(General P.O.V.) -Some minutes before Logan's fateful talk with the Sultan-
It's a beautiful day in the city of Neverland within the Evening Star, and many, many beings went about their business, unknowing how today is important to the council deep inside the domed, towered building.
Evangeline sighed softly in relief, "Logan proved to be a challenge for these tests, and he has succeeded well.". A snort echoed through the air, "I don't blame him about facing the princess's father...I would be freaking out if I was meeting Rapunzel's father...", revealing Eugene as he sat casually in one of the well-carved chairs around the council's table.
Ferdinand chuckled warmly, "Indeed. Kabir dearly loves Jasmine, and he seems quite anxious to meet Logan, especially with the fact that Logan is of a different race, wondering about Logan's people's traditions of marriage since Agrabah traditions are quite different.".
Snow White smiled softly, "Don't forget that Logan is smitten with Jasmine quite reverently. After seeing Jafar's horrific actions, it is no mystery why Jasmine would prefer Logan as he's a gentleman of honor.". A laugh came out warmly, "My dear son always listened to my advice, and I am so proud of him for doing so. I and my husband would never know of Logan's new life if it wasn't for you, Eva.".
Evangeline smiled warmly, "You're very much welcome, Deborah. Bringing you two here is something I could do as you are spirits, through I must admit that bringing spirits across into the portal is far easier than mortal bodies.". Tinkerbell ringed in, "My dear sisters said that winter is still going strong, yet it is far more wild in Arendelle due to Elsa's magic and Hans' terrible takeover.".
Merlin hummed thoughtfully, "Well, I have to say that hiding that ring wasn't one of my brightest ideas...Archimedes and Sid both were right...I should have destroyed it in the first place...". A hand patted Merlin's shoulder, "It's okay, Merlin. Perhaps bringing freedom to Arendelle is part of Logan's destiny, and I wouldn't mind having him as a son-in-law.", revealing a woman in teal robes and wings, having arrived with Kabir a hour earlier.
She looks much like her daughter, Jasmine, yet individually different from her in some ways. She has dark hazel eyes, her skin is almost like almond brown, and her long black hair, luxurious and curly, is a shade lighter, like coal black. This is the Sultana, Aisha.
She had died when Jasmine was 4 years old, and she was shocked to find out that she was poisoned by Jafar, having used one of the odorless, tasteless, clear ones on her, and Kabir assumed that Aisha had a sudden heart attack out of nowhere, which was suggested by Jafar, the sly bastard he was.
Of course, since then, she has observed everything that has happened, and even with meeting Aladdin in the spiritual plane as he couldn't be fully here for his mortal body is too far from the continent of Enchantia, she wanted Jasmine to be happy again especially after Kabir was killed by Jafar.
Eugene nodded lightly in agreement, "Sounds about right. And hey, maybe Logan would destroy the ring. After all, a Night Fury's dive blast is far stronger than a dragon of Mushu's lineage's fire is.". Evangeline spoke, "Logan has to do the oath, but first, I believe Kabir is to talk with him now.", causing all the people in the chamber room to look down upon the glass mirror table which is showing the spiritual plane, revealing Kabir and Logan.
-At the bridge of the spiritual plane-
Kabir glanced at Logan with a thoughtful smile, "So, you are the young man who is smitten with my daughter.", as Logan bowed before him. Logan looked at him with a nod, "Yes, your majesty. I seek your permission to court Jasmine for I truly love her for who she is. I am willing to wait for her answer once I confess my feelings to her one day sooner or later.".
Kabir chuckled, "I and my dear wife has watched our Jasmine upon our deaths, and I must say that you are truly different than Aladdin, but you love her all the same.". Logan smiled lightly, "Who wouldn't? She's family-orientated, loyal to friends, stubbornly brave, incredibly sassy, and also that she's self-confident with her beauty, inside and outside, with help, of course...".
Kabir nodded somberly, "Yes, Jafar and Gaston tried to break her spirit, but she somehow got through, and now she's getting stronger, becoming her old self again, thanks to you.". Logan heavily sighed, "I know it was all a test, but it felt real, and I know it was a similar situation to Jasmine's ordeal, through I am extremely grateful that she never experienced that damn horrible thing which Pippa almost did against her will...".
Kabir looked a bit outraged, "No one should go through that! I have seen such sights with those monstrous goblins and everything!". Logan blinked lightly in surprise as he heard the anger, but he didn't blame him as honestly, Kabir's right.
The darkness within the continent is truly powerful, and is consuming everything in their path, but Logan realized that he and his friends are needed to help the innocent people who is caught up in this terrible war.
Logan smiled reassuringly, "Don't worry, sire, I and my friends are determined to bring peace back to Enchantia, and if Jasmine wants in, well, I ain't stopping her. After all, she sure got a nasty right hook!", grinning slightly as he momentarily remembered Jasmine's punch upon Gaston when he shrieked high-pitched upon the bashing of his balls from Logan's heeled boot, some minutes before falling to his death, thanks to Pippa.
Kabir laughed softly, "I was damn proud of her when she did that, and my wife was so proud, nearly crying when she sang on the stage. And I recognized that look in your eyes, of course. I was the same with my wife when I first came to know her. So, you can be sure that we have seen every moment you've interacted with Jasmine, and I can say that you're the kind of man I can have in my family.".
Logan stared at Kabir in shock and hope, "Are you saying...that I can court her?". Kabir chuckled heartily, "You have my wife's blessing, and also mine as well. I only wish I would be physically there for her wedding, but I trust you to take care of her, Logan Valkara.".
Logan smiled brightly, "I love Jasmine, and I will tell her that you said hi.". Kabir grinned widely, "That makes my heart happy. And to warn you, I am a hugger!", and to prove so, he came forward and hugged Logan heartily, squeezing Logan tightly for a few moments as he breathed for air, patting Kabir's back warmly, half grinning and half grimacing as even if he's in the spiritual plane, he can tell that his physical body is somewhat sore from all the action through the tests.
Kabir pulled back with a warm smile, "I wish you all the luck when the moment comes, Logan. Jasmine is free to make her choice, but I am pleased to know that she will be happy with you.". Logan nodded with a smile, "Thank you, your majesty.".
Kabir chuckled softly, "I am not the Sultan anymore. Call me Kabir.", and then a bell rung out in the distance across the bridge, "Ah, our talk is ending. I must head home to my wife, Aisha. I've been away long enough. And by the way, we are pretty much best friends with your parents. They are happy for you, and they adore Jasmine.".
Logan widened his eyes in surprise, and then smiled, "I am glad to hear that, Kabir. I shall never forget this, thank you.". Kabir nodded lightly, "You're very much welcome, Logan. Goodbye, son.", and Logan exhaled sharply at that, fully realizing that Kabir has spoken true about Logan being part of his family now, watching Kabir sprint across the bridge to vanish into the mist beyond.
Logan smiled as he turned around, walking back to Esmeralda who had been waiting a reasonable distance away, "You okay, Logan?". Logan looked at her with a content smile, "More than okay. I have never felt this good than now since ever. Shall we get going? I am ready to do the oath.".
Esmeralda gave a blinding smile, "No wonder why Power chose you, Logan Valkara.", and Logan feels humbled, only smiling lightly upon the comment as it's a huge thing for him, having felt somehow complete now since he parted ways with Kabir, and is anxious to reunite with Jasmine soon.
