Doody's POV
The next day after school, the guys and I were at the Auto-shop fixing up Greased Lightnin', which we are ALMOST done! Our dream car baby! We looked over to see Danny and Putzie talking. "I feel so bad for Zuko." Sonny mumbles.
"Me too Sonny-Boy." Kenickie said. "Did he talked to Sandy at all?"
"Have you talked to Sandy yet?" I asked he looked up to see the us looking at him and he shook his head no.
Our heart broke for our big brother. Look, yes we're greasers and the T-Birds but that doesn't mean we have to be jerks to each other!
"Danny, man I am so sorry." Kenickie apologized.
"It's not your fault." He told him.
"Danny…" Sonny started. "We thought things were getting a lot better." He just focus on the car. "You had me promise to find a right girl…a nice girl." Sonny added as he stopped and let out a sigh as He looked back up.
"Guys I failed." He admit.
"What?" Putzie asked. "Danny, you could never fail us." I nodded in agreements.
"You guys looked up to me." He told us. "And I lied to ya…I'm supposed to be the big brother here."
"Danny, no matter what happened we'll always look up to you." Kenickie said.
"And we'll always love you like a big brother." Putzie added.
He just sad smiled at us.
"Alright, enough with this warm junk." He said trying to be cool, making us laugh.
He gave us a wink.
"Ok fellas, let's test her out eh!?" Kenickie says as he got in and Mrs. Murdoch got in the back.
"Yay!" Putzie cheered making us chuckled.
"This is why I love ya, buddy." Kenickie winked.
So I sat on the mechanics Board rolling backward with Danny behind me as I waved my arms singling Kenickie to move the car forward with Ms. Murdock sitting on the car, Putzie and Sonny were behind the car.
"Head it out guys!" Danny yelled out turning to stop me with his foot. "Move it out!" He yelled.
"Move it out!" Sonny yelled.
"Move it out!" I yelled as I stood up while Kenickie stops the car and we crowed the car and admiring it.
"Well, it's in great shape." Ms. Murdock commented. "It's as hot as the parts on it." She smiled.
"It wasn't stolen, some was donated." Sonny said.
I still feel awful for stealing it from Aunt Peyton, I surely hope Putzie hasn't told his folks! Oh please Lord I hope not!
"This will knock them on their ears." Kenickie said bumping Danny's belly.
I looked at Danny as we laugh a little.
"Yeah," Doody smiled but frowned looking at Kenickie. "But you could still change your mind." I gave him a small nod.
I just don't want to lose my best friend, sue me!
"The flags go down in 3 hours." Ms. Murdock said.
"Hey Ms. Murdock, are you coming?" Putzie asked, giving her his best puppy dog eyes as she smiled, people always falls for his puppy dog eyes!
"Aw I don't expect my boys to let me down and I won't let them down." She said getting off the car.
"Alright Ms. Murdock!" Sonny cheered as he pats her back.
"Yes!" I cheered walking over to her and Kenickie got out of the car. "You can count on The T-Birds!" She gently touched my cheek, she ALWAYS treat us like we were her sons. I walked over to Putzie. "Oh Putzie, tell your mom that I'm sorry about her car." I said to him.
"Mmmh." I heard him say looking at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing." He replied.
"Oh come on man!" I shouted as he smirked at me and then we saw Kenickie and Danny hugged and let go, then Danny walked off while combing his back and I heard Kenickie yelling.
"Hey, what are ya standing around for? Get the can! Get the can!" Kenickie yelled as me and Sonny wiped the dust off of Greased Lightnin.
I was admiring the car until I heard Putzie says, "Uh no thanks Kenick, Doody said he'll take me, besides he gonna say sorry for stealing the parts from my mother." He told him.
"What?" I yelled looking at them.
They looked at me with smirks.
"But I'm a good boy!" I protested.
They both chuckled at me.
"Real men confess Howdy Doody!" Kenickie tells me.
I rolled my eyes.
"I know." I mumbles walking off disappointed.
