Chapter 36: Paradise beaches. Adabat, jungles and sea!

We are near the waters of the new mission objective: Adabat. After Marco told them about Summer and Aleena's adventures on the Grand Line when they were with him, the relationship between Sonic, Luffy and Ruby became closer. Everyone was happy for them, while also bonding with each other: Nami and Weiss were trying on clothes together; Sanji was preparing food while he was watching Pyrrha train with Zoro and Jaune. Nora had fun practicing skeleton jokes with Brook. Usopp was telling stories to Chopper, who was listening excitedly. Ren and Blake were meditating while Robin was sitting next to them reading a book. Lastly, Jimbei was in charge of the helm, while talking to Tails on the com.

Jimbei: Tails-kun, how are the skies?

Tails: All clear, no activity from Eggman's robots. And neither does it look like the Blackbeard pirates.

Jimbei: Thank you, Tails-kun. If we keep this pace, we will reach Adabat at night.

Tails: I see. I'll tell Sonic.

Jimbei: It's amazing ... His mother, in the good old man's crew! And with the King of the Pirates!

Tails: I had the same reaction. It's just ... why didn't they say anything about their diaries?

Jimbei: Well, maybe they hid it in case you didn't believe them.

Tails: Yes, you are right.

While with Ruby...

Ruby: Ah, this is life...

Sonic: The truth is that it is good to rest a little. No killer robots, evil pirates, or creatures of darkness.

Sonic was lying in a hammock wearing sunglasses, with his human foster sister enjoying a well-deserved rest.

The two irate ex-Ultimate Students chased after the rubber pirate, the cook with a huge ax and the athlete with two armchair-sized brass knuckles.

Ruby: Oh no...

Then two fists appear and hit the three rioters.

Nami: What the hell are you doing?!

Weiss: Incredible... Is it that one can no longer try on clothes in peace?!

?: I'm sorry. It's that Luffy ate everything.

Makoto appears, accompanied by Kyoko and Zack.

Zack: We were going to participate in a banquet that Hanamura had made, but when we arrived...

Kyoko: I don't leave anything but the table.

Sonic: Why am I not surprised?

Kyoko sighs, keeping her gaze stoic, when she feels Makoto's hand on her shoulder, smiling, making her smile as well.

Zack: Ha, ha. Aren't you adorable?

The All-Stars blush and look away, while Zack laughs. Soon it was dark when they reached Adabat. Luffy, Sonic and Ruby had already transformed, while the rest admire the beautiful town with houses on stilts blessed with the sunset, the gentle wind, the sea water and the atmosphere of peace that was breathed.

Weiss: And the sea, it looks like glass!

Blake: As long as we don't go bathing...

Nora: Oh come on! Have fun!

Team this time: Devil Rose, WBY, JNPR, Nami, Robin, Luffy, Sonic.

Nami: I hope this time we don't have to fight.

As they walked along the beaches, they began to see creatures from Dark Gaia.

Nora charges her hammer with electricity and starts pounding all the Nightmares and

Red Nightmare I found. Two Killer Bees pounce on her, but Ren covers her by shooting them. Nora smiles at him, while Ren nods. Pyrrha and Jaune work together to get rid of an annoying group of Little Rex. Jaune kicks him with unparalleled grace.

Pyrrha: Good work, Jaune! You are improving a lot!

Jaune: Thanks to Hancock, she's a great teacher, although she does not show it.

Pyrrha looks a bit sad, but manages to force a smile.

Robin: Ara, they seem stronger than before.

Sonic: They have the lessons of the best pirates in your world; of course they had to improve.

Yang: Not bad, we will have to improve a lot if we want to be better Hunters.

Blake: Right.

Weiss: With the Vytal Festival just around the corner, we have to be stronger.

Devil Rose: Don't worry, my dear friends.

Devil Rose hugs them lovingly, even though she was choking them.

Devil Rose: Oh don´t worry my lovely sister. Once this is over, we will train so hard that Team RWBY will be feared throughout Remnant. Hehehehe...

WBY were starting to turn blue when Sonic manages to separate them.

Blake: Arf... Arf... thank you, Sonic.

Weiss: That idiot is scary... VERY scary...

Yang: Yes, it has given us a bit of "fearful love"

Everyone groans at Yang's pun, except DN Luffy who laughs.

WBY: Don't laugh at us!

Our team finishes cleaning up enemies on the beaches and they are in an area of wooden walkways.

Nami: This place is beautiful.

Pyrrha: True, it would be a great place to go on vacation.

Nora: And eat lots of pancakes!

Ren: Nora, please focus on the mission.

Nora: Awww...

Sonic: Look, here's a pole.

Nami: Just like Chun-nan...

Robin: Sonic-san, can I take care of this?

Sonic: Well, by trying it doesn't hurt, but what are you going to do?

Robin: Mil fleur: Gigantesco Mano: Puente!

Robin creates two huge arms, forming a bridge.

Sonic: Yes, I had forgotten about that.

Jaune: Awesome, Robin!

Blake: These Devil Fruits are very useful.

Robin: I thought it was much better than throwing yourself and slamming yourself on the ground, leaving a bloodstain. Hehe.

JWB and Nami: Please, Robin, stop those sinister jokes!

A couple of ghoulish jokes later, Weiss sees something that is familiar and in a bad way. It was a Big Mother and several Ursas guarding the way.

Weiss: Oh no. Not another one of those things.

Blake: And it seems he has Ursas helping him...

Yang: Heh, finally some fun...

DN Luffy: Shishishi! Go for it!

The Ursas roar and run to attack the JPR team... huh?

Jaune: Wait ... Where's Nora?

Robin: It's true ... She was here just now.

Nora: YOU CALLED ME?!

The electrifying crusher's voice came from the sky, drawing everyone's attention, only for its jaws to drop to the ground.

Sonic: But what...

Jaune: Eh...

Pyrrha: Typical of her, of course.

Ren: Nora... What are you doing?

Nora was riding a Nevermore, with her hammer raised, charged with electricity. Nora smiles seeing her goals.

Nora: He, he. Let's have fun.

Nora accelerates her "steed" and begins to hit the Little Rex and the Ursas with considerable force, augmented by electricity.

DN Luffy: Oh, awesome, Nora!

Nami smiles mischievously.

Nami: "Heh, just like we planned."

The Big Mother, furious, reaches for Nora's Nevermore with one of his arms, sending her to heaven, however, she smiles as she charges her hammer with the remaining electricity.

Nora: NORA SMASH!

Nora crushes the monster and the remaining Grimms, leaving a spectacular crater on the ground. Nora turns to look at her friends and smiles at them and makes a peace sign.

Nora: How have I been?

Ren: I'll only ask you once: where did you get the electricity?

Nami: Sorry, Ren. It was an idea of both.

Nami walks over to Nora and those high five.

Nami: I just saw in the distance that there were many monsters, so ...

Nora: I volunteered to break their legs!

Nami then grabs Nora, with a sinister smile.

Nora: N-Nami?

Nami: Now, Nora-chan, we have to talk business ...

Nora: Are you going to charge me to cover you ?!

Nami takes out a notebook and does the math.

Nami: You scared me with the idea of throwing you lightning: 2000 Belis. Go crazy with a Grimm: 45,000 Belis.

Nora: Help guys, she wants to squeeze my wallet!

Ren: Nami, you can do whatever you want with her.

Nora: Traitor!

Sonic: Ha, ha. Continue?

Weiss: I was looking better, Sonic.

Weiss then points to Sonic's natural nemesis: water.

Sonic: Water again?!

Yang: Aw, don't be so scary, little brother! Rubes and I will save you if you need it!

Sonic: Well...

Devil Rose: Don't worry, I'll cover you.

DN Luffy: Shishishi, come on Sonic!

Sonic: What a brother and sister. Let's get to it, right?

Our team goes at full speed through an area of waterfalls, until we reach an interior temple.

Jaune: At last, we have arrived...

Robin: We have an obstacle to overcome.

Robin meant that in the cavern there were some flower-shaped panels with different levels.

Nami: Panels with a flower on the floor?

Weiss: It's a pretty simple security system: just press all the panels in the correct order.

Robin: Indeed, Weiss-san.

DN Luffy: Aaahhh, it's so boring!

Yang: Aaahhh, you're right, I'm BORED!

Devil Rose: Guys, please...

Sonic: Done.

All: What?!

Sonic had completed the puzzle while they were talking.

Sonic: You are very slow.

Pyrrha: Wow, what a speed...

Jaune: It's half the key, right?

Ren: I guess the daytime half, so let's go rest for tonight.

All: Ok.

The whole team leaves, however...

A hooded figure appears with a dossier with photos of Zack, Ruby, Sonic, Luffy... and many other well-known faces.
