Ch 37

Raven's heart was racing out of anticipation as she looked into the mirror. She sat before her reflection as well as the reflection of her bridesmaids getting ready for the big day, her wedding day. It was finally here, and she couldn't stop smiling. "It will get stuck that way you know," said Jinx as she smirked at her. "So, how's our little bet going, huh?"

"Raven, what's she talking about?" asked Karen as she stood on the other side of her.

Raven blushed. "Uh, um well—

"I bet that she couldn't wait to have sex with Gar until the honeymoon," said Jinx.

"So, how long has it been?" asked Karen.

Raven sighed. "6 months."

"Oh, friend Raven! How could make such a deal with Jinx?" asked Kory as she floated over to the group.

"She was being smug and confident about it. I couldn't help but want to prove her wrong, and I did."

"Well," Jinx laughed, "it looks like it was hard on you."

"Shut up," said Raven.

"How can you even tell?" asked Karen. "She looks fine."

"She's been antsy all day, and she's been smiling so much," said Jinx. "She can't wait to jump his bones on their honeymoon."

"You're really pushing it, Jinx," said Raven.

"That is enough of the bickering," said Kory. "It is time to help Raven into her wedding dress!" she exclaimed excitedly.

Raven stared into the mirror and couldn't believe what she was seeing, her white, strapless, sweetheart neckline accentuated her bust while the corset showed off her figure in a flattering way. What she couldn't believe was choosing a ball gown dress. She didn't see herself as a princess because it was just unrealistic, but it made her feel beautiful.

"You look amazing Raven," said Karen.

"Yep, you'll really catch Gar's attention in this dress," said Jinx.

"Jinx is right. You are simply stunning friend Raven," said Kory, "even without a vail."

A knock came to the door of Raven's room in Titan's tower. Kory opened the door to see Rita on the other end. She smiled at Raven. "You look beautiful," she said. "Everyone is ready and waiting."

"I'm ready," smiled Raven as everyone left her room but her. She had decided to walk down the aisle alone. She didn't see it as a bad thing. It felt empowering to her.

Walking upstairs, she opened the door with her powers and stepped onto the roof to see everyone in their place as she walked down the aisle. When her eyes met Gar's, she could feel his love for her envelope her, making her smile for what seemed the millionth time. She could also feel his hunger and want for her as they hadn't slept together for so long, making her blush as she continued down the aisle, feeling his eyes all over her body.

Their hands and eyes connected as they stood before the person performing their ceremony. Rita smiled at the couple before she began. "We are all here today to celebrate the deep love Garfield Mark Logan and Raven share and will continue to share once they are bonded together in matrimony. It has been brought to my attention that the couple has vows they would like to give. Raven."

"Garfield," Raven smiled as he squeezed her trembling hands for encouragement. "You make me feel so much that it's hard to put into words, but I will try. I've never known someone quite as persistent as you. You cared enough about me to try and bring me out of my shell by any means whether it was spending time with you or our friends. You made me feel like I wasn't alone, and I will never be alone again as long as you are by my side. I love you so much."

"Wow, it's going to be hard to top that," he said as he took a deep breath in and then out before saying his vows. "Raven. You were such a mystery in the beginning, and I was intrigued by you. I knew there was more to you than what you were showing, and I wanted to bring it out of you. When you laughed that day on this island, before Titans tower was even a thought, I fell in love. I didn't expect to that soon since we didn't even know each other that well yet, and it scared me. As we got to know each other, I wasn't so scared anymore. You've been there when I needed you, and I always thought you understood more than the others ever did or ever will. You're the strongest, bravest, badass, and breathtakingly beautiful woman I have ever met. I feel so lucky to be yours. I love you to Rae."

There wasn't a dry eye on the roof. As Rita wiped the tears from her eyes, she felt so proud of them. "Well, let's get you two married," said Rita. "So, do you Garfield take Raven to be your wife and soulmate?"

"I do!" said Gar.

"And do you Raven take Garfield to be your husband and soulmate?" asked Rita.

"I do," she smiled as she squeezed Gar's hands in excitement.

"By the power invested in me by the internet, I know pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss each other," said Rita.

When their lips locked, love flowed through them until passion took over and they were holding each other so tight that they could have been one person. Their friends and families were happy for them until it looked like they were going to have sex on the roof.

"Hey, hey! Save that for the honeymoon. We don't need to see a preview," said Victor. The couple blushed as they moved apart but still holding hands.

"Good save Vic, the last thing we want is to be scarred for life," said Dick as Wally laughed.

The reception had been lively with entertainment as everyone laughed, danced, and had fun. When it was over Dick, Kory, Vic, Karen, Wally, Jinx, the Doom Patrol, and Raven's aunt and uncle saw them off as Raven created a portal while Gar held onto her and their belongings as they disappeared into the black hole.
