The next day, when Alex made it back to the guild, she walked up to the bar to talk to Mira. "Welcome back, Alex," Mira said, smiling. "Did the job take a little longer than you thought?"

Alex smiled at Mira. "I picked up a couple of hitchhikers on my way, and I had to make sure they got home safely." She frowned and looked around. "Is the Master in? I needed to talk to him about something."

Mira tapped her chin thoughtfully. "I think I saw him go upstairs to his office. Why? Is something the matter?"

"I just need to talk to him about the S-Class trials coming up soon," Alex said. She smiled so Mira wouldn't ask more questions. "Nothing to worry about." She thought about it for a minute. "Actually, I think you and the other S-Class members should come up there with me. Your impute could be valuable." She stood up and looked at Mira and where Gildarts was sitting. "I'm going to get Erza. Can you two meet us in the Master's office?" The two of them nodded, and she walked away to talk to Erza.

Erza looked up when Alex walked over to her. She smiled and stood up. "Natsu said he heard you wanted to talk to me?"

Alex nodded. "I was hoping you could join the other S-Class members and me in talking to the Master?" Concerned, Erza nodded.

The duo began walking through the guildhall. "So, how was your job?" Erza asked. "Was it difficult?"

Alex shrugged. "Not really. I ran into a couple of Dragon Slayers who wanted to join me. They wanted me to train them."

"Other Dragon Slayers are living around here?" Erza asked, surprised.

"Of course," Alex said, grinning. "You didn't think we had the only Dragon Slayers in existence, did you?"

Erza shook her head. "Of course not. But I wasn't expecting them to live nearby." The two of them paused at the bottom of the stairs. "What is this meeting about, anyway? Did something happen?"

Alex considered what she should say. "I spoke with Laxus about some of the things that I was worried about, and he suggested I bring it up with the Master. When I spoke to Mira a moment ago that I realized since it involves the S-Class trials, it would be good to get the S-Class wizards' input."

"So you weren't upset we sent Laxus to go find you?" Erza asked, hopeful.

"I can't say I was pleased," Alex said, raising her eyebrow. "But we did end up talking about some important things. So, no, I'm not mad." She looked up the stairs. "The others are waiting for us. Let's go."

When Alex and Erza walked inside the office, Master Makarov was waiting with Mira and Gildarts. He smiled at the two girls. "Alex, Mira was telling me you needed to talk to me about the S-Class trials?"

Alex nodded. "I guess I should start by telling you I came from a different world, and this world is a show and manga in my world."

Gildarts stopped leaning against the Master's desk and started paying better attention. "I came here with knowledge of what is supposed to happen to this world in the future."

"Alex has been using this knowledge to make some changes in this world," Erza said, crossing her arms. "It's helped a lot of people."

Master Makarov nodded. "What are your concerns with the S-Class trials?"

Alex took a deep breath and told the group about what was going to happen during the trials. When she finished, the three other S-Class wizards looked concerned, and the Master looked deep in thought.

"How awful," Mira said, worried. "Is there nothing we can do?"

"We could postpone the S-Class trials," Alex suggested. "Once Grimoire Heart is done looking for Zeref, we could go to the island for the trials."

Gildarts shook his head. "Don't think that would work," He said. "The kids have been looking forward to this, and they won't want to cancel."

Master Makarov nodded. "And I don't like the idea of Grimoire Heart wandering around Tenrou Island like that, even if Zeref is there."

"I'm more concerned about this Dragon Acnologia appearing," Erza said. "You said this Dragon is what causes us to go missing for seven years?" Alex nodded. "So what happens to the guild while we're gone?"

Alex shook her head. "I'm not sure what all happens during the seven years you're gone. But it's not good. The guildhall is lost, and most of the members leave."

"I see," Master Makarov nodded in understanding. He crossed his arms and looked at the S-Class wizards surrounding him. "It seems our best option will be to continue as the timeline is supposed to."

"Are you certain, Master?" Erza asked. "Is there nothing we can do?"

"We don't die, do we?" Master Makarov asked Alex. "We come back after being missing for seven years, right?"

"Well, sure," Alex said, her eyebrows furrowed. "But I don't know how long the guild will last before it starts to crumble without you guys."

Gildarts grinned. "They're a formidable guild. I think they'll be okay."

Master Makarov nodded. "Especially since they won't be dealing with our disappearance by themselves." He looked at Alex. "I hate to have to ask you this, but will you stay behind and watch over the guild?"

Alex looked confused. "Are you sure, Master? Don't you think I'd be better help dealing with Acnologia?"

"We know what would happen when you're not there," Mira said, smiling. "And I think the guild will need you here more than we'll need you at Tenrou Island. And we can't guarantee you being there would do a lot to stop Acnologia."

"Yeah," Gildarts nodded. "He's a powerhouse that cost me an arm and a leg, literally." He grinned. "And now that we know what we'll be up against, we'll be more prepared. Who knows? Maybe we'll be able to beat this, and you won't even have to take care of the guild without us."

Alex frowned and crossed her arms. "I'm not sure I'm the best choice for keeping the guild safe if you all are gone."

Master Makarov gave her a reassuring smile. "You were able to protect Levy and her team, you welcomed Gajeel with open arms, and you made some powerful allies out of the Oracion Seis. Trust me when I say you can take care of the guild."

Erza smiled and placed her hand on Alex's shoulder. "The Master seems confident about this plan. It was a good idea to talk to us about this. Now we'll be better prepared for what's to come."

"This is a difficult burden I'm putting on you," Master Makarov acknowledged. "And I know it's not ideal..."

"I understand," Alex interrupted. She took a deep breath and nodded. "I will stay here and look after the guild while you all are gone."

Mira smiled and walked over to her. "We know it's in good hands."

The five of them looked towards the door when they heard a knocking. Amber was standing by the door, looking uncertain. "I'm sorry. Are you all having some kind of meeting?"

"We were just finishing up, child," Master Makarov said kindly. "What do you need?"

"I was hoping Alex would help me with my magic when she came back," Amber said. She looked at Alex. "I could really use the help."

Alex grinned. "Of course I'll help you." She turned back to the Master. "Thank you for listening to me. I should get going now."

Master Makarov nodded, and the two sisters took off down the stairs. He frowned and shook his head when they were out of sight. "This is troubling news," He said gravely.

"Has the news made you reevaluate who you've chosen for the Trials?" Erza asked, curious.

The Master shook his head. "I don't think anyone else would do as well," he said.

"I think some of the Oracion Seis might be helpful," Mira said thoughtfully. "They're all pretty powerful."

"I get the feeling Alex may need their help here, though," Gildarts countered. "She seems uncertain, and I think having the team she created around will help her be able to protect the guild."

Master Makarov nodded. "I feel guilty, asking someone as young as her to protect the guild. Especially since the last time I asked this of her, it put her in the hospital. She should have all the help she can get."

Erza smiled encouragingly. "She doesn't blame you for her ending up in the hospital, Master. She'll be fine."

"I think I know what can help her with the task you assigned to her," Gildarts suggested, grinning.

He told the others his idea, and the Master hummed in response. He nodded. "It could work." He pulled out a piece of paper. "I'll just write a note to make it official."

With Alex and Amber

"What were you guys talking about?" Amber asked as they walked into the forest behind Alex's house.

Alex shook her head. "It's nothing important, sis. Just some things about the upcoming S-Class trials." She stopped walking and looked at her sister. "What did you want to work on?"

Amber frowned at the conversation change but answered. "I know I have magic because I'm on Earthland with you, but I don't even know where to begin. How did you figure out your magic?"

Alex grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of her neck. "Natsu attacked me after I recovered in the Fairy Tail infirmary. I don't think you want to try that way."

Amber grimaced and nodded in agreement. "True. So how should I do this?"

Alex weighed their options before shrugging. "The best I can figure is we do some meditation." She lifted a finger in the air to hold off any protests her sister might have. "Meditation is going to help you access your magic container and connect with the magic inside of you." She sat down and patted the ground beside her. "Come on, and I'll join you." She crossed her legs while her sister sat down on the ground. "I have an inner Demon I need to connect with."

Amber grinned. "I thought 'Inner Demons' was just a saying."

"Not on this world," Alex smirked. She closed her eyes. "Now concentrate on the ethernano in the air. It surrounds us and penetrates our very cores."

Amber chuckled and opened her eyes. "Sounds a little too much like the Force."

Alex opened her eyes and smirked. "Well, much like the Force gave the Jedi and the Sith their abilities, Ethernano is what gives wizards theirs." She closed her eyes. "Now focus." Amber sighed but did what her older sister suggested.

The two girls sat in the middle of the woods for two hours before Alex stood up. "Alright. Can you feel anything?" Amber shrugged. "Okay, so stand up and focus the magic inside of you. It should form a magic circle, and a little bit of magic should appear. Like this," She concentrated on her hand, and a purple magic circle appeared around her. Lightning formed around her arms before she shot it into the sky. "Now you try."

Amber nodded and focused her energy. A blue magic circle appeared underneath her. Her hands formed a small circle, and an orb of air formed in between them. She looked at the ball of air and frowned in confusion. "Seriously? Am I an Airbender? What kind of magic is this?"

Alex grinned. "Looks like you have air magic. Congratulations." She sighed in annoyance. "At least you made some progress. I'm having no luck reaching my inner Demon."

Amber smiled encouragingly. "Don't worry, sis. I'm sure you'll be able to find your Demon." She got into an Airbender stance. "Now, how about you help me with my magic?" Alex grinned and nodded. The two sisters spent the rest of the day working on air magic and what Amber could do with it.

Two weeks had passed after their initial training day, and Alex was no closer to her goal. She groaned in frustration and stood up. "Maybe I'm not concentrating enough?" She asked herself.

"It looks like your concentrating too hard," A voice said from behind her.

Alex jumped a little and turned around to see Gajeel leaning against a tree with his arms crossed. She sighed and rubbed her face, annoyed. "What are you doing out here?" She asked. She crossed her arms. "I figured you would have taken a job request by now."

Gajeel shook his head. "Nah, all the good ones are taken." He walked closer to her and jerked his thumb in the direction of the guild. "What's with everyone anyway? They're taking jobs one after the other."

Alex grinned. "Don't worry about it, Gaj. The Master will be announcing it in about a week." She tilted her head. "What was it you came out here for?"

"Your sister mentioned you were having trouble with connecting with your inner Demon," Gajeel said, his face serious. "I think I can help."

"No offense, Gajeel, but I don't think contacting a Demon is the same as contacting a Dragon," Alex said, annoyed. She sat back in the lotus position. "And I need to get this figured out soon."

Gajeel rolled his eyes and sat down in front of her. "You're still too tense. You need to relax, or you're never going to contact your Demon." He grinned. "Come on, don't you trust your 'favorite Dragon Slayer'?"

Alex narrowed her eyes at him. "Who told you?"

Gajeel snickered. "You did." He pointed to his ears. "Dragon hearing, remember?"

Alex groaned, and her head slumped. "You weren't supposed to hear that," she admitted.

Gajeel laughed. "I bet. You wanted to braid my hair?"

"Kind of still do," She muttered, her face in her hands, mortified. "Can we talk about something else?"

"Sure," Gajeel grinned. "How about we talk about connecting with that Inner Demon?"

Alex sighed. "Fine. What do I need to do?" The two of them began meditating.

A week later found most of the guild members were in the guildhall. "What do you think this meeting was called about?" Amber asked Sorano.

Sorano shrugged. "Alex just said everyone needed to meet up at the guildhall."

Meanwhile, while the guild members were waiting with anticipation, the S-Class wizards were standing behind the curtain. "This is so exciting!" Mira said, smiling.

"Yeah," Alex smiled back. "It's a shame I won't be joining you all this time."

"There will be other trials," Erza assured. "For now, let's see our friend's reactions to getting chosen for the trials."

The group quieted down as the curtain rose. The Master stood in front of them, and the members of Fairy Tail cheered in excitement. Master Makarov coughed to get everyone's attention. "Fairy Tail!" He called. "As we have done since days long past, I will now announce the participants in this year's S-Class Wizard Advancement Exam!"

The crowd of Fairy Tail members cheered.

"Everyone! Quiet down!" Erza commanded.

"The Master isn't finished speaking yet," Gildarts added calmly.

"This year's exam will take place on Tenroujima!" The Master declared. "It is holy ground for our guild. Each of your powers, hearts, and souls, I have judged them all this past year. There will be eight participants! Natsu Dragneel! Gray Fullbuster! Juvia Lockser! Elfman! Cana Alberona! Fried Justine! Levy McGarden! Mest Gryder!"

The Fairy Tail members looked excited, and all began talking at once. "Only one of you will pass this year!" The Master announced. "The exam will take place in a week, so each of you, prepare yourselves! As this is the first time for some of you, let me explain the rules."

"Each of the eight participants, please select a partner during the week of preparation," Mira continued where the Master left off.

"There are two rules for the partners you choose," Erza said. "First, they must be a Fairy Tail member. Second, you cannot partner with S-Class wizards."

"That means you can't form a team with Mira, Gildarts, Erza, or me," Alex said, grinning. "Wouldn't want an unfair advantage, would you?"

"I will announce the contents of the exam itself once you arrive at Tenroujima. As usual, the S-Class wizards before you will be blocking your progress."

The wizards all gasped in shock. "No complaining," Gildarts grinned. "All S-Class wizards have gone the same path."

"The eight selected wizards and their partners will assemble at Hargeon port in one week."

Lucy sat with Gray, Natsu, Lisanna, Elfman, Juvia, and Wendy around a table. "This year's gonna be tougher than ever," Gray said.

"I'm surprised that this is the first time for all of you," Lucy said, surprised. "I would have thought at least one of you would have gone."

"It's Natsu's second time, actually," Elfman said, grinning. "He helped Alex gain S-Class last year."

"I'm all fired up!" Natsu said, grinning.

"I wonder if Alex will give us an idea on what's going to happen during the exam?" Lucy mused thoughtfully.

"Don't count on it, Luce," Lisanna said. "S-Class wizards are sworn to secrecy when it comes to the exams."

"And even if I wasn't," Alex said, walking over to the group. "It wouldn't be near as fun for you all if I told, now would it?"

"Oh, come on!" Natsu whined. "Not even a little something for your partner from last year?"

Alex rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Well...there is one thing I can tell you that won't spill anything." She crossed her arms. "You won't have to fight me during the exams."

"Why not?" Lucy asked, concerned. "Is everything alright?"

"Let's just say the Master decided he wanted an S-Class wizard to stay behind and look after everyone staying this year," Alex said, grinning. "Gotta help make sure the ones who didn't get picked this year don't tear up the guild while everyone is away."

Lisanna giggled. "They can be a handful, can't they?"

Alex grinned. "Well, good luck to you all. I'm taking my sister and the Oracion Seis on a job. We'll stop by Hargeon to see you all of, alright?"

The group waved at her as she walked away. "Come on, guys," Alex said to her team. "Let's go on a job."

"Why did we even come to this?" Sorano demanded as they went to the job board. "It's not like they were going to choose any of us to be part of the S-Class exams."

"Because soon, you'll be eligible, and I want you to know a bit of what happens," Alex said while staring at the various jobs.

"I heard you say you weren't going this year," Erik said. "Wanna tell me why?"

Alex shrugged. "Master's orders. Can't do anything about it, can I?" Mira walked up and handed her a piece of paper. She thanked her and stepped back to read it.

"I guess," Erik muttered. He turned to the job board. "So what kind of job do you think we can take?"

"This one looks good," Amber suggested pulling down one that requested some help with bandits.

"Sounds like a good first job for you," Alex said, grinning. "I need to head down to Clover town. Why don't you guys take her with you?"

"I thought you wanted to take a job?" Macbeth asked, curious.

Alex smiled and held up the paper she was given. "Someone answered a request I made in Crocus recently. I need to head up there and see if it's true." She started walking away. "Meet up in Hargeon in a week?"

Richard smiled and waved her away. "See you then!"

At Crocus

It took Alex two days to travel to Crocus. When she arrived, Alex entered the church and walked over to the minister reading in his office. He looked up and smiled at her. "Yes? What can I help you with?"

"My name is Alex, and I'm from Fairy Tail," Alex said, holding up a piece of paper. "I was told my request had been answered?"

The minister looked at the paper and smiled. "Ah yes. You're looking for Yukino." He stood up and walked out of his office. "Come with me. She's at the orphanage."

The two of them walked towards the orphanage by the church. "I'm glad you sent that request. I wasn't sure that girl had any family left."

Alex smiled. "Well, her sister misses her greatly. She'll be so happy I found her." She looked around. "Where is she?"

The minister pointed to a young girl reading a book. Alex smiled and walked over to her. "Hi," She said, kneeling beside the young girl. "What are you reading?"

The little girl looked up and showed her the book. "It's about Celestial magic," She said, smiling. "I'm a wizard, and I want to learn all I can about Celestial magic. It's family magic, you know."

Alex grinned. "I do know that. I'm friends with a few Celestial Wizards." She sat down beside the twelve-year-old. "Yukino, my name is Alex, and I'm a wizard of Fairy Tail. Your sister, Sorano, has been living with me for a while now." Yukino looked up in surprise. "We've been looking for you for a while. Would you like to come to Fairy Tail with me?"

Yukino smiled, hopeful. "Can I?"

Alex nodded. "Of course. Why don't you go pack your things while I get everything settled here?" Yukino nodded, her face full of excitement as she ran to her room. Alex stood up and walked to the minister. "Thank you so much for reaching out to me." She reached into her pocket to grab the jewels needed for the reward.

The minister waved his hand. "Don't worry about it," He said, smiling. "I'm just glad to help reunite two sisters."

Alex smiled and put her money back into her pocket. The two waited silently until Yukino arrived. "Again, thank you for everything," She said, walking away with the young girl. "We'll be going to Hargeon first. A few friends of mine are leaving for the S-Class exams, and I want to wish them luck."

Yukino nodded and climbed into the carriage behind Alex. She looked up at the older woman beside her. "What's my sister like? Where was she all these years?" She asked, curious as the carriage began moving.

Alex leaned back and relaxed. "She's pretty rough around the edges, but she's a sweet person when you get to know her," Alex told her all she could about her sister, including where she was now and why she hadn't come with her.

"So Sorano doesn't even know you found me?" Yukino asked, curious.

"Nope," Alex said. "But she is the one that asked me to help her find you. She'll be thrilled I found you."

Yukino nodded thoughtfully. "Can you tell me about Fairy Tail?" Alex smiled softly and spent the next few hours telling the young girl all she could about Fairy Tail and its members. When night came, Yukino and Alex found an inn and spent the night.

"I'm so excited!" Yukino said, smiling. "I'll get to see my sister soon." She looked out the window. "I wonder if she'll recognize me?"

Alex smiled and relaxed in her bed. "She'll recognize you," She assured. "Why don't you get some rest? We have a long day tomorrow."

Hey everyone. I'm sorry this took so long, but the more original content I write, the longer it takes. And it doesn't help that I didn't type this all before hand. Thank you to everyone that's been so patient with me. I will be writing one more chapter before I end this story and start a second part. Thank you again and I'll see you all in the next chapter.
