It was graduation day. Hayden was in her living room. She had about a half hour before she had to leave. Cole came into the room.
"Hi dad." She said.
"Hi." "I can't believe you're graduating today."
"I know." "Senior year went by so quick."
"My little princess is all grown up."
"You haven't called me that since I was little."
"Is it ok?"
"Sure it is, prince daddy." She said smiling.
"I can't believe you remember that."
"Of course I do."
"I'm really proud of you."
"Even with my tattoo?" She said jokingly.
"Yes, even with your tattoo." "I still blame Hawk for that." "I know you'll do anything to protect him."
"He wasn't the influence to get it."
Graduation was in the process.
"Demetri Conners." The principal said. He walked acrossed the stage and received his diploma. It went on in alphabetical order. "Miguel Diaz." "Samantha LaRusso." "Eli Moskowitz." "Hayden Porter."
After graduation they were outside.
"Mom take a picture of all of us." Hayden said.
"Everybody bend down." Hawk said. They all bent down to Hayden's level. Sally took the picture.
"Wait." Amanda said. "I want to get one to." She took one.
Three days later Hayden was having a graduation slash pool party. Relatives and family friends came for the party. Hawk and everyone else was there. Amanda and Daniel gave Hayden five-hundred dollars as a graduation gift. With all the other people at the party she made about thirteen-hundred dollars. Abigail was in her playpen fussing a little. Hawk went over and picked her up. She stopped fussing when he did.
"What's wrong Abigail, do you feel left out?" He asked. "Come sit with us."
About an hour later everyone was sitting around. Cole turned down the music.
"Hayden." Cole said. "Your mom and I have a surprise for you." "We're sending you to Paris for your graduation present." "You're going for a week in July." "You'll be able to spend your eighteenth birthday there."
"Wow." She said excitedly. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." "You're not going alone." "All your friends are going with you."
"We are?" Hawk said surprised.
"Yes you are."
