Merlin pulled Arthur behind him, his staff in his hand. There is no way in hell that he is going to allow Uther close to Arthur.

Balinor pushed himself up, his voice was deceitfully calm. "Who gave you the right to burst into my meetings?" Only his eyes betrayed how furious he truly was.

Uther glared at the other king. "The fact that you have my son." His voice was harsh. Arthur crimped into himself.

"Your son is legally married to Merlin, so you have no business here." Balinor kept a hand on the hilt of his sword. He had a feeling that something is going to happen. The fact that he could feel Merlin's magic buzzing in the air, just ten folded that feeling.

"You had no right to take him from his first husband." Uther was foaming. He had heard from the other king what had transpired. He was a little bit ashamed of himself, but Arthur should have gone back to Camelot, not to Mercia.

The buzzing in the air got louder. "You mean to tell me, he should have been left there, beaten and raped day in and out?" Merlin forced himself to take a breath, trying to temper his magic down slightly.

"Yes. He had a duty to his husband. It wouldn't have killed him." Uther glared at the prince. He could see his son trying to almost hide behind him. Pathetic. "He is nothing more than an omega, his place is to rear children and kept the house right and work in the fields."

Balinor grabbed his son's collar before he could leap and attack Uther.

"I suggest you leave, you are not welcome in Mercia, there would be no more trade going down with Camelot until you are removed from the throne." Balinor's voice was deadly. With a nod, four guards turned to Uther.

They were all alphas and they were horrified with what he had said.

Merlin had turned to Arthur, letting him hide in his chest. He could feel how Arthur was shaking, it was like there was an earthquake trapped inside him.

Arthur forced himself to breath, to hear those words from Uther had shaken him up. Merlin picked Arthur up.

With a nod to his father, Merlin took Arthur back to their chambers. When he got there, he sank onto the bed. Just allowing Arthur to cry it out. He could feel tears soaking up in his tunic. He didn't try to hush him or tell him everything would be okay.

He just allowed Arthur to cry, giving him comfort in the form of a small rocking motion and holding him.

Uther glared as the guards stood still on the dock, he could see some servants from Camelot prepping to return home.

With a huff, he got on board. He made his way down to the lower levels, there was a cruel smirk on his face.

He would get Arthur back one way or another. The man looked up when Uther stop in front of his door.

His eyes were dark and there was scarring around his left eye. The grin he gave Uther, would make a lesser man run like the wind to getaway.

"I have a job for you." Uther's voice was hard, as he looked at the assassin.

"Who?" The man's voice was low and gravelly.

"Kidnapped Arthur Pendragon and kill whoever gets in your way." Uther handed him a coin pouched. Half upfront like they had agreed in Camelot.

He didn't want it to go this far, but he knows that he wouldn't get Arthur back any other way.

Arthur's breathing was starting to even out, ever now and then Merlin could hear him sniffle, but it sounded like he was starting to calm down.

Merlin waited patiently until Arthur was ready to face the world again. He could admit that he was also upset about what had happened.

"Merls?" Arthur's voice was hoarse. Merlin immediately gave him some water to drink. He knows that Arthur would have a headache.

When he was sure that Arthur had a stable hand on the tankard. He pulled back slightly. Arthur's face was pale, and his eyes puffy.

After he drank the water, Merlin put the tankard down on the table.

"I'm sorry." Arthur's voice was soft. Merlin could hear the shame and guilt in Arthur's voice.

"Darling, this isn't your fault, you are not responsible for the actions your father had taken. You don't need to feel guilty about what has happened." Merlin was firm. He knows that Arthur tended to think everything that goes wrong is his fault.

There was silence in the room for a while. "Can we go for a walk please?" Arthur's voice was low. The walls felt like they were pressing in on him, and he just wanted to get away for a while.

"Of course darling." Merlin tightened his arms for a moment before he allowed Arthur to stand up.
