Leaving the mortal world, in a realm of darkness and despair where screams of the unfortunate rang for eternity, Jashin the representation of fear, torture, despair, blood and violence reacted to Naruto's actions.
It was a dimension of absolute nightmare where any mortal would lose sanity. It was a place where the victims never died and never went numb. From the time of the sacrifice or their subsequent capture, these mortals had continued to suffer endlessly in this realm.
Here they went through all kinds of nightmarish ordeals and they could never be released from it as they were actually dead and inside the stomach of Jashin.
Until Jashin died, they will continue to suffer and supply him energy. Their skin was flayed slowly. Their eyes were slow plucked out. They were forced to drink liquid metal heated to insane degrees. They had their nails plucked out.
They had their bones crushed.
They had been crucified. They had been boiled and burned. They had been eaten by man eating worms. They had their faces ripped off.
They had been sawed to pieces.
They had their teeth extracted.
They had been performed on with all their senses increased and no fainting spell.
They could never sleep.
They continued to starve endlessly.
They had vicious insects crawling inside of them, eating them from the inside and breeding.
They had been subjected to high frequency noises. They had been mentally tortured and they could never get used to the abominations acting such horror on them.
Their screams rang on and never stopped. In this dark world where even the moon looked like an abomination with sharp teeth and a vicious smile, there was no hope for the lost lambs.
Every location was a place of horror. From the Valley of screams to the river of Agony, to the Mountain of bones to the pit of horrors, and to the Forest of the Wicked to the Abode of Pleasure, it was a total mind breaker.
It was a place out of nightmares and it was designed to bring utter despair. It was a place that represented Jashin's desires and his powers.
It was not just that as this world was upside down and any outside would have to know how to fly under the pressure of the dark presence or fall in the waiting maws of the crawling darkness.
In this world of terror, Jashin lived in comfort and enjoyed messing with life in the mortal world. He had abominations under his rule that carried out the torture and fought for him. These were followers that he had blessed with his powers and it changed them to monstrous creatures with no sense of empathy and humanity.
In the Abode of Pleasure, Jashin's pleasure, Jashin was hanging upside down amongst the many tortured mortals tied by chains while broken and bruised.
His appearance was not pleasant to look at and gave a feeling of terror. His skin was white like snow and grainy like sand. His head was round but it had no eye sockets and the ears were just big holes. He had smooth face with a row of sharp teeth. He wore nothing to cover his upper body while his lower body was covered by leather pants.
He had a long tongue like a snake.
At the moment he was in his garden, garden of the tortured souls. He had changed a lot since his loss against the Otsutsuki and his ascendance. He had taken fear, despair and torture into his field to gain even more power.
Such things had shaped him into abomination he had become and his previous personality had become warped beyond repair. He loved it. He loved the screams. He loved the pain and despair.
It brought him extreme pleasure and he couldn't stop as it was his nature. He was the boogeyman of the world now and he was not going to stop until the world had fallen.
"Such a bold move…my immortal foe." Jashin spoke in a voice that was torture to the ears that people would rip them off to save themselves. It could drive people insane.
He had just sensed Naruto's action and blocked it from affecting his followers. It was a good plan and it pushed him away from his goals.
But Jashin didn't worry as he smiled and shook his neck while his skin moved like ants. Licking his lips, Jashin connected with Ishiki.
His new master and the person that helped him get to this point. Unlike the others, Jashin saw logic and threw away emotions.
There was no point in resisting the inevitable. The Otsutsuki were the masters of the universe and they were just bugs waiting to be crushed. It was better to lick their feet and survive then to get crushed under their feet.
He had been honored by his new master and saw the glory of the Otsutsuki. He saw one of the Prince rank Otsutsuki that Ishiki followed, and he held the solar system in his hand to crush it like it was an egg.
Such was the power of the Otsutsuki race also called the Celestials.
"My Lord…what is your say on this act?" Jashin asked as he saw Ishiki sitting atop a mountain top and watching the sunset.
He was a man of grace and loved to enjoy nature's beauty.
"It was expected but it will definitely put some pressure on our activities. He is getting closer but we are almost done as well." Ishiki didn't look at him and spoke calmly as he was confident in his victory. He watched over the world from above with his legs crossed.
"I have some plans…"
"Explain"
"I wish to drown the world in my presence." Jashin proposed and asked for permission.
Drown the world in his presence, meaning releasing the abominations into the world.
"Will you be able to avoid detection?" That was the major problem as their foe was getting better and had already applied major restrictions on them. Naruto wasn't the only having problems as they also had issues because of his defense mechanism.
"Yes, it will be a gradual process with multiple steps. I believe that we can start giving our foe some trouble now through dreams. Sleep is important for everyone, so it will be terrible if something happened." Jashin smiled as he put his hands behind his back and paced.
Ishiki turned to him with his eight pronged eyes called the Dharmachakra that were golden in color. His expression showed that he was amused.
Getting up from the ground, Ishiki dusted his bottom and gave a small chuckle.
"True, our experiments don't seem to cause him much distress. This step should do the trick if you can truly implement it Jashin. Can you do that?" Ishiki stood tall wearing a white formal shirt and black pants along with long jacket over his shoulders.
No matter what happened, it was his policy to look presentable. He spoke in a formal tone and never gave the impression that he was about to murder.
His looks were outstanding as he had been lucky to come across a good looking monk. He also wore golden earrings.
From knowing this man and his old experiences, Jashin knew that they all had good looks and had certain taste for fashion as none of them ever looked ridiculous.
Even the most terrible looking one had a charming humanoid appearance when he wasn't terrorizing the Universe.
Getting back to his words, Jashin felt the pressure on him. The man wasn't even in his full power as he was holding back for survival but the eyes held so much weight.
It brought to image the true form of Ishiki instead of the weak vessel.
He didn't know what those eyes saw when looking at him but he hoped they never discarded him. Their relationship was built on mutual benefits and his survival.
That was true but there was no fear inside of him. He represented fear so the only thing he had was cold logic and amusement.
"I will serve. I will be of service. I will not disappoint." Jashin replied in a serious tone as he put his hand to his heart.
"You are free to act." Ishiki closed his eyes for a moment and opened them. He turned around after giving him the go.
With that the transmission cut off and Jashin was left alone in his garden. Having to take orders was beneath him and he truly detested it but it was reality.
Ishiki's existence was the hatchet of truth into the skull of lies that his former companions built around them and now his immortal foe was doing the same, fooling the populace into a blissful dream that didn't exist.
"Hahaha" Jashin chuckled at the thought of Naruto's anger and pain. It will be such a delicious treat.
"My lord, you called for us?"
In this garden, seven abominations had walked in. These were his strongest warriors and the one that spoke was Nyarlothothep.
It was a copy of Prince Nyar not the original one. The body was made of crawling darkness with a head in the shape of tentacle and a face filled with tentacles that had eyes and mouths with razor sharp teeth.
It had a humanoid torso with a wide mouth in the middle. It had two arms and legs along with multiple other tentacles beside the legs.
It was 10 meter tall and its presence touched the mind of the people.
On the side there a shadow soldier with blinding red shining eyes, monstrous pair of limbs and a mouth that was from nightmares. It was the Shadow Legion.
On the side was horror with a thin face, red skin, empty sockets, leafless tree branches as hair, sharp teeth, wide arms with knife like claws and red glowing runes. It was the Screamer that melted or destroyed everything with its horrible voice.
On the side was Cthulhu's cousin with large tentacles with suckers and multiple eyes of horrible shape along with many mouths. It was the Blood Sucker.
On the side was a bone monster made from thousands of human bones. It had humanoid head with a hunchback with sharp spikes and arms in the shape of swords while the lower body was shape like spider with 8 knives like legs. He was the Bone Beast.
To the side was the dream eater, a beast made from shadows and glowing red from everywhere. It hunted through dreams and created nightmares.
Finally, there was Hidan. He had been reborn with the blessing of his Lord. His skin had turned black completely and his eyes had worm like creatures inside.
His mouth was razor sharp and his arms had multiple mouths on them that leaked miasma and released horrible sounds. He had lost all sense of humanity once being bathed in the power of Jashin and becoming of residence of the Nightmare Realm.
He wore a sleeveless black shirt and black pants along with his shinobi sandals. He still had his scythe and it had been upgraded to new levels.
His personality was similar but no human side was left and it had tweaked to maximum sadism.
"Sir, do you trust him?" Amado asked as he walked towards Ishiki while wearing black suit and white lab coat.
He was stoic as always and was holding a tablet with data on his experiments. He was the head of research and it was his passion.
"Heh, I do. He is a logical being and he understands what I represent. What about you, Amado? Are you logical?" Ishiki smiled as he turned around and started walking on air towards his Palace.
Amado activated the gravity and flight device and followed behind him. His expression didn't change and he didn't react to his those sharp words.
"I believe in logic, sir. It is what leads me through life. I have no reason for pointless thoughts when I have everything that I need."
"True, I have great expectations for you my little friend and soon I will show you a wonderful new world where you can continue your advance." Ishiki put his hand on Amado's shoulder and lightly squeezed it. He had great respect for people with intelligence and grace.
Amado was a mortal that had proved his talent by learning knowledge beyond the hold of this world in such a short time. He had not just learnt it, as he had improved upon what Ishiki had provided. It was unfortunate that his rise was halted by the limited equipment and information or he could become one of the best in the Universe.
"I will serve. I will be of service." Amado muttered as he heard the great praise. It touched his heart and brought him pride.
Ishiki was not someone that uttered pointless praise. His praise always held true respect, no sarcasm intended.
A.N Hope you enjoyed and comment.
When I was thinking of Jashin that had been thrown aside by Kishimoto, I thought of horror. Jashin led me to include the other immortal beings because it just fit.
Jashin uses sacrifices of humans made me think of lovecraft kind of stuff so he ended up looking like a nightmare and I decided to add more of these elements later in the story.
Sadly, my writing is lacking and I can't help the readers enjoy what I have actually imagined. Sad puppy noises.
I write these author notes to tell readers about what they can expect in the story and explanations about certain things that readers ask. I also write the issues I have with Boruto or Naruto so that you would understand my point and not think that I had stupid reasons for disliking it.
Stupid reasons like the story being slice of life, the technology or Naruto and Sasuke getting beat up. These are not valid reasons. Technology in Naruto was always close to modern age not the Middle Ages like so many people somehow believe. There are literally so many stories that actually think that Naruto world is somehow hundreds or even thousand years behind modern society.
Look at the clothes, the electricity, the gaming console, the tv, the radio, the train and even the old ass bulky computer. All of these should have told you that they were very close to modern age and they had guns, you can literally find it in the Wave arc.
So the tech jump is reasonable since war stopped and all of them were super humans, not normal humans so a decade to normal people would be a lot of time to them.
Naruto and Sasuke getting beaten up is normal in all action stories. New villains would obviously have to show their metal.
The other reason for these notes is to help people throw away their false perception of certain things. Just like the above point and the points I made in the previous chapters. People believe in those things and comment such things. It doesn't leave a good impression and some people can get nasty.
I am just trying to help people understand as I actually explained my points instead of just saying they are stupid. With better understanding, you would have less problems with these kind of stories.
I can see that most of these problems arise because of the anime. Let me tell you, if you have only watched the anime then you should not comment on the power levels or the story because the anime is filled with utter nonsense. It makes the character look weak in the fillers, which some people might think are canon. I have seen many people talk about Kaguya, Hagoromo, Asura and Indra like it was actually real. Those were filler episodes and none of them were canon. Everything in those backstories is bullshit and contradicts the canon.
Kaguya didn't come down alone, she came with Ishiki. She wasn't weak as she had already eaten fruits before coming to earth and she already had her third eye from the start.
Hagoromo's back story was utter nonsense as well since he never had a Sharingan and the manga never told us what he went through in life. He didn't fight his brother or anything like that.
Indra and Asura was the same, we only know that they were against each other and some vague info, nothing else. The anime was so lazy that they gave both of them the same powers as Sasuke and Naruto.
None of these are true, so it is better for you to check out the manga before commenting on anything.
The information about the Otsutsuki is from the canon setting. I haven't made up anything. The Otsutsuki have finally become the most broken race in all Shounen.
Saiyan and Krypotonians can never compare to them.
Otsutsuki are immortals and can latch on to the person that kills them. They can take over the body of that person.
They can easily grow by absorbing energy and they are born with multiple abilities, some of the have time control or more.
Now Boruto has finally made them completely broken. The Shinju doesn't just make a fruit from the planet's energy, it needs an Otsutsuki for nutrients and when it does make a fruit it is insane. The fruit has all the power of the world, meaning the power of people that died on it.
It means that a fruit in the current era would have all the power of the Narutoverse, see how broken that is. Now I can understand why Momoshiki was so dismissive of training and looked down on humans.
This would mean that the King is insanely powerful and haxxed in reality, in Boruto don't expect anything. The Writers can't write even if their life depended on it. Look at Ishiki, his abilities were worse than Kaguya when he was supposed to be her superior. So it will be the same for the King, he will have some abilities but not much because writing him realistically would be too much for our simple protagonist to handle.
Finally, you don't really have to read the author note. It is always at the bottom.
