While Katherine was very mild in her interactions with the team so far, that changed once Sylvester showed up. She wanted the others to witness it so she took Cabe, Sylvester and Walter to the living room of the loft and read them the riot act. "I can not begin to tell each one of you how disappointed I am at your actions. I can't even begin to imagine how you could think what any of you did was somehow okay in my eyes, let alone the eyes of the law. What would you be doing right now if I wasn't who I am?" She poked Sylvester in the chest with her finger. "You'd be in cuffs awaiting trial."

She turned her anger towards Walter. "And you." She poked him as well. "I went to bat for you with the President to show how valuable you were and how you aided the Secret Service in straightening out the vote tampering and got you your citizenship. Do you know how this would make me look and how it could impact my life and career if it was found out? You could be sitting in INS right now waiting on your flight back to Ireland with your citizenship revoked and a permanent ban on ever returning. How would you like that? They could even flag your family so they couldn't leave the states to join you. Is that what you want?"

And then she turned to Cabe and the coloring of her face took on shades they couldn't even begin to describe. "And you cowboy. You know I have given you and your team so much latitude because regardless to the disasters Homeland has had to clean up behind them I believe it would have been so much worse if we hadn't have had you working on the cases. I can not even begin to imagine how what you did is justified in your mind. This better never happen again!" She poked Cabe in the chest three times in a row.

She looked at all three. "Have I made myself clear?"

While Sylvester was very vocal in an affirmative Cabe and Walter kind of mumbled theirs. "I didn't hear you." Katherine almost screamed.

"Yes Ma'am." All three said loudly.

Katherine smiled and almost instantly the colors of her face returned to normal. She winked. "Have a great day Scorpion." She turned and walked over to the stairs but was stopped by Paige and she hugged for a moment and then both ladies smiled at each other and nodded. Katherine moved down the stairs and left the Garage.

"Well that wasn't pleasant." Walter said mildly as he turned to walk back to fix Ralph's breakfast. He stopped and put his hand on Ralph's shoulder. "What would you like for breakfast?"

Ralph frowned. "Did you really think I had done something to hurt Drew?"

Walter froze for a moment and then he shook his head. "While I had calculated a slight chance you had done it, I didn't think you had. But I still took steps to ensure had you done it, no one would be able to prove it." Walter sat on the back of the love seat making them eye to eye. "But remember, even if you had I would be there for you. You are my son and you will never stand alone. I'll always be there for you, as your protector, your confidant, your guide, your research partner."

Ralph smiled and hugged him. "Thanks Dad."

As they broke their hug Ralph felt someone poke the top of his shoulder and he sighed as he turned around to face his Mother. "Okay, so what did you do that you thought we found out about?"

Ralph took in a deep breath. "I hacked my way in to see Drew while he was still in Homeland's custody."

Paige's face showed the shock. "You did WHAT?"

Ralph was pretty sure she wasn't really asking for him to repeat what he said. "I'm sorry. I just needed to see him face to face and find out why he chose to do what he did."

Toby stepped over. "Ah and it was his answer that has been bothering you the last couple of days wasn't it?" Toby pointed at him. "Don't try to wiggle out of it, I saw that tell."

Paige looked back at Toby and then back to Ralph. "Ralph, is Toby right? Did Drew say something to you that has been bothering you?"

Ralph slowly nodded as he looked back at his Dad. "He said he wanted to make you and I feel hurt like he hurt because of us."

Paige pulled Ralph into a tight hug. "Baby, do not even begin to put yourself into that. Drew did what he did because he is nothing more than a selfish."

"Paige." Walter said loudly to stop her from finishing what he was sure she was going to call him. Even still he moved up and wrapped his arms around them both.

Paige smiled at him. "Fine, I won't finish it."

As they broke their hugs Walter looked over at the table and shook his head. "You're breakfast is ruined. "I'll need to cook you more eggs. I'm sure those won't be as good reheated."

Paige smiled as she caressed his jaw with her left hand. Suddenly her eyes went wide and she pushed past them and ran for the bathroom.

Everyone but Sylvester smiled. Sylvester turned and moved quickly for the stairs. "I'll be at my desk he said as he hurried down the steps."

Everyone began laughing.

As Walter moved over to make Ralph some breakfast Toby sat on the back of the loveseat and looked at him. "That was pretty rough what Drew did to you buddy. I think you'll be okay since that is what hurt you but if you do want to talk to me about it I'll be more than happy to help you with it."

Ralph smiled. "Thanks Toby, I appreciate it."

Cabe stepped in and started to pour a cup of coffee when Toby coughed. Cabe looked back and saw him shake his head. "What's wrong with the coffee?"

Walter smiled. "It's decaffeinated Cabe. Toby was extremely upset about it."

Cabe smiled and sat the pot back down. "I'll go downstairs and make a fresh pot." Cabe turned and went downstairs.

As Ralph sat down at the table Walter suddenly looked at him. "Wait, when you went to see Drew, is that what you really did that morning you wanted an excuse note for your two first classes?"

Happy grinned looking at the look on Ralph's face. "Oh man, busted."

"Can I plead the fifth on that Dad?" Ralph almost begged.

Walter stepped over to him and looked at him. Ralph looked up at him with sorrowful eyes and Walter tried to his best to look mad but those eyes he inherited from his Mom were cutting Walter deeply. Several times Walter opened his mouth to speak but Ralph would bat his long eyelash lids a little and Walter kept crumbling. Finally his shoulders slumped. "Fine, but don't lie to me again, tell me the truth."

Happy grinned and then laughed. "What a wimp."

Walter glared at her for a moment. "Wait a few years and we'll see how you deal with it."

Happy just lolled her tongue out and laughed for a moment. Suddenly her eyes took on a puzzled look and then they opened wide as she turned as she dashed for the stairs and slid down the banister of the stairs and ran for the back of the Garage to the restroom.

Toby kind of chuckled.

Ralph looked at him. "What's so funny?"

They could faintly hear Paige in their bathroom throwing up and Toby pointed towards the sound. "Happy's morning sickness has begun."

Sylvester sat at his desk with his eyes closed and his fingers in his ears trying to block out Happy as she got sick.

Walter pulled out his phone and connected to the Garage's server and clicked a file. Suddenly the intercom system turned on and they could hear this strange music playing.

Toby frowned even as Ralph began nodding his head keeping time to it. Toby noticed Walter was doing the same. "What the hell is this?" Toby asked as he continued to frown.

Ralph looked at him almost in pity. "It is a numerical expression in fractal geometry put to sound. Mathematically it is exceedingly intriguing. Right now Sylvester is being serenaded and therefore naturally blocking out the sound of Happy getting sick. That was a great idea Dad."

Walter smiled. "Thanks, I figured it might be the best way of dealing with it concerning Sylvester."

Toby still didn't care for it that much. It almost sounded like screeching to him. "When did you do this?"

Walter grinned. "I started working on it the other day when you told us Happy was pregnant."

Toby held up his finger. "Just a point of clarification 197, I just bought lunch, it was Happy who let it out of the bag so to speak."

Ralph grinned. "When Happy gets done throwing up we can ask her about that."

Cabe stepped back upstairs from getting the coffee going in Garage kitchen.

Toby held his hands out and shook his head. "No, you never poke the bear Ralph. Your Dad has neglected some vital information from your upbringing."

Walter looked back over his shoulder. "Speaking of when Happy gets done, will one of you be able to take Ralph to school since I am still on restricted driving?"

Cabe smiled. "Since he is already awake, sure I don't mine taking him. Just don't ask me to get him up for school."

Walter smiled even as Ralph laughed. "Sorry Grandpa."

Cabe grinned and winked at Ralph.

Walter looked back and Toby. "How long is Happy liable to be having morning sickness?"

Toby nodded. "Well it can very a lot between women, even related women it can fluctuate. Is there a specific question I can answer?"

Walter frowned. "That wasn't specific enough?"

"Well I just meant as to why you are asking more or less." Toby said as he sat down at the table.

"Well we have a couple of jobs for her skill set. I need to know how this will impact her lead times. Not to mention if a job is going to pose a problem for her being pregnant." Walter told him as he turned and stirred Ralph's scrambled eggs.

"Oh, yea, I see what you mean there. Well for the majority it is over by week fourteen. For some they can experience it through out the day. It doesn't just happen in the morning. As for what might be hazardous to her being pregnant I should look at what we already have slated for her work and any future mechanical work I'll need to examine closer to ensure there isn't a risk to the baby."

Walter nodded as he put Ralph's scrambled eggs on his plate and some toasts and set it before him. "Dig in Ralph."

Ralph smiled. "Thanks Dad." He grabbed the salt and pepper and sprinkled them on the eggs.

"Either of you want some breakfast?" Walter asked looking at Cabe and Toby.

Cabe chuckled and shook his head. "You do know Ralph is coming to an age he should be making his own breakfast right?"

Walter looked offended for a moment. "Maybe, but I never got the opportunity to cook for him so I'm going to enjoy it. We can teach him when he is seventeen, provided he doesn't already know how."

Cabe grinned as he held his hand up in mock surrender. "And we thought Mama Bear was bad."

Toby broke out laughing as he held his hand out and Cabe slapped it.

"Fine, if you two don't want anything to eat then we can go down and look at Happy's current jobs and you can go over the ones Paige and I have been looking at for future bids." Walter said a bit offended.

Toby continued giggling all the way down to Walter's desk and sat down in the chair next to Walter's desk. He pointed to his phone. "Can you at least turn that off of your phone?"

Toby looked at Sylvester sitting there with his eyes closed, his head tilted up and a huge smile on his face as his eyelids showed his eyes were moving under them. Toby shook his head. "Man, he's really getting off on that isn't he?"

Walter frowned. "Toby, just because you don't have a mathematical proficiency doesn't mean that those of us who do have some kind of weird fetish. It comforts him, keeping him distracted from what bothers him and it even helps to sharpen his skills. Not that he really needs them to be sharpened."

Toby grinned. "That is a very interesting word choice there Walt, fetish."

Walter rolled his eyes as he thrust the job sheets out at him. "It was your words that made it seem like that was what you were hinting at."

Toby took the sheets enjoying the slight blush to Walter's cheeks. "It is okay Walter, I won't tell Paige about your kink." Toby whispered.

Walter shook his head in disgust.

When Cabe returned from take Ralph to school Paige had already come down from upstairs. He smiled at her. "Over already kid?"

Paige nodded. "Thank God, I don't know why we have to experience that to have kids though. I know there are probably all kinds of medical jargon that explains it but it just seems unnecessary."

Cabe grinned as he bent over and kissed her forehead. "I'll try and talk to the big Guy and see if He'll consider fixing that for you."

Paige smiled even as she shook her head.

Cabe stepped over and sat down in the chair next to Walter's desk. "Hey kid."

Walter smiled at him. "What's up Cabe?"

Cabe coughed uncomfortably. "I was talking to Ralph while taking him to school and he mentioned you hadn't told your parents yet."

Walter looked up with a frown. "Told my parents what?"

Cabe shook his head. "About Ralph being your son. Or that you and Paige are expecting another child."

Walter leaned back in his chair as his hand came up and pushed the eraser of his pencil between his lips. He sighed. "I hadn't even thought of that. I've still got such a long way to go with this Cabe. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't have just let Paige and the others stay at Centipede. I mean I wanted her back, I want her in my life, but I'm still making little mistakes."

Cabe smiled. "Well that's to be expected son. But you are still making good progress and you are constantly worrying. Before when you were together you didn't seem like you worried enough about your lack of emotionality. I think this is a good thing now."

Walter nodded slightly. "Still I better talk with Paige about some things, just to keep us on the right track."

Cabe grinned. "See, the old you wouldn't have thought about that."

Happy and Toby returned a few hours later after her Drs Appointment and explained the Dr confirmed she was indeed pregnant this time and that she hadn't somehow poisoned her system again to have false pregnancy symptoms.

Greetings! How is everyone? Man, while it is very overcast here today, it is so nice outside. Feels more like May then February! I wrote this story yesterday between 2 and 5, came back after dinner and wrote over 1800 words on my new story before 8 pm and in the middle of writing that, another story idea struck and after I put up the new story I started writing this other story idea, wrote 1400 words on it before I called it quits. It is actually going to be a 1 shot which follows after this story which is almost to a close for now. Maybe 1 more chapter I think. The 1 shot will probably be rated M, so 2 days after this story completes if you don't see a new story from me, check your filters and allow M rated stories or go to my bio page.
