His Silent Scream
Chapter 39
Author Notes: Well...i put that author notes warning last chapter for a reason. Because here we are with arguably my least favorite chapter...and that's because one of my least favorite characters is getting some spotlight(why did i allow this?) Time to see how this goes. I do not own yugioh
3rd P.O.V
"So have you done it yet?" Jehu choked on his drink, it going in all directions as he coughed. It took him a moment to gather himself while Zane, Jim and Aster were all giving Atticus a dumbfounded look.
Wondering how he could ask such a private question before realizing the senior was as dumb as the expressions currently on their faces right now. "Did you seriously just ask me that?!" It was a guys day out. Er-sort of.
Not all of the guys were there. Haou, Axel, and Tyranno were no where to be found, already having plans or just weren't interested in going. Leaving the five to hang out at their local burger joint to chat about the upcoming school events.
With Valentine's day coming and going, there were happy endings for all that had love lives. The single men and women meanwhile were crying rivers full of tears as they prayed for a better next year. But it also meant the students had to start preparing for the spring festival.
And for the dreaded Fools Massacre that occurred every year. Now they still had time to prepare for both, as the two events took place in April. More than a month away. But it was speeding their way fast. And that meant alliances needed to be made.
Every year some student(it was different each time) would go about pranking the school on the first of April, and like a chain reaction would get the whole school involved. It becoming a literal warzone of jokes and surprises.
Not even teachers or principal could avoid it, if anything they get thrown right into the smack dab center of the cross fire. Friends and classmates partner up early to make plans to both protect themselves...and then go after targets that have aggravated them for the year.
Crowler and Bonaparte were absolutely miserable this time of year. Since they were always on the hit list. Leading them to be paranoid and crueler than usual. For the last five years it's been dubbed the Fools Massacre. That was the main reason this group got together.
But of course they were also hanging out, being good friends and all. But did Atticus really have to ask Jehu that with such a straight, interested face? Jehu was grateful Haou declined on this little get together. Knowing he would've probably gone searching for the nearest rope to hang himself should he hear this.
Although it was probably because he wasn't here that Atticus was asking. "No! Dude we haven't been together all that long." They weren't even friends for that long, let alone dating! Atticus showed no shame as he shrugged.
"I was just curious-I mean, you Have gone all the way with some of your other relationships..." The street littered with rushing cars was starting to sound like a wonderful place to visit as Jehu smacked his head on the table.
All of their soda and water glasses vibrating from the impact. "How do you even know about that?" He never told Atticus any of this! And he doubted any of his ex's would've bothered telling him.
So that begged the question of how'd he find out!? "I have my connections. And that's besides the point, my question is why? You guys are so head over heels in love I feel like cupid is firing arrows at your asses every time you two meet up."
Was this really the conversation they were going with? Was Jehu really going to sit here for who knows how long with Atticus going down a route no friend should go down in...with their friends suffering through the conversation in a public place?
No because thankfully Aster and Zane smack the moron, perfectly in sync causing Atticus double the pain. "Ouch!" Atticus rubbed his hair, already feeling lumps form. Jehu crossed his arms as he scowled.
"See? You're even mirroring Haou's killer death glare perfectly! And with spring comes the need to let love flourish like the flowers growing into the ground. Sex him up!" Jim took a sip of his drink, shaking his head.
Feeling no sympathy as Atticus gets another much deserved hit. "Don't listen to him mate. He's just sore because he hasn't hooked up with anyone in awhile. He'd rather play love doctor than get a love life himself."
Jehu knew that for a fact. This wasn't the first time such an inappropriate topic has come to light. But normally it was when they were hanging out at each other's houses or somewhere more private.
That must've just shown how pitiful Atticus's existence was...since he got rejected by the girl he liked on the beloved holiday for lovers. "We're changing the subject. Now." He's not going to deny that him and Haou haven't contemplated going all the way.
Their make out sessions and touches grew bolder every day, and Jehu already got a good glance of his boyfriend half naked on his birthday. The bluenette had gotten to know his lover's body very well. But neither of them were ready for taking that step. They were taking it slow and that was fine.
Jehu was content with that since this was Haou's first and(hopefully) only relationship. It was special, not that Jehu's past relationships were flings. He genuinely loved those he was with, and with the exception of one or two where it was entirely his lover's seduction skills taking advantage of him.
He always waited for his partner to be one-hundred percent sure about going that far before even thinking about it. Haou no matter what was different. The feelings the bluenette had for him was far stronger then anything he's ever had. And Haou may not even Want to go all the way with Jehu due to his trauma and scars.
But again that was fine. Jehu didn't confess to him due to lustful intentions, and Haou didn't reciprocate those feelings out of sexual desire either. Their acts were innocent and pure. And Atticus needed to get it in his thick skull that sex does not make or break a couple.
Also he needs to stop butting his nose where it doesn't belong. Though Jehu figured that last one would never end. "I think I'm ready to order. Adrien!" Aster called out to his friend and waiter, officially ending this before he died on Jehu's embarrassing behalf.
He was still single and the talk was going a tad too far into the uncomfortable zone for his tastes. "What's up guys?" The red head grinned as he approached, his notepad out and ready. Jim chuckled as Aster quickly rattled off everyone's order, knowing each of their favorites by heart.
The silver haired boy's face a dark rouge. "Hurry before I drown this moron in his own soda Please!" Their waiter was trying his best not to smile. He didn't exactly hear the whole conversation. So he couldn't necessarily know what was being talked about.
But he saw their interactions and small snippets as he was focusing on other customers. It was enough for him and he was very much glad he Wasn't involved, otherwise he would've smacked Atticus as well.
Having been in almost all of his classes and dealing with his bullshit just as much this year. Better watch out for Fools Massacre...because Atticus was on his list. He was still not forgiven for nearly blowing Adrien's face off in chemistry last month. His eyebrows finally grew back thankfully.
His teacher should've been fired for even Thinking of allowing the older Rhode to sign up for such a dangerous class. Let alone messing with explosive chemicals. "I'll be back in a flash~" Aster sighs, put out by the conversation.
"So onto more important matters. Have you guys decided on any events? Crowler's trying to recruit me again and I need a good excuse!" Winces are thrown his way. Aster was one of the only students in the entire school that the philosophy teacher liked and was always forced to participate in his debate events.
It was fun the first time, even the second time was enjoyable as Aster loved winning his arguments. But this was the third time in a row, frankly he was getting sick of it. "You could always join me and Haou in Mrs. Sheppard's Shadow Realm café. I think we're doing desserts from India."
Jehu was a permanent member of Tome's event. Not only because Haou and her asked him every time but because he couldn't deny that he enjoyed playing the comedic ninja waiter. He even got to play some music with his guitar as a little show for the guests coming in.
Attracting even more customers. "No way. If anything I'm avoiding Haou! Last time he dragged me to be Banner's zombified paintball target! And I wasn't even playing uno with you guys! Next." Everyone was going to avoid Haou like the plague.
Third time was always the charm and they didn't want to risk it. They also planned on taping a certain senior's mouth shut(they should've done it a long time ago now that they thought about it.) This way no stupid bets or deals could be made. "It wasn't that bad." Jim's little comment got a scoff.
"That's because you were a shooter! And a speedy zombie, you were able to dodge a lot better then I was. What are you doing anyways?" Jim could confidently say that with the exception of Banner's game, he doesn't really get involved with the events.
They were fun to watch but there was nothing that really interested him. Meaning he couldn't help the teen. "Zane, you're my last logical hope." The purposely ignored senior pouts. "Don't be mean! I know Mrs. Seiko and Ms. Sarina are tag teaming to make a carnival with rigged games."
The statistics and sociology teachers were more than eager to see what their students could do against such odds. And though Jehu actually found himself interested in at least checking it out, Aster couldn't care less.
"Again. Zane you're my last logical hope." The taller teen could only shrug, not really interested in the events either. "Mr. Shroud is doing an auction on some of the donated art pieces his students made. He mentioned needing volunteers." He would take it.
Beggars really couldn't be choosers he supposed. At least Mr. Shroud's event was more up his ally. "Here's your food guys." Piping hot and fresh off the press, the boys were greeted with their regulars. "Thanks man~" Adrien grinned, hoping they enjoyed the meal.
Walking away to grab the remains of a recently emptied table made him sigh. He was tired, more than due for a break since they were a bit low on workers. Adrien Gecko of course jumped at the chance for more hours, needing the pay.
But that didn't stop the fatigue from settling in when his replacement for said break was ten minutes late. Still it wasn't a big deal, he could hold out a bit longer. He picks up the dishes, balancing it with ease before making his way towards the back of the restaurant.
Unaware that someone stuck their foot out just in time to collide with Adrien's. "Ahh!" He fell forward, the momentum bringing him to his arms and knees. The dishes in his hands clattering and shattering all over.
All eyes turned to him, Jehu narrowing his eyes as the individual who tripped him snickered. "Sorry man. My bad." Adrien wanted to shout profanities on the asshole. Knowing full well it was purposely done. He held his tongue however. He needed this job, and couldn't risk being fired.
No matter how much the bastard deserved a good tongue lashing, he had to stay calm. Grumbling under his breath he goes about picking up the broken plates and glasses. Blinking in surprise as his classmates get off their seats to help.
Jim frowning at the group of boys still snickering. "You could help you know. Especially if you didn't mean to trip him." Jim, like everyone else could see that they had no regrets laughing or being jerks. They tripped the poor waiter just to see his reaction.
Still he figured he'd give them a chance at redeeming themselves. "Nah man, you guys seem to have it handled." It of course though was a lost cause. Three of the four boys sneering at the group, puffing up their chests. As if thinking they could intimidate them.
The last one was silent, a pale skinned, black haired teen. He just watched, rolling his dark eyes before crossing his arms. The bluenette felt his gaze while he and his friends helped clean up the mess. "Thanks guys. Next time you come over lunch will be on me."
Zane and Aster were still glaring at the troublesome idiots. A battle of testosterone in the air. Jehu only waved his hand back and forth as he tossed the broken dishes into the trash. "Don't mention it man. Just take it easy." His amber orbs shifted stances, looking at the party of four.
"I don't know who you jackasses think you are, but we better not see anything like that again." Tension was growing. So thick and suffocating that not even a knife could slice through it. "Oh? And who's going to stop us? You? You're just some pansy gay." Amber flashed before his fist slammed onto the table.
Causing the group to flinch from the harsh reaction. Jehu didn't know any of them personally, but he recognized all but the raven haired boy. And even if he didn't, the fact that they knew of his relationship with Haou meant they had to have gone to their school.
And he was not going to tolerate any bullshit. "This pansy gay can easily toss you out like the trash you are. Don't think you can fuck with me when YOU are the ones in the wrong." They tried playing it tough, but Jehu easily towered over them, and took a few tips from his boyfriend.
His gaze was steady and cold, glaring deep within the others' eyes. Letting them get a good look at the hatred and anger swirling within his orbs. "That's enough Jehu. I don't want to see blood stains on my tables." Adrien's superior and the manager Larz came out. Displeased with what he saw and heard.
His mouth twitching downwards as he addressed the troublemakers. He was in the back doing inventory for the next week's delivery. As well as waiting for his newest addition Linda to show up. Only to hear the crash, startling him. His gaze swept towards Adrien, checking for any sort of damage before addressing the group.
"I didn't think I'd have to come out here to lecture the hell out of high schoolers causing my staff problems, but here I am. Get this boys. This is my place! You don't get to treat anyone here with disrespect-especially my employees who work their asses off to serve you. So I want you out of here. Now. Otherwise I'll let Jehu make good on his threat."
Each one of them stood up, knowing they weren't welcome or willing to risk Larz give the blunette permission. "The food was crap here anyways." Everyone watched them leave, wary and still ready to pounce should they change their minds.
But thankfully they did no such thing. Larz sighed as he apologized to the rest of the people there. "Adrien, go take a break. Half an hour at least. I'll man the tables, Linda called stating she should be here in ten minutes. She apparently got held up due to an accident on the highway." The teen could only nod.
Relieved he could rest. "Later guys. Thanks again!" They took that as a sign to start heading out. Each of the five having their meals to go. Larz gave them a huge discount, barely charging them. "Consider this a thank you for helping out Adrien and an apology for it happening in the first place."
None of them had any complaints on the matter. They could only give small thank yous as they placed tips in the jar next to the register. "See you next time Larz~" He waved them off, grabbing a towel.
To be continued
