Ch 39
Raven woke up to a pleasant sensation down her neck. As her eyes adjusted to what was around her, she realized Gar's lips were nipping at the skin of her neck. She smiled as his eyes met hers. Moving her face towards his, she kissed him before lying back down on the bed. She relaxed as his lips returned to her neck, creating new bruises that would become marks on her skin. When his lips reached the valley of her breasts, he moved his mouth to suck on the right one while his hand stroked the left one delicately. "G—Gar!" she moaned as he switched his mouth to her left breast, stroking the right breast with his hand.
"Hmm," he said as his mouth left her skin.
"Ke—keeping going please," she said as he didn't waste any time making a love trail with his mouth down her torso. Her fingers ran through his hair causing him to purr, which would amuse her if she was thinking coherently.
Lifting her long, slender, legs up, Gar spread them, resting them on either side of his face. As his lips got closer to her, he could smell her arousal. It was so potent that his mouth dived into her, causing her to cry out in surprise before pleasure took over her voice. While he was making love to her insides, he was massaging her legs, making sure she was comfortable. When he felt her body release, he swallowed her essence. "R—Rae?" he said as his eyes went to her sexy, sweaty form. He could tell she was satisfied.
"I—I'm all right," she said as he removed himself from in between her legs, lied beside her, and covered her up with a blanket.
"You know you look quite ravishing this morning Rae," he smirked as he kissed her bare shoulder before lying down. He sighed in contentment before he felt a comfortable weight lying on top of him. "Raven."
"You turn Gar," she said as her lips kissed him before her hands and lips moved down his well-defined torso. She smirked as the purring came back. Looking back at him, she could see the blush on his face.
Gar watched as his wife disappeared under the covers. When he felt her lips around his member, he began to relax, concentrating on what she was making him feel. Closing his eyes, he got lost in the pleasure that was Raven. Opening his eyes, he felt his body was out to release and he wanted to see what his wife looked like under the covers. Removing them, he was not expecting to see her deep, lovely eyes looking so breathtakingly beautiful at him that he shot off in her mouth, watching her swallow. "Da—damn Rae," he breathed as he felt her leave him. "Are you—?"
"That was quite intense Gar."
"Uh-huh yeah," he blushed. "Sorry I got carried away with the way you were looking at me. I was not expecting to be so turned on."
Raven curled up by his side as his arm went around her. She sighed in contentment. "I'm starving."
Gar laughed. "Well, we didn't work up an appetite. Why don't you go shower and I'll order room service? I know what you like," he smiled.
"Sure," Raven smiled, "sounds good," she said as she left the bed for the bathroom.
When Raven came out of the bathroom wrapped in a warm, comfortable white robe, she saw the table near the sliding door filled with food and a warm tea kettle with a tea cup. She smiled as Gar waited for her and pulled out her chair for her to sit. "Thank you, Garfield."
"Of course Mrs. Logan," he smiled as he sat across from her, placing his napkin in his lap.
"Ok, what's going on with you?" she asked with suspicion.
"Nothing Rae, I'm just really happy."
"Yes, I know that Gar but something else is going on."
Gar sighed. "Well, this going to sound stupid. I just want to be the perfect husband for you."
"You know there's no such thing as perfect Gar. I can't believe I have to tell you this, but you need to relax. You're a kind, thoughtful, wonderful man. You will still be those things as my husband. I love you, Garfield," she smiled.
"I love you to Raven," he smiled. "Now you must be hungry after all the amazing loving your husband gave to you last night and this morning," he smirked.
"Yes," she smirked, "I'll let him know when he gets back."
"Did you just make a joke!"
"I—mmh!" she exclaimed as his lips were on hers before she could say anything. She felt his hands move through her damp hair before they moved to caress her face. "Gar?"
"I always knew you had it in you Rae."
"Um, thanks. Can we eat now?"
"Uh sure thing," he said as he sat back down across from her. A smirk came to his lips. "We also can eat later tonight if you'd like."
Raven laughed. "Gar, that was a terrible attempt at flirting."
"Well," he blushed, "did what I mean come across or—?"
"Ye—yes," Raven blush, "but you're trying too hard, relax. This is our honeymoon Gar. We should enjoy it."
"You're right, let's eat!"
As Raven enjoyed her tea and the view from their hotel room, Gar went to shower. She thought this was the perfect opportunity to get some reading done. She smiled as she got lost in the story before she felt Gar's lips kissed her cheek.
"Why am I not surprised?" Gar smiled before he decided to get a better look of the view from their balcony. Dressed in just sweatpants, he opened the door and leaned his arms on the railing to see the city of New Azarath in all its majestic glory. He sighed, feeling the cool air hit his bare skin. He was excited about exploring this new world with his wife. "So, what's the plan for today?" he asked his wife, who stood beside him, observing the city below. He watched as she smiled at him, and he couldn't resist making out with his wife.
"No way, I can't believe it!" Gar exclaimed as he came upon another animal from New Azarath.
Raven smiled. "I had a feeling you would enjoy this place," said Raven as she watched her husband look at an Azarathian animal.
"Wow, it looks so similar to an Arctic fox but it's got a blue ethereal kind of glow. You know like it could cast a spell on you or something."
"You never know," smiled Raven. "Unfortunately I never took the time to learn about the animals of my dimension. I had to learn how to control my emotions at a young age. I was rarely aloud to leave my place of dwelling."
Gar wrapped his arm around his wife and smiled. "Well, now you have the chance to do the things you never got to experience. So, is there a library on this planet? Maybe we can learn about—Suddenly he felt himself being lifted from the ground and floating over New Azarath. Looking at his wife, he could see the eager look on her face. "To the library!" he exclaimed with vigor.
"The Library of New Azarath," said Raven as she and Gar stood at its' entrance.
"Wow, that's a big library," said Gar as his eyes traveled up the steps with his feet following behind him.
"It's like I remember," said Raven as they ended up inside. "I use to sneak out of my teachings and come to the library to get lost in the stories and for a moment I could forget what I was."
"There's nothing wrong about who you were then or who you are now Rae," he said, holding her hand. "So, I know where I want to start but where do you?" asked Gar as he saw rows upon rows of books.
"Let's find what you're looking for and then I'll go off on my own."
"Sounds good."
Soon Gar was sitting at a large table with 92 volumes of the New Azarath Encyclopedia of Animals. He had just started the first volume, excited to learn more about the animals of the planet and how to transform into them. After a while, he could feel his eyes begin to tire as he set the book aside, marking the page he left off at. Sitting back in his chair, his eyes bugged out as he saw the wall of books blocking his view. Walking around to the other side of the table, he saw his very contented wife smiling as she read. His heart swelled at the site as he made his way back to his seat and continued reading.
"Gar, Gar!"
"Hu—huh, what?" he said as he blushed, realizing he had fallen asleep and he could see his wife. "Hey, what happened to the wall of books? Did you read them all?"
Raven smiled. "I wish I could read that fast but no. I put them away, but I remember them all."
"Well, that's good. We can come back. Besides I'm hoping I can finish those volumes before we leave," he said before he saw a flash of longing in her eyes. "Ra—
"We should get something to eat. Then I have somewhere else to show you," she said as Gar followed her out of the library.
Gar sighed as he closed his eyes, feeling the warm, spring water relax him. "This is the life Rae, isn't it?" he asked. When he didn't hear her respond, he opened his eyes to see his wife deep in thought. "All right I wasn't going to say anything during dinner but what's wrong Rae? You seem off since we went to the library."
"What do you think of this place, Garfield?"
Gar smiled. "It's nice and peaceful here. Why?"
"Would you ever consider moving here?"
"You know me, Rae, always up for a new adventure. I wouldn't mind living here. Is that what you were worried about?"
"Yes, I just didn't want to take you away from your life in Jump City."
"You're really not Raven. We just have to go back and take care of a few things. Then we can come back here and start our new life as husband and wife in New Azarath."
"Really Gar," she smiled.
"Yes, really, now relax," he said as his arm went around her and her head rested on his chest. "I love you."
"I love you to." She sighed. "This really is the life Gar."
"You didn't happen to read anything about the real estate of this place, did you?"
Raven smirked. "As a matter a fact, I did."
Gar laughed. "You are too smart for your own good."
"I like to be prepared. When I was planning the honeymoon, I was curious about what it would be like to live here."
"Well, you don't have to wonder anymore. This is our new home," he smiled. "I couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of my life with you."
Raven leaned into his face and kissed him softly on the lips. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she deepened the kiss as Gar's arms went around her waist, responding to her kiss. She could feel him coming alive against her as she pressed deeper into his body. When she needed to breathe, she separated her lips from his. "We should probably get back to the hotel," she breathed into his ear.
"You read my mind, Rae," he whispered in her ear as his hand glided down her neck, giving her goosebumps.
"Gar," she moaned.
"S—sorry Rae, I didn't mean to distract you," he blushed.
A bunch of gasps was heard as the married couple disappeared from the spring pool in what seemed to be thin air. One woman had not been surprised by the empath's disappearance. She had smiled at the site like she knew the young purpled-haired woman.
