Poppy and Branch: You can do it solo!

Aggie and Trollex: But then you'd be all by yourself.

Rhythm, Blues, Quincy, Essence: Together, we will soar across the sky and beyond! (Prince D: To the great beyond!)

Holly Darling, Buckaroo, Delta Dawn: So, tune-up your voice!

It's Dad-urday

Synth was proudly strolling through the village with Stereo, who was pushing their egg safely in a stroller as both Techno trolls sat down under a shady tree. Stereo looked over at Synth and told him, "Oh, Synth! I'm so excited! How much longer till our little egg hatches"? Synth happily replied, "I don't know, but I can't wait to meet our future son or daughter! It's going to be so *imitates air horn noises* when she finally arrives! And I'm so excited to become a dad"! Branch was carrying Harmony with him when he saw Synth talking to Stereo and came over, saying, "Hey, Synth. Stereo. How's the egg coming along"? Stereo happily replied, "Great! The doctor says it might hatch a week from tomorrow or sooner since the egg's looking very healthy. We're so *imitates air horn noises* to meet our child, the anticipation is almost squeezing the air out of us"! Synth asked, "Hey, Dubstep, you think you can give us some parenting tips once our egg hatches? We really want to raise our child well, so it grows up and becomes a great troll." Branch grinned and looked at Harmony, who giggled and flailed her arms happily, before Branch answered, "Well, with parenting, it's not an easy task, but you learn as you go, and most of the time, you'll develop a certain pattern that best fits you when raising your child. As long as you stay with that pattern, your way can end up being the best way, and your child will grow up under the best influence you can give." Synth smiled proudly while saying, "You know, I'm so excited...but I'm also nervous too about our child arriving soon. I mean, I never thought I'd ever end up here, and I couldn't be happier. I have a beautiful wife, who loves to party as much as I do, and now, I'm going to have a child who'll be just like us. I guess...I'm just a little concerned if I'll be able to do a good job, is all." Stereo kissed her husband on the cheek as she said, "Oh, Synthesizer, you don't have to worry about that. You won't be doing this alone since I'm going to be right by your side the whole time. We'll both work together to help our son or daughter grow up to be the best troll she can be." Synth began to feel a lot more confident as he locked lips with Stereo before saying, "Yeah. We can do it...together. We'll be great parents and do our best to make our little prince or princess happy and grow up with the right guidance and knowledge for the world."

Branch smiled from Synth's response as he then felt his daughter squirming and heard a tiny yawn escape from her mouth. He whispered, "Alright, Harmony. I'll put you down for your nap," and placed the baby pop princess in his hair so she could rest peacefully. At that moment, Poppy and her dad Peppy were walking towards the group and saw Branch putting Harmony down for her nap as she commented while walking towards her husband, "Aw! Branch, you're really doing a great job with being a father." She and Branch shared a quick kiss before the pop king replied, "Well, thanks, Poppy. You know, I've got to say, ever since we've had Harmony, I've never felt this happy before. Even if I don't show it on somedays, I do feel it. And...I'm just excited to be raising our little princess together." Peppy chuckled and commented, "Then, you must be excited for your first Dad-urday tomorrow." Synth, hearing this, commented, "Oh yeah! Now that I'm a dad too, or soon will be, I'll get to join in on the fun festivities this year! Though it'll be hard to do some of them since our child's still an egg." Branch then mentioned, "Well, this isn't necessarily my first Dad-urday, since I've spent a bunch of them with my remote, Gary." Poppy then playfully rolled her eyes and retorted, "To be fair, Gary is a remote, so in the spirit of rephrasing, let's say this will be your first Dad-urday with an actual trolling." Everyone broke into laughter as Stereo then asked, "Say, Poppy, I've heard of that holiday, but I've never understood what it actually is. Can you explain it"? Poppy nodded, saying, "Dad-urday is a fun holiday where trolls, kids, and even adults like us, get to be together and do classic dad stuff like having a catch, chopping wood, and telling dad jokes"! Peppy then said, "That's my favorite! Watch," as Peppy and Poppy soon wound up on a stage as a single spotlight shined on them both. They were both wearing funny hats as Poppy asked her dad, "Dad, did you get a haircut"? Pepy chuckled and replied, "No, I got them all cut," as he and Poppy broke into laughter. Synth and Stereo found themselves chuckling as the female Techno troll commented, "It's so corny, but so funny at the same time"!

Branch then mentioned, "Oh yeah. I am actually looking forward to tomorrow." Suddenly, he felt Harmony moving in his hair and brought her out, noticing that she looked to be fussy as he said to the baby, "Aw, someone looks like they had a hard time sleeping. Want to stay with your mam for a bit and see if you can get some quiet time"? Harmony rubbed her tiny eyes and whined a little, nodding as she then babbled a clear, "Bwanch," which made everyone gasp in awe. Branch was probably the most surprised because not only was this Harmony's first word, but...she said his name. He was her first word. Branch felt a sudden wave of emotions flood through his body: excitement, pride, shock, disbelief, and amazement. What snapped him out of his dazed thought was when Poppy picked up Harmony, saying, "Aw! Harmony said, your name, Branch! She really thinks of you so much." Branch had a huge smile on his face as he watched Peppy and Poppy leaving with Harmony as Synth commented, "Dubstep! You're so lucky! I know you're going to have such a fun time with Harmony tomorrow," as he and Stereo soon got up and left with their egg, leaving BRanch alone to ponder on something. While he was very excited about tomorrow, now, with Harmony saying his name as her first word...he felt a huge sense of pride, feeling like he was succeeding and doing something right, and Harmony was now seeing him almost like a...hero. But...then, he began to think that what he had planned for tomorrow wasn't going to be enough. What if it didn't impress Harmony? What if it makes her bored and not see him as her hero anymore? Branch began to panic internally until a voice spoke up, asking, "Uh, Branch, are you ok"? Branch turned around and saw Aggie, Holly, and R and B standing behind him as Holly asked, "Yeah, sugar. What's got your vest in ayy bind"? Branch replied, "It's Dad-urday. It's tomorrow, and I'm afraid that my plans with Harmony aren't going to be enough to impress her"! Earning a bunch of looks of confusion as his answer, Branch explained, "See, earlier, Harmony said her first word, and it was...my name. I could not help but feel so proud because it made my heart glow to see Harmony thinking of me as her hero. I felt extremely proud because it looked like I was doing everything right, and Harmony was growing up exactly how Poppy and I want her to."

Rhythm then commented, "Well, what you're saying sounds like a good thing. So, what's the problem, exactly"? Branch answered, "The problem is that since I'll be doing classic dad stuff with her, I'm afraid what we do might not impress her. Harmony thinks the world of me, and I don't want to lose something that special connection with her." Aggie then said, "Well, none of us have any Dad-urday plans tomorrow, so we'd be happy to give you a hand in showing off your Dad-urday skills to Harmony if that's ok." Branch began to feel a bit better as Holly added, "Yeah, Branch. We'd happy ta help you. After all, what are friends faw, raheet"? Blues added, "Yes to the yes, your majesty! With us helping you, your little girl's gonna have an amaza-bo-bonkers Dad-urday to remember"! BRanch smiled at his friends before saying, "Thank you so much, you guys. Now let's head to my bunker, and I'll show you the list of activities I have prepared to do with her tomorrow. And don't worry, unlike most of my lists, this one isn't 10 miles long." As everyone followed Branch, Aggie heard a rustle in the bushes and stopped to see what it was. She pulled open the bush and saw Melody curled up as she asked, "Mel, what are you doing"? Melody quickly brought the bushes back as she said, "I'm hiding. What does it look like I'm doing"? Aggie pulled Melody out of the bushes, and in confusion, asked, "Hiding from what exactly," as Melody answered, "My dad. He's been smothering me all week nonstop. It's a little embarrassing, and I was getting tired from it, so I thought I'd hide out for a bit and give my dad some space." Aggie then mentioned, "Well, at least he's spending time with you, and that's a good thing, right"? Melody replied, "Well, I mean, he's been loving, but lately, he's been way too loving! Yeah, it's a good thing, but the problem is that it's way too much, and almost all at once! I barely have any room to breathe and branch out without having him hovering above me or standing beside or behind me! And tomorrow's Dad-urday, which means it'll be a smother-overload! I don't think my father-loving spirit can withstand that"! Aggie then asked, "Ok, I can see where you seem stressed, but if I may ask, what does he do exactly that makes you feel so smothered"? Melody thought about it before answering, "Well, the main issue is that even though he knows I'm 20, he treats me like I'm a little kid, like if I'm still Evie's age. He likes to give those long and gentle squeezing but tight embracing hugs that little kids like, but I find it uncomfortable."

Flashback...

Melody was picking playing cornhole with her dad and tossed a red beanbag that landed into the hole. Her father cheered and shouted, "That's my little Melody," and gave her a big hug as the rock/pop troll slightly squirmed in uncomfortableness. A bunch of passing trolls saw this and snickered as Melody whispered, "Dad, let go! You're embarrassing me," as Bill happily replied, "It's ok, Melly. I'm just so happy to see my little girl doing so well in this game," and made his hug a little tighter while Melody squeaked, struggling to breathe, but at the same time, blushed in embarrassment.

End of flashback...

"Then, there are the embarrassing nicknames he gives me. Yesterday, he called me Melly B! In public"! Aggie then mentioned, "But there's no B in your name," which made the rock/pop troll state, "He likes saying that because apparently, I'm his baby "honeybee."

Flashback...

Bill was busy talking to a group of trolls as he said, "So, you see, the music that you play has a much deeper meaning to others than how you intend it to be. Only when you can express music can you truly feel the joy within you." He then saw Melody walking by and shouted out, "Hello, my little Melly B"! Melody froze, and her face flushed a deep shade of red as a few country trolls and rock trolls nearby broke into laughter. Bill walked up to his daughter while telling the group, "I call her that because she's my sweet, musical, baby honeybee. And I love her with all my heart." Melody did her best to idea her face in embarrassment as the group now started to chuckle in amusement.

End of flashback...

"But the worst part is when he brings up the most embarrassing memories about me that he thinks are "cute"! It drives me nuts; I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out each time! I can't even flashback to that because of how embarrassing it is when he does it." Melody covered her face with her hands as Aggie patted her on the back while commenting, "Hey, it's ok, Mel. I can see why you'd feel smothered, but in a way, he's showing you that he loves you." Melody sighed, adding, "I know, and I'm not saying I don't love it, but...I just wish he wouldn't embarrass me out in public with his open wats of showing affection. I know he's just trying to show me that he loves us a lot, but... it's just too much for me to withstand without feeling like such a kid mentally. Evie's fine with it, but I'm not." Aggie then said, "You know, I know exactly how you feel, Melody. I remember a while back, I was experiencing a sense of being smothered, just like you." Melody lowered her hands as she asked, "Were your parents being over-lovingly towards you," as Aggie shook her head, saying, "No, but Aunt Essence was. I mean, I couldn't blame her since she and Quincy originally wanted a daughter when Cooper and Prince D were born. And when I volunteered to be their honorary daughter, while I appreciated the love, I felt Essence was delivering too much of it towards me. It didn't help that sometimes, I felt a bit embarrassed when she displayed it out in public. But once I talked to her about it, she understood. Why don't you just talk to your dad about it"? Melody sighed and replied, "I want to, Aggie, but the truth is...I don't want to feel like I'm hurting him. I mean, we've just started to develop a bond with each other, and that's something I loved having with him, even if he takes it to the extremes. But I know he's only doing it because he wants to make up for lost time ever since he got revived. He already has Evie attached to him by the hip, metaphorically speaking, and he wants to do the same with me. But I fear if I tell him that he's smothering me, it might make him feel like he's no longer important in my life."

Aggie then commented, "Hey, look. I know that this might feel like it's hard to do, but the best thing a child can do with a parent, adoptive or biological, is being honest with them. Let him know how you feel, and I'm certain that he'll understand your problem." Melody smiled at Aggie before asking, "How are you always so smart," which made Aggie reply, "Eh, I guess it's just the caring side of e. now, I gotta go help Branch with something. Good luck with your dad," and flew off, leaving Melody alone to start walking back to her dad. The next day, it was officially Dad-urday, and every troll was up and about, doing fun activities with their fathers, ranging from fishing to picnicking and even having a catch. Poppy and Peppy were riding a two-seated bicycle as they both started to sing together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We Are You and Me~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poppy and Peppy: You and me, me and you, here together. Celebrating us on Dad-urday!
Oh, yeah, we're peas in a pod! We are crazy connected! And it's more than just DNA!
We are you and me, and we're a family! And so, we celebra-a-ate!
Love is in the air! And so, we raise our hair! For Dad-urday! For Dad-urday!
Over by the lagoon, Sophie was sitting in a chair, sunbathing with Chaz, who had special permission to be out of the hospital so he could spend the day with her. His injuries were slowly healing, and the bald spot in the middle of his heart-shaped chest hair was starting to disappear, but his leg still needed more time to heal. However, Chaz could care less about his condition because he was sending the day with his daughter, who could not be any happier than to be with her father. While laying in the chairs, both trolls looked up at the fun shapes in the clouds and used their fingers to form the shape of a nearby heart-shaped cloud. Then, Sophie picked up her clarinet and started to play party jazz as Chaz began to sign something while he sang to Sophie.
Chaz: You and me, me and you, here together. Spending time with you on Dad-urday!
I wouldn't ask for another troll like you! You're special to me in your own way!
We are you and me, and we're a family! And so, we celebra-a-ate!
Love is in the air! And so, we raise our hair! For Dad-urday! For Dad-urday!
Also, by the lagoon, or rather, in the lagoon, Synth was giving the egg a piggyback ride, with Stereo hovering above him to make sure the egg didn't fall off. Synth then pulled out a camera and took a selfie with him, Stereo, and the egg together before starting to cradle the egg in his arms and sing to it.
Synth: Together, we share such a deep connection! Filled with nothing but love, heart, and loads of affection!
While you still have time to come into the world, I can't wait to see my baby boy or girl!
Back on land, McJagger took Jasmine over to a vine swing and started to sit down as he placed Jasmine on his lap and sang to her as they both started to swing gently.
McJagger: The time that we have here means so much more! Than any valuable time that we can afford!
'Cause family is our greatest treasure, and with you, I'm feeling so much pleasure!
Soon, everyone, no matter where they were, started to sing together.
All: We are you and me, and we're a family! And so, we celebra-a-ate!
Love is in the air! And so, we raise our hair! For Dad-urday! For Dad-urday!
Back by the shoreline, Poppy and Peppy were setting things up to do some sunbathing when Poppy saw Sophie and Chaz sitting together and came over, saying, "Chaz! It looks like you're starting to feel better." Chaz chuckled and replied, "Well, I'm still a bit beaten up, but I'm getting there. But I could not miss getting to spend Dad-urday with Sophie, so I asked if I could have special permission to spend the day with her, and I was approved." Sophie then signed to Poppy, "How are you and your father doing"? Poppy signed back, "We're having so much fun. Glad to see you and Chaz are enjoying yourselves too." Peppy then spoke up, saying while signing so Sophie could understand what he was saying, "Hey, did you guys see that? The lagoon said hello. Didn't you see it "wave"? Peppy, Poppy, and Chaz broke into laughter while Sophie silently chuckled, as Poppy commented, "There are no waves in the lagoon." Then, Chaz saw Branch walking over to the shoreline with Harmony as he commented, "Say, isn't that Branch over there"? Poppy turned around and looked, replying, "Ooh! Branch is about to show Harmony a classic dad activity: rock skipping"! Branch had Harmony sitting on a blanket that rested inside a playpen as he said, "Ok, princess. You ready to watch Daddy impress you with some sweet skipping tricks"? Harmony giggled and nodded as Branch picked up a rock and then turned his head, spotting Holly behind a bush. He nodded at her, and she nodded back at him before spotting R and B hiding behind another bush on the other side of the lagoon. She nodded at them, and the funk delegate twins nodded back before dunking their heads in the water. They nodded at Aggie as she nodded back and swam into position. Once set, Branch gave the stone he picked up a toss as it splashed, sinking into the water at first before Aggie grabbed it and gave it a toss, making it skip across the lagoon.
Harmony seemed impressed as Branch then said while holding two rocks, "Like that? How about a double skip"? Branch tossed the stones into the lagoon as Aggie secretly grabbed them and gave them both a good skip. Harmony clapped as she then tried to babble something, which made Branch asked, "Did you like that? You want Daddy to do another one"? Harmony nodded and pointed at a giant boulder, which made Branch jump and scream in shock. However, seeing his daughter give him a cute, big-eyes look, he braved a nervous smile and struggled to pick up the heavy rock and make a hopefully good toss. Underwater, Aggie was trying to catch her breath when she saw a huge rock coming towards her and screamed. However, before she could escape, the rock landed on her, squishing the MMT, making her comment, "The things I sometimes do to help. Fun, but a bit...painful." Suddenly, Aggie could hear her phone ring and feel it vibrating. She used her rock hand, grabbed her phone from her hair, and answered it, saying, "Hey, dad"! On the other line, Galileo was talking on his phone as he asked, "Hi, sweetie. Listen, your mother wanted me to get a large round fruit. What would that be"? In confusion, Aggie answered, "Uh, a watermelon," as her father happily replied, "Great, a watermelon, thank you for telling me, though I do not see any watermelons in the forest." Aggie then commented, "You can buy one here in TrollsTopia if you're nearby. And if you do, can you stay for Dad-urday? It's a Father's Day kind of holiday." Galileo, hearing this, then answered, "I love to, but your mother wants me to return to work, or she'll kill me." Aggie silently snickered before saying, "Oh, I understand that. At least I can see for just a minute. It's worth it." Aggie could hear Galileo chuckling on the other lien as he replied, "I'll see you soon, honey," before hanging up. After turning her phone off and putting it back in her hair, Aggie used her strength to lift the rock off her body and flip it behind her. Unfortunately, it crushed a coral house where a family of glowing fish was living. She turned around and saw the family swimming in position from where she was, unaware she destroyed their house by accident and smiled while giving them a thumbs-up before leaving, unaware that the father fish was angry.
Back on land, there was one troll who wasn't partaking in any of the Dad-urday activities: Laguna. While McJagger had volunteered to take Jasmine out for Dad-urday, he asked if she wanted to join in too, but politely declined, saying that she needed to "catch up on her an"troll"pology studies." In reality, she was out on a walk, watching all of the other trolls have fun with their fathers. She noticed one little boy, a Techno troll, who was clinging onto a tree branch and shouting, "Help me, daddy"! His father, also a Techno troll, helped him down and placed the boy on his shoulders while saying, "Don't worry. I'm always going to protect you no matter what." Laguna felt her heart drop a little when she heard that before turning around and noticing McJagger sitting on the vine swing with Jasmine, who seemed to be enjoying it. Their daughter seemed to be having fun with her father, and McJagger was doing well for his first Dad-urday. But as she kept watching, Laguna started to feel a small twinge of jealousy. It hurt to see everyone getting to spend time with their fathers, and she had to spend it like she always did: alone. Even though Marcus was in prison, paying for his crimes, Laguna still wished that he never acted evil towards her and Finn. If he weren't, maybe she would have gotten to enjoy a decent Dad-urday for once. Her saddened state of mind was noticed by Quincy, who came over and asked, "Hey, Laguna. Everything ok"? Laguna looked up at the funk king and answered, "Well...not really your majesty." Quincy looked over and saw McJagger with Jasmine before placing a hand on Laguna's shoulder, saying, "Oh, I see. It's hard to celebrate Dad-urday when you don't have a father to celebrate with, huh"? Laguna then crossed her arms and slightly looked away, saying with slight anger, "The worst part is I do have a father, who I'd rather not discuss at the moment, but he doesn't give two crabs about my brother or me, pardon my use of foul language." Quincy understood well as he said, "It's all good, Laguna. You have the right to express your emotions however you see fit. But.. I'm also going to guess despite not wanting to take part, you do deep down, right"? Laguna gave a small, quiet nod as a reply, as Quincy then said, "I have an idea. Come with me for a second." Laguna followed the male funk leader over to a clear field where Cooper and Prince D stood, wearing baseball gloves on their left/right front paw, while Prince D held a baseball in the other paw.
Cooper ran up to Quincy, saying, "Hey, Dad," while Prince D added, "We're all set, dad"! Quincy hugged Cooper while saying, "Boys, we have someone special who'll be joining us for Dad-urday this year: Laguna Tidepool." Laguna became a bit surprised as she asked, "Are you sure, your funkiness? I'm not one of your children," as Quincy smiled, replying with, "It's perfectly ok. You shouldn't have to feel left out of Dad-urday because you don't have one to celebrate with you. In fact, for today, I'd like to be your "Dad for the day," if that's ok with you." Cooper and Prince D nodded in agreement as Laguna smiled, saying, "Thank you very much, King Quincy," which earned her a gentle, "No need for the formality, Laguna. Call me Quincy, or if you want, for today, you can call me dad or father." Laguna chuckled before replying with, "Ok...dad. Sounds a little weird for me to say." Prince D patted her on the back and offered her a baseball glove while saying, "No worries, Laguna." Laguna placed the baseball glove on her left wrist and looked at it, asking, "So, what do I do with this"? Cooper answered, "You catch a baseball with it! Watch! D, toss it to dad." Prince D tossed the ball to Quincy, who caught it with his own silver mitt on his left paw. He then took the ball out and declared, "Ok. Who's ready because this one's going to be a pop fly." Laguna asked, "Uh, might I inquire on what a pop fly is"? Cooper exclaimed, "It means it's going to be a high one"! Quincy stepped back a few feet and tossed the baseball high into the air while Cooper and Prince D began to run back. Laguna had a hard time seeing where the ball was because the sun's glare reflected on her glasses, making her bring her gloved hand up to protect her face and eyes. Suddenly, Laguna felt something enter her glove and stay in as she lowered her glove and looked inside, seeing that she had caught the baseball. Cooper and Prince D were happily surprised as Prince D commented, "Wow! That was a good catch, Laguna"! Laguna picked up the baseball and smiled, saying, "Wow. Note: That was exhilarating and...pretty fun"! She then threw it back to Quincy at a surprising speed and with such precision, making the male funk ruler comment, "Wow, you got quite an arm there." Laguna flexed her right arm while saying, "I guess I don't know my own strength."
Cooper then shouted, "Yeah! We're having a "ball," which made everyone break into laughter as Quincy said while preparing another throw, "Ok, who wants the next one"? Cooper, Prince D, and Laguna started to run back, prepared to catch the ball as Quincy did another high throw. With Synth, he was showing the egg around Trollstopia, saying as he pointed to a cupcake shop, "And over there is where you can get the best cupcakes around! There's a cupcake that has ice cream INSIDE! It's so *imitates air horn noises*"! Suddenly, he felt the egg shaking in its stroller as he peered closely, noticing a small crack developing on the top of the egg. His eyes widened in shock, and his mouth widened with a large gasp as he shouted at the top of his lungs, "STEREO! TROLLEX! AGGIE," while making a mad dash towards the hospital. Stereo and Trolle overheard Synth's shouts and jumped out of the lagoon, running towards the sound source. With Aggie, she watched Branch, who was building a dollhouse while attached to puppet strings, courtesy of R and B, when she heard a loud shout and recognized Synth's voice. She instantly said, "Gotta run," and flew off to find Synth, hoping he wasn't hurt. She, Trollex, and Stereo arrived at the hospital entrance, where Synth frantically greeted them and shouted, "Quick! Inside! We don't have a moment to lose"! Everyone rushed inside and into a room where Dr. Moonlboom monitored the egg, which was still in the beginning hatching stages. Stereo gasped loudly before saying as her eyes glistened in awe, "It's finally happening"! Trollex added, "Your egg! It's hatching at last," while Aggie said with happy tears forming around her eyes, "I never thought I'd feel so proud to become an aunt officially. I'm...I'm just so happy." Synth and Stereo walked over to their egg as synth declared, "Come on, son or daughter. You can do this," while Stereo added,d "Your parents are waiting right here outside in the world." The egg's crack got bigger and bigger as the group kept watching in suspense and anticipation.
Suddenly, where the tuft of hair was, the top of the egg slowly came off as a small, white, glittery head could be seen peeking out. The baby Techno troll slowly brought its head up, finally revealing its face to everyone, before nervously coming out of its egg, the top of the egg, falling back onto the rest of the egg safely. It was a baby boy, who looked almost just like its mother, except it had Synth's magenta thread-like hair, his green heart, no armbands yet, and green square pixels on its tail. Everyone thought that he was adorable as the new Techno guppy became scared of all the new faces and swam into Stereo's arms, whimpering gently. Stereo held the baby close while saying, "Aw, it's ok. Mama's here, and so's your daddy. Say hi to your daddy," as she showed the new baby to Synth. Synth was speechless but smiled brightly as he gently caressed the baby's cheek with his finger while softly saying, "Hi, little man. I'm your daddy. It's so great to meet you finally." Trollex watched his brother connect with his new baby, as well as Aggie, before something caught the MMT's attention. She turned her head and saw the egg...moving again? She stepped back and commented, "Uh, guys, I don't want to alarm anyone, but the egg's moving," which made everyone turn to look. Suddenly, the egg broke as another Techno guppy appeared, giggling. It was a baby girl, who had a pink bow in her one thread-like strand of hair, that was the same color as her mother. However, the baby girl looked a lot more like Synth, with his matching purple color and magenta eye color, but her mother's magenta heart and she also had blue square pixels on her tail, the color similar to Trollex's skin. No one dared to speak until Trollex commented, "You guys have twins"! The baby girl floated up to Synth and hugged him, babbling, "Dada," before hugging him, snuggling her tiny head into his chest. Synth looked at her for a moment before looking at Stereo, who had a proud smile while saying, "Hon, we have twins"! Synth chuckled while saying, "Yeah, and they're perfect." Aggie and Trollex approached the new baby guppies as Aggie softly said, "Hi there. I'm your Aunt Aggie." The boy looked at Aggie and freaked out before hiding his face in his mother's arms while the girl giggled. Trollex commented, "Aw. You have a shy baby boy and an energetic baby girl. Man, are they going to be a handful." Synth replied while cradling the girl, "Who cares? We're going to help raise them either way." Stereo then walked up to Aggie, saying,
"Aggie, want to hold one of the babies"? Aggie nodded and sat down in a chair as Stereo carefully gave Aggie the baby boy to hold. The white glittery guppy nervously looked at Aggie as she calmly said, "Hey, it's ok. I was once shy, just like you. But there's no need to be scared. Your family is here to help great take care of you. We'll make sure you're safe and sound." The baby boy seemed to stop feeling so nervous as he showed a small smile before squirming, wanting to be with his mom again. Aggie gave the boy back to Stereo before noticing Trollex holding the baby girl, who was tapping Trollex's cheek, thinking it was a game. The Techno leader chuckled, saying, "It'll be fun being your uncle. I just hope you don't wear me out too much." Aggie then asked, "Synth, Stereo, have you thought of names for your new babies"? Synth nodded and said while taking the baby girl gently and placing her in the stroller, "Well, for this little cutie, Stereo wanted to name her Seafoam but now," and heard the baby girl's cheerful coos, making him say, "How about Serenade? She sounds like she could soon have a beautiful singing voice." Stereo nodded, saying, "I love it. And I think for this little man, we'll call him...Soundwave." Trollex then asked, "Hold up. Isn't that the rave name you gave McJagger"? Synth chuckled while saying, "Yeah, but I think its suits our little boy better. Soundwave and Serenade. It's perfect." Stereo placed Soundwave into the stroller, next to his sister, as both Techno guppies yawned and started to fall asleep. Everyone watched this occur in awe as Aggie hugged both Synth and Stereo, saying, "Congratulations. I know you'll both do a great job raising them." After the babies were given a check-up and given the all-clear, Synth pushed the stroller and led everyone out of the hospital. Stereo walked beside Synth on the left while Aggie was walking next to him on the right. She couldn't help but watch the babies sleep so peacefully. Suddenly, she heard some weird chatter that sounded like it was calling her and turned around to see what was making that noise.
The chatter came from the father fish from earlier, who declared in his fish language, "You dishonored my family! You destroyed my house and ignored me, and you showed me your thumbs, which is culturally insensitive to my people, so now I will crush you!" Aggie was confused as he asked, "What"? The father fish started to angrily charge at her until a ladybug car came from out of nowhere, knocking it over, and to her surprise, driving the car was none other than Galileo. Galileo tipped his hat while saying, "Sorry, Aggie, but I don't have time to buy that fruit for you! Your mom said I had to drive the car all the way to Trollstopia." Aggie approached her father while saying, "No, dad, it was the other way around." Galileo realized his mistake and commented, "Oh, right. Trolls are being so confusing today." Aggie chuckled and added, "I know, right? Oh, and here's the watermelon I promised you." Aggie pulled out a watermelon and placed it in the backseat of his car as Galileo replied, "Thanks, Aggie," and tousled his daughter's rainbow-colored hair before driving off. Trollex, in confusion, came up to Aggie and asked, "Where did you even get a watermelon from," while Aggie replied as she and Trollex started to walk back towards Synth and Stereo, "It's a mystery." However, the father fish returned and tried to charge at Aggie again, but Galileo drove backward and hit the fish again, making him ride on the car's hood. The fish began to angrily shout at Galileo, who happily replied, "To Techno Lagoon? Sure, I can take you there," which earned a smile from the fish. Over in Pop Village, Melody was trying to stay on the down-low, hoping her father would not notice her. She was about to tiptoe towards the library when she felt something attach itself to her prosthetic leg. Melody looked down and saw Evie smiling at her, saying, "Found you! Daddy's looking for us! Come on"! Melody hesitantly tried to tell her little sister, "Yeah, uh, can you tell Dad I'm-," before Evie started to push her, making Melody walk forward and shout, "Ah! Ok! Ok! I'm going"! Melody and Evie headed straight to the ice cream shop, where Bill carried a large sundae towards a table. As he placed it down, Evie and Melody sat in the chairs while Evie's eyes sparkled at how massive the sundae was, asking, "Is that for us"? Bill chuckled and replied, "Well, I certainly can't eat it myself. I ordered your favorite: double fudge brownie chocolate with loaded caramel syrup and cookie dough."
Evie seemed to be in awe as Melody sighed in defeat, saying to herself, "Well, I do like ice cream, and that is my favorite flavor. Guess some ice cream couldn't hurt." Bill, Evie, and Melody all picked up their spoons and began to indulge in the sundae together. However, Bill noticed that Melody wasn't eating as much as Evie was, noticing the young rock troll almost inflated with ice cream as she commented, "I couldn't eat another bite." In concern, Bill asked, "Hey, Melody, are you ok? You're not eating." Melody replied, "Oh, I'm...just not that hungry. I had a pretty big breakfast earlier." Bill seemed to accept her answer as he said, "Well, you've always done have a ravenous appetite. I remember when you were only one, where one day, you were so hungry, you drank three bottles of milk in one sitting." Evie broke into laughter as Melody blushed and covered her eyes, saying, "Dad, please don't start telling me how it-," as Bill went off, explaining, "You were sick the other day and didn't want to eat a thing, and your mother and I were very concerned for your health. However, the doctor said that all you needed was a little time. The next day, you woke us up at 3 in the morning, and you were crying for food, Mal could tell. She cradled you, and I fed you a bottle, and you gulped it down faster than we expected it. After you finished your bottle, you cried out for another one, and I ran and brought you a new bottle, and you gulped that down pretty fast too." Evie was laughing up a storm while Melody had her head down, covering her face to cry the increasing blush she had, muttering, "Tell me when it's over." Then, Bill started to say, "And once you finished, you know what happened next? You were still hungry, and so-," before Melody intervened, slamming her hands on the table and declaring, "Ok, we don't need to know the rest of the story"! Seeing the sudden behavior change, Bill asked, "Melly B, what's wrong? You look stressed. You look like you could use a hug." Before Melody could protest, Bill had his arms wrapped around her and hugged her tightly. Melody struggled in his arms and felt like shouting, but instead, said in possibly the calmest manner that she could muster, "Dad...we need to talk." Those simple words were enough for Bill to separate and ask, "Sure. What's up"? Melody took a deep breath and said, "Dad, you know I love you and everything, but...you've been smothering me so much lately, and it's been making me feel embarrassed." In confusion, Bill asked, "What do you mean," as Melody explained, "You've been extra-loving, and while others might find that good...it makes me uncomfortable. I'm not saying that I don't like it when you hug me or call me a nickname now and then, but when you do it in excessive amounts, in crazy ways, and especially out in public, it makes others think that I'm a little kid. But I'm not a little kid anymore.
I know it may be hard for you to feel like that's true since you've missed so much, and I don't want you to feel hurt by what I'm trying to tell you, but I've grown up since the last time you saw me. A lot has changed since your "untimely departure." I'm not saying that I'm someone completely different, but I'm not the same two-year-old troll that you saw before performing at that concert. I'm older now, and while I love that we're finally getting to develop a father-daughter bond, I'd like it if you maybe started treating me as Melody Song and not just your rock/pop shmoochum." Bill was silent for a bit before he smiled, saying, "I know. It's just...well, I can't help but feel such pride in the young woman you've grown into. You may've grown up, but I can still see that young, playful, energetic spirit you've had since you were only a baby. You know, it's been tough for me to fully adjust to life these past few weeks because, you are right, so much has changed since the last time I was here. The formation of Trollstopia, everyone living in harmony, and seeing you make a name for yourself. You know, the job of parenting is not an easy one, but it is rewarding and, seeing you and Evie happy with life, living out your hopes and dreams, fills my heart with so much love. I love this job, being your father, and while I may not have been around to have seen you grow up, I could feel it; everything you've been through. You know, when I was your age, part of the reason I ventured out to learn about other kinds of music was that it allowed me to express a sense of freedom. I felt like I was able to play anything I put my mind to, and you know, if my parents were always around, showering me constantly with so much love, I don't think I'd ever got to really find my passion. and...I wouldn't have met Malinda." Melody chuckled, saying, "Then, I guess you understand how I feel pretty well then, huh"? Bill nodded, saying, "Melody, I'm sorry if I've been over-loving. You know I care about you and our family so much, but I guess I was going overboard. But, so that you know, you can always tell me if I'm egging on with the smothering. I could tell you cared about my feeling so much. You didn't want me to feel hurt when you told me the truth. And I appreciate that, but if something's o your mind, you shouldn't;t have to feel afraid to tell me. After all, that's what parents are for, right? To always be there to help their child whenever he, or she, needs a little guidance along the way."
Melody smiled as Bill then said, "I promise that I'll only act fatherly towards you at home, and if the rock trolls there give you a hard time about it, I'll call Corey and have her give them a talking to." Melody chuckled as she said, "I'd like that, dad. Thank you." Melody then thought of something and asked, "Say, dad, you wanted to teach me how to fish. Think we can go down by the pond and you can show me"? Bill nodded, saying, "Sure thing, Melody." Melody smiled before turning around and saw Evie, with her mouth covered in ice cream, who had fallen off her chair and was asleep on the ground. Bill and Melody quietly chuckled as Bill commented, "Let's put Evie down for a nap first since I think she's going to be out for some time. Then, I'll take you to my favorite fishing spot, and I'll show you how to reel in a big catch." Melody chuckled and picked up her little sister, saying, "Sure thing, Dad," as both trolls started to walk back to Rock Hollow. Back with Branch, he was bottle-feeding Harmony as she said while placing the now empty bottle away, "There you go. All full"? Harmony nodded and clapped her hands before laying on her father's chest. She looked up at Branch and babbled, "I wuve u," which made Branch's eyes water with tears of pride. Harmony had said her first full sentence, and while it was short, it was also adorable. Holly, Rhythm, and Blues were watching from the bushes as Holly commented, "That, y'all, is ayy healthy expressshun ov love ayn' affectshun raheet there." Branch felt like he was the happiest father in all of Troll Kingdom as he said, "Ok then, Harmony. Now, what's something you'd like to see daddy do next"? Harmony looked around before pointing at a large crowd of trolls that gathered by the stage. On top of the stage, Poppy stood tall with a three-choice spinner as she stated, "The Dad-cathalon! A special and unique Dad-urday tradition that tests the mettle of only the most Dad-venturous volunteers! We have three daring events that our lucky contestants can compete in, but which one will it be? Maybe the towering Daderhorn? Or perhaps venture deep into the dark and dangerous Dadacombs? Or even take on the toughest challenge: white-water rafting for dads, despite it not having a Dad-themed title"? The spinner soon stopped on a picture of a canoe on the water as Poppy declared, "White water rafting it is! And, to up the game this year, each troll can be allowed to ride with their child or children"!
The crowd seemed to be really excited, while Branch had a look of horror on his face. He was about to protest when Harmony looked up at Branch and whined, feeling concerned for him. she snuggled her head into his chest, trying to comfort him, as Branch felt a little better but remained concerned about doing this. Looking at Harmony, who had the "big caring eyes" look again, as Branch sighed, saying, "Ok, I'll do it." He slipped on a pink life vest onto Harmony as the baby giggled and clapped in excitement while Brmnahc prayed that nothing went wrong during this event. All of the dads participating were sitting in large boats they made using their hai, as their child sat next to him. Branch took some deep breaths in and out before he heard a familiar voice say, "Hey, Branch. Good luck to you." He looked up and saw that Chaz and Sohpie were next to him as he initially let out a shout in fright before asking, "Chaz! What are you doing here?! I thought you were resting at the hospital"! Chaz replied while signing so Sophie would understand, "I was, but the doctors allowed me to be able to spend Dad-urday with my daughter. And I know what you are thinking: doing something like this may worsen my injuries, but as long as I don't do too much physical activity, I'll be fine. Plus, Sophie and I have always wanted to go white-water-rafting together." Sophie then signed, "Good luck," to Branch, as he signed, "Good luck," back while Harmony squealed in joy. Soon, the starting rope was cut, and all of the dads competing were off. Everyone was floating down the choppy current as Brnahc held onto Harmony tightly, saying, "Don't worry, princess. Your hero Daddy's here to make sure you stay safe." While this kept on, Branch spotted that up ahead, they were about to enter the lazy river, which seemed like a breath of relief for Branch. However, his boat ended up hitting a patch of land, sending him in the wrong direction and towards The Flaming Whirlpool of Doom! Branch panicked as he saw that his boat was rapidly approaching the flaming whirlpool, first shouting, "How is this even possible?! Fire shouldn't even be active in the water," before screaming in panic. Holly, Rhythm, and Blues watched in a panic, unsure how they could help, as Branch looked at Harmony, who began to whimper in fright.
Branch hugged the pop princess baby tightly while saying, "Harmony, I'm so sorry! I just wanted to give you the perfect Dad-urday and impress you so you wouldn't lose your hero! I was worried you wouldn't be impressed with what I could do, and...I was afraid you wouldn't love me anymore." Then, Harmony did something Branch was not expecting and spoke, in a clear, non-babyish voice, saying, "But daddy, you didn't have to do all of that to impress me or make me love you any more than I already do." Branch's jaw dropped as Harmony said (Heads up, Harmony will be voiced by Ariel Winter as a future reference), "I love you for who you are already! I've seen you do things that no troll could ever do! There's only one reason you're my hero, daddy, and that's because you're my daddy, and I love you so much"! Branch hugged his daughter tightly before asking in a frantic tone of voice, "Then, what the hair are we doing here"?! Branch screamed in a panic again while Harmony cried as they began to approach the whirlpool's fiery center. Then, Harmony saw a branch sticking out and said, "Daddy, I got an idea," and pointed to the branch. Branch smiled and said, "That's my girl," And carefully launched his hair so that the boat would not become undone and wrapped it around the branch before pulling back. Then, just as they were about to reach the flames, Branch loosened the grip, and he and Harmony were both launched into the air, landing on the other side, right in front of the pack on Lazy River. Branch and Harmony looked at one another and cheered as they crossed the finish line first, greeted by a large, cheering crowd. Back on the stage, Poppy and Peppy gave Branch and Harmony gold first-place medals as Poppy said, "Congratulations to you, my Branchifier, and my little Harmony, for winning the race! How did you both get out of that whirlpool and pull off that amazing stunt anyways"? Branch looked at Harmony, who shrugged as Branch said, "Let's just say, it was a Dad-urday miracle." Branch then placed Harmony on her feet and knelt to her level, saying, "Harmony, I'm sorry if this holiday has been more or less of a disaster for you. I've been so busy trying to impress you. I lost sight of what Dad-urday is truly about: getting to bond with you." Harmony shook her head and commented, "You know, it wasn't so much of a disaster than you think. The truth is, I've had loads of fun getting to be with you, and isn't that what the spirit of Dad-urday is all about"?
Branch realized that his daughter made a good point as he said, "Yeah, I guess so. You know, I never did get to meet my parents and never got to celebrate Dad-urday with my father, but it makes me happy I got to spend it with you, my princess Harmony." Harmony and Branch shared a heartwarming hug as Branch was then greeted by Synth, who said, "Heartwarming stuff right there, Dubstep"! Branch picked up Harmony and instantly became surprised when he saw Synth holding his baby girl, Serenade, and Stereo standing behind him, holding their baby boy, Soundwave. He smiled, asking, "Wow! You had twins," as Synth nodded before saying, "Trollstopia! This Dad-urday is now extra special because it gives me great honor to introduce to you the newest members of Techno Reef, Techno Lagoon, Trollstopia, and the Techno royal family! Our twins: Prince Soundwave and Princess Serenade"! The crowd cheered in awe as Serenade clapped her hands while Soundwave peeked his head up before hiding his face in his mother's arms out of shyness. Poppy came over and looked at the Techno guppies while commenting as her eyes glistened in awe, "AW! They're so cute," as Branch mentioned, "They look just like their proud parents, who'll help them grow up to be great trolls." Synth smiled proudly as Branch then felt Harmony hop onto his head and shout, "Dad-urday rules"! Branch looked up at his daughter and smiled in content as he said, "This day has been enjoyable. I'm so happy"! Then, Peppy intervened, saying, "Greetings, "so happy." My name is Peppy," as everyone broke into laughter, laughing about the funny joke, despite it being very corny.
