Ethan: Now that the ultimate evil has been destroyed, all of us can finally rest easy.
PDR: Of course, there's still more to do. Hotaru, Sailor Saturn... something seems to have happened to her, thanks to Super Sailor Moon. So, we need to figure that out.
Ethan: Plus, there's something Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto want to do involving me. But, it's not all bad, I think.
PDR: The wrapping up of our story begins with this chapter. Enjoy!
Chapter 35
Hotaru's Reincarnation! Revelry of Rivalry!
Super Sailor Moon, holding a baby in her arms, feels physically and mentally drained, despite holding strong.
"Those eyes... Sailor Moon doesn't look so good!" Ethan senses.
Super Sailor Moon falls to her knees and begs, "Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, please help me!"
The three outer scouts run to her immediately. Following them are Ethan, Shadow, Sailor Heart, Sylvester and Tweety.
"Sailor Moon!" Uranus calls.
"The baby!" Neptune calls.
"Is she alright?" Pluto asks.
"She's... she's fine. But, I'm too weak to hold her, anymore." Super Moon faintly says. "Please, take care of her."
"We will." Uranus agrees.
Neptune takes a hold of the baby. The others nearby got a closer look at the baby.
"Ohh! She's so cute!" Heart blushes.
"Can... she really be...?" Shadow figures.
"Everyone, let's meet again, soon. I know we're all exhausted from all that we have done." Uranus says.
"You got it. And thank you for looking after her. Please, let us know what you will be doing with her... if we believe we know who exactly she is." Ethan somewhat senses.
"Sure." Uranus nods.
The three outer scouts move out. Sailor Heart kneels down and supports Sailor Moon, having turned back into her normal form, and for her pure heart to return to her body.
"It's over. It's finally all over." Moon pants.
"Yeah. We really did it. It's... hard to believe we actually defeated the Heart Snatchers." Heart thinks.
"I wonder what happened to Rini..." Shadow ponders.
"Rini, I wonder... did Sailor Saturn..." Heart guesses.
The four inner scouts get up and see that their friends are back and that the battle has won.
"Sailor Moon!" Mars calls.
"Ethan!" Venus calls.
"Shadow!" Jupiter calls.
"Sailor Heart!" Mercury calls.
The inner scouts run over to meet up with the others. Happy greetings and pleasantries are all over, and the entire gang is joyous that they have won thanks to their power of love.
The next morning, Rini wakes up from her rest in Darien's home.
"Wake up, sleepyhead. You have a full house." Darien greets.
Awaiting her awakening are Serena, Darien, Luna, Artemis, Tina, Thomas, Sylvester, Tweety, Lita, Mina, Amy, and Raye.
"... Huh? What's going on? Why are you all starring at me? And... why are you crying, Tina?" Rini questions.
"... Rini, you're back!" Tina sobs.
Tina cries as she takes a gentle hold over Rini.
"... Back? Back from where?" Rini asks.
"I guess you wouldn't know, seeing as how you got knocked out thanks to Kaorinite." Shadow recalls.
"Kaorinite? ... Ohh, yeah. I got hurt really bad, and then everything became black. Next thing I know, I started to see white, and then I hear a voice that sounded like Hotaru. What happened to me?" Rini wonders.
"... You got your heart stolen, Rini! By the Heart Snatchers!" Tina answers.
"My heart... Ahhhhhh..." Rini gasps hard. "Ohh, no... you all were so worried about me! I'm... I'm sorry..."
Rini becomes sad and sobs.
"Don't be, Rini. We're all just so happy that you're back, safe and sound." Tina assures.
"Tina has been worried about you ever since we came back. But, when we heard from Darien, we were all relieved." Shadow clarifies.
"Hey! I was worried, too, you know. I was just so heartbroken when they took your heart, Rini. And Tina... she just broke down." Serena frowns.
"... Ohh, Tina..." Rini looks at Tina.
"But there's nothing to worry about anymore. All of us have taken down those Heart Snatchers for good. And it was all thanks... to everyone's efforts." Thomas smiles.
"Especially Sailor Saturn..." Shadow adds.
"Sailor Saturn...? Huh? There was another Sailor Scout? ... Hold on, where's Hotaru? She's okay, isn't she?" Rini asks.
The others look at one another, wondering what to say.
"We need to tell her. She has the right to know." Shadow feels.
"Tell me what?" Rini wonders.
Tina lets go as Shadow goes up to Rini.
"Hotaru... she had two different beings within her. The first was an evil being that was inside of her named Mistress 9. She was the cause of all of the pain, suffering, and spells Hotaru had ever since she was little." Shadow begins.
"Mistress 9?" Rini asks.
"She, herself, was but a pawn for Pharaoh 90, the one who was really responsible for all of the Heart Snatcher business we had to deal with." Shadow says.
"Ohhh..." Rini understands.
"That part of her was gone, and in her place, came Sailor Saturn, the sailor scout of destruction." Shadow informs.
"So... she really was a Sailor Scout?" Rini asks.
"Yes. Originally, the outer scouts thought that with her powers, she was evil. But, I don't think that's the case. While her powers are real, thanks to being a part of Hotaru, and what you and I have done for her, she's just as good as the rest of us." Shadow confirms.
"Sailor Saturn. Ohhhhh! That reminds me of a dream I had." Rini recalls.
"A dream, Rini?" Serena asks.
"Hotaru came here. In my dreams, she was Sailor Saturn! She came here... and said thank you!" Rini sheds a few tears.
"Looks like we can confirm that Saturn did return your pure heart, Rini." Raye says.
"She thanked you, Rini, for the kindness you gave to her." Tina smiles.
"I got my resolution with Hotaru. And, she got her resolution with you." Shadow says.
"I still don't get it, though. Where is Hotaru? Why is she not here with us?" Rini asks.
"Rini... Sailor Saturn, after we all had our final bout against Pharaoh 90, used her powers of destruction to finish it off. However, it costed her life to do so." Serena informs.
"No... don't tell me she's..." Rini sobs.
"Don't you worry, Rini. I saved her." Serena smiles.
"You... save her, Serena?" Rini wonders.
Serena takes her hands and places them on top of Rini's. "Using my silver crystal, my powers of Super Sailor Moon, and the last bit of the Purity Chalice, I gave Hotaru a second life. Now, she's a baby."
"A baby..." Rini frowns. "That means... I can't spend time with her, anymore... not as how I remembered it, anyway."
"Don't be sad, Rini." Serena says.
"I'm sure everything's gonna work out just fine for her." Darien figures.
"Amara, Michelle, and Trista are gonna figure out what to do with her. They'll be taking care of her in the meantime." Tina informs.
"When we hear back from what they will do with her, we'll let you know as soon as possible." Thomas assures.
"Rini, Hotaru would want for you to move on, and live happily with the people that are still with you, that want to be with you. I'm... doing the same, myself." Shadow smiles.
"Okay. I won't cry anymore. I'll live my life with all of you, my friends... and my family!" Rini smiles warmly. "And... thank you all for saving her, Tina, Thomas, Shadow, mommy, and everyone else. Thank you!"
"Ohh, Rini." Serena gleams.
The next day, now that everything is fully settled, Rini can return back to school. Serena and Tina help get Rini dressed and ready to go. It includes a hat with a ribbon that reminds Rini of the red ribbons Tina receives upon going Super.
"Rini? We're waiting! Where are you?" One of her female friends call.
"Time to go, Rini." Tina smiles.
"Have a good day at school." Serena hopes.
"I will! See you later!" Rini runs out of the house to meet her friends. "Hi, you guys!"
"Come on, we're gonna miss the bus!" One of the girls say.
All of the girls giggle and run off to the bus. Serena and Tina see her off.
"Last one there's a rotten egg!" Another of the girls say.
They smile, seeing Rini going off happy.
"Looks like Rini's feeling okay." Serena figures.
"Yeah. She told me last night that she misses Hotaru, but... she wants to move on with her life, just like Shadow did." Tina recalls.
"Yeah..." Serena nods.
Luna and Artemis jump on top of a pole to get their words in, too.
"I wonder if there could have been another way..." Luna ponders.
"It's possible you could have destroyed Pharaoh 90 without Saturn having to use her destructive power." Artemis thinks.
"She said that she wanted to make sure that Pharaoh 90 was truly destroyed. And better to be safe than sorry." Tina says.
"She risked her life to save us all. I held baby Hotaru in my arms with all of my might... and I'm gonna do whatever it takes to keep her safe and sound. And I won't rest until I do." Serena gleams in assurance, looking down at her hands. Tina holds one of them with her own.
"We all wish to do the same, Serena." Tina smiles.
"Tina..." Serena continues to gleam.
All of the kids are riding the school bus to their school. Rini, sitting by herself, remembers the many memories she had with Hotaru.
"I miss you, Hotaru. I hope you have a good life with whoever wishes to raise you." Rini desires.
Rini looks out the window and sees a familiar looking car. That car belongs to Amara. And speaking of which, Amara, Michelle, and Trista are in a diner, as Michelle holds baby Hotaru while feeding her milk.
"She is so adorable." Trista admires.
"Just the cutest little thing." Michelle agrees.
"... She is quite calm considering her fate." Amara comments, enjoying some tea.
"Yeah, and she loves to eat." Michelle adds.
"She seems to love you, too." Amara notices.
"Babies love anyone who takes care of them and pays them attention. You should give it a try, Amara." Michelle insists.
"No, thanks." Amara turns down.
"We insist that you do. After all, we won't have her for much longer." Trista says.
"Destiny awaits, right?" Amara says, putting her tea cup down.
"There's only one person that truly qualifies to take care of her." Trista believes.
"Indeed." Michelle agrees.
"You ready?" Amara asks.
Trista nods. Michelle says, "Mmhmm. Just need to let the air out."
Michelle gently rubs baby Hotaru's back, causing her to let out a burp.
"There. That's better." Michelle nods.
"Then, we're off." Amara says.
The three head into Amara's car, as she drives them off to their destination. Hotaru is sleeping as Trista holds her.
'In the end, I'm so glad those like Thomas and Tina were there, as well as Shadow. For without them... I imagined my fate to be different, in that I might have had to use the forbidden Time Stop technique. I'm jealous of Shadow and Thomas, in that they can use a similar technique without a massive penalty like mine.' Trista ponders.
'It's still hard to believe that Hotaru was saved, let alone see that Sailor Saturn was good. Our fates put us on a wild ride.' Amara thinks.
Amara thinks back to many of the precious memories she has had. From the times she first met Michelle, to the awakening of her being Sailor Uranus, to first encountering Ethan, and the many experiences she had with her rivalry with him. And... to the wonderful memories she adores having with Thomas as a brother figure for her.
'I wonder... if there's something I still feel like I need to do before... we move back to the future.' Amara ponders.
Serena, currently blindfolded, is sitting down in her bed, wondering what Tina plans to do.
"I wonder what Tina's about to give me as a surprise. Is it a vacation? A gift for Darien?" Serena then gasps in thought of a particular gift, "Maybe it's a free 'all you can eat' pig out!"
"Don't be silly, Serena. It's more meaningful than that." Tina says, as she comes in with the gift.
"Well... what is it? Are you going to give it to me? Can I take my blindfold off, now?" Serena questions.
"Easy, Serena. Let me give you the gift, first. Then, you can take your blindfold off." Tina insists.
Tina takes out a certain game and puts it in Serena's hand.
"Alright. Take it off!" Tina says.
"What could it be? What... could it... be?" Serena becomes excited, taking off your blindfold to see. She gasps of excitement. "Is this... is it really finished, Tina?"
"Yep! Danmaku Magicians is done! And I haven't officially put it on sale, yet. You get the very first copy of it!" Tina says.
"YES! You're the best, girlfriend! Thank you!" Serena gives Tina a hug.
"No problem, Serena." Tina blushes a bit.
"Well, I'm not just gonna stand around and admire it. I'm gonna play it. To Story Mode!" Serena calls.
Serena puts the game in the console, turns it on, and plays the game.
"You have your work cut out for you, Serena. There's a secret that unlocks if you beat Story Mode, Extra Mode, and Phantasm Mode as all three characters with any of their options." Tina hints.
"I'm gonna be at this game for a long time, mastering it in and out. I will unlock that secret... no matter what!" Serena rallies. "Now, which one should I play as first? Alice or Patchouli? Decisions..."
"Ohh, I should make sure to have three extra copies on the ready... when they arrive once of these days." Tina anticipates.
Amara's group arrives at the hospital.
As they walk on in, a male voice announces, "Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson. Report to emergency. Code Red. Dr. Sanski, report to pediatric, stat."
Giving baby Hotaru to a nurse, Michelle follows them.
"She's a beautiful little girl. You took such good care of her. It's a miracle she survived the explosion." The nurse says.
The nurse knocks on the door, then opens it. Inside was Dr. Tomoe, but he had been badly injured, being on a cast and in a wheelchair.
"You have a visitor." The nurse informs. "Dr. Tomoe?"
Facing towards the window, he turns around upon hear the nurse's voice.
"We've brought you a very special visitor, sir. Someone you mentioned quite a few times. Here." The nurse gives Hotaru to Michelle.
"Come here, sweet pea." Michelle says warmly and gives baby Hotaru to Dr. Tomoe. "Here you are."
Baby Hotaru awakens from her sleep and does baby talk.
"Hotaru." Dr. Tomoe smiles.
Why is Dr. Tomoe not asking question in regards to her daughter turning into a baby? Well, his injures had something to do with it. And Amara and Trista learn about that from a head doctor.
"Dr. Tomoe has suffered emotional and mental trauma. But fortunately, he's made extremely good progress with his rehabilitation exercises. Will you believe... he'll eventually be able to resume a normal life?" The head doctor reports.
"That is rather unfortunate, but it is good that he is recovering." Trista says.
"Yeah." Amara agrees.
"However, the loss of memory is still a big issue, and it will take some time for the amnesia to disappear... if it does." The doctor continues.
A little later, Dr. Tomoe takes her daughter to a wheelchair drive through the park, with the three watching over them.
"In a bizarre way, having his memory being lost ends up being beneficial for us." Trista realizes.
"..." Michelle looks out in a sad expression.
"You okay, Michelle?" Amara asks.
"I will be. I am gonna miss her little face so much." Michelle admits.
"Me, too. But, she'll be just fine, now." Trista smiles.
"I think so, too. Now, then..." Amara takes her hands, and puts one of them on Michelle's shoulder and the other on Trista's shoulder. "There's something I want to do. Something that I'll need you both to help me with."
"Amara... is this about Thomas?" Michelle asks.
"Mmhmm." Amara nods. "I... want to settle one last thing with him, under certain conditions that I'm sure he'll accept. It'll give us a chance, but still... our odds will not be favorable."
"Whatever you need to do, Amara, we'll be there!" Trista nods.
"It'll also be our time to say goodbye to everyone, so we need to make sure that everyone else is there as well." Michelle says.
"I agree. Now, let's blow this pop stand!" Amara puts it in a whimsical tone.
"I'll let them know, then, along with what we have done with Hotaru." Trista volunteers.
It's time for the kids to play all around the huge playground. Between swings, a jungle gym, bicycles, and all sorts of unique games, it's a fun time for everyone.
Rini is enjoying her ride in her bicycle. Two of her female friends are riding alongside her.
"Ready to go on a wild ride?" Rini asks.
"Yeaaaah!" The two girls agree.
"Come on, then... let's go, noooooow!" Rini rallies.
Rini increases her speed first, but her hat flies right off of her.
"Ohhh no, my hat!" Rini stops and she says to the girls, "I'll catch up with you guys. Go ahead." She gets out of her bike and runs after her hat. "Why do I bother wearing these things? They always blow off!"
As she was climbing up a hill to where her hat ended up, a dazzle of light shines.
"Huh? What was that?" Rini notices, stopping her climb. "Did I really see that just now, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?"
Rini continues climbing up, making it up the hill a few moments later. She spots her hat nearby.
"There you are, you silly hat." Rini smiles, walking towards it.
Just before she grabs it, another hand from a girl near her age picks it up.
"Huh?" Rini sees her hat being picked up by someone. She looks up and sees a somewhat familiar face to her.
"Hi, Rini." The girl greets.
"Do I know you...?" Rini tries to recognize.
"You don't remember me? You and I made a promise together next time we would see each other." The girl remembers.
"A promise... Hold on, that blonde hair, and those blue eyes... are you... Sarah?" Rini remembers.
"Yes, it's me!" Sarah confirms.
Rini gasps with excitement, "You're back!"
Rini runs up to Sarah and gives her a hug. After the hug, Sarah puts Rini's hat back on her head.
"Thanks for bringing me my hat. I have trouble with hats more times than I could count." Rini says.
"I've had the same problem in Gensokyo. That's why I don't wear hats." Sarah recalls.
"If you could fly like Tina and I, you could easily get back any hats that fly off!" Rini figures.
"I wish I could fly. I'm jealous of all those girls that can fly easily." Sarah desires.
"I've had the same problem before I was taught to fly like Tina." Rini compares.
"Lucky!" Sarah exclaims.
The two giggle. Then, they sit down near a tree.
"You just came back?" Rini hears.
"Yeah. I know the first person I should be seeing should have been my big sis. But... while we were coming back, Sanae saw you playing, then she saw that the wind blew your hat away and you were alone. I thought to keep you company, and to finally spend time together." Sarah explains.
"Ohh, yeah. Now that we've dealt with the Heart Snatchers, those girls came to bring you back, huh?" Rini recalls.
"They did. It's not a formal appearance, and I know they want to see Tina and the others, again. I want to take the time we have now and get to know each other... as two girls who are truly like sisters to Tina!" Sarah smiles.
"This is the perfect time, actually. I was just riding my bicycle around with my friends. Let's go get you a bike, so you can ride with me!" Rini suggests.
"Yeah! I've had to use a bicycle a lot to get around the safer roads in Gensokyo." Sarah admits.
"Maybe we can race to see who's faster." Rini hopes.
"I'd like that!" Sarah agrees.
Rini and Sarah go down a hill on the other side. Just then, they see Dr. Tomoe and baby Hotaru coming down the road.
"Hey, that's Dr. Tomoe! And is that..." Rini recognizes.
"Hi there." Dr. Tomoe.
"Hi, mister. Is that your baby?" Sarah asks.
"She's beautiful!" Rini gasps.
"That she is. My precious sweet pea." Dr. Tomoe smiles.
'So, she really did turn into a baby.' Rini ponders.
"I'm Sarah, and this is Rini." Sarah introduces.
"Nice to meet you two. Hmm?" Dr. Tomoe looks down, and sees that Hotaru has quite the admiration for Rini. "Yes, sweet pea, I can see. She certainly likes you, Miss Rini. Those are her happy sounds."
"Wow! She likes you instantly? It's so cool, isn't it, Rini? It's almost as if she knows you!" Sarah admires, not yet aware of Rini's past with Hotaru.
"Ohhh..." Rini expresses.
Hotaru reaches out to Rini through an instinctual sense.
"Ohhh?" Dr. Tomoe wonders about Hotaru.
"Hahahaha!" Rini reaches her hand out to baby Hotaru, as she holds it with both of her little hands.
"Awwww!" Sarah gleams of such adorableness.
"We've only been together since early this morning." Dr. Tomoe admits.
"What's her name?" Rini asks of our curiosity.
"Officially, Hotaru. But, sweet pea works, too." Dr. Tomoe answers.
"Hotaru... I'll remember." Rini says.
"What a beautiful name!" Sarah smiles.
"Thank you." Dr. Tomoe expresses his appreciation.
"Dr. Tomoe, time for her bottle!" A nurse waves.
"Okay!" Dr. Tomoe waves back, while Hotaru desires to be with Rini more.
"It was nice meeting you and your daughter." Rini speaks.
"Same here." Dr. Tomoe mirrors.
"Have a good life, you two!" Sarah waves.
"Thanks! Say goodbye, sweet pea." Dr. Tomoe says, riding off in his wheelchair.
Rini and Sarah wave goodbye to the two, as the two go to the nurse.
"Hotaru..." Rini smiles in the memory of Hotaru, "You're the best friend I've ever known. And don't you forget it. Best friends are forever, Hotaru."
'I probably don't know everything that happened with Rini and Hotaru, but as least she seems happy... and content.' Sarah examines.
Minus Rini and Sarah, all of the scouts, Thomas, Shadow, Darien, and the pets arrive near the area where Mugen School used to be at.
"You're about to leave?" Serena gasps.
"Yes. Now that our mission is finally complete, we can return back to the future we had came from." Michelle explains.
"That's right. You had mentioned before that you came from the future." Darien recalls.
"It won't be a problem since I am the guardian of time." Trista assures.
"Ohh, but... there was still so much I wanted us to do, together. We have yet to truly hang out and make some more great memories. Even just spend time with us at Raye's shrine." Tina frowns.
"And you know how sad Rini's going to be when she finds out that you left, Trista." Shadow figures.
"I'll come see her before we leave. And... it's not like we'll be leaving to go back right away." Trista says.
"There's a lot we want to take a look at around this world. We'll be going on a road trip, just the three of us." Amara smiles.
"So, that's it, huh? It's really goodbye?" Thomas frowns.
"Not yet. Do you honestly think we would leave just like that?" Amara denies.
"What do you mean?" Sylvester wonders.
"Besides this final farewell for us, there's one more thing I feel like we need to do, Thomas." Amara says.
"What's that?" Thomas asks.
"Settling our rivalry once and form all!" Amara becomes serious.
"Huh?" Thomas exclaims.
"Wait... even after all we've been through, recently, you are still thinking about that?" Raye questions.
"Are you guys not sibling figures? Why do you need to continue acting like rivals?" Tina asks.
"I'm not doing this for just petty reasons. Thomas, I have realized that you are clearly stronger than me, stronger than many of us. In terms of going all out, I stand no chance of winning. I know that, and I won't deny that. However..." Amara explains.
"However?" Thomas wonders.
"What if we were to even out the playing field as much as possible?" Amara theorizes.
"How, exactly?" Thomas asks.
"You will not use any transformations. No Super Saiyan forms at any point during the battle, no Super form, or any other transformations you have within you. And just to make sure, no uses of your Chaos Emeralds." Amara plans out.
"Just me and my base self, huh? You still think you have a chance?" Thomas smirks.
"On our first bout with one another, you clearly outsmarted and outplayed me. Well, not just me, but me and Michelle. This time, it'll be me, Michelle, and Trista." Amara clarifies.
"We have our Pokémon moves that we taught you, so we have a lot more options this time." Michelle adds.
"You can use most of your other Saiyan techniques. But, you cannot fly. Since we can't fly, you can't, either." Trista adds further.
"Everything else is fair game. So what do you say, Thomas, you in?" Amara asks.
"You betcha! If you want it to be settled as you ask of me, Amara, then it would be my pleasure... for one last dance!" Thomas grins.
Thomas pushes a button on his watch, transforming him into Ethan.
"Uranus Star Power!" Amara transforms into Sailor Uranus.
"Neptune Star Power!" Michelle transforms into Sailor Neptune.
"Pluto Star Power!" Trista transforms into Sailor Pluto.
"Good luck to you guys!" Mina wishes.
"Show us a good battle!" Lita hopes.
"Give it your all, you three!" Amy cheers.
"Yeah! You can do it as well, you sexy beast!" Tina expresses.
Most of the others laugh with Tina's cheer.
Shadow ponders over Tina's nickname for her brother, "Huh? ... Sexy... beast?"
Everyone else moves out of the way, so it gives Ethan and the outer scouts plenty of space to battle.
"You girls may have gotten stronger thanks to me, but know this. I have gotten stronger as a person, myself. So, it won't be like our first meeting." Ethan informs.
"We've gotten used to the abilities you have given us, Ethan." Uranus says.
"Indeed. It kind of makes me wish we could go to the world you got these powers from." Neptune agrees.
"Pokémon... I wonder what those creatures look like." Pluto imagines.
"I want to meet Pikachu. It's cute and produces electricity? Sounds like my kind of pet!" Lita admires.
"That's one mouse I would definitely like to avoid, myself." Sylvester says.
"Ohh, puddy tat!" Tweety chuckles.
"Ladies first." Ethan offers.
"What a gentleman!" Neptune giggles. "In that case, I shall attack, first. Surf's up!"
Neptune summons a giant wave to attack Ethan with.
"Going big right off the bat, I see." Artemis comments.
"Let me give you a Helping Hand, Uranus. Give Ethan a knockout blow!" Pluto insists, boosting Uranus's power with positive energy.
"On it!" Uranus prepares a Mega Punch, then rushes in, anticipating a dodge from Ethan.
Ethan jumps out of the way of the wave.
"I'm not gonna get washed away from that!" Ethan avoids.
Uranus makes a leap towards Ethan and successfully punches Ethan in his stomach, sending him down to the ground hard.
"A good blow from Uranus. Not only did it act as a distraction for him, the wave hid Uranus's charge towards him." Shadow notices.
"I'm not sure if that's what they were going for, but it worked out well." Raye says.
"They're going to need some serious teamwork to stand a chance at beating Ethan, even just being as he is." Luna says.
Ethan leaps back up his feet.
"Heh... a good first strike at me, Uranus." Ethan compliments.
"But, our battle has just begun!" Uranus says.
"Indeed. Now, to become the way of the warrior." Ethan prepares.
Ethan charges up two energy spheres and turns them both into swords, creating the energy katana.
"It's Bushido!" Lita recognizes.
"What an interesting style of combat. I never would have known about something like that back at my original world." Shadow says.
Ethan runs towards Neptune.
"Water Gun!" Neptune attacks.
Neptune shoots a spray of water from her mouth. Ethan elegantly avoids her spray. Neptune shoots several more times. But both times, he dodges the attacks. He jumps into Neptune and strikes her, sending her back.
Using Air Cutter, Pluto releases several razor-like wind cutters to Ethan. He blocks it with his katana, then rushes in to strike Pluto. Pluto avoids three of Ethan's swipes. Increases the speed of his fourth swipe, Pluto blocks it with her garnet rod. Ethan uses his other sword to knock the rod out of her hands, then slashes her with both katana to send Pluto back.
Immediately afterwards, Uranus performs a strong chop with Brick Break, but Ethan back flips out of the way of it. He then rushes in and performs a cross slash attack. But Uranus Detects the move and does a light leap to dodge it, then performs a series of punches and kicks at Ethan using Close Combat.
Her final blow is actually another move, sending him flying high in the air using Sky Uppercut, and releasing his katana.
"Whoa!" Serena gasps in awe.
"What an awesome combo attack from Uranus. That's showing him!" Raye cheers.
Taking the opportunity to deal more damage to Ethan, Neptune releases a huge pressure of water using Hydro Pump, while Pluto releases a dark green beam with Roar of Time.
"... Heh, I won't make it that easy!" Ethan smirks.
Ethan dodges both attacks with incredible speed. Right as he emerges, however, he gets struck by a powerful sphere coming from Amara's Aura Sphere, sending him to the ground.
"Uranus is getting some good hits on him." Darien comments.
"You can really tell that she's taking this seriously, and also enjoying the attacks she is successfully able to deal to him." Tina notices.
Ethan gets up from the ground. "Uranus, you have really surprised me at how much damage you've inflicted on me."
"And it feels good, Ethan. I've finally got to deal some good strikes on you!" Uranus smiles.
"It helps that you're keeping calm and not letting your emotions get the better of you." Ethan says.
"That, and... it would be a lot harder to get any hits on you without Neptune and Pluto." Uranus admits.
"This battle does seem to be more about you and Uranus, Ethan, rather than the three of us against you." Pluto feels.
"That's not entirely true. Even though this is my idea and my desire, you two are truly making a big difference by giving it your all as well. I'll make sure you both get a good hit on Ethan before all is said and done!" Uranus desires.
"Bold claim to make, Uranus. I still have plenty of strength left!" Ethan grins.
"And so do we. Water Pulse!" Neptune attacks.
Neptune charges several spheres of water in her hands. She fires one at Ethan, who dodges it. She fires another, but Ethan teleports away from it. Uranus fires another Aura Sphere at Ethan. Knowing of its homing properties, he runs away from it for a bit.
"Mirror Coat!" Ethan calls.
Into a good position, he releases a small, pink barrier in front of the Aura Sphere, takes the damage from it, then sends it right back at Uranus with double the speed and power. At the same time, Pluto got behind him and prepares a powerful attack.
The sphere goes back to Uranus. With no way to avoid it, Uranus takes a big hit from own attack.
"Ooooh... that had to hurt." Serena sweatdrops.
"And it'll be the same for Ethan!" Tweety notices.
"Hurricane!" Pluto calls out.
Realizing he didn't detect Pluto behind him until it was too late, he expresses "Crap..."
Pluto releases a giant twisting windstorm that deals big hits to Ethan. When the attacks ends, Neptune jumps up and rushes down to strike Ethan covered in a rush of water using Waterfall.
As she is about to hit, Ethan dodges it, leaving an afterimage. He appears right in front of Pluto and runs towards her while preparing a really powerful fist attack.
"Focus Punch!" Ethan calls.
"Heh... Whirlwind!" Trista grins.
Trista releases a powerful gust of wind that blows Ethan right out of the area. Uranus, being closest to Ethan currently, attacks with the health absorbing Drain Punch. Just barely avoiding the attack, Ethan goes in with his Focus Punch still in tact. Uranus braces herself as she is hit by a powerful blow.
"Right back at ya!" Uranus smirks.
"No..." Ethan gasps.
Uranus glows an orange color and strikes Ethan back with double the force thanks to Counter. With Ethan taking a massive blow, Neptune strikes Ethan with a rush of her Aqua Jet, and a powerful strike of rotating wind using Pluto's Aeroblast.
The audience become in awe by their combination of moves.
"Amazing!" Mina admires.
"Those three are keeping up quite well against Ethan, and are doing a great job at keeping up the pressure with him." Amy comments.
"It looks like they intend on finishing things right now." Tina points.
"Triple Planet Swirl!" Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto combo attacks.
They send a triple colored mega powered planet attack towards Ethan. Starting to feel tired, Ethan charges his chi up, and combines his Kamehameha and Hyper Beam for a combo attack of his own.
"Hyper... Kamehamehaaaaaa!" Ethan fires.
He fires off a bluish-orange beam at the Triple Planet Swirl for a clash off. Both sides struggle to overpower the other.
"Who will win this one?" Serena wonders.
"I have no idea." Tina says.
The scouts begin to overpower Ethan, but Ethan charges his chi even further and starts overpowering them.
"Come on... we can do this!" Neptune calls.
"Give it everything you've got, girls!" Pluto supports.
"Just like we were taught by Ethan... charge your chi up, girls!" Uranus commands.
The three gather large amounts of energy into their bodies, powering their attacks threefold. This allows them to once again overpower Ethan's beam.
'I've just about reached my limits without additional boosts from my other abilities. Well, Uranus, looks like it's your victory...' Ethan smiles, satisfied by their amazing teamwork.
Ethan happily takes the blow from their attacks and falls to the ground.
"I surrender. It's your win, Uranus!" Ethan declares.
"Wha? I... I actually won?" Uranus raises an eyebrow.
The audience cheers and claps for a great battle.
"Great job, you three!" Tina cheers.
"What fantastic teamwork!" Sylvester comments.
"Looks like it's settled quite nicely." Shadow says.
"You must be so happy, Uranus!" Serena figures.
"Wow... I... I feel at a lost for words. I really didn't think we would win. I thought Ethan would pull off something we didn't know about at the last second and take us down." Uranus says in a baffling tone.
Ethan gets up, "There's only so much I can do without my transformations. Really, though, the coordination and stringing of attacks you three have done was really why you were able to take me down."
"I did notice the amount of focus and timing they all had done to get those hits on Ethan." Raye says.
"I've had fun, today. And it was also nice battling without risking our lives for once." Pluto expresses.
"Well, Uranus, are you satisfied with your rivalry with Ethan?" Neptune asks.
"I am." Uranus nods, then goes up to Ethan. "I really just wanted to win once, to truly get you good... no matter what it took."
"You got what you desired. Glad I was able to fulfill the conditions you set for me." Ethan smiles.
"And with that done, I only want us to be family from now on. Our fighting days are over." Uranus declares.
"Good. I want it to be that way." Ethan holds a hand out.
Uranus holds her hand out and they give each other a high five.
The sun begins to set. Now back in their normal forms, Amara, Michelle, and Trista begin their final goodbyes with everyone, with Amara's car being nearby.
"I've just got done saying my goodbyes with Rini." Trista informs.
"Good to hear." Tina smiles.
'Tina, you will be looking forward to the nice surprise Rini has for you.' Trista smiles in thought.
"Things started off really rocky for us. And Thomas made things even more complicated." Amara starts.
"But in the end, what matters is that we can all look forward to the same future as a family." Michelle adds.
"You'll always be within our hearts!" Serena assures.
"I know that your duties will continue onward, but remember to have fun, too. It's important to not get stressed out and whatnot." Tina advises.
"We'll make sure to do that. You all take care of yourselves." Michelle wishes.
"I know we'll meet again one day. When we do, I want us all to hang out together as friends." Amara desires.
"You got it, Amara!" Serena cheers.
"Trista, I wanted to give you something for a while, now." Thomas says.
"For me?" Trista wonders.
"Yes. This." Thomas gives.
Thomas presents to Trista a dark green bonding ring.
"Isn't that a bonding ring?" Michelle recognizes.
"Well, I was hoping that you could be a part of the sibling figures that Amara, Michelle, and I ended up being as." Thomas desires.
"It's beautiful. And of course I want to be. Thank you, Thomas." Trista blushes, putting on the ring.
The four put their rings close together: Thomas with his Blue Ring with a star on top, Amara with her Yellow ring, Michelle with her Cyan Ring, and Trista with her Dark Green ring.
"You are our brother figure, Thomas, now and forever!" Amara smiles.
"One day, I hope we get to do something special as family!" Michelle wishes.
"Who knows how much his family might truly expand, what with you being madly in love with Tina and all." Trista continues to blush.
"Well, it'll be a few years at the least." Thomas informs.
"I wonder how your love lives will blossom in the future!" Tina blushes.
Amara, Michelle and Trista blush a bit from Tina's comment.
"You might end being a bit surprised at the... kind of people I could possibly love." Amara hints.
"Though, I guess we'll see in due time!" Michelle giggles.
"Kind of makes you curious, though." Trista adds.
"We promise to be there... to serve and to protect you when you one day become Queen, our princess!" Amara bows.
"The Moon Kingdom does need to be reformed one of these days." Michelle bows.
"And I will continue my duties as the guardian of time, to assure that our past, present, and future are in peace." Trista bows.
"I'm looking forward to having you guys around." Serena smiles.
"Goodbye, everyone!" Michelle waves.
"Take care!" Trista waves as well.
Farewells, waves, and byes are expressed by everyone else, as the three head into the car and Amara starts it up.
"So long, Amara." Thomas calls.
"... Sayonara, Ethan, the 2nd Ultimate Lifeform." Amara waves.
They see the three drive off into the sunset.
"There they go." Lita says.
"I'll really miss those guys." Mina sheds a tear.
"They'll be fine. They have each other... and all of us, too." Thomas assures.
The wind breezes in their faces, as Amara drives her, Michelle, and Trista out of Tokyo and onto their next destination.
Heading their way back to their stop near Rini's home, Rini and Sarah sit next to the each other on the school bus.
"It is kind of sad. Not only can I not spend time with Hotaru, anymore, but now Pluto is gone, too." Rini sighs.
"You still have everyone else that's here. And now... you have me, too!" Sarah supports.
"Hahaha! Thanks, Sarah. And you're right. I do have everyone else! And you have your big sister, once she sees you!" Rini smiles.
"Yeah! I'm finally coming home to you, big sis." Sarah anticipates.
After a few minutes, Rini and Sarah both see everyone waiting for them, as they get off the bus to greet them.
PDR: I'm a bit surprised they managed to beat you.
Ethan: In a way, I am glad that they did win. Just as I have grown from them, they have grown themselves.
PDR: It's so cool!
Ethan: Just so you folks are aware, we are not doing the Sailor Moon S Movie for our story. Next chapter is going to be our last one.
PDR: How exciting... and a bit sad.
