"So, Ash, you know," Hilda began, looking down and shuffling her feet. "Since we used to play a lot together when we were in preschool, and were such close friends, you wouldn't be interested in perhaps... allowing me to tag along on your journey with you?"
Hilary couldn't help but inwardly giggle at Hilda's demeanor as she asked this.
Hilda looked back up at Ash, awaiting his response. To her pleasant surprise, he was actually very quick to respond.
"Sure! I've always thought that it would be nicer to travel along with a friend," Ash said to her. "I'm leaving tomorrow morning though."
"That's okay, so am I!" Hilda answered.
"You wouldn't mind if Ash and Hilda traveled together, do you, Delia?" Hilary asked Delia, just to be sure.
"Of course not," Delia replied with a smile.
"Well then, Hilda and I will come by the lab tomorrow morning and... we can send our kids off," Hilary said.
"Sounds good," Delia said with a nod. "Take care."
"Bye!" Hilary and her daughter said together before the screen went black.
Delia then turned to face her son. She gave off a sigh.
"Ash, tomorrow, you finally start your Pokémon journey here in Unova, and you even will have your old preschool friend traveling along with you." Delia began to tear up. "I'm so proud of you..."
Delia allowed just a moment to let her emotions run. She then put her arm around Ash and gently began guiding him back towards the kitchen.
"Come on. Let's get back to our dinner."
