While the girls were chilling, Asura and his group had taken a trip to the moon colony. They took the bullet train to the space elevator.
The room was VIP class and was had good amount of space. They had privacy and entertainment if they wanted. Everything was available and the scenery could be enjoyed with the system installed.
The train moved at very high speed and could reach even higher but normally operated at close to sound speed. The limit was lightning speed at the time and that was utilized for emergencies or the deployment of troops.
They met Benimaru along the way. He had finished getting some shopping done for the girls and decided to take them on a trip to the moon colony. They had yet to go as it looked too scary.
Carrot was very much attracted to the moon and would always stare at it during the night. Once that came up in the conversation, Benimaru decided to take her there as it was a shame not to visit one of the best places of their world.
They decided to share the room with Benimaru and his new friends. It was surprising and they all acknowledged his intentions.
On the other hand, the girls were also very shocked. They were stuck in a room with celebrities, none of the other occupants were normal people but from top parts of society.
Their eyes looked down and they felt nervous in this situation. It wasn't easy sitting in this situation even though it was the dream of many people.
"Chill, they aren't gonna eat you up." Benimaru stood and ordered some drinks for the girls while the boys declined as they had plans on the moon.
"Yeah, relax. We are all friends here, so just act natural. We won't mind if you mess up." Natsu followed up as he fist bumped his bro and took the hot choco from him.
"That was mine."
"It is ours."
"You can be so lazy." Beni shook his head and got another one. He didn't mind sharing a cup with his close friends sometimes but that was rare.
"I love you to." Natsu chuckled as he sat back down on his seat and looked at the trio who sat beside the window.
Giving a wink at Shun, Natsu leaned back into his comfortable seat.
"Don't worry about us, our silence doesn't imply displeasure." Shun was on the phone with Terra and talking about their activities. She was asking if she should come today and meet the family.
He had told her about it yesterday and Terra was excited. It wasn't her first time meeting Naruto but the whole family was a different beast especially in this setting. She won't be visiting as a student but Shun's girlfriend, that's some huge pressure.
Shun had assured that nothing would happen and she was more than qualified for this situation.
Giving her a loving message, Shun put down his phone and focused on the current situation.
"Your presence doesn't displease us, act normally. It is beneath us to show impatience and such negative qualities." Asura put his chin on his hand and looked outside the window at the sprawling landscape.
It was beautiful as usual. Everything was planned and was meant to be pleasant to the gaze.
It was a thing done by Gaea and other forces along with his parents.
They just wanted to enjoy life and help others enjoy it as well. It was hard to be lost and feel despair in this world.
Of course that was only for the lower people, anyone that knew the truth might not feel at peace. He had slept beside his parents last night and it was something that Asura would never let others know.
It was embarrassing. It made him feel weak and vulnerable but it was needed. He needed support and that was why his parents were there for him.
He had never felt his body shake so much. He had never felt his heart race so badly. He had never felt his breathing become constrained and almost suffocate from the fear.
There had been never a day where he imagined that he would want to kill himself. It wasn't an irresistible desire but the thought came to mind, his mind. He imagined killing himself.
It was shocking.
These were emotions that only existed when he sparred with the top fighters and it was understandable. But now he felt a similar thing from just this knowledge.
He had slept on the lap of his mother and felt her hands on his hair. He had felt the grip of his father's hand on his hand and heard him sing him to sleep.
It was a thing that stopped at the age of six and now he was 13, in human terms he was a lot older as he had experienced so much.
By morning things had calmed down and he was back in shape but it was still at the back of his mind. The support from his parents and his determination push the fear at the back so that he could focus on improvement.
His training became harsher and he had already contacted his chosen to increase their activities. He needed them to fight more and increase their power levels.
Without informing his close friends, he conveyed his desire to work harder and improve their skill level. Natsu joining them was a surprise but he didn't mind.
Sitting in the train, it wasn't his first time interacting with normal people. They weren't going to be of use to him but that didn't mean he looked down on them.
There was hierarchy and everyone had their part. He was from the upper class and he was the son of the Hokage so it won't do for him to destroy the spirit of the citizens.
His expression always looked cold and emotionless but that didn't mean he didn't know how to talk. His words helped the girls finally relax because it was his presence that affected them the most.
Asura was known to be cold and people never messed around in his presence. It wasn't some empty presence since he was also extremely strong and at the top of his skill group.
The girls nodded but still didn't speak to them. Just because they finally relaxed didn't mean they suddenly got more guts out of thin air.
They were satisfied with the situation and wondered what they will talk about.
Benimaru didn't push them either since he knew it wasn't easy to talk to people that were assumed to be higher rank. It was normal for him as he was part of the showbiz and was very outgoing unlike his brother.
"So, how did you end with them? Flames don't get together with ice, you know." Beni asked as he relaxed and put his left leg on his right while taking a sip from his drink.
"Did you forget Bobby?" Natsu indicated with hands, like what the heck bro.
"Sheeh don't remind me, ice doesn't suit him at all. He acts like you." Benimaru shook his head at the mention of Bobby from Kiri. He was a mutant with the ice bloodline. It had mutated and turned him into an iceman. He was one of the top students there and good friends with Natsu, even Benimaru but not so close.
"It does suit him, he knows to chill."
"Let's get back on topic, why?" Benimaru wasn't in the mood to talk about the guy since that person was very mischievous. Bobby had ended up annoying him by messing with him using his ice powers when he was having a show in Kiri.
It turned into a battle between lighting and ice that people watched as the Mizukage had decided to let it happen.
That was an activity loved by Natsu but Benimaru wasn't a fan.
It wasn't some old act but something from the previous month and Bobby hadn't apologized for it.
Natsu understood that he wasn't in the mood to joke. It was understandable with one look at the girls. He was someone that cared so much about appearance that people had never seen him with average looking people but here was sitting with them.
It must have been hectic and stressful for him. As for Bobby, that guy hadn't apologized because he was stuck with Akainu after what he had done.
Akainu was the leader of the forces under the Mizukage and he was also an iceman because of the same mutation.
"I decided to join their team and was thinking we can join together." Natsu gave it to him straight.
Beni put down his drink and leaned forward to look at him. Natsu didn't look away as lightning and fire eyes stared at each other.
Beni looked towards Asura and didn't see them refute it either.
He thought about it and understand but also didn't understand.
"Why? We don't have a reason to join a strong team and didn't you say that you wanted to win against them all. What happened to that?" Benimaru was confused since Natsu was someone that loved challenges, joining Asura meant the opposite of that.
Asura's team was the strongest, as you were literally guaranteed victory by being in it unless it was against Shuten.
Natsu wished to enjoy the fight that was why he never joined the big teams and he didn't make a big group either. He wanted to increase the difficulty and he wanted to make a team from ground up but Beni wasn't leader material and Natsu wasn't either.
They were a good team but that wasn't enough and the other members of the group were just not their level.
Natsu looked at the ceiling and even the silent trio was curious about it.
"There is no point in this challenge. It will hold us back and we won't get part in the big events. I know you don't like fighting but we have to fight, you should more than me." Natsu replied seriously as he looked at him.
It was rare for him to talk like that and it the result of his partner warning him. He was a tamer. His partner was the flame dragon Ignia and he had a deep bond with it since an early age.
It had taken liking to him when he was born. It was a day when the dragons flew in the skies of their world and the red dragon sweeped down, landing in their garden where his mother sat with him.
Those giant eyes stared at him and beckoned him. He was just a baby so his parents asked him to wait. Natsu met Ignia at the age of four and they bonded.
Ignia was an adult dragon with thousand years behind him. He was the mind in this team and Natsu listened to his advice.
Ignia hadn't told him the truth but told him to act serious since the time to play was ending. Natsu took Ignia's words to heart and never ignored them, so he took this step.
On the other Beni was reminded of Naruto's talk with them. He had told them that things will get serious. That he was sorry to put them through difficulties but all of them will have to bear the responsibility.
Their father would never joke about such things but Beni thought it was after graduation. Now it seems that he had to start acting serious earlier than planned.
Natsu wasn't someone that would act like that on a whim and his father's words coming now, it seems things were starting. Things that were unknown to them were starting and the adults wanted them to gather their spirits.
"Are you sure? Asura isn't someone easy to work with….For him." Beni asked one more time and turned to Asura as he didn't want a misunderstanding.
"I know. Asura is quite boring but I can endure boredom."
The girls looked towards Asura and he didn't react to his words at all. They had more respect for Natsu now. The guy was playing with fire.
Shun rolled his eyes at those words and ignored him as well. Natsu really wasn't suited with their personalities since they loved peace unlike his adventure loving spirit.
Hearing that answer, Beni chuckled. He knew that Asura didn't really care and knew that not everyone enjoyed his life style.
"What do you say bro?" Beni looked at Asura and saw him indicate with his fingers. Anyone else wouldn't dare do it with him but here he didn't mind.
"You can't skip without permission now, remember to ask." Byakuya gave him a reminder and entered his name into their team list.
It was official and the academy will know so they wouldn't end up being separated.
"No problem, I have no issues with such things." Beni didn't mind since he was used to such things from his job. He already needed permission from the Academy so it wasn't much of a chore to talk to the team leader. His brother would understand so it won't even take much time.
'Oh!' Beni just realized that Asura won't let him skip when he didn't feel like it either because he didn't care about such things.
"Let's work together like always and show them our team work." Natsu was happy that Beni agreed as there was a chance that he might decline. He didn't need to follow especially since he didn't care about fighting and challenges.
There was also the fact that Beni had mood swings.
Seeing his happy expression, Benimaru just shook his head with a small smile and kicked Natsu's shin.
"That's for taking my drink."
Natsu blocked the lightning and didn't attack as he was feeling happy now. He also didn't want to get an earful from his new team mates for making a mess.
"Natsu, will you follow us or are you joining Benimaru?" Shun asked as Asura had planned a stroll through the colony and just small talk for now. They would join together for the night after the family activities and Asura had told him to bring Terra.
It won't do for his girlfriend to not see his private life outside of their personal dealings.
"What do you girls think? Want him to join us?" Beni leaned back into his seat and put his arm around Carrot.
Carrot wanted to move away but his strength wasn't something she could contend against. It wasn't because she didn't want it but she felt shy about it. People were watching and he was being so close with her.
She wasn't used to being touchy with males.
Benimaru had noticed it and was helping her break out of her personality problems or he wouldn't be touchy with people either.
Regardless, the girls were surprised by the turn of events and looked at each other.
"Yes" Shakuyaku muttered as they finished their conversation through the eyes. Natsu was Benimaru's best friend and he was likeable person, more than Benimaru.
It was also a chance to see both of them from up close and see them play around. It would lessen Benimaru's attention from them. They were honored but it was making them feel nervous and he got very pushy.
It was hard to deny him even knowing that he will stop. Those eyes were hard to deny.
"Well, sorry bro but I am taking the flame head with me."
"No problem, he might have ruined our mood so we are good." Asura replied instead of motioning his intentions. His words were unexpected.
"Wow, I am offended by that. I would not have ruined the mood. I can definitely enjoy the boring scenery." Natsu stood up and pointed at him.
"Nice job jackass, you just proved the point."
"I try my best. Now, keep in mind my presence and make it interesting." Natsu chuckled and sat back down. He wasn't going to heat up at such words. He only got angry at people that annoyed him and looked down on him.
With that, they arrived at their stop and stood up. It was a short trip as the Space Elevator was around 900 km from Konoha. There was bustling town around it and rivers flowed through the land. The thing was huge and reached into the exosphere from where they could catch the space ship.
They could have just used a Teleporter from the academy or even inside the space Elevator but this journey was also part of their pass time. It was like talking a walk or a drive.
A.N Hope you enjoyed and comment.
I hope you have understood why the characters are so strong and stuff. I am not giving these characters any powers without an explanation.
Even in Canon Naruto is very strong and already hit above Planet level in Boruto. He can move faster than light in base and his rasengan did same level of damage his war arc full power did. Meaning his base form has close to continental attack potency. This is from the novel and from the Momoshiki battle plus the Last Movie. Last Movie highlight wasn't the moon cut but the fact that Naruto destroyed the Tensaigan barrier which could survive the.moon getting destroyed with a single rasengan in a weaker form, not his full power. Just taking from that feat would put Naruto above planet level and that was when he was 19 while he is more than 30 as Hokage. But the Boruto manga is completely messed up so it just ruins everything.
Boruto and team can fight villains that are supposed to be Naruto villains. Boruto can somehow even watch the fight or attack Momo.
Boruto can somehow help with Ishiki. Boruto and Kawaki preparing to fight Ishiki level enemy in an year or so.
moving away from my problems with Boruto.
This matters because all the power levels I end up using are because of the power of Naruto and all the characters around him in canon. I will explain how and why the characters in this story are this strong.
First, I think most people don't remember how pointless the academy was in the actual setting. The academy in Naruto's time taught barely anything and you could pass if you knew substitution, clone (Illusion) and transformation. Nothing else.
They were taught by weaklings. Mizuki lost to Naruto and Iruka wasn't stronger either. This Naruto would get murdered by other little kids.
Secondly, none of the clans or villages shared resources.
Third, there were not many techniques that made things easier to learn or boost your powers for most people.
Fourth, no outside resources utilized. No drugs. No magic food. No magic weapons for majority.
Finally, no genetic manipulation.
In this story, the academy teaches them with full force and all the teachers are experts not low level chunins. All teachers are stronger than Madara. They have completely specialized course unlike before.
They have very harsh training unlike before. Here they break the body and rise above it.
They have access to resources of all kinds. They are boosted by the food they eat, the drugs and the equipment. The fuinjutsu seals available to them that never existed.
There is finally the genetic manipulation. everyone has a bloodline and it is much stronger than before. The stronger characters than get Kaguya's DNA so they are further enhanced which pushes them closer to Kaguya's level in the war, not the current version.
All these reasons put the current generation above the previous era. It is supported by the manga as well.
Sakura without Tsunade would not even reach Jounin level of the actual canon setting but she ended up becoming Kage level ninja. Sakura had perfect chakra control which is like one of the best things you need in Naruto but without a good teacher that was worthless.
Chakra control is how the Naruto characters become stronger. The amount of Chakra doesn't matter if you can't control it. Naruto as a kid had more chakra than all the Kage combined but he was weaker than Iruka at the start of Naruto.
It is control that is needed followed by chakra amount. With better control they can use the jutsu properly and boost it. They can boost their bodies and increase their speeds.
It is the reason Naruto's power jumped so much once Kurama stopped being a problem to him because now he could control all the power.
It also explains Naruto's power increase after the war because he jumped a lot in two years.
If you have any question just ask and I will answer.
My other issue is lack of realistic emotions and feel in the story. The story feels empty. Kurama just died in Boruto but nothing.
Naruto didn't act like anything special happened, no one did. Am I supposed to take this seriously?
There is no weight and actual feeling of threat.
It also feels completely stupid. Anyone that has watched the war arc knows that Kurama isn't Naruto's biggest boost. it's six paths power. Boruto manga is acting like Naruto just lost all his power. Sasuke lost his rinnegan, now that's a big loss but Kurama isn't a big loss to Naruto's power.
