Paddock moved quickly through the mist, the rain sprinkled lightly adding to the feeling of cold. Paddock held a long silver blade in hand, perfectly balanced and sharp enough to cut paper. The only other item he holds is a water bottle filled to the top. The light clothes he wears are clinging to his thin frame and reveal alarmingly present ribs as well as gaunt muscles.

The howls of a wolf echo through the jungle mist and Paddock raises his head wearily but still alert. Wary of his surroundings. A cannon booms and Paddock lets his head drop lower as he traverses down boulders and rocks, making his way towards the Cornucopia. As he scales down a particularly large boulder he wonders who was the cannon, the small weak boy from Seven, the tall bearded boy from Nine or the muscular fast Career girl from One.

As Paddock moves lower in the surrounding mountains he spots a moving shadow, for a second he thinks its a wolf mutt before the tall body of the boy from Nine is revealed in the dim moonlight. Paddock creeps closer to the boy. Silver blade in hand he tried to keep his footsteps quiet as he crouch walked towards the boy, no weapon in hand it looked like an easy enough kill and might attract a sponsor

or two. With a roar Paddock leapt towards the boy, Paddock very quickly realised his mistake of yelling. He had taken away the surprise of the attack and even though the boy had no weapon he still had fists. The boy from Nine lashed out with a fist and caught Paddock on the jaw.

Paddock gave a little grunt and then speared out with his sword. The boy dodged to the side with a speed unnerving to Paddock. Paddock recovered quickly though and swung broadly this time, again the boy dodged to the side but Paddock had managed to catch his thigh with the blade and the boy gave a pained grimace barely visible in the moonlight and ripped his leg away roughly, Paddock's blade was covered in blood but Paddock still swung for the boy's neck, he tried to dodge like he had before but his injured thigh slowed him down.

Boom!

Taking deep breathes Paddock began to look around realising how much of an open space he was within, the middle of the arena and holding the low ground with a sword. Awesome. Taking a deep breathe he began to trek back up the big stones as the sun slowly rose in the distance. Already the mist was dissipating leaving the surroundings of Paddock bright and open.

As Paddock came to the top of the last boulder he came face to face with the small boy from Seven, he doesn't even have time to wonder how the boy beat the Career girl before he plants a small foot into his stomach sending him off the boulder he's standing on and into a fifteen metre fall to the boulder below, on impact Paddock immediately breaks his legs and what feels like half of the other bones in his body.

He lies there shuddering with pain, his eyes are wild and as his body finally comes to terms with the amount of damage inflicted on it the pain starts. As he lies there screaming in pain and wondering if it will ever end, as he lies there writhing in pain he catches sight of a small figure tumbling down the boulders near him. The small boy lands roughly next to him.

Some semblance sense or desperate survival instinct kicks in he reaches painstakingly out for his silver blade lying near his body, gasping in pain he manages to curl some fingers around the blade. Tugging it gently towards him he cries out every time he uses the wrong body part or muscle to help. The boy next to him is unconscious and only has one visible injury in a cut leaking blood slowly.

Dragging his body across and over the boy he lies heavily on top of the boy and slowly wincing every second he brings up his silver blade with one cutting motion he ends the One hundred and fifteenth Hunger Games.
