Hellooooo! New chapter is out and I hope you like it! I won't bother you anymore with author's notes so let's go to the juicy part, shall we?

I don't own One Piece but I do own the own

LOVE YA ALL!

Elga walked with fast and big steps, heading towards the festival's exit.

Everything around her seemed to have been turned soundproofed, hearing just a light buzz but nothing that made sense.

Actually, there wasn't something that made sense in her life right now.

Her mind was completely lost at the scene she witnessed previously and just left her feet lead her body mechanically somewhere.

There wasn't any specific place she wanted to go, just anywhere except from this place.

Suddenly, she accidentally bumped someone but continued moving as she was too abstracted by her own thoughts to care.

"Elga-chan?"

She heard her name and stopped turning her head towards the source with a blank from emotions look on her face.

"Elga-chan? Are you alright? I thought you were together with Law!" a familiar polar bear questioned the girl with concern on his eyes.

The brunette glanced over him and the two confused cousins.

"I thought we were together too…" she answered and began again walking until Penguin caught her hand.

"Did something happened? Why don't you sit with us to cheer you up?"

"EEEEEElgaaaaaa-chaaaan~~~ stay with us! We will have sooo much fun!" Shachi suggested but the girl took her hand back and turned her back to them.

"I'm a bit tired. Have a good time. Goodnight." she replied in a serious tone and disappeared into the crowd again.

Finally, after some minutes she reached the festival's exit and crossed it without even looking back or having second thoughts.

"Are you leaving already? The best part is about to begin!" a voice said.

Elga gazed at the girl in front of her and didn't look like a face she had met before.

Dark cooper hair, chocolate skin and big round hazel eyes. She was standing alone hoping for a company to enjoy the festival while holding a bottle of beer.

"The name is Delaney, nice to meet ya! You can call me Del for short. I'm new here!" she added and lifted a hand for a handshake.

Elga wasn't really in the mood right now for acquaintances but nevertheless reached her own hand too, to act polite.

"I'm sorry but I have to go." Elga responded and walked off.

*Hmph, rude…*, the other girl thought and took a sip of the refreshing liquid.

"Lana-ya! What do you think you are doing?!", Law pushed the greedy girl away from his body and grabbed her shoulders with his hands so as to maintain the distance between them.

He immediately checked on his surroundings in case Elga was somewhere near and saw them but he couldn't detect any sign of the girl.

"Who are you searching for Law-kun? Am I not enough for you?!" the blonde asked him, taking gently one of his hands and placing it on the top of her heart.

Law took back his hand in a harsh way, something that made the girl frown with anger.

"What more does she has, anyway?! Look at ME Law!" her voice changed into a more irritated one and turned his chin so as to face her with force at the last state.

This move made Law give her a death glare and removed her hand from his face.

"Get to your senses and don't surpass the limits Lana-ya. There is nothing between us." he replied and started walking in order to search for Elga, leaving the other girl behind him in a mess.

"This is so unfair! I know you before she even laid her eyes on you and I have feelings for so many months! I LOVE YOU LAW!" Lana yelled out of her lungs and even many some people turn their heads to look at her.

"You just like the image you have for me inside your mind. You don't even know me to love me. Stop acting childish. You are only embarrassing yourself right now…" he said back in a calm tone and continued his way.

"This is so unfair… t-this is s-so unf-fair!" she mumbled repeating her words and bitted her down lip in an effort to restrain herself from crying. An unsuccessful one though as she immediately felt her hot tears running on her cheeks.

She brought a hand to wipe them away and took a deep breath to calm herself, feeling the need for some alone time and so she walked off too.

Elga found herself wandering inside the frozen forest at her way back home.

However, she suddenly stopped right in front of a crossroad leading to two paths, one at her right side and one at her left.

She knew pretty well which path she had to follow in order to arrive at her destination but didn't feel like she wanted to go back at the small wooden cabin yet and that's why she made up her mind to continue at the left one.

She had never been on this side of the forest before but little did she care about that at the moment. All she wanted to do was get some private time, away from everyone who would ask annoying questions.

With every step she was taking, heading herself deeper into the woods' wild side, the more her heart sank into the night's darkness.

The only sounds that were heard on the background were the owls' cries and the trees' rustles against the cold wind.

Once her adrenaline levels got lower, she also began to freeze and had to embrace her torso with her hands to provide some warmth.

Maybe getting lost wasn't such a good idea after all…

Not that she was scared of the weird shaped shadows moving around her, or the glimpsed of the animals' eyes that would appear here and there.

She left a sigh from exhaustion and decided to sit upon a fallen limp to get some rest and so did.

Suddenly, she felt her eyes heavy and closed them to ease the pain that crying had caused.

The next she knew was that she had fallen asleep.

"Follow me"

"Follow me"

"Follow me"

Elga shut open her eyes only to see that the moon was still high on the sky and some fireflies surrounding her.

"Follow me to find what you search for."

The mysterious voice was heard again and Elga stood up from her seat and started following the path the fireflies were revealing to her.

After some minutes of walking she arrived in front of a rather cute little house in the middle of nowhere.

There were lights inside which meant that someone was living there.

The fireflies stopped right in front of the door and Elga understood they were gesturing her to open it and get inside.

A pleasant warm feeling welcomed her cold body and the brunette closed the door behind her so as to maintain the house's comfy temperature.

She continued walking to the room ahead to find out an old woman sitting on a sofa while knitting a dark red scarf.

She didn't say a word to her guest but just lifted her head and smiled to her kindly.

There was a plate with hot steaming stew placed on top of the room's table, nearby the fireplace and the elder gestured the girl to go and sit there so as to provide her some company.

Elga's stomach growled from the lack of energy and the girl thought it would be alright not to upset the old lady. So she sat at began eating with great appetite.

"The truth you search for is near but you have to decide between peace and fear."

The voice was heard again and the confused girl lifted her head to search for the source.

"Choose wisely because consequences may destroy your self-defenses."

"Who is talking? Why do I have to choose? What do you mean?", Elga asked and glanced over the old lady who was continuing her job like nothing happened.

"Wrong will be right when the darkness comes in light.

Keep that phrase dearly in mind if you want the memories to come in sight."

"H-how do you know about the amnesia? Answer to me!", she jumped from her seat scared and approached woman who was smiling at her.

Then the old woman lifted her hand and cupped her cheek in a gentle motherly touch.

"Choose wisely what it needs, to set your mind finally in peace

but don't forget whatever you do

to keep the love into your heart too.", she replied and with that she brought the newly knitted scarf around the girl's neck.

With that Elga felt sleepy again and kneeled down on the floor, relaxed by the woman's touch on her hair.

The next second she had fallen asleep.
