The last duel Yukin was in was a real scare. Near the end, Yukin acted on rage and used Shadow Shudamin to launch a fierce and devastating attack. It went against what Yukin believed in. Yukin barely remembers what happened to him, but he knows it wasn't good. As he just sat in the lobby of the arena, he stared at Shadow Shudamin.

"What's going on with me?" Yukin questioned. He doesn't understand, but does know that it has something to do with the card Drewsin gave him. 'This all happened because of Drewsin. Sapphire Serapho reacted to Shadow Shudamin too when I first saw it.' Yukin took out his Serapho card and held the two together. Nothing happened. 'Could there be some connection between Serapho and Shudamin? Does that mean there's a connection between me and Drewsin?' Just when it seems like one piece of this puzzle is solved, another shows up. All the more reason Yukin needs to find out what's going on.

Renji

Renji monitored each and every duel. He was actually quite pleased with some of the duels he saw. In fact, Zoey was dueling right now and she was doing very well. As Renji was watching, one of his workers came up behind him.

"Sir, there's something you need to see."

"What is it? Is this important." Renji asked.

"Well... I'm not exactly sure. It is rather strange." His worker walked over and handed him a tablet that held some security footage. It showed two people in cloaks, but when you zoomed in, you saw Zoey's face in one one of them.

"Zoey Baxter?" Renji questioned as he could see her dueling right now.

"That's the weird part. We captured this image moments ago, right when Miss Baxter's duel started. She can't be in too places at once and our records show she has no twin or any sibling that looks like her." This caught Renji's interest.

"Where was this taken?" Renji said.

The Parking Garage

A parking garage was being used for those who wanted to see the duels in the arena. Inside that garage were two cloaked figures.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" The bigger one asked.

"I didn't ask for your help, Baron. I'm going to find those rebels and prove myself. I'll show Promin that I'm worth something. By doing this, I won't be stuck at the academy just waiting around. If you don't want to help, go home."

"I can't do that. I'm under orders to keep an eye on you." Baron said. "Do you even know where to start? We don't know who these rebels are or what they even look like."

"I overheard them say that they're duelists that use xyz summoning."

"That doesn't really narrow it down. It could be anyone." Baron said.

"We also know that they're looking for people from Promin Academy. I'm sure they'll find us soon enough."

"I'm afraid you're going to have your hands tied." Both of them looked across the garage and saw Renji found them. "I don't believe you two belong here."

"Who might you be?" Baron asked.

"That's not important." Renji said. "What is important is that you two aren't from here. You really have no reason to hide yourselves. Why don't you take off those cloaks and reveal your faces? You were already caught on camera." He pointed to a camera to show they had no reason to hide. "Your faces were already captured. You don't really have a reason to hide yourself." One of them reached for their cloaks and took it off. She had purple hair tied back into a tail. She wore a red uniform with the jacket open to show a black shirt with a red skirt. The weird part was that her face looked just like Zoey's. "You're not Zoey Baxter, are you?"

"Zoey? You got the wrong girl. My name is Siri. Now tell us what you want or just get lost."

"What I want is to simply talk." Renji said.

"Well, I'm not interested in what you have to say unless it's the whereabouts of these rebels I'm looking for." Siri said.

"Is that so? Well, what about a duel? That might get you to listen." Renji said.

"A duel? Now you're talking." Siri said.

"Wait, Siri. Let me." Baron said as he stepped forward and removed his cloak. He was a big guy with him dressed like a general with him having teal spikey hair and an eyepatch over his left eye.

"And who would you be exactly?" Renji said.

"My name is Baron. I'm under orders to watch over Siri. If you wish to duel her, you'll have to go through me first."

"I don't need to be protected! I'm not some helpless girl!" Siri said.

"Regardless of how you feel, I must follow my orders." Baron said.

"That's fine with me." Renji said. "It's the girl I wish to speak to, but I have no problem dueling against you."

"You're going to regret that. I'm one of Promin Academy's top educators and duelist for a reason." Baron said as he activated his duel disk. Renji activated his own as well. As for Siri, she just sat back on a car and waited for this duel to be over with.

"Let's duel!" Both said as they had 4000LP.

"I'm making the first move!" Baron said. "I'm going to start by activating Honor Badge Case continuous spell!" When he played that, a display case appeared on the field. "Each time I special summon a monster, I get an honor badge counter. For each honor badge counter I have, my monsters gain 200atk points. Next, I summon Battle Ox to the field!" He summoned out a minotaur warrior with it having 1700atk points. "Since I summoned a beast-warrior to the field, I can special summon Beast Trooper to the field!" He summoned out a werewolf-like monster with it wearing army soldier soldiers. It also had 1200atk points. "Since I special summoned a monster, I get an honor badge counter!" A badge appeared in the case. "That means my monsters gain 200atk points." Both his monsters grew stronger as they now had 1900 and 1400atk points. "I'll end my turn there."

"My turn!" Renji said as he drew his first card. "I'll start by activating Dimensional Lamia to the field!" He summoned out a woman with brown hair and a green serpent body with 1200atk points. "Next, I activate her special ability. When she's summoned to the field, I can summon another level four or lower monster. I summon her sister, Dimensional Nure-Onna!" He summoned out his second snake woman with 1200atk points. "I now activate Portal Leap! This spell card allows me to summon a level four or lower Dimensional monster directly from my deck. However, when my turn ends, I will lose 1000LP. I summon the tuner monster Dimensional Butterfly!" He summoned out a black winged butterfly-like creature as it came out with 100atk points. "I now activate Nure-Onna's ability! I can now take control of one of your monsters until the end of the turn, but I can't attack with it."

"You what?!" Baron said.

"You heard me. I'm taking your Beast Trooper!" Renji said. "Go, Pheromonal Allurement!" Nure-Onna slithered around the beast and hypnotized it with it's eyes as it came over to Renji's side. "I now tune my level one Dimensional Butterfly with your level three Beast Trooper and level four Nure-Onna!" His butterfly turned into a green circle that came around the two monsters and became a total of seven stars. "Free yourself from your icy imprisonment and spread your wings!" A beam shot through the circle and he summoned a new monster. "I synchro summon Dimensional Ice Warrior Esclabor!" He summoned out a new knight as it wore armor made of ice as it held a rapier and had icy blue wings with 2800atk points "Esclabor, attack with Frozen Aurora!" He held his rapier and emitted a blinding light. It slashed against Battle Ox as it froze and shattered. Baron's life points dropped to 3100. "Dimensional Lamia, your turn! Attack him directly!" His lamia surrounded herself in water as she flew at Baron and tackled him as his life points dropped to 1900.

"Not bad." Siri said as she saw the skill this guy holds.

"I end my turn. Since it is, Portal Leap's counter effect kicks in." Renji said. He was expected to lose life points, but they actually increased to 5000.

"Hold on. I thought you said you would lose life points after playing that spell." Baron said.

"It's Esclabor's ability. As long as he remains on the field, I gain life points instead of losing them." Renji said.

"This guy has skill. Not only did he take one of Baron's monsters, but he also used it for a synchro summon." Siri said. "He also made it so he can't take damage."

'His warrior prevents him from taking damage, effect or battle. That means I need to get rid of it first.' Baron thought as he readied himself. "It's my turn! I summon Vorse-Raider to the field!" He summoned out a monster with 1900atk points. Thanks to his spell, it went to 2100. "Since I summoned another Beast-Warrior, I can summon a second Beast Trooper!" He summoned another trooper with it having 1200, increased to 1400atk points. "With another monster special summoned, I gained another honor badge counter." A second badge appeared and increased their attack points to 2300 and 1600. "Next, I activate Level Sync! This allows two monsters that are the same type to become the same level. That means that Vorse-Raider and Beast Trooper are both level four! With that done, I'll build the overlay network!" Both of his monsters became energy and came together in a vortex. "I xyz summon Beast Drill Sergeant!" He summoned out a beast-like creature with it dressed like a sergeant. It carried an actual drill and it had 2400atk points. "That makes a third honor badge counter. That gives him a total of 600atk points." His beast's attack points increased to 3000.

"Quite the beast." Renji said.

"You haven't seen anything yet. I use one overlay unit to destroy your warrior!" Baron said. One unit entered the drill and it generated a twister that destroyed Esclabor. "With him out of the way, your lamia is done for and you take damage! Attack with Commanding Burrow!" Baron went right at Renji's lamia and destroyed it as Renji's life points dropped to 3200. "That ends my turn."

"Is that all? I expected more from an elite." Renji said.

"Do you really think you can win at this point?" Baron questioned.

"I can. Just watch!" Renji said as he drew his next card. "It is said in many legends that the butterfly symbolizes "soul". That's fitting with mine's ability. By banishing Dimensional Butterfly from the graveyard, I can summon a synchro monster from my graveyard! Return to battle, Esclabor!" Esclabor returned to the field as it rose back to the field.

"It's still not strong enough." Baron said. "What are you up to?"

"This. I activate Dimension Sinergy!" Renji said. "This gives Esclabor an extra 300atk points for each monster that was removed from play." Esclabor's attack points increased to 3100. "There's more. If he happens to destroy a monster, you'll be taking damage equal to it's attack points thanks to my equip spell."

"What?!" Baron said as he couldn't believe this.

"Attack with Frozen Aurora!" Renji ordered. Esclabor went on the attack as it slashed, froze, and shattered Baron's monster so easily. The impact of the attack knocked him down as Baron lost the last of his life points. Siri was a little impressed that someone was able to beat Baron, but she just brushed it off and kept going. "Hold it." Renji walked over to her and stopped her from leaving. "I believe we have much to talk about." What does Renji want with Siri? Will she listen? How come she looks like Zoey? More questions just keep appearing.
