Yukin went back to his house and checked on Drewsin. Drewsin hasn't really changed. He's still out of it, and that means he can't really help him. Yukin is confused as to what's happening to him, but he's pushing it aside for the tournament.

'I'm entering the final parts of the tournament with Zoey and Siegrain." Yukin said. "I wish you were awake and would tell me what I want to know. I don't know why, but I feel like there's some sort of connection between us." Yukin wish he could get answers, but there's nothing he can do for now.

"Yukin, we better get going!" Yuzu called.

"Coming, Mom." Yukin said. As much as he wish he could figure out what's going on, he needs to focus on the tournament that could make his dream a reality. What Yukin doesn't know is that things are going to change around.

The Arena

Yukin arrived at the arena. He, Zoey, and Siegrain have done well to make it as far as they have. He walked out on the field and was met with Zoey and Siegrain. He looked around and saw there were some other duelists still around as well. There's still some ways to go

"You made it." Siegrain said.

"Like I was going to miss this." Yukin said.

"Hey..." Zoey said as she walked over and whispered something to him. "Any change with Drewsin yet?"

"Not yet." Yukin said.

"Hey. What are you two whispering about?" Siegrain said. "Stop keeping me out of the loop. I want to know what's going on too."

"Well..." Yukin said, but wasn't really sure what to say.

"Yukin, look." Zoey said as she pointed across the field. Yukin looked and he saw Shun standing there.

"Shun! Time to get some answers." Yukin said as he walked right over to him. This was his chance to find out more about this Promin Academy and Soto, to see if what Drewsin has been saying is really true.

"Yukin!" Yukin was surprised as he was cut off by Reese. "Hey. It's been a while."

"Reese? I guess it has." Yukin said. "I wasn't aware that you were still in the tournament."

"I sure am. I've actually improved on my dueling since the last time we saw each other." Reese said. "I was able to beat that Seymore from LID thanks to it."

"You were able to beat Seymore?" Yukin said as he was a little surprised. He remembered how strong Seymore was when they dueled. "Listen, Reese. I like to talk, but there's someone else I need to talk to."

"Ladies and gentlemen, we're about to start the next stage of the adolescence division of the Junior Champion League!" Nemo announced. It was about to start and saw there was no time for Yukin to talk to Shun. "Our sponsor from LID, Renji Abarin, will explain the next stage."

"Thank you, Nemo." Renji said as he stepped forward. "The next stage shall be a battle royale!"

"Battle royale?!" Everyone said. Eli, Yuzu, and the kids were up in the stands. They heard the announcement themselves.

"What's a battle royale?" Augustus asked.

"It's where multiple duelists go against each other." Nathan said. "I can't wait to see how this one plays out. I bet it's something like how the last two duelists are left standing."

"It is sure to make things interesting." Yuzu said. "Of course no matter what happens, only one will be left standing and will be the one to win."

"You got that right." Eli said.

"And that will be Reese!" Yuzu cheered with all of them getting surprised.

"What about your son?! Not to mention my daughter and Siegrain?!" Eli said. "Besides, my special flower is the one that's going to win it all! She's going to do great!"

"Hey, shouldn't we call Soto or something?" Alyssa said. "He's going to miss everything. Don't tell me he's still in the hospital."

"We haven't heard anything from him. I can't seem to get in contact with him either." Nathan said.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Sakuma. Has Yukin mentioned anything to you about Soto?" Augustus asked.

"Frankly, no." Yuzu said.

"Zoey hasn't said anything about him either." Eli said. "I sure hope everything is okay." They have yet to know the danger their kids and everyone else could be in.

"You will duel everyone at once." Renji said. "When you lose all of your life points, you will be disqualified. Salvage them to survive. As for where you will be dueling... It will be all of Merge City!"

"All of Merge City?!" Zoey said.

"How can we do that?" Siegrain questioned. "We're only allowed to move freely thanks to the reality generator. I thought that without them, we have to stay stationary." Some of the people were confused as to how this was going to work. Luckily, Renji showed the answer as he snapped his fingers. Out in the city, the roads were opening and towers were rising out of them. The towers generated energy and released a rainbow veil that shined over the whole city.

"Thanks to LID technology, we have developed reality generating control towers." Renji said. "These towers will allow you to duel each other as you would in a dueling field from the reality generators. The next part of the tournament will be decided by whoever is left standing."

"But how do we advance to the next round?" Siegrain questioned.

"If you are curious as to how you advance, it's quite simple. Survive until five." Renji said. "You will be given twenty minutes to spread about and plan your strategy. That will give you seven hours to try and last until time has expired."

"So all we have to do is try to hold on to a single life point until time runs out." Zoey said. "Sounds simple enough."

"Not as much as you think." Yukin said. "Everyone will be going at each other. You can't stay in the same place. You need to know when to strike and when to retreat."

"Yukin's right. Lasting seven hours out there will be tricky." Siegrain said.

"Ready your duel disks and we can begin!" Renji said. All of them placed their duel disks on and were ready to go. This will be a great challenge for each duelist. "You have twenty minutes! Go!" Horns went off and all duelists ran for the exits. They were trying to put some distance from each other while also taking the time to put in some strategy. When Yukin made it outside, he looked around for Shun. However, he lost sight of him.

"Lost him, but I'll find you, Shun. I'm going to get answers one way or the other." Yukin said. With that in mind, he ran off to partake in the duels. What he didn't know was that a person decided to follow him. When all of them were out, Renji took a seat and was going to enjoy the show.

"It looks like it's all set." Miss Abarin said as she stood with her son and Ristly.

"Yes. This duel will be the perfect test to see who is really worthy." Renji said. "The last ones left standing will be the ones to join us. Ristly, you better get ready for your duel." He said as he turned to the young boy. "The finals of the youth division will be starting soon."

"Yes." Ristly said. Renji reached out of him and Ristly seemed nervous on what he would do, but Renji simply placed his hand on Ristly's head.

"Don't be nervous. I'm sure you will do fine." Renji said.

"Yes." Ristly said as he turned around and went to get ready for his duel.

"What about the girl you came across?" Miss Abarin asked.

"I tried talking to her, but she still wasn't interested in anything I had to say." Renji said. "She took off before I had a chance to say anything. As for her accomplice, he pulled away himself before his capture. All we can do now is wait."

Yukin

The hour of dueling was almost upon them. Yukin found himself in the middle of the city. With the battle royale only moments away, he had to ready himself for anything.

"Any minute now." Yukin said. "While I'm here, I've got to find Shun. I need to know if everything Drewsin really told me is true. I sure do hope the others are going to be okay." The time soon came and horns went off. That signal meant that the duels were about to start. "Time's up."

"Yes. Time is up for you as well, Yukin." Yukin looked up at a bridge and was met with two guys dressed as martial artists. One had a chinese braid and the other had a weasel-design hat.

"Who are you two?" Yukin said.

"My name is Chang." The one with the braid said.

"And you can call me Fung." The other one said. "We are members of Battlegrounds, just like Izzy is."

"Not more of these guys." Yukin said with annoyance. "I don't have time for you two now. I've got someone else I need to find."

"I'm afraid you won't leave so easily." Chang said.

"Don't think you're high and mighty just because you beat Izzy." Fung said. "We saw your duel against him. You ridiculed him for his style, but we saw how you defeated him. You're just like us."

"Don't compare me to the likes of you!" Yukin said as he took offense to that. "I don't know what came over me, but that's not me."

"Sure it wasn't." Chang said as he and Fung weren't buying it. "There's only way you're getting out of here." He jumped down and landed behind Yukin so that he and Fung could attack from both sides.

"Bring it." Yukin said as he readied his duel disk. The other two readied themselves. 'I don't need to beat them. I just need to be able to give them the slip. I need to find Shun and learn the truth.'

"Here we go!" Fung said as he was the first one to make a move. "I'll start by summoning Marauding Captain to the field!" He summoned out a warrior to the field as it came out with 1200atk points. "Thanks to his ability, I can summon my Warrior Lady of the Wasteland!" He summoned out a female warrior that had 1100atk points.

"Not bad. Too bad I can't stick around!" Yukin said as he made a run for it.

"Get back here!" Fung said as they raced after him and they were gaining on him.

"Running away like a frightened child?!" Chang said.

"Don't flatter yourselves. I just have more important things to do than deal with you clowns." Yukin said.

"I'm afraid you aren't going anywhere." Chang said as he placed his hand on his deck and drew a card. "It's my turn now! I'm going to summon Axe Raider to the field!" He summoned out his own warrior as it carried an axe with him having 1700atk points. "Next, I'm activating my Double Summon spell! This spell allows me to summon again this turn! Come out, Warrior Dai Grepher!" He summoned another warrior as it came out 1700atk points. "The best part is that I can attack you right now."

"Oh man." Yukin said as he wasn't ready for direct attacks so soon.

"Axe Raider and Warrior Dai Grepher, attack him directly!" Chang said. Both of his monsters went on the attack and Yukin had no way of defending himself. However, someone stepped in and saved him as a spell was played and blocked the attacks.

"What just happened?" Yukin said.

"Two against one? That isn't fair. Let's turn the odds in your favor, Yukin." All of them looked up to see someone else joining the duel. This man had blonde hair that reached his shoulders. He was dressed fancy. He wore a lavender coat with white pants and boots with him wearing a white ascot.

"Who are you?" Yukin asked.

"My name is Klaus. I saw that you needed help, Yukin. Don't worry. I'll get these guys out of the way." A new duelist has entered the picture, but will he really help Yukin?
