Chapter Thirty-Nine: First Boiling Point

Tattooin Main Line

'Well, no one recognizes me at least.'

Izuku was sitting peacefully on the train to U.A. High, complete with a hoodie and medical mask as Kensei suggested. He was overhearing some conversations, mainly about the Sports Festival.

"Oi, Nobuhiko. You remember that match with the green-haired boy?"

"Yea, Daiki. Holy crap! He literally went BAM, right into the peppermint guy!" said the boy, slamming his fist into the palm, for emphasis.

'I shouldn't be surprised by that, that fight was one of the highlights.'

However, another conversation got his attention.

"I'm genuinely surprised by how hard that pink girl fought," said a suit-wearing businessman. "It was stacked against her, but she kept fighting!"

"I'll be surprised if some Pro Heroes don't think of taking her on as an intern. She got heart!"

Izuku allowed himself a small smile, knowing that Ashido did her best, but there was another pressing matter: the news of Ingenium's assault. If anything, he felt a bit stupid, Iida's hero costume and Ingenium were extremely similar. It was very obvious that Ingenium was Iida's older brother, he felt more stupid for not picking up on the connection.

The kicker? The fact that Iida never responded to any of his texts, even his classmates, raised a few red flags.

'Iida is going to something drastic, I just know it...'

As the train was getting closer to U.A. High, he overheard a few more conversations too.

"The Apex Fist Royale, that was a surprise. I also did not expect that one kid with the spinning arms to go down that badly," piped up a goth-looking woman.

"He underestimated the enemy and paid the price, Kei. If he did that in real life, he'd be dead," said a blue-haired woman, likely a college student.

'Ouch.'

"Trina, you have to admit. Some of those hero students didn't underestimate them-"

"Only to be given the first real beatdown in their lives," interrupted the named Trina. "Especially the Yaoyorozu girl. She did not have a chance against Carmilla, she...she just wrecked her."

"However, it's a learning experience at the end of the day, you know that," answered Kei.

As soon as the train made its stop, Izuku made his way towards the doors, but the moment he made it through the doors, the hoodie fell off. All of his green hair revealed for the world to see.

"Ah, crap."

A good majority of passengers' mouths dropped, just now realizing that the winner of the Sports Festival was right in front of them, it wasn't as they could do a thing at this point.

Running was his next option.

Denon City Shinkansen

Momo was on the bullet train from the Denon City Station, but she couldn't relax. In fact, she had trouble sleeping last night. All of that research into Shichisei, mainly the incidents of the Chishi-Rengou and other criminal outfits he thoroughly eliminated, revealed a troubling theory: Izuku's teacher and Shichisei COULD be the same person.

'Okay. Remember the plan.'

She only hoped that Jirou would come through on her part with the plan.

'We corner, no, wrong wording. TALK to Midoriya after school.'

U.A. High

Izuku thankfully got off, making his way to school, but he felt a blur pass right by him.

"You're going to be late, Midoriya!"

"Wait, we have 15 minute-"

"U.A. students have an obligation to be 10 minutes early!" Izuku decided not to waste any more time, he picked up his pace and hurried inside. Today's forecast said there would be heavy rain.

As soon as he entered the school, he made a beeline for Iida, and well, no one's sure if it went well...

"Iida, your brother, is he-"

"He's fine," Iida responded, but Izuku noticed it. The tone of his answer was cold. "T...There's nothing to worry about."

"Are you sure, you-"

"I don't like repeating myself, Midoriya."

Iida's response was cold again, the boy knew it, Iida was hurting more. However, this also revealed another implication: was he going to pursue the Hero Killer? However, those questions would need to wait.

Homeroom was starting soon.

Homeroom

"I got surrounded by MMA fighters, saying they saw potential in me. They gave me some pointers on how to improve my striking game too!" Kirishima said, explaining his commute today.

"Well, that's not too surprising. The Apex Fist Royale played a big role too, but there's one thing that surprised me," Ashido responded.

"Like what?" responded both Kirishima and Sasukasa.

"One of my martial arts teachers was on the train! The same train I take to school!"

"W-Wait, are you serious?" asked Sasukasa, it then clicked within a few seconds. "The Chimera's Den, right?"

"Sensei Alexandra straight up said my performance was great," Ashido said, beaming with some pride. "Although she scared me saying we're going double-time once school ends. Hehehehe..."

Ashido was emanating some fear, making her two friends wonder if this Alexandra is a harsh taskmaster. In another part of the classroom, some noticed Todoroki was covered in some bruises.

"W...W...What happened?" a shocked Yaoyorozu said.

"Oh..." Todoroki said, realizing that his bruises didn't heal yet. "I found a martial arts teacher. Don't worry, he pulls his punches... to a degree."

"W...why?" said Yaoyorozu, afraid to know the answer.

"He said it was the first day, but...my teacher, Sensei Ryuki stopped knowing I was starting to bruise easily."

The raven-haired girl internally sighed in relief, but therein lies the question: who's Ryuki?

"I mean... do you need to go to Recovery Girl?"

"No, I feel fairly fine."

"I'm still unable to walk properly...ow...ow..." said Kaminari.

"What the hell happened to you?" Jirou asked, being very concerned.

"My sister's version of physical training. Involved throwing me. A lot," deadpanned Kaminari.

Jirou cringed upon hearing that but she did not laugh at all.

"Her base is Judo."

However, all talk was rendered silent once Aizawa walked inside, saying: "Good morning, students."

"Good morning, Mr. Aizawa!"

"You're definitely better, sir," said Kaminari, still in pain.

"The old lady's Quirk helped in some cases, plus she did suggest not to do much physical activity," Aizawa stated. "However, there's today's topic. A special Hero Informatics class today."

All of 1-A was starting to sweat, wondering if it was a quiz, term paper, or something worse.

"It's code names."

A collective sigh of relief was felt throughout the class, but also realizing that it's a good thing too.

"Settle down!"

With his Quirk active, he silenced the entire class. He pulls up a whole board via remote, showing off a large list.

"These are the Pro Hero draft picks. Usually, second-years and third-years get them in earnest because of gaining previous experience and being an immediate asset to the Pros. In short, the fact that they're extending offers in your first year means one thing: they are interested in your potential..."

The class knew there was a catch.

"...However, they can cancel those offers if their interest in you dies after graduation."

A few members of 1-A grumble that's very typical of adults, but one of the taller members, Kishijuu mumbled to himself, "So we're gonna have to prove ourselves once picked?"

Aizawa nodded, then shown off a list of which students earned the highest amount of internships.

Shoto Todoroki - 4123

Izuku Midoriya - 3700

Katsuki Bakugo - 3300

Mina Ashido - 400

Tenya Iida - 360

Ochako Uraraka - 200

Eijiro Kirishima - 100

Momo Yaoyorozu - 80

Yaoyorozu now wondered how did she get offers despite not making it through the 2nd Round AKA the Calvary Battle.

"Another factor for the draft picks was your performance during the Apex Fist Royale...despite a majority of you losing to professional fighters."

'You didn't have to bring that up, Mr. Aizawa.'

"Wait a minute... why did Midoriya get fewer offers than Todoroki?" said Mineta, pointing things out. The rest of 1-A actually agreed too but someone pointed out a possibility.

"It's because of the way he fights, is it?" Shoji said, a bit disappointed.

"Yes, that's one part of it," responded Aizawa. "Some Pros thought he was a bit relentless."

"Wait, really?" Kaminari said, still clutching some bruises. "Ow, but isn't that a bit unfair?"

"Look, it's not that big of a deal," piped up Midoriya. "I can't really appeal to everyone, but I'm still grateful for the offers though..."

"Yea, but you won the Sports Festival. That should have at least put you on equal footing with Todoroki," said Kaminari. Jiro was a bit shocked at the electric boy's response, there was some thought put into it.

"...I went too far in my match with Todoroki, did I?" Midoriya responded, a bit embarrassed.

"Midoriya, you almost did," piped up Aizawa. "Some Pros will get the impression that you lack restraint."

"I...I'll try to hold back more."

"See that you do, Problem Child."

Uraraka and Iida were surprised by the offers too, maybe some Pros saw some potential in them too. The former gushed at the number of opportunities while Tenya was...somewhere else.

"Hey, Iida?"

The boy was broken out of his trance.

"Are you okay?"

The blue-haired boy nodded yes, assuring that there was nothing wrong. Oh, if only she knew.

"Remember, you can talk to me or any of us, right?" Ochako said.

"Yes..." Tenya said, albeit subdued. "I'm fine, it's nothing, Uraraka."

"Are you sure?"

As Uraraka turned around, Aizawa said this little announcement. "Whether or not someone asked you, all of you will be participating in an internship with the Pro Hero of your choosing."

Some students were a bit surprised at this, especially the ones who didn't make it past the second round at the Sports Festival.

"Though all of you experienced real combat at the USJ, this is still a vital opportunity to see how a Pro Hero works on the field," continued Aizawa. "It's also part of the reason why Hero Names are being chosen today."

Aizawa then sat back in his chair, continuing. "Keep in mind, these hero names are temporary, and if you're not serious..."

SLAM!

"...You'll have hell to pay later!"

1-A was caught off guard by the classroom door being kicked open, and in came Midnight. Some of the boys were drooling already while others had heavy amounts of blush.

"Any Hero Name you come up with? It's going to become your professional name down the line, so make sure you really think this one through," the domantrix responded. "Otherwise... you'll be stuck with an embarrassing name for the rest of your career.

So pick wisely!" exclaimed Midnight.

"I'm usually not that great with this sort of stuff, so Midnight will take the floor. She's in charge of verifying if your Hero Names are okay," Aizawa said as he went to get a few things.

In a span of a few minutes, he came back with markers and dry erase boards.

"Remember the thing about Hero Names, you want to get a more concrete image of what you want to be like in the future," said Aizawa as he passed around the items to each student.

As soon as the last student got a marker and dry board, everyone got to work on their hero names, some erasing already, and this is where Izuku was thinking.

'Hmm... maybe... this one.'

"Once you are ready, we'll start presenting them!" announced Midnight.

"I got one, Ms. Midnight," said a scaly student.

"Oh, already, Kishijuu?"

Tyranno Hero: Wrex

"Oh, I like it! Fits your character and style. I definitely approve!"

Kishijuu sighed in happiness, waiting for the next one to come up. It was Aoyama who said: "Hold your applause..."

Shining Hero: I Cannot Stop Twinkling!

'Is he being serious!? That's way too long!'

"No... No... way too long," said Midnight as she grabbed the marker, correcting the name. "Shorten it here and take out the I too..."

Shining Hero: Can't Stop Twinkling!

"Je l'aime, Ms. Midnight."

"Wait, he's actually French?" questioned a student, revealed to be Sato. "So it wasn't an act at all!"

"Who's next?"

"I'll go next!" said Ashido who walked to the podium. "My codename..."

Alien Queen!

"Like that creepy monster with the acidic blood? Nope, Rejected!"

Ashido deflated as a response, saying "Aww... man."

Rose Fist!

"Hmm... close but not enough. Come back a little later."

'Are you kidding me?!'

Jiro went up next, saying: "Here's my hero name!"

Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack!

"Oh, I love it! Straight to the point!" Midnight said, approving. She motioned for the next student to come up.

"Well, might as well make it work," said Archer as she inhaled, getting rid of some of the jitters.

Sharpshooting Hero: Ms. Arrow!

"Huh, I like it. It has the balance of being approachable and someone not to be taken lightly, APPROVED!"

'Whoa, she actually liked the names! Now I don't have to wrack my brain for a clever one!' collectively thought 1-A.

"I know my older brother's gonna think I'm sort of edge-lord, but I don't care," said the faux-hawk student known as Kokotsu. "Here's my name..."

Bestial Hero: Wildblade

"Hmm... sounds a bit violent," Midnight said, sounding like she's gonna reject it. "Let me help with that."

"Wait, wha-"

"Change it here..." as Midnight corrected it with her marker. "Let's change the last part too, mainly to make it pop."

Beastman Hero: Wildclaw

"... Are you sure?" Kokotsu questioned, eye twitching. "Though Wildclaw? It fits more, but does it sound less edgy?"

"You'll be surprised by the number of fans who like brooding or edgy pros," responded Midnight.

Kokotsu sighed, believing it could fit. Here's hoping he doesn't regret it. He motioned for the next person to come up.

Sweets Hero: Sugarman

"I definitely approve!"

A mulberry-haired girl was next, mainly with some prodding from Ashido.

Scorpius Hero: Stinger!

"Hmm... I'm not sure if I approve of it, but one thing to say. It fits more for a pro fighter than a hero."

"Wait, that's a thing?!" said the girl, near-yelling.

"Quite so, Sasukasa. However, you want to correct this..."

Stinger Heroine: Scorpioness

"Huh, that's actually...good," said Sasukasa, the name sounds more heroic once saying it in her head, but it might be a tongue twister for any fan.

"Who's next?"

"Oh, I'll go!" said a purple-haired girl. "It's a bit of a pun if you don't mind. Now..."

Regenerator Hero: Re-Jen

"I like it! The pun involving your name and Quirk, it's art!" Midnight approved, then motioned for the next person to come up.

"Ooh, I'm up!" said a bubbly pair of floating clothes. "My name's..."

Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl

"Oh, perfect! and Next!"

Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi

"God of the night, it fits perfectly for you! Like I said to Kokotsu, there any many fans who enjoy the brooding type."

Tokoyami who chose the name, grunted in approval while Dark Shadow... was giving many thumbs up for it. A black-haired girl whose eyes were star-like walked up to the podium, clutched her head a bit.

"Hey, Suisei, are you feeling okay?"

"I'm fine, Ms. Midnight. Just overthinking the hero name for a bit, but I think I got it..."

Star Hero: Vega

"The brightest star in the Lyra constellation? Oh, I hope you live up to it! Approved!"

Suisei sighed in satisfaction, then moved back to her seat. The next student was motioned to come up, but it was... Mineta.

Fresh-Picked Hero: Grape Juice

"Very kitsch. Next!"

"I think I got one, mind if I come up?" said a student, revealing to be Asui.

"Come right up!"

As Asui made her way to the podium, she said this: "I had this in mind since grade school."

Rainy Season Hero: Froppy

"I love it, it's adorable which means approachable!"

A tall student made his way next as soon as Asui went to her seat, it was Shoji who sprouted another mouth.

Tentacle Hero: Tentacole

"Ah, nice portmanteau. Who's next?"

"I got mine, here it is!" exclaimed Kirishima who quickly made his way to the podium.

Sturdy Hero: Red Riot!

"Ah, you're paying tribute to the Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot, am I right?"

"That's right, he may be retro, but I want to be just like him one day."

"I hope you're up to the challenge because paying homage to someone you admire is never an easy task."

Kirishima flexed in response, wordlessly accepting the challenge.

Taping Hero: Cellophane

"Right on the nose, Sero. I like it!"

Martial Arts Hero: Tailman

"No surprises there, but it works!" Midnight said, approving of Ojiro's hero name. As soon as he sat back down, Yaoyorozu came up to the podium at a calm pace.

"I hope I can live up to this name but there's more I have to work on."

Everything Hero: Creati

"Creati-ve!" Midnight said, beaming a bit.

However, Kaminari was having some difficulty coming up with a name. It didn't help that he was still bruised from combat training with his sister, affecting his thinking for a bit.

'If only my sister's hits didn't have a stun perk to it... wait, stun. My Quirk works with electricity. Oh, oh! I got it!'

Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt

"Electric, don't ya think?"

"Tingly! Very tingly!"

"I'll go," said one of the students, revealed to be Shoto. As soon as he made it to the podium, he revealed his hero name.

Fusion Hero: Coldfire

"Oh! You accepted both sides of your Quirk?"

"Not only that but my martial arts teacher had a talk with me about hero names."

Haruunkaru Municipal Park

"Alright, Icey-Hot. We can take a break for a bit," said the man-mountain AKA Ryuki Kasumi. Shoto, on the other hand, was fairly exhausted and bruised. Emphasis on bruised.

"Right... master..." Shoto responded, panting for a bit.

"For a Hero Course Student, your hand-to-hand combat is sloppy. Got a Hero Name yet?"

"No... not really, I thought of just-"

"Using your real name? Kinda boring, don't you think?"

Shoto stared at him for a bit, wondering what's wrong with that.

"I mean, your Quirk lets you manipulate ice and fire. Gotta come up with something, Icey-Hot."

"You're gonna keep calling me that, aren't you?" Shoto deadpanned.

"As if that needs a response," Ryuki responded cheekily.

"Wait... I think your nickname gave me an idea... but I have to change it up a bit..."

"I'm still calling you Icey-Hot regardless of your hero name, just saying."

...

"Somehow I knew you would..." Shoto responded, deadpan once again.

"On top of that, he said that warriors from his country earn their names after many battles. Keep in mind, it was in the ancient past."

"That... sounds manly!" Kirishima cried, giving a thumbs-up in approval. "Wait, country?"

"He said he's from a country called Shura-Kokka."

"HEY! YOU'RE TAKING TOO LONG!" screamed Bakugo whom Todoroki ignored. The latter went back to his seat. "I'm next! I'll show all of you!"

King Explosion Murder!

"Nope, too villainous."

"WHAT!?"

"Why not Explosion Kid?"

"Oh, shut up, Shitty Hair!" said Bakugo, then he corrected his hero name.

Lord Explosion Murder!

"Is there really a difference?"

Bakugo was gritting his teeth in frustration, thinking that Midnight is rejecting them because they're too cool, but the reality is this: it sounds more like a finisher move in a fighting game.

"Alright, next!"

"I'll go!" said a bubbly voice. "I'm gonna be honest, this was a bit embarrassing..."

Uravity

"Oh, I see! Another portmanteau! Combining your family name and your Quirk name, I love it!"

Ochako sighed in relief.

"We got four more, let's hear it!"

It was Iida who went up, but he seemed less energetic, writing down this...

Tenya

"You're using your real name? Are you sure?"

The boy nodded, going back to his seat after.

'I knew it, there is something wrong! It's likely about his brother, I have to talk to him.' thought Uraraka, clearly worried about her friend. However, Bakugo came back, teeth-gritting, saying: "I got it now..."

Nitro Hero: Ground Zero!

"It fits your personality! I definitely approve!"

"Fucking finally..."

"The last two should be Midoriya and Koda."

The shy one of 1-A, Koda, walked up to the podium, completely silent.

Petting Hero: Anima!

"I love it!" exclaimed Midnight. "Now there's-OH! I almost forgot. Ashido, do you have a hero name now?"

Ashido ran up to the podium, saying "Here it is!"

Rosedancer!

"Wait..."

Ashido was staring at her, wondering if she's gonna reject it.

"It definitely rolls off the tongue, plus your dance-like moves at the Sports Festival...

I definitely approve! Make it work!"

The last one was Midoriya who scribbled his hero name, then shown it off to the class. Some wondering if it ties to his martial arts teacher, but Aizawa was somewhat suspicious about the name.

"Wait, the guy who fought that spiral guy..." Kaminari said, putting two and two together. "That was your teacher?!"

Midoriya confirmed via head nod.

Jiro sputtered a bit, asking: "Was he t-"

"Oh, no. He was holding back more than usual. He actually goes a bit harder when we spar," Midoriya answered, no hint of blowing up the truth was detected.

The whole class was a bit scared, except for Ashido who SEEN first-hand how he trains. Oh, Todoroki wasn't that shocked either, considering that Ryuki was of a similar caliber. He still feels the bruises.

"Midoriya, are you actually sure you want that name?" said a stern voice, revealed to be Aizawa.

"Definitely."

Suiken

"Emerald Fist actually does fit..." Kaminari responded. "What? It does."

UA Staff Room

Toshinori was fidgeting a bit, especially about whom sent him a letter.

"oh...no...it's him!"

An old teacher that he really did not want to see again, and worst of all, he was demanding his successor.

'HOW DID HE FIND OUT!? HOW?!'

NAME: Gran Torino

REQUEST FOR: Mirio Togata AKA Lemillion

LOCATION: Grogu City

"I only hope that Young Togata is prepared for the long route ahead..." Toshinori said to himself, still shivering.

"That takes care of everything, but there's something you need to know about the Hero Internships. It will last for a week, but there's a catch to it. For those who didn't receive offers, there will be a list of 40 agencies. You need to choose which one fits your overall plan as a hero," said Aizawa.

"One example being Edgeshot who specializes in taking down villains via close-quarters combat. Another example being Selkie who specializes in rescues from disasters at sea than fighting Villains," added Midnight.

"You need to think carefully on which Pro you'll intern with. For those who got offers, their selections are limited to their lists."

BRING! BRING!

"You're dismissed, class. One more thing, you have two days to choose the Pro of your choice," said Aizawa as he made his way out the door along with Midnight waving goodbye. The door was shut on the way out too.

"So, Iida? Any ideas?" said Ochako, trying to get him out of his funk, but he seemed laser-focused. "Iida, are you alright?"

"Oh... oh... sorry about that, Uraraka," Iida responded, but his responses felt forced. He was looking at his offers, but one stood out.

Hero Name - Normal Hero: Manual

Internship Offer: Tenya Iida

Location: Hosu City

'It's only a matter of time... before I fucking find you... Hero Killer. Once I fucking-'

"Class Representative?"

That broke him out of his trance, revealed to be Yaoyorozu, but Iida kept saying he was fine. However, it was a bit forceful.

"J...Just remember, you can talk to any of us, you know that, right?" Yaoyorozu said, albeit pleadingly.

SLAM!

"I told you I'm fine!" near-yelled Iida as he slammed his fists on his desk. "I... I understand, but let me deal with this on my own, okay?" Iida bowed in apology as he decided to go to the restroom to calm himself down.

"I'm getting worried, he's taking his brother's attack far harder than I thought."

"You don't think he's-"

"Wait, no. He wouldn't, right?" questioned Ochako. "As I remember, the news said Ingenium was attacked in Hosu...City..." said the girl as she slowed down, coming to a realization: Iida was going to pursue the Hero Killer.

"We have to notify someone. Aizawa or..."

"Wait, where's the staff room?" asked Ochako.

"Down the hallway!" responded Yaoyorozu as she moved out the door, Ochako following behind too. As soon as they were gone, the tension went down, only for a bit. Midoriya was thinking this: he has to confront Iida at some point today before internships start.

"Hey, Midori," exclaimed Ashido, surprising Midoriya. "So which Pro are you gonna intern under?"

"OH, well... there's quite a few... but..."

"But?"

"This one hero," Midoriya said, pointing to a ninja-based Pro Hero.

Hero Name - Ninja Hero: Edgeshot

Internship Offer: Izuku Midoriya

Location: Kurismo City

"Wait, a ninja? Awesome. I bet you'll out-sneak Aizawa by the time these internships are done!"

"Maybe... maybe..." responded Midoriya with a cheeky smile. "What about you, Ashido?"

"You would be surprised, Midori," said Ashido as showed him one of her internship offers.

Hero Name - Rabbit Hero: Mirko

Internship Offer: Mina Ashido

Location [Current]: Kushiba City

"Huh, that's a bit farther in West Tokyo, almost reaching the border far. I don't mind it though!" said Ashido, still excited at the prospect of training with a pro heroine such as her.

"Kurismo City - That's actually outside of Tokyo via train-line."

"Oh! We might run into each other then!"

"Most likely!"

As they were talking, Jirou and Kaminari were debating on which Pro to intern with.

"So which one, Jamming-Whey?"

"Hmm... I'm thinking. Oh, this one!" Kaminari said, pointing to a lion-like hero with a fang-like mask to boot.

Name: Lion Hero: Shishido

Status: Accepting Interns

"Wait, why?" asked Jiro.

"Oh, you know how I short-circuit my brain after using my super-move?" Kaminari responded. "How about lowering the voltage and applying it to my body?"

"Wait... apply it to where?"

"It's something my sister said, my reflexes need to be faster. I know it's not much to go on, but it's an idea at least!"

"Wait, are you talking about giving your body a quick boost via your Quirk?"

"Yes, yes, exactly right, Jiro!" happily said Kaminari.

"So there is a brain in there, it just took your sister Judo throwing you to jump-start it," said Jiro, albeit with some teasing on the last part.

"Hey!" Kaminari yelped.

UA Staff Room

"Mr. Aizawa, Mr. All-Might, there's something we need to-"

"Easy, Young Yaoyorozu and Young Uraraka. What is it that you need help-"

"We think Iida is going to do something drastic!" Ochako said, interrupting All-Might. Aizawa and the Number One quickly paid attention, but the former asked this.

"Tell me everything you know."

"He's gonna chase after the Hero Killer!"

"It's because of what happened to his brother, is it?" questioned Aizawa, wanting to verify it.

"Yes!" responded Yaoyorozu and Uraraka.

"Wait, did one of the offers come from Manual? The same hero operating in Hosu City?"

Aizawa nodded, confirming it.

"Young Iida, he's clouded by sadness and anger..."

"Plus on top of that, he seemed to be running ragged, like as if he was exercising constantly!" said Uraraka. "But took no breaks at all!"

Aizawa halted them from speaking further, "Thank you for bringing this to my attention."

UA Ending Period

As the last period of the day was coming to a close, there was still some tension, mainly being emitted by Iida. However, the bell rang. In an orderly fashion, they left the classroom.

"Hey, Iida."

The blue-haired boy quickly turned around but saw it was Uraraka. "Oh, Uraraka. I'm sorry for how I acted earlier," Iida responded, bowing.

"Look... we need to talk."

Iida didn't like where this was going but followed her to her locker. However, he knew this was something he wasn't gonna like: he saw Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, and Jirou?

"Uraraka... what is this?" Iida said, but there was an edge to his tone.

"Look. Before you-"

"I. Told. You," Iida said, gritting his teeth. "I. Am. Fine."

"No. No, you're not," said Yaoyorozu. "You are hurting-"

"Oh, screw you!" Iida near-yelled. He stepped closer, but Midoriya steps in, being a buffer.

"I know what you're going to do."

Iida's eyebrow twitched, saying: "I don't know-"

"You're planning on going after the Hero Killer, are you?"

"...and if I am?" responded Iida, almost daring someone to say it. Izuku instinctually took a combat stance, much to the dismay of Yaoyorozu and Uraraka, plus Jirou who backed away.

The other four recognized it right away, it was the same stance his master took when fighting Kaibara.

"Iida," Midoriya said, but there was a bit of force in his voice. "Don't make me do this."

"Do what, Midoriya."

"You're angry, hurting all over, and most of all, I can tell. You want vengeance," Midoriya responded, but it was a bit softer. "You want to kill-"

That was it.

"Oh, really?! COMING FROM YOU! OF ALL PEOPLE!" screamed Iida as he attacked, throwing the first punch.

BAM!

To the speedster's shock, his blow was stopped short by Izuku's quick guard. However, Uraraka and Yaoyorozu were near-yelling at them to stop this scuffle now, but Jirou had to hold them back because the two of them are not thinking clearly.

Izuku took advantage of the momentary shock to knock some sense into him, but before that...

WHAM!

Iida's head went up! A fast knee strike that was too fast to see. Iida was stunned, but the green-haired boy wasn't gonna let up. He grabbed him by the head, then threw his ENTIRE body onto the ground. Over the shoulder.

WHAM!

"Ah, fu-"

Iida's sentence was stopped by an elbow into the nose. With Midoriya's entire body weight thrown into it.

POW!

"Midoriya, stop this! You're-" exclaimed Yaoyorozu, but Midoriya wasn't gonna stop. Not one. Fucking. Bit. However, he felt tugs around his waist, turning his head, and he saw... Uraraka? Crying.

"Please... stop... he's had enough. He's hurting." She said that, sniffling.

"Midoriya, y...you might actually kill him," Jirou stated, frightened of Izuku's violent side. She won't admit it, but the way he handled that mutant monster at the USJ, scared her.

Yaoyorozu, on the other hand, scrambled to get Iida up, but he had to be held back.

"Let go, Yaoyorozu!"

"No, I am not! This fight is over."

"Not until-"

"Is going after the Hero Killer really worth it?! Your own life, your friends, your bro-"

Iida's eyes gained a deadly glow to them, saying in a darkened tone. "Don't you dare... don't you fucking dare."

The blue-haired boy got out of her grip but didn't push his luck, and went on his way to the exit. He kicked a locker in anger in good measure. However, all eyes turned to Midoriya who was still held back by a still-tearing Uraraka.

"What the fuck was that, Midoriya?!" Jirou yelled. "W-What was that supposed to do?!"

"He's gonna go after the Hero Killer regardless."

"...No... No... he-" Uraraka pleaded, she didn't want to lose her friend, but she's not sure if she can stop Iida from doing that.

"Wait, your little beatdown was supposed-"

"He wasn't gonna talk anyway!" loudly responded Midoriya. "Iida's very much focused on revenge, it just proves that he wasn't going to be convinced."

Yaoyorozu slumped to the floor, now realizing that talking to Iida, trying to convince him to stop was going to fail. However, she remembered something.

"O-Oh, right. I notified Aizawa earlier today, mainly about Iida."

Midoriya and Uraraka sighed in some relief, but the latter really hoped that Aizawa could intervene on time. They knew Iida would do something drastic, but whether he would live long enough to regret it? That's the big question.

Iida Residence

He made it home but discovered that he was alone. Mom was likely visiting Tensei, this meant one thing...

"Who does Midoriya think he is?!" Iida near-shouted. However, he needed to breathe, calming himself down. "I let my emotions override my judgment... they were trying to help me..."

However, it all led back to the moment...

"It's all because of him...the Hero Killer. He did this!" Iida snarled. "He did this. He's responsible for this!"

He slammed his fist at the wall, he barely noticed the bleeding. Iida then clutched his fist in pain, but refocused on his main goal:

Finding the Hero Killer.

Making him pay.

Even if he died in the process.

AN: It's French for 'I Love it.' And with that alone... I think I angered the Iida fans.

The references to Star Wars: Kushiba is to the Rabbit-like species from Star Wars EU, called the Kushiban. Kurismo is a reference to Krismo Sodi, a rogue leader over a group called the Kage Warriors, basically SW's equivalent to ninjas, and he's from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Grogu is the most obvious one, those who watched The Mandolorian know who I'm talking about.

Oh, don't worry about Stain. Let's just he's gonna get some Kengan-level boosts.

Stay tuned for the next chapter!
