It was the middle of the night when my D.D.D. began to buzz. I groggily rolled over, grabbing the device and fumbling to turn it on. My messages app was shaking, and I could see some new messages from Solomon. Arranging myself so I was a bit more comfortable, I opened the app.

monSOLO: Hello Belle.

Tinker Belle: Hi Solomon… you do realize it's 2 am here in Texas, right?

monSOLO: Apologies. It's 8 am here in London, and I forgot we're not on the same time schedule anymore.

I let out a groan, shaking my head as I silently questioned if Solomon even slept since returning, or if he was just this much of an early bird to be awake and alert at 8 am.

Tinker Belle: Whatever. Whatcha need?

monSOLO: Nothing, really. I merely wanted to get in touch with you, see how you were adjusting after the exchange program.

I let out a small laugh, rolling onto my back as I typed my response.

Tinker Belle: As well as I can. On the bright side, my family is under the impression I was in europe for the past year, and my landlord kept my flat neat and tidy while I was away.

monSOLO: That's good. Glad Diavolo took care of you.

monSOLO: Let's try to keep in touch. With the D.D.D, it shouldn't be too hard.

Tinker Belle: Just keep time zones in mind the next time you text me ;P

I set the device down and prepared to go to sleep, but it buzzed once more. I picked it up to take a look.

monSOLO: Of course Belle. Just promise me that if something happens, let me know right away, okay?

Tinker Belle: Something happens?

Tinker Belle: What do you think will happen?

The three dots that signified that he was typing remained on the screen for a long time. They stopped and started about four times before I finally got a reply.

monSOLO: Hmm, well…

monSOLO: It's nothing for you to worry about…

Before I could try to reply, I received two more messages.

monSOLO: Let's meet again soon!

monSOLO: Take care, Belle.

With the distinct feeling he had set the D.D.D. down, I sent a quick "g'night" text, then set it down to try and return to sleep. I didn't know what Solomon was referring to, but one thing was for certain. My adventures in the Devildom… they were only beginning.
