Ch 41

Raven woke up well-rested and happy as she looked over at her sleeping husband. Yesterday had filled her mind. She couldn't believe she had let Gar make love to her in a pool, but everything about what happened felt so right. He had been so tender and attentive and the look in his eyes told her he would cherish her for the rest of their lives.

'I wonder how I got so lucky,' she thought as she felt his warm arms wrap around her waist. She smiled, knowing he was still asleep as he sniffed her bare shoulder. 'Well, that isn't weird but I understand. You need to know I'm here.'

On her side table, she could see her phone got a text message. It was from Jinx. "How's honeymoon life?"

"It's been wonderful," she smiled.

"Having a lot of sex, right?"

"Jinx!"

"What? That's the best part of the honeymoon."

"Did you just text me to give me a hard time or—?"

"I know you'll be coming back after the honeymoon and—

"That's true, but we're not planning to stay in Jump City. We need to come back to wrap things up and then we're going to live in New Azarath. We were going to tell everyone after the honeymoon but maybe we can video call tonight. I just have to contact everyone."

"Say no more I will let everyone know. How does 8 am sound?"

"Thank you, Jinx, I really appreciate it."

"Well, it is your honeymoon, enjoy yourself."

Putting her phone back on the table, she realized Gar's body wasn't pressed up against her anymore. Wondering where his warmth had gone, she turned over to see her husband sleeping with his back to her. 'Well, that won't do,' she thought as she pressed her body against his back, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"You miss me, Rae," he chuckled.

"How long have you been awake?"

"I could hear you texting."

"Oh," she blushed into his bareback. "I didn't mean to wake you, let's go back to sleep."

"Sounds good," he said as he changed his position to face his wife, his arms around her.

It was good to see the smiling faces of their friends and family staring back at them from Gar's laptop as they sat outside on the balcony of their hotel room.

"Oh, it is so good to see your faces!" exclaimed Kory excitedly.

"Yeah, you two look happy," said Dick.

"Well, it is their honeymoon," smirked Jinx. "I'd be worried if they weren't."

"Ignore her," smiled Karen. "The honeymoon isn't all about sex you know."

"All right can we move on from the mental image of my little sis and bro having sex," said Vic.

"Yes, please," exclaimed Wally.

"Not that we aren't happy to hear from you both but there is a reason you called," said Rita.

"Yes, mom," said Gar. "You see Raven and I have decided to live on New Azarath."

"Permanently?" asked Steve.

"Well, you always did love a new adventure," said Larry.

"Well, good luck to you two kids," said Cliff.

"Thanks, guys," smiled Gar.

"Of course we'll come back to Jump City to tie up loose ends," said Raven.

"It will be good to see you two," said Alice.

"Yes, I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say we'll miss you," said Jack.

"Dick and I wish you the most happiness in New Azarath," said Kory.

"Thanks, Kory," said Raven. "I'm sure once Garfield and I are settled in our own place that you can all visit us."

"That's a great idea!" exclaimed Vic.

"You can have a housewarming party," said Karen.

"I don't know," said Raven. "I've never thrown a party before," she smiled, "but I guess we could do it this once just for you all."

"Yes,!" exclaimed Kory, Karen, and Jinx.

Gar smiled at his wife. "That's very sweet of you Rae."

Raven smiled. "Yeah well when the time comes, I'm relying on your party skills to help me."

"You got it, Mrs. Logan," he said, kissing her cheek, causing her to blush. The couple could see the happy, loving faces of their friends and families, who would always be there for them.
