.

A woman dressed in a fedora appeared from behind my collection of memorabilia. I didn't bother to look at her and kept my focus on my work to look at her.

"How do you know it's not part of my plan?" Fedora woman asked as she pulled a pistol out of her pocket and aimed it at me.

I paused my work and twirled around in my chair to face her. Confident in herself. Her temperature is normal. Is wearing clothes that allow her to blend in. Most likely a thinker assisted by a mover.

"I dismissed the guards outside of my office fifttheen. The security droid in my training room is also deactivated. If you were trying to kill me, you would have done it a while ago." I said simply. She lowered the pistol slightly but remained on guard.

"What do you know?" Hmm, a test.

I smiled lazily, leaned back in my chair and stared at Fedora Lady. She didn't seem unnerved by my appearance.

"Despite parahumans supposedly being rare, Brockton Bay has one of the highest parahuman populations. It's a dying city, yet the Protectorate still has a presence here. The gang's I can understand, they are simply parasites leaching off of those weaker than them." I started, my accented voice calm and collected. "The presence of Faultline and her crew was a bit different. A mercenary company, yet why choose Brockton Bay as their base of operations?"

The Fedora lady raised her pistol again, but I kept going.

"That's not even talking about the various vigilantes around the city."

My red eyes met her own eyes.

"You're building an army."

The Fedora lady began to chuckle.

"You're too smart for your own good. What do you want?"

I placed a hand to my chin, in a mock thinking position.

"Funds, weapons, a seat at the table." I said simply. She never lowered her gun, but smirked instead.

"Hmmm, these can be arranged." Her eyes narrow. "However, I can not allow you to interfere with the PRT and Protectorate."

Hmmm, did their organization include many members of the Protectorate? Interesting.

"The Protectorate is slowly dying and you know it. They scare as many potential assets as they do recruit them. The ones that reject their offer, end up dead usually. Dead parahumans means less for your army."

The Fedora Lady seemed to think about what I said before nodding. "You'll have your chance I suppose."

I smile and stand up slowly. The Fedora Lady kept her gun aimed at me as I took several calculated steps towards her. Her gun now pressing directly against me.

I looked down at her.

"Thinker to thinker. You know what you need to do for my plan to succeed." I am the world's greatest military leader after all. The world will soon know that.

She stared into my steely eyes and nodded. If she said yes, I will have struck another nail in the PRT presence in Brockton Bay. Maybe even this side of the country.

"You have a deal Thrawn."

BANG!

Not even a few seconds later the door to my office burst open.

"TAYLOR-"

I smirked as the cold darkness overtook me.

A/N

Bam a real chapter. With this, this arc has ended and onto the next one. Updates for this will be short as I focus on Smoker the White Hunter so feel free to check that out.

I never expected this story to do as well as it did. When I first started writing stories, I was complete trash. Now I'm just bad at writing them. I enjoy improving my skills. I started reading back on previous chapters, and saw various ways I could improve and what I should have done to make the story more enjoyable. Maybe sometime in the future Ill do a rewrite once Im a better writer. For now Ill be writing on Smoker the White Hunter with a few Chimera chapters.

Thank you to my readers.
