Resolutions.
(Scott POV)
There was a beeping as I woke up. Noticing me and Ensign Lindsay Ballard next to me. As we got out and standed up.
"Sickbay to the Captain, This is the Doctor speaking," Doc said.
"You brought us out of statis," I said. "I assume you have news,"
"Yes," Doc said. "Our sensors show your vital signs are normal. How are you feeling?"
"We're fine, How long were we in stasis?" I said.
"A total of 17 days," Doc said.
"That long?" I said.
"I wanted to exhaust every possibility of finding a cure," Doc said.
"And?" I said.
"I regret to inform you that I have been unsuccessful, I have not been able to develop a counteragent for the Virus, and I have no other options to explore," Doc said.
"What about keeping us in stasis aboard Voyager," Lindsay said.
"Something in the planets' environment is shielding you from the effects of the virus, If you leave, you risk a recurrence of the disease. Which would undoubtedly prove fatal, The only option I can think of at the moment is contacting the Vidiians, They have sophisticated medical technology, It's possible they might be able to help," Doc said.
"I'll take it under advisement, Doc, Thank you for your efforts McCall out. McCall to Chakotay," I said.
"I'm here," Chakotay said.
"What do you think of the Doc's idea," I said.
"It's risky, The Vidiians have never shown any willingness to help us, It's more likely they'd attack Voyager, and try to harvest body parts from us," Chakotay said.
"Agreed, I just want to make sure we're not overlooking a possible alternative," I said.
"Could you live with yourself knowing You'd sent Voyager into that kind of danger?" Chakotay said.
"Chakotay turning command of Voyager to you, on a permanent basis, You orders are to resume a course for the Alpha Quadrant, And regardless of the Doctor's suggestion, You are not to make contact with the Vidiians," I said.
"I understand," Chakotay said.
"What about Clara and Chloe," I said.
"The Doctor doesn't want to risk them getting infected. They are taking it hard," Chakotay said.
"I'll prepare a message for the crew. Just keep an eye on them for me," I said.
"I will," Chakotay said.
"McCall out," I said.
(Chakotay POV)
In the Conference room.
"So we're just going to abandon them on this planet?" B'Elanna said.
"Those were Captain McCall express orders," I said.
"But you're captain now, You can rescind them," Tom said.
"To what end?" I said.
"I can't believe we haven't been able to find a cure for an insect bite," B'Elanna said.
"The Doctor hasn't deactivated himself for a month, He's tried everything," Kes said. "He's searched every Database, Attempted the most drastic research, You can't fault him,"
"I can tell you the morale of the crew is going to suffer if we leave them behind," Neelix said.
"Not if When we leave them behind," Tuvok said.
"The decision has been made, We will provide them everything they'll need for their survival and comfort," I said.
"I'm arranging for a modular shelter to be transported to the surface as will," Tuvok said.
"They'll have all the technology they need Weapons, Tricorders, a Replicator," I said.
"You talk as thought it were a camping trip," B'Elanna said. "They have to spend the rest of their lives down there,"
"That is not a certainly, Captain McCall and Ensign Ballard intends to continue researching the virus, They both are able scientists and may eventually be able to effect a cure," Tuvok said.
"The Captain asked you to put a Hyperdrive onto a Jumper right," I said.
"Yes, but it needs to be powered by A ZPM module for it to work which we have more than enough for now," B'Elanna said.
"If it becomes possible for them to leave the planet," I said.
"Chakotay. Jumpers are only able to use impulse, Hyper drive may even taken them passed us," Tom said.
"I know, There's is why on our way home we will be stopped at a planet where the Captain is sure there is a Stargate there, Since the Captain has the Symbol address for it. And the hyperdrive is a lot more faster than warp speed right now, If they are in Hyperdrive to get to that planet it would take them at least 2 Weeks to get there, Once we get there, If they are there we get them back and resume course home together," I said.
"But the Captain said it was going to takes us what 14 years to get there," Tom said.
"I don't know what else we can do here Tom," I said.
"How about feeling rotten as the rest of us," Tom said.
"I am but I have to take care of this crew now," I said.
"What about Clara and Chloe, Are we really going to keep them here if they want to be with the Captain," Tom said.
"That's what I am going to find out now, If they want to stay with them I can't stop them, But it will be up to the Captain to make the final call. Not me," I said. "If there is nothing more. Then Dismissed,"
That was went I went down to them but I only saw Clara.
"Commander," Clara said.
"I just needed to know if you want to stay here or stay with them down there," I said.
"But the Doc don't want us down there," Clara said.
"To hell with that, I need to know if you do or not," I said.
"But Scott would be making the final call," Clara said.
"Yes," I said.
"Then We want to stay with them," Clara said.
"I will let him know," I said.
Then headed out.
(Scott POV)
"McCall to Chakotay," I said.
"Yes, Captain," Chakotay said.
"We've received the Transport," I said. "We'll check it over and let you know if we're missing anything,"
"We'll be here in orbit until I hear from you," Chakotay said. "After that, we can still remain in communication for 36 hours Maximum,"
"I'll contact you before the day is over," I said.
"Captain, There's one more thing, alone if you can," Chakotay said.
"Alright, Back in a minute, Ensign," I said then headed nearby the trees. "What is it, Chakotay,"
"Captain, I know the Doc said that he don't want them down with you, But both Clara and Chloe want to be with you," Chakotay said. "I checked with the Doc, He doesn't believe that they would be at risk, But we have no idea what is down there. So I guess this call is up to you weither they stay on Voyager or with you,"
"I think about it and get back to you when we checked the supplies. McCall out," I said.
Then headed back.
"It looks like they transported the contents of the whole ship," Lindsay said.
"We may have to be here for a while, Petri dishes, protein anaylzer, DNA sequencers, Everything we need for the research here," I said.
"But do you believe we can find a cure?" Lindsay said.
"It may take us a while but yes, I do, If we can find a specimen of the insect that infected us, we can begin analyzing protein cofactors, that might give us the information we need to find out what is in this environment that's keeping us from being sick and how to replicate it," I said.
"Does it matter which way these things go," Lindsay said.
"I guess if you're in a beige mood or a grey mood," I said.
"That's not much of a choice, Couldn't Starfleet have come up with something a little more cheerful," Lindsay said.
"Like polka dots," I said.
"I was thinking more of a tasteful pinstripe, Something in blues and greens, Well I suggest we put the grey on the outside and the beige inside," Lindsay said.
"Yeap," I said. "Actually it might be kind of interesting, roughing it for a while,"
"Roughing it," Lindsay said. "Let's see, We have shelter, furniture, research equipment, Tricorders, a replicator, It's too rough for me,"
"We don't have a bathtub," I said.
"A Bathtub?" Lindsay said.
"Okay sometimes I like Bathing. Its relaxing," I said.
"Captain, I'm sure you can learn to love the sonic shower," Lindsay said.
"You know, Lindsay, It occurs to me, We aren't exactly in a command structure anymore, Maybe you should call me Scott," I said.
"Give me a few days on that one, Okay?" Lindsay said.

After We checked in with everything.
"Captain, Have you made a decision about Clara and Chloe," Chakotay said.
"No, I can't take a chance, If the doc is wrong and they do. I can't that chance, Tell them, Tell them, Tell them I love them, and I'm sorry," I said.
"I will, We'll be departing in the morning," Chakotay said.
"Acknowledged," I said which only lasted for 2 hours when.
"McCall to McCall," Clara said.
"Yeah Clara," I said.
"Please rethink this," Clara said.
"I can't, I can't take the risk that it can affect you different. Just, Just look after yourselves okay," I said. "Take care of each other," As I could feel tears on my eyes.
"I will, We will, I look after my baby sister. Dad," Clara said.

"I'll look after Chloe, Dad I promise," Clara said.

It's been a day and Lindsay was checking the traps. Just in case.
"Anything?" I said.
"Just the same ones as yesterday. And they don't seem to carry the pathogen that's infected us," Lindsay said. "Where have you been?"
"In the woods," I said.
"Everyday when its my turn to check the traps you've been in there, Is something going on I should know about?" Lindsay said.
"Not yet, but," I said.
"But," Lindsay said.
"Okay it reminds me of home nearly," I said.
"What can you not give me a hint," Lindsay said.
"I'm building something," I said.
"Building? What could you be building?" Lindsay said. "And why can't you tell me?"
"You can't stand it can you?" I said.
"No," Lindsay said.
"You're like a little kid, Wheedling," I said.
"Chakotay to McCall," Chakotay said.

"We're about to move out of communications range, How are you faring?" Chakotay said.
"We're doing quite well, I'd like to speak to the crew now," I said.

"This is Scott McCall, I've never really liked saying goodbye, So I'll make this brief, But I want you all to know that serving as your captain has been the most extraordinary experience of my life, No captain could ask more than what this crew has given, Bravery, Compassion and strength of character, But I think what I'll miss most is the fun, The Times we joked together. The games on the holodeck, I'll remember the laughter more than anything, Although Ensign Ballard and I won't be with you for the rest of your journey, We know that you'll be the same steadfast crew for Commander Chakotay, As you have been for me, We wish you a safe and speedy journey home, Our thought will be with you. I will even go to say that this crew is came together best than any Captain could ask. Even I will go far as to say that you are family, Mainly the reason that I hate saying goodbye's. Computer, Transfer all command codes to Commander Chakotay. Authorization McCall Alpha 9 Charlie 6 Omega 47," I said.
"Command Codes transferred," Computer said.
"She's all yours now, Chakotay, Safe journey. McCall out," I said.
"Thank you Captain, Ensign, I am sure I speak for the entire crew when I say We will always remember your grace and courage, and I would like to add, It has been an honor serving with you, Even to say that we would always be family, Now Tuvok wanted to say a few words," Chakotay said.
"Captain, Ensign, I know the chances of us speaking again are slim. So I way say this. Live long and prosper," Tuvok said. Then it cut off.

"Scott McCall Personal log, Stardate 49690.1. Day 24 of our stay on the planet we've named New Earth, As yet, We've been unable to make any progress in finding a cure for our illness, but a soak in a tub that I built always helps both me and Lindsay to focus on possible solutions, End log," I said.
"Scott, are you there?" Lindsay said.
"No, I left an hour ago," I said.
"I was thinking, Maybe looking for protein cofactors is the wrong approach, Even if we can't find a specimen of the insect that infected us, We could try to learn something about the biomolecular evolution of this planet's ecosystem," Lindsay said.
"Can't hurt to that a try," I said.
"So you going to show me this new surprise or what," Lindsay said.
"It's not done yet, Plus I going more tomorrow any way," I said.
"Scott," Lindsay said.
"What?" I said.
"Someone's in the woods," Lindsay said.
I grab my phaser and tricorder and Headed out.
"Over there," Lindsay said whispering.
I lit my beacon and saw a monkey.
"It looks like some kind of primate," Lindsay said.
"I've detected primate life-signs here, But that's more of a monkey, Not to mention seen one," I said.
"Hello," Lindsay said. "Are you hungry? Is that why you came here? I'm Lindsay, He's Scott, We've had to move into your neighbourhood, But I hope we can be friends,"
Then It took off.
"Oh, Maybe he'll come back," Lindsay said.
"Looking for a pet?" I said.
"No, Looking for a clue about primate physiology on this planet, They must have to contend with insect bites, too," Lindsay said.
"Well, cuse me," I said heading back in.
Then was going to work on the work on the plans again.
"Maybe we should be out there lookin for other primates," Lindsay said. "We might be missing something important,"
"Lindsay the doc worked for weeks trying to find a treatment for this disease," I said.
"Yes," Lindsay said.
"We've been at it 12 hours a day, every day since we got here, and we're still no closer to a cure, Than we were the day we were infected," I said.
"What are you getting it," Lindsay said. "You mean quit, Give up,"
"No, we take a break for a bit then come back to it," I said.
"There may be a day when I'll come to that, Scott, but I'm a long way from it right now, We have to keep looking," Lindsay said.
(Chakotay POV)
"Acting Captain's log Supplemental, After 6 weeks the decision to leave Captain McCall and Ensign Ballard behind still seems to weight heavily on the crew, Not to mention Clara and Chloe hasn't talked to anyone since the captain was left behind. I know Tom has tried to talk with them but, They aren't letting anyone in, I can only hope, They will get through this, End log," Chakotay said then was on the Bridge as a console beeped
"Captain," Harry said.
"Yes, Ensign," I said.
"I'm picking up a convoy on long range sensors. It Vidiian, sir," Harry said.
"Distance," I said.
"Approximately 1.5 light years," Harry said.
"Lt, Alter course to a different heading, I don't want to risk their detecting us," I said.
"Sir, the Vidiians," Harry said.
"Yes," I said.
"They're within hailing range, We could ask them if they know anything about the Captain's illness," Harry said.
"The Captain told us not to risk contacting the Vidiians," I said.
"Yes, but it's not like we went out of our way to find them, We would be taking advantage of an opportunity that's presented itself," Harry said. "How can we turn our backs on this chance to do something? Don't we have to try? We own that to the Captain,"
"This matter is not open for discussion, Ensign," I said. "Return to your station,"
"Come on people what is wrong with the rest of you, You know I'm right," Harry said.
"Ensign," I said.
"We have a chance to help them, We can't just ignore that?" Harry said.
"Ensign either resume your station or leave the bridge," I said.
"You're making a mistake, How do you think Clara and Chloe are going to take this," Harry said as he left.
"Lt, Alter course," I said.
(Harry POV)
"Excuse me, Ensign Kim, Could we?" He said.
"Sure, Have a seat," I said.
"We just wanted you to know, We heard what happened on the bridge," She said.
"And we think you're absolutely right, We've got to contact the Vidiians," He said.
"It's a risk but it's worth it," She said.
"That's what I think, But Captain Chakotay made his decision, 2 Ensigns and a crewman won't chance this mind," I said.
"There are a lot more who agree with us," He said.
"A lot," She said.
"Really," I said.
"Everyone we talk to can't believe that Chakotay won't give this a try," He said.
Then I saw B'Elanna.
"Come on," I said going over and sat down. "Did you hear what happened this morning?"
"Sure did," B'Elanna said.
"3 Weeks ago, you said if I had an idea about what to do, you'd listen," I said.
"I'm listening," B'Elanna said.
"Is there something going on That I should know about?" Neelix said.
"Have a seat Neelix, We might have come up with the biggest morale booster you could possibly imagine," I said.
(Chakotay POV)
I was in the ready room looking over some reports when the door bell rang.
"Come in," I said then Clara was the one to come in and just as the close closed up tight.
"What the hell are you playing at? We had a chance to get them back, And you just sat there doing the one thing that Dad would never do that, If that was you on that Planet and Dad was here what do you think he would do, He would risk it, Even I would too," Clara said. "Either you do something, Or I bloody well," Then left.

After a few hours I was still looking at them but I went down to my quarters. Where the door bell rang again.
"Come in," I said.
Harry walked in.
"Could I have a moment, sir," Harry said.
"It's 1 in the morning, Ensign, Don't you have the early shift this morning?" I said.
"Yes, sir, But this is important," Harry said.
"Very well," I said.
"First of all, I want to apologize for my behaviour on the Bridge yesterday," Harry said.
"Accepted," I said.
"I'd like to suggest a plan, It's something a lot of people have helped to develop," Harry said.
"Is this how Clara heard about what happened?" I said.
"What," Harry said.
"She come in and let's just say gave me hell, Not happy with my call," I said.
"I don't know how she heard, No one has seen them for the last 3 weeks, But we have 2 big bargaining points when it comes to dealing with the Vidiians, First, There's the woman doc treated, Danara Pel, They were very close, So I'm sure she'd help us if she could, For what we did for her. Then there's B'Elanna, Her DNA Might lead to a cure for the Phage, Maybe even slow it down for more time. We could offer them some in exchange for their help With the Cure for the Captain and Lindsay," Harry said.
"Those are points in our favor, But there also the fact that we were recently responsible for the destruction of a Vidiian ship an act which killed over 300 of their people, That alone makes it stupid for us to contact them," I said.
"I hate to say this, But in my mind when that happened we made it quick for them dying. Not a slow and painful death. I know it's not for Starfleet to say that, But. You should know how many people on this ship disagree with you, Everyone I talked to thinks we should give this a try, At least to communicate with them," Harry said.
"The people you talked to don't have the responsibility of commanding this ship, I do," I said.
"We're willing to take that risk in order to help them, Just think about this, What when Chloe is grown up enough to know we had the chance to bring her Dad back and we did nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if she do something to us for it. At least think about it not for the Captain, This crew, For them, How they would take this," Harry said. Then Headed for the door. "I just hope you can choose right, At least think what the Captain would do if it was one of us back on that planet, Would he risk it for us, If we were all willing. Excuse me," Then left.
(Scott POV)
I was getting ready to head.
"I'm going to check the insect traps in Beta 4, oh, what are you up to now," Lindsay said.
"Making headboards," I said.
"Head boards," Lindsay said.
"I know how something we like to read in bed, This makes it a bit more comfortable back rest for that," I said.
"Scott, This makes thing a bit easier, Even the cooking," Lindsay said.
"Cooking sometimes made me feel better. But what I do to makes things better makes you uncomfortable, Doesn't it," I said. "Every time I do something that add a personal touch to that place, you just resist it,"
"Sometimes it feels as though you've given up about getting to Voyager again to them," Lindsay said.
"I want to get home to them, But we may never leave here, So Yes, I'm trying to make a home here, Something that's more than a plain grey box," I said.
"Someday I maybe have to let go, But not today," Lindsay said. "I tried a new glucose bait in the tapes, I have a feeling this might be the day I make a breakthrough,"
Then Once I finished and managed to get it on then the Tricorder picked up. There was a storm on it.
Then I went to call her but she left her combadge.
"Damn it," I said.
Taking off trying to find her.
"LINDSAY!" I shouted. "LINDSAY WHERE ARE YOU?" Then I saw her. "Lindsay, you okay," I said.
"Yes, I lost my balance and Carry the case," Lindsay said.
"Give it to me," I said taking it and then we headed back.
"What's happening?" Lindsay said.
"It seems to be some Plasma storm the Tricorders went mad when it picked it thing for sure it's picking a wallop," I said.
As we headed back there and managed to get in.
(Chakotay POV)
I was in my ready room when the door bell rang.
"Come in," I said and Kes walked in.
"Do you have a moment?" Kes said.
"Of Course," I said.
"I'd like to talk to you about my father," Kes said.
"Your Father?" I said.
"He was a very wise man, More than anyone he shaped the person I am, If it hadn't been for him, I would never questioned my people's beliefs, I would never left our city. Never have met any of you," Kes said.
"Then we owe him a debt," I said. "It's difficult to imagine this journey without you,"
"When he died, I had just turned 1 year old, I didn't know how I'd get through the rest of my life without him, Then I started working with everyone here so I didn't miss him so much anymore," Kes said.
"And," I said.
"As Captain, the well-being of your crew is important to you," Kes said.
"Of course," I said.
"Their emotional well being as well as their physical safety?" Kes said.
"I cannot allow myself myself to become hostage to their feelings," I said.
"Chakotay they are suffering because of this, Clara and Chloe are more worse maybe you don't know what that's like. Not for them," Kes said.
"If you are suggesting that I am not sensitive to the situation, nothing could be further from the truth, I have lost a valued friend," I said. "I'm not immune to the effects of that loss,"
"Then try to imagine what it's like for those of us, More including Clara and Chloe Their feelings a lot more deeply, I have been trying to help them but nothing is working. They want him back. Or being there with him. A lot of the crew are on the bridge, hoping you'll talk to them, You lost a valued friend. For Tuvok, He has lost more than one valued friend. One that died the journey here after being pulled from the Badlands, Now he has lost another one to a Virus, But he isn't Immune to it as everyone else thinks," Kes said. "I don't know how to help them,"
Then we headed out.
"None of you can appreciate what it means to be in command of a ship until that responsibility rests squarely on your shoulders as it does on mine, It has been suggested that I take an action, Which is disobeying an order, and more than knowingly put this crew into a life threatening situation, In general, It demonstrates faulty leadership to be guided by the emotions of a distraught crew. But As Captain, I must not ignore the sensibilities of those I command. We will contact the Vidiians, This is my decision and mine alone, You are all absolved of responsibility in the matter, The consequences which may incur is mine alone. Lt, Set a course for the Vidiian convoy. Ensign let me know when we're within hailing range. Let's do this, Tuvok Ready weapons and shield just in case," I said.
(Scott POV)
We made it back to the shelter. It was still going mad.
It finally stop and we went to check outside.
"Let's check outside, Maybe some of the insect traps are still intact," I said.
Then We went out.
"None of this is salvageable either, There's no way we can continue with the research," Lindsay said.
And not where to get home. "Not to mention no way to get home," I said.
"Well, that's one way of letting go," Lindsay said.
(Chakotay POV)
"Captain's log Stargate 49694.2. We have contacted the Vidiian Convoy with encouraging results, They have promised to communicate with Dr. Danara Pel, And ask if she will help us, End log," I said.
Then I went out to the Bridge.
"Sir, the Vidiians are hailing us," Harry said.
"On screen," I said.
"Hello Commander," Pel said.
"Doctor Pel, I didn't expect to see you this quickly," I said.
"When I heard what happened. I boarded the first ship I could, Tell me about this illness," Pel said.
"They were infected by a virus after being bitten by insects on a planet approximately 70 light years from here in a system with a Yellow dwarf star," I said.
"The 3rd Planet in a system of 7?" Pel said.
"Yes," I said.
"I know it well, There's a particular kind of burrowing insect that carried the disease, Years ago we developed an antiviral agents to combat it," Pel said.
"Can we get some from you?" I said.
"Of course, Our captain said we could rendezvous with you, He's transmitted the coordinates," Pel said.
"I have them, Sir," Harry said.
"Thank you Doctor, We appreciate your help," I said.
"I'm glad I can be of assistance," Pel said. As it cut off.
"Estimated time to the coordinates," I said.
"Approximately 20 hours," Harry said.
"Until then, Tuvok Start running a series of battle drills, I want to be ready in case they have set a trap," I said.
"Aye sir," Tuvok said.
(Scott POV)
Back at the Shelter I started to try and fix up the place.
"I've been thinking, There's plenty of wood available here, I could probably add it to what I've been working on. Hopeful it will stop those storms," I said. "Get us a little more living space,"
"How would you mill it?" Lindsay said.
"I could do a certain amount with a phaser, But I'll show you," I said.
"Finally," Lindsay said. "When I was young,"
"You are still mostly," I said.
"My parents took us on backpacking trips, They thought we should all keep a connection to our pioneer roots, I hated it, No bed, No replicator," Lindsay said.
"No bathtub," I said.
"No Bathtub, I guess I was always a child of the 24th century," Lindsay said.
"Well maybe those camping trips helped prepare you for life here," I said.
"Oh, no, Life here is much better than that," Lindsay said.
"That's the first time I've heard you say anything positive about being here," I said.
"Well, hello there," Lindsay said.
"Alright Kenobi," I said.
"I haven't seen you in a while, Where have you been?" Lindsay said.
"Do you expect him to answer you?" I said.
"Not really, I just sense intelligence in him, and I could swear he came to warn me about the plasma storm," Lindsay said. "Come here, fella, Come on,"
"I doubt that he can be domesticated at least not very easily," I said.
"Well, we have plenty of time," Lindsay said. "The rest of our lives,"
"Damn. That's a long time," I said. "At least I hope so,"
"Well, I know I couldn't give you orders to begin with," Lindsay said.
"Then Shut up, and let's get back to work," I said.
Then we were working on the stuff when Lindsay groans.
"I guess I'm not used to that kind of work," Lindsay said. "My knots are getting knots,"
"Here, Let me help," I said. Then Started to message her neck.
"Oh, that's feels good," Lindsay said.
"I've had a lot of practice at this, Mum would come home from work with sore necks all the time, She only trusted me not to make it worse," I said.
"That's much better, Thank you, Well, I'm going to go to bed now, I'll see you in the morning," Lindsay said.
"Night, Lindsay," I said.
"Yes, you too," Lindsay said heading into her room.
Then I went near mine and saw the photo I had of my Pack. I missed them. What I would give to be back there and then with them right now.
But I wasn't ready for sleep so I managed to get into the plans again and started planning the next part.
(Chakotay POV)
I was on the bridge as we were at Impulse. Then Harry console beeped.
"Got something, Vidiian ship bearing 325 mark 5," Harry said.
"Hail them," I said.
"They aren't Responding, Trying on alternating frequencies," Harry said.
"I'm reading a second ship 177 Mark 5," Tom said.
"I've got it, Now a third," Harry said.
"They're surrounding us," Tom said.

While I was working. Lindsay came out.
"We have to talk about this," Lindsay said.
"All right," I said.

"Define parameters, About us, Lindsay there is no us, I know this guy he, he was pissed at this woman who trapped his family in the basement of his home, Barricaded it. Then Lit the whole place on fire, He wanted payback on them for years, Till there was a time when he though he was the only person left of his family. But he wasn't, So how his young sister managed to get out and she ran, and ran, and ran, and ran. All the way till she got caught by another group which wanted her brother territory for their own. So they took held her hostage all that time, Then they finally found each other again but someone who wasn't going to sit back and let that happen helped them stop them, All but one was dead, The leader, Which that person gave a warning. That if he tried to do this again, The next time, He would be dead first," I said.
"Do you know of that guys name," Lindsay said.
"Deucalion," I said. "It means Demon Wolf,"
(Chakotay POV)
The Vidiians started to shot at us.
"Return fire, All phasers banks," I said.
"Aft shields down to 59%," Harry said.
"Keep firing all phasers keep firing till you hit something, Tuvok," I said.
Then We got hit again.
"Aft shields down to 47%, Chakotay there's too many of them," Tom said.
"Harry Bring ZPM1 online and put it to the Shields," I said
"It's online Aft Shields at 80%" Harry said.
"Tuvok Load Torpedo bays," I said.
"Torpedoes Armed," Tuvok said.
"Fire #1," I said. "Report,"
"They're still coming," Tom said.
"Torpedoes high yields," I said.
"Ready," Tuvok said.
"Fire," I said.
Then we got hit again.
"Chakotay to Engineering," I said.
"Go ahead, Chakotay," B'Elanna said.
"B'Elanna listen carefully, I need antimatter storage container ready eject right behind us," I said.
"I got you, Chakotay, On it," B'Elanna said.
"Sickbay to Bridge," Doc said.
"Doctor, we are kind of busy up here," I said.
"Dr. Pel is on one of Vidiian ships, If we can drop our shields briefly, we can beam aboard them serum," Doctor said.
"Keep this channel open Doctor. When you hear me order the Shields down you must complete a site to site Transport yourself, We will be busy with the Vidiians," I said.
"Understood," Doctor said.
"Bridge to Engineering, B'Elanna status," I said.
"We are ready to eject the antimatter container," B'Elanna said.
"Stand by for my command, Here is how we are going to do this, We will drop shields to transport the medicine, At the same time, The antimatter container will be ejected. As soon as it's clear, Tuvok will detonate it with a torpedo. At the same Time, Tom will jump to full impulse, so that we will not take the brunt of the explosion, Everyone clear on this, We are only to get one shot, So let's make it count, Understood," I said.
"Understood," Tom said.
"Aye sir," Tuvok said.
"We're ready down here, Chakotay," B'Elanna said.
"Doctor," I said.
"I've set up the make the transport," Doctor said.
"Stand ready then, Harry Polarize hull Plating," I said.
"Done," Harry said.
"Lower shields," I said.
"Initiating transport," Doctor said.
"Ejecting the antimatter container, Now," B'Elanna said.
"Bridge, We got it, Raise Shields," Doctor said.
"Shields up," I said. "Tom, Tuvok Do it,"
"Firing torpedo," Tuvok said.
"Going to full impulse," Tom said.
"Report," I said.
"The Vidiian ships are all disabled, Sir, they aren't pursuing," Harry said.
"Warp Engines ready to go," Tom said.
"Set the planet where we left the Captain and Ensign Ballard, Maximum warp," I said.
"Aye sir," Tom said. "Ready,"
"Engage," I said.
As we went to Warp.
(Scott POV)
I was just finished.
And I was headed back.
"How are they coming," I said.
"Very nicely," Lindsay said. "What about you?"
"Done," I said.
"Can I see it," Lindsay said.
"Maybe," I said.
"We should have vine ripened Talaxian tomatoes in a couple of months," Lindsay said. "Unless this planet has the equivalent of tomato bugs, Oh they're awful,"
"I would never have thought of you as a gardener," I said.
"Hmm, I grew up around farmers," Lindsay said. "My Parents insisted we learn some basic gardening skills,"
"So did Kathryn's." I said. "She hated that as much as camping,"
"Me too, Who wanted to muck around in the dirt when you could be studying quantum mechanics?" Lindsay said.
"Me," I said.
"But I find it very satisfying now," Lindsay said. "Watching the seeds sprout and grow,"
"If your tomatoes could spare you for a minute, I'd like your opinion on something," I said.
"You've come to the right person, I always have an opinion," Lindsay said.
"Really," I said. "What you think?"
"A boat," Lindsay said.
"You said you wanted to explore the river," I said. "I think I can build this, Plus it would be right where I happened to build a house, Well more of a cabin,"
"We could go on a camping trip," Lindsay said.
"We can't fit a bathtub in it," I said.
"We have the water," Lindsay said.
Then there was a muffled noise.
"Do you hear that?" Lindsay said.
"Yeap," I said.
"Chakotay to Captain McCall, Do you read me?" Chakotay said. "This is Chakotay calling Captain McCall and Ensign Ballard, Please respond,"
"Go ahead," I said.
"Captain, It's good to hear your voice, We have news," Chakotay said.
"What is it?" I said.
"We have medicine which we believe will effectively treat your condition, We plan to be in orbit within 30 hours," Chakotay said.
"Acknowledged," I said. "Guess we're going home,"

We were out front after we finishing packing everything and Back into our uniforms.
"Ready?" Lindsay said.
"Damn right," I said.
"There you are," Lindsay said. "At least I get to say good bye, Feel free to use the house,"
"Ready," I said.
"Yes sir," Lindsay said.
"McCall to Voyager, 2 to beam up," I said then we were beamed to sickbay and the Doctor and Kes both used it on us.
"There you are Captain, Just let me scan the both of you," Doc said.
"Where did you get it?" I said.
"The Vidiians," Doctor said. "We were passing by and managed to get hold of Dr. Pel. She supplied us with this,"
"Well," I said.
"Both you and Ensign Ballard are cured, Captain," Doc said. "You are able to Resume your duties,"
Then Lindsay left.
As did the Doctor.
"How's Clara and Chloe," I said.
"You find out," Kes said. "See you tonight,"
Then I went up to the Bridge.
"Welcome back Captain," Chakotay said.
"I though you agreed contacting the Vidiians was a bad move," I said.
"I know but, Would you of done the same for any one of us if that happened to us," Chakotay said.
"To be honest maybe, Maybe not," I said.
"Just one more thing, Captain, Computer Transfer all Command codes back to Captain Scott McCall, Authorization Chakotay Alpha 9 Charlie 6 Omega 47," Chakotay said.
"Authorization accepted, Command codes transferred," Computer said.
"Now You are fully back," Chakotay said. "And ready to accept any consequences for that,"
"Maybe another, But It's good to be home. We've lost time with all this, Let see if we can make it up. Tom Go to Maximum warp," I said.
"Aye captain," Tom said.
"Commander, Review the ships systems, Propulsion, Environmental, communication Sensors, Weapons and Transporters," I said.
"Aye Captain, I'll have a report for you at 1900 hours," Chakotay said.
"Check with Phaser maintenance too, See if they solved that problem with the prefire chamber temperature," I said.
"Yes sir, I'll see to it," Chakotay said.

After the duty shift was over I head to my Quarters where as soon as I got in.
"Dad," Clara said. Throwing herself at me hugging me tight. As did Chloe. "Daddy,"
"Hey kiddos, I'm back," I said.
"Good, I missed you too," Kes said.
Coming over and Hugged and kissed me.
"Me too," I said.
Which was when we went and ate before getting ready for bed and This time all of us was in my bed. basically, Kes and me in the inside and Clara and Chloe next to us.
