MIDORIYA
The rest of my spring break was difficult. All I could think about was Todoroki. He has been super busy in his office and training. He has slowed down on his hero work due to the controversy. Knowing my boyfriend, he must stay in shape. Sometimes Todoroki knows when I am watching him. I don't know how he knows but he does. Sometimes I almost feel like crying as I remember the predicament, we are in.
"We are so close to being heroes!" exclaims Kirishima. "Can you believe it!"
"Right!" exclaims Bakugou. "I have already started applying for agencies."
"Don't you need to have hero license first?" I question as we head out the dining area in our dorms.
"I will be testing for it the Friday after or graduation," he explains. "I will past the first time around."
"Whatever you say," I reply thinking back to our provisional license that he failed the first time around. He has improved on his people's skills. I see the school building come into view. It's going to be weird not seeing Todoroki anymore. I mean at least until I finish school.
"You decided on a college, right?" asked Kirishima.
"I did," I reply. "I still need to let them know I'm accepting their offer."
"I can't believe you are going to college," says Bakugou.
"You say that like it's a bad thing," says Kirishima glaring at his boyfriend. "I know what you mean though. We have waited so long to be heroes and now you are waiting longer."
"I am going to work part time," I reply. "Just not my first quarter in college. Depending how things go next year in January or Spring I may try to work more than 20 hours a week."
"I think they call them semesters in college," says Kirishima.
"You know what I mean," I reply. "What if something does happen to me and I can't be a hero anymore. You know what happened to Ragdoll…" We grow silent as none of us can forget that. She had such talent before All For One stole her quirk from her. I shiver thinking about it. We get to our homeroom classroom. Aizawa is holed up in his sleeping bag on the floor. I sit down in my assigned seat.
"Our spring break was so awesome," says Mina. "Went to the beach. Did you guys do anything special?"
"Not really," I reply. I spent my time sulking in my room. Mom had to force me to eat. "I was just looking into college stuff." Mina frowns.
"I would expect Iida to do something that boring," she states.
"I resent that," says Iida causing a few of us to chuckle.
"Did they ever find out any more information out about Todoroki?" asks Kaminari lowly. He would be the one to ask.
"I don't think so," says Asui. "I wonder who it is."
"I for one think they were too easy on him," says Momo folding her arms.
"What the hell is that suppose to mean?" asked Jirou.
"Probation?" she questions. "It was a minor and he doesn't have to jail time. Where is the justice." I work hard to keep my face still. I'm not a minor!
"You are only saying that because it wasn't you," says Jirou. Momo growls at her. So much aggression.
"That is not why!" she hisses.
"Okay let's chill out," says Mina. "It's not that serious. I mean he resigned from both of his jobs. He apologized and is minding his business. Nobody was hurt so no big deal to me." I proceed to pull out my notebook wishing they would stop talking about it. I mean it is a hot topic so I shouldn't be surprised.
"Well, I for one say the student is pretty good," says Iida.
"What do you mean?" asked Uraraka with curiosity in her voice.
"No one knows who it is," he points out. "Most teens that hook up with a teacher tell their friends. Like someone has to know."
"Who cares," snarls Bakugou. "You guys should be worried about how I'm going to be working at the top agency over all of you."
"I will too!" exclaims Sero. "You aren't the only star around here."
"Just because you are number one doesn't mean you will be at the number one agency," states Shijo.
"What did you say bat boy!" Bakugou hisses. I'm so glad Bakugou changed the subject. Kind of put a target on his back but he is always doing that without even trying. We all talk a bit more about spring break before Aizawa comes out his sleeping bag. We get quiet knowing it is time for class to start. He sighs.
"Morning," says Aizawa. "Let's go ahead and get this out of the way. We won't being talking about Todoroki moving forward. The situation has been handled." His tone sounds so menacing.
"Holy shit…" says Mineta as he was about to put up his phone.
"Language," says Aizawa.
"Ohhh…." says Kaminari looking at his phone.
"You know you aren't suppose to have your phone out," warns Aizawa. "They should be off." Kaminari glances at me as the blush on his cheeks is obvious. I shift nervously not liking this already. A few other students pull out their phones. "I know you guys just heard me. It's the first day back, please don't test me."
"Uh sir you might want to see this….." says Iida holding out his phone. I feel my own phone buzz causing me to pull it out. I see a local news headline saying there is a video of Todoroki and his teenage student. I gasp. I don't get to click on the video as All Might is walking into the classroom. Everyone stops what they are doing.
"Morning," he greets. Morning we all say, mine was more of a mumble. Aizawa looks beyond annoyed. He holds up Iida phone.
"We got another problem," he states.
"I was just made aware," he replies. "Midoriya I need you to come with me. Please gather your items as you won't be coming back." I could feel my classmate's eyes on me as I gather my items following behind All Might. Soon as we are outside of the classroom he begins to talk. "Have you seen it?"
"No," I reply. "I just found out about it."
"Someone is trying to destroy Todoroki reputation," says All Might. "I know who it is, but we will discuss this more in the office." I nod knowing he doesn't want the others to know. I begin to shake a little more afraid than I was before. Just when I thought we were going to get past this all. Most of the students are in class made it easier to get to his office. Soon as All Might closes the door I am pulling my phone out hitting the video. It is only 20 seconds long but long enough for everyone to see what they need.
"Oh my god…" I mutter. It was certainly the same day someone got the voice recording. The only difference is now you can see me, you can see Todoroki, you can see us. I remember this as if it was yesterday. I was approaching my climax. You can clearly see me riding Todoroki with his help before the video stops. My face is clearly visible. "Who did this!"
"Momo," says All Might. I look up from my phone.
"What!" I exclaim.
"I will be grabbing her after you leave," explains All Might.
"After I leave?" I question.
"Yes," says All Might. "The press is going to be outside of the school for you and I want you gone before that happens. I have already contacted your mother and she is on the way." I can't believe this is happening. "I think it would be best if you finished up your classes at home because of everything that is going on." I cover my face my phone still in hand. I start crying because this is so much. I can feel All Might arms around me. "You will still get to graduate with your friends."
"How could she do this!" I exclaim finally pulling away from him. I know Momo had a thing for Todoroki but I didn't think it was that serious. I thought Momo was my friend. This is a betrayal on so many levels. My brain is struggling to keep up.
"I plan to find out," replies All Might. "Although I have an idea. We watched footage from your floor to figure out when Todoroki and you were voice recorded. We didn't know Momo had actual footage. I wish she would have come directly to us. There was no need for to include the press unless she wanted to hurt Todoroki." I am still wiping the tears from my eyes. I will never view Momo the same again. She deceived me in the worst possible way. All Might leads me over to the sofa in his office having me sit down.
"Will I not be living on campus?" I asked. All Might nods his head that I won't be living on campus. I just look down at my lap wanting to speak with Todoroki more than ever.
"It's going to be okay," replies All Might patting my leg.
"I want to talk to my boyfriend," I cry.
"Boyfriend?" questions All Might. I'm too busy crying to even say anymore. "Um….your parents will be the ones coming to campus to pack up your belongs."
"You guys are treating me like a criminal!" I scream. "I can't even pack up my own belongings!" I can tell All Might doesn't know what to say. I know this has more to do with the media and the school image. It seems like forever before my mom arrives and I can leave. All Might advises me to not speak about what happened with Todoroki to anyone. I wasn't going to. He already apologized, what more is there to say. I am walked around to the back of the school where they instructed my mother to meet them.
"Hi All Might," greets mom.
"Mrs. Midoriya," he smiles. "I'm sorry to have to see you again under such terrible circumstances." Mom nods seeing how upset I am.
"I'm glad you told me to come around back," she states. "The press is already lining up outside."
"Yes, I will be dealing with them shortly," he replies. "You ready young Midoriya." I shake my head no. I just want to talk to Todoroki. Mom wraps one arm around my shoulders.
"Let me get him home," she replies. "I will let you know if we need anything." Mom leads me to the car, and we get inside. I pull out my iPad mini pulling up Todoroki security system. He is in his bedroom. I can clearly tell he is yelling at someone on the phone. "What's that?" I close the case to my tablet.
"Nothing," I mutter. I don't think she saw the screen thank god.
"I know everything seems bad right now," says mom. "Someone else will take over the news soon I'm sure. I can't believe a student would do something so harsh. The voice recording was enough but a video! Terrible." I know my mom didn't watch it, but it is still humiliating. She is doing everything she can to cheer me up. We pull up to the apartment when her cell rings. She answers it as we get out of the car. "Hello,"
"What is going on?" asked dad. His voice is so loud I can hear him. The anger in his voice is not missed.
"A student more than likely leaked this video," explains mom as we make our way into the building. "All Might is going to take care of everything."
"I told you they were having sex!" exclaims dad.
"Honey, of course they are," she replies. "They're in love." I hate this so much. I wrap my arms around myself as I listen to dad rant about how he should have never agreed for us to date while mom defends her decision. We get to the apartment door and someone is standing there. A reporter! There is a camera guy and a lady. She spots us her face lighting up.
"I'm Renee with Fox, we wanted to get an exclusive regarding Midoriya relationship with Todoroki," she says.
"No comment," says mom pulling out her house keys. "Please get away from my property." Renee focuses on me.
"Midoriya do you have anything to say regarding this?" she asks. Before I could say anything, mom unlocks the door.
"You are not allowed to speak to my son!" she hisses. Mom pulls me into the apartment slamming the door. She turns to look at me as dad is demanding to know what is going on through the phone. "Were you seriously going to say something?"
"I'm tired of them attacking Todoroki!" I exclaim. "I'm 18, I'm not a minor."
"I know this is hard baby but let Todoroki and All Might take care of this okay," she says. I don't say anything as I head to my room. I close my room door wanting privacy. I pull back out my tablet to see Todoroki is still on the phone. He looks much calmer now. He glances at the camera and gives a little hand wave. He walks over to his nightstand pulling something out. What is he doing? He leans over writing on the pad. He walks over to the camera holding up the notepad. I read it quickly.
Izuku, I know this hard for you love. Don't speak to anyone about this. I'm speaking with my lawyer to see if we need to take further action. He is working to get the video taken down. Love you. Todoroki drops the notebook before continuing his conversation on the phone. I wonder how he knew I was watching him. Do I really care? I'm so glad he is going to take care of everything.
I get changed into some comfortable clothing getting into bed. I lay down starting to think that wasn't worth it all. Getting with Todoroki, staying together. At the same time…..I don't know if Todoroki would have ever really gotten to know me in the way he has. I grab the tablet watching Todoroki before drifting off to sleep.
