"Thank you for bringing my son back to me, darling." Taken through the sea serpent, Maka and Ragnarok appear in a dimly-light room, and a smiling, green-haired woman greets them. She turned back toward the entrance she came through, and she called out to a few people behind her.
"They're here." A smirking man strides in through the entrance, his hair made up of an eye-like pattern. Two women push past him, women that she knows, and a shorter man follows not long after.
"Liz! Patty! Kid!" Patty runs up to her and hugs her, and Elizabeth joins her sister.
Kid follows up, moving closer to her, but doesn't hug her.
"We thought you were dead." Kid is the first to speak up, smiling in relief. The atmosphere is soon dampened when they notice Crona, and Blake are not with them, Liz the first to speak up.
"You said, you would rescue them all! Where is your son? And Blake?"
"Her son?"
"Crona, your companion, is Mrs. Gorgon's son."
"Miss Gorgon?" Another familiar name, but she cannot quite place it.
"He is here." Medusa strolls over to the still collapsed Ragnarok, sitting in the waves. When Maka again, notices Ragnarok, she reaches for her rifle, only to remember that it had been lost in the sea. Damn. She backs up, trying to escape the room, backing into Asura's chest.
"Where do you think you are wandering?" He slightly smirks and licks his lips, an action so creepy that it made her shudder. "Not trying to get away, are you?"
Maka moves forward, away from Asura to stand by Liz and Patty. Ragnarok stands to greet Medusa, bowing before her.
"You may leave us, Ragnarok." Ragnarok smiles, and bows again, "Of course mother." He closes his eyes and collapses to the ground. His body begins shaking, and it almost restructures, Ragnarok's muscled body reverting to Crona's thin one.
"Hello, M-Mother." He stutters, and shivers upon, seeing her, and looking Maka's way shows an expression of despair, of hopelessness.
"Kronos. It is… nice to see you again." Crona whimpers, too scared for any acts of rebellion, or to warn Maka as much as she wanted to.
Liz interrupts the awkward moment, forcing her input in. "What the hell? What just happened to Crona. His limbs…"
"Are fine." Her soothing voice ended her tirade. "Asura, why don't you and your… brother and his friends leave us for a little while. Maka looks a little shaken. I can… explain the situation to her. She must be scared, escaping death."
"We know her better. We can explain fine." Liz moves forward again, and Kid backs her. "You've never met Maka before, so I'm sure she would be more at ease with friends."
"You've also not explained where Blake Starvenson is." There is a threatening tone to Liz's voice, yet it is also firm.
Medusa frowned at their interruption, and looked disdainfully toward Asura. "Take them away for me please."
"With pleasure." Asura roughly grabs Liz's hand, and pushes Kid's back trying to force them out the door.
"Unhand me." Liz tries to take her wrist back from his back, and Kid turns around frowning. Asura takes both of her wrists, and Elizabeth screams.
"Let go of my sister!" Patty moves up to Asura, and bites his arm. He pulls both hands away from Elizabeth, rubbing the area where Patty had bitten him.
"Kiddo, your friends, are really quite annoying!" He pulls a revolver from under his shirt, and places it to Patty's head. He clicks the next bullet into place.
"Move!" Liz looks for an angle, anyway she can injure him, but none are guaranteed to be faster than his pulling the trigger. Kid's face enflames, angered and clenches his fists, bringing them up to his shoulders.
"I never should have trusted you."
"I'm surprised you believed my half-constructed excuse. When have I ever wanted to help people, Kiddo?"
"I thought Father sending you away, would be good for you!" He runs up to Asura, trying to surprise him, but Asura levels a glare at him.
"Move, or I'll put a bullet through her skull."
The three shuffles out the room, Asura following closely behind them, leaving only Medusa, Crona, and Maka with her.
Maka backs away, putting her fists up, her heart beating quickly.
"Who are you?"
"I'm surprised they didn't tell you." Medusa moves her hair to the side, moving her necklace downwards. Apparent, are three lines, similar to Soul's and the rest of the Resonance's crew.
"You're from Lantasia…"
"No, you're Medusa!" Maka clasps her hands over her mouth, her body shaking. If she had not understood before, the sheer terror on Crona's face, as well as Asura's revolver proved her identity. "You killed Wesley! And you're trying to kill Soul!"
Maka's anger builds up, so much that she rushes Medusa, trying to punch her. Medusa grabs her hand, twisting until she can hear the bone snap. Maka cries out in pain, and she holds the broken arm, with her whole one, trying to get rid of the pain. Medusa ignores her whimpers, addressing Crona.
"Crona, will you bring her to the auditorium. I have the feeling a show is about to start. And I promise, you'll want to be there for it."
"Crona?" Maka pleads.
His eyes are downcast, his usual expression all but gone from his face.
"I'm sorry Maka." He holds her hands, and they walk to another room, Maka trying to struggle against his iron grip.
"You don't have to do this Crona, you don't have to listen to her. We can escape this together. I can help you."
When Crona fails to respond, Maka tries again.
"I know you who you are, Crona. This isn't who you are. Let me go, and we can fight her together. You don't have to be afraid."
"Know him? He's been with you only a year. I'm his mother. He will not listen to you over me."
"Our bond is stronger than yours." Maka continues to argue, however futile it may seem.
"Bond?" Medusa laughs. "The only reason you know him is because I ordered him to meet you, to stay with you, and to bring you on the voyage. Your meeting, your relationship was my doing. Kronos does not have a relationship with you. He was only following my orders."
They enter the auditorium, and Crona moves her over to a wall, locking her hands in handcuffs, and tying her legs down.
"Crona. I know you." She is crying, now, pleading. "That isn't true."
"I'm sorry, Maka."
