It was towards the end of March. The two week spring break started next week. When they got home from school, Hayden, Hawk, Sam and Miguel were all informed that their letters from Stanford University had come. They all decided to meet up at Hayden's house to open their letters. They were all in the kitchen with Hayden's parents. They all opened their letters at the same time.
"I got in!" Hayden said excited.
"So did I." Hawk said.
"Me to." Sam said smiling.
"That makes four of us." Miguel said.
"This is great, we're all going to college together." Hayden said.
"Congratulations." Sally said.
"We're proud of all of you." Cole said.
"We need to go out and celebrate." Hawk said. "It's on me."
They all left.
Sally turned to Cole.
"Well we have a daughter who just into college and another one who's just about here." Sally said.
"I can't wait to do it all over again."
"Me either." They kissed.
Spring break started tomorrow. Hayden and her family were eating dinner.
"Hayden do you want to take a trip with me tomorrow?" Cole asked.
"To where?"
"I can't tell you."
"Why?"
"It's a surprise."
"A surprise?" She said intrigued.
"Yeah."
"Can Hawk come?"
"No."
"Ok, I'll go."
"Good." "We're leaving at eight in the morning."
"What so early?"
"It's kind of a long drive."
As Hayden and Cole got close to where they were going, she saw a sign for Stanford University.
"Are we going to Stanford?" She asked from the passenger seat.
"No." They drove for five more minutes, pulling into the driveway of a huge one floor condo.
"Where are we?" She asked confused.
"I'll get your chair." He got the chair out of the trunk. They went inside. It had a huge living room, all hardwood floors. Every room was huge. It was fully furnished. "What do you think of this place Hayden?"
"I love it but it doesn't have the modifications I need."
"Would you like to live here while you're going to Stanford?"
"Really?" She said smiling.
"Yep." "Mom and I will have everything modified for you."
"Yeah I'd love to live here."
"Alright, I'll call the real estate agent."
"You're buying this place for me?"
"Only for the next four years, then we're selling it." "As long as you understand one thing." "Hawk is not living here."
"I know that."
Two nights later Hayden and Hawk had just gone through the drive thru. They were parked and eating.
"Honey, I want to ask you something." Hayden said. "You know my parents are buying that condo for me to live in." "You can say no if you want, if you say yes, we can't let our parents find out." "Especially since I was specifically told it's not allowed." "Do you want to move in with me when I move there?"
"Absolutely."
"Are you sure?"
"Definitely."
After they ate Hayden and Hawk went back to her house. They noticed her dad's car was gone. They went inside and found a note on the fridge saying Sally and Cole had gone out to dinner.
"So we're all alone." Hawk said.
"Wanna go upstairs?"
"Yes."
They were upstairs on her bed. Their shirts were off and on the floor. He was kissing her down her body.
"Oh Eli." She moaned. As he started to take off her jeans her cell phone started to ring. It was her dad's ringtone. She let it ring but he called right back. "I have to get it." "Something might be wrong." She picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Your mom and I are at the hospital." "Her water broke at the restaurant." "She's having the baby."
"I'll be right there." They hung up. She looked at Hawk. "My mom's having the baby, we have to go."
They got to the hospital as fast as they could. By the time they got there Sally had already had the baby. Sally was holding her.
"Come meet your sister, Abigail." Hayden went over to them. Sally handed her to her. The baby was bald but had blue eyes.
"Hi aren't you cute." "I'm your big sister." "Wanna hold her Hawk?"
"Yeah." He said. He took her. "Hi Abigail." "You're so pretty."
