WWE Judgement Day was live at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The opening match was between Umaga and CM Punk. The match was based around Umaga dominating Punk and neutralizing any attempt Punk made at offense. Punk was able to move out of the way of a diving headbutt off the top rope and then perform some offense maneuvers. At the end of the match, Umaga delivered a Samoan Spike for the pinfall victory over Punk.

Next up was the ECW Championship match between Christian and Jack Swagger. The match went back-and-forth with constant counters to each others moves. This was followed by Christian attempting a Killswitch, only to have Swagger counter but Christian pulled down the straps from his singlet. Swagger then attempted a clothesline, but Christian ducked, caught him around the waist from behind, and rolled him to the mat, using the singlet he compromised for extra leverage, getting the pin.

In the third match, John Morrison faced Shelton Benjamin (with Charlie Haas). Haas unsuccessfully attempted to interfere before Morrison halted the effort, and he ended the match by pinning Benjamin after a Starship Pain.

After this match, The Miz entered the ring and verbally berated the live crowd, insulting them and John Cena claiming, "He's like a lovable loser, much like the Chicago Cubs." He then turned his attention specifically to the Cubs' left fielder, Alfonso Soriano, who was in attendance, insulting him before being interrupted by Santino Marella, who took exception to The Miz's comments, leading to a fight between the two. The Miz got the better of his opponent, ending by delivering a DDT. Chavo Guerrero also came out to attack Marella after comments made by the latter about Guerrero's aunt Vickie Guerrero.

In the next match, Rey Mysterio defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Chris Jericho. At the start, both men attempted to throw each other out of the ring to get the advantage. Mysterio tried the 619, but Jericho stated before the match that he would make certain the 619 would not happen. At one point, both competitors sat on the top turnbuckle, and Jericho made an attempt to remove Mysterio's mask, only to be knocked away. Mysterio attempted a 619 but Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho. Mysterio won the match after the 619, followed by a Splash from the top rope to get the pin on Jericho.

The fifth match saw Batista challenge Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. The match focused around the two brawling: Orton kept Batista down with stomps and chinlocks but Batista delivered a spear. Orton spent the latter portion of the match trying to get himself disqualified by trying to use a steel chair and the WWE title belt as a weapon, as well as trying to get counted out, only to have Batista halt his efforts. After an attempt at the RKO was blocked, Orton ran into the referee and slapped him in the face. This was rendered a disqualification victory for Batista, due to Orton attacking an official. Per title match rules, Orton retained the championship, as the title cannot change hands on a disqualification unless stated otherwise. Following the match, Orton's protégés, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, came down to the ring and assaulted Batista until retired wrestler, Ric Flair, made his return to the company to aide Batista against his assailants. Batista was then able to deliver the Batista Bomb to Orton.

John Cena faced The Big Show next on the card. In the early part of the match, The Big Show performed various punches on Cena, but was ultimately countered by his opponent who attempted to apply the STF, but it was unable to be fully applied due to The Big Show's size. Cena then delivered the Attitude Adjustment to Big Show for a pinfall victory.

Next up was the World Heavyweight Championship match.

In the arena, Jeff Hardy's theme played and out came Jeff Hardy to a pop from the fans. Hardy did his little dance on the stage to set off the pyro then made his way down the ramp towards the ring. Hardy slides into the ring and poses on the turnbuckles before he jumps down and his theme dies down.

OOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf hit to cheers from the fans as the lights dimmed to the sinister blood red and out comes the Bladewolf with Trish Stratus at his side and the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. They pause on the stage and Trish circles her husband, running her hand across his chest, back, and shoulders before seductively leaning against him then arched her back in a seductive manner before she begins sauntering forward with a sway in her hips, the Bladewolf walking beside her.

They reach the ring and Bladewolf gets onto the apron, holding the ropes open for Trish who seductively gets in, getting wolf whistles from the fans. Bladewolf's theme dies down as Bladewolf takes his coat off and hands it to Trish, then takes off his title and hands it to Trish who gets out the ring, holding the coat and title.

Bladewolf stares down Hardy with his demonic hellfire eyes as the referee calls for the bell.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Hardy and Bladewolf walked forward and locked up in a test of strength which Bladewolf won by using his size and strength, but Hardy had quickness and speed on his side as he quickly got to his feet and nailed a heavy right, then hits a few more lefts and rights to the head then a few to the stomach before he dropkicks Bladewolf into the corner, but the World Heavyweight Champion comes right off and goes for a right but Hardy ducks it...AND DROPKICKS BLADEWOLF IN THE FACE! SENDING HIM RIGHT OUT OF THE RING!

Bladewolf got to his feet, shaking the cobwebs off. Hardy runs, rebounds off the ropes, runs across...AND HITS A SUICIDE DIVE ONTO BLADEWOLF! Jeff lifted Bladewolf to his feet and rolled him into the ring before getting in after him.

Jeff had started the match off with a bang, and kept it going as he began working over Bladewolf with a series of stomps and elbow drops. Jeff then grabbed Bladewolf's legs, lifted them up and spread them apart, before landing a leg drop right to Bladewolf's groin. Bladewolf groaned and rolled onto his stomach as the pain pulsed through this lower region.

But Jeff didn't want to give Bladewolf any time to recover, so he quickly walked over to him and lifted him to his feet. Hardy then whipped Bladewolf across the ring causing him to bounce off the ropes, then caught him in a flying forearm. Jeff once again started working over Bladewolf with a series of stomps and elbow drops.

Bladewolf could barely do anything to stop this vicious assault by the challenger. Bladewolf rolled onto his back and laid in the middle of the ring. Jeff still kept on Bladewolf by jumping in the air and extending his legs, then landing across Bladewolf's face for a standing leg drop. Jeff then went of a quick pin, but Bladewolf kicked out at two.

Jeff lifted Bladewolf to his feet and whipped him hard into the corner. Bladewolf leaned back against the turnbuckle pad and gasped for breath. Jeff then ran at Bladewolf and jumped in the air looking to hit Bladewolf with a flying elbow, but at the very last second Bladewolf dropped down to the mat, causing Jeff to hit the turnbuckle with his elbow and stumbled back in pain. Bladewolf quickly got to his feet and ran at Hardy while his back was still turned, then grabbed Hardy's head and drove it to the mat of a bulldog.

With the challenger down on the mat Bladewolf had a much needed break to catch his breath. Bladewolf rolled his shoulders and fized his elbow pads before he grabs Hardy and hits a German Suplex across the ring. Bladewolf walks over and grabs Hardy before driving him into the corner and drives his shoulder into Hardy's stomach multiple times. Hardy elbows Bladewolf in the back, sending the Champion to a knee, then rolls over Bladewolf's back, then...PUSHES HIM HEADFIRST INTO THE STEEL RING POST!

Bladewolf stumbles back, Hardy turns him around and goes for Twist of Fate right away but Bladewolf shoves Hardy back then runs...AND HITS A SPEAR! Bladewolf rolls onto his side and gets to his feet before he grabs Hardy, pulls him to his feet and lifts him onto his shoulder but Hardy fights back with elbows to the side of the ehad, then gets off...AND HITS A DDT! HARDY HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THR-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!

Hardy then works on Bladewolf's left arm again and does an arm drag on the World Heavyweight Champion. More arm drags by Hardy on Bladewolf. Bladewolf then rolls out of the ring and Hardy flips over the top rope taking out Bladewolf on the outside!

Getting back in the ring, Hardy attempts a Whisper in the Wind and Bladewolf moves out of the way. Bladewolf grabs Hardy and hits a suplex, then another, then another. He grabs Hardy from behind and hits another German Suplex, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another.

Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back before he grabs Hardy by the throat and lifts him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! HE COVERS HARDY! ONE! TWO! THRE-! HARDY KICKS OUT AT TWO!

Hardy rolls out the ring, trying to catch his breath but Bladewolf follows him but when Bladewolf reached over the barricade to grab Jeff, he was met with a punch to the jaw. Bladewolf stumbled backwards and in a flash Jeff was on his feet. Bladewolf recovered from Jeff's surprise punch, but was met with another when he went back over to Jeff. Hardy then got on the barricade while Bladewolf was dazed, then jumped off of it and landed on Bladewolf for a Seated Senton. The back of Bladewolf's head hit the floor with a loud thud as Jeff landed on him.

Jeff then got to his feet and rolled back into the ring, he needed to catch his breath. The referee was back up to a six count, and Bladewolf showed no signs of getting up. At seven Trish decided that it was time to take action. Trish walked over to Bladewolf and managed to pull him to his feet at the eight count, then rolled him back into the ring at nine.

Jeff saw Bladewolf being slid back into the ring decided to act and ran across the ring to the ropes opposite Bladewolf and bounced off of them and ran clean across the ring towards Bladewolf. Jeff then nailed Bladewolf, who was still laying on the ground, in the side with a dropkick, which knocked Bladewolf under the bottom rope and back out of the ring. Bladewolf hit the ground with a thud and Trish slowly made her way over to Bladewolf and lifted him to his feet.

Bladewolf recovered and rolled his shoulders and flipped his hair back before he slides into the ring and takes Hardy down with a big boot when he runs at him. Jeff stumbled to his feet and turned around into a heavy weight shot to the head from the Bladewolf, who hits a couple more shots to the head, then knees Hardy in the stomach before scooping him up onto his shoulders...AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! HARDY KICKS OUT AT TWO!

Bladewolf looks down at Hardy before getting to his feet, grabs Hardy and tosses him out the ring. Bladewolf slides out after Hardy and walks after him, grabs him and goes to Irish whip him into the barricade but Hardy reversed it...AND SENDS BLADEWOLF INTO THE BARRICADE! Bladewolf could be heard groaning behind his mask as Hardy walks over to him...THEN TACKLES HIM OVER THE BARRICADE AND INTO THE CROWD!

Hardy gets to his feet first, grabs Bladewolf and send shim over the barricade to ringside...WHEN HE'S STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY A CAST! IT'S MATT HARDY! Matt Hardy ducked down before he could be spotted as Bladewolf grabs Jeff Hardy and pulls him over the barricade, tosses him into the ring then climbs to the top turnbuckle, clearly waiting for the chance to hit the flying clothesline...WHEN HE'S STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY A CHAIR! IT'S EDGE! EDGE IS BACK!

Nobody has seen Edge since Backlash!

Bladewolf falls down and the referee calls for the bell!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Bladewolf gets to his feet and turns around...INTO A SPEAR! Edge glares down at Bladewolf before he runs at Hardy...AND GIVES HIM A SPEAR AS WELL! Edge grabs the World Heavyweight Championship and poses with it as Judgement Day goes off the air...

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter, folks. Edge is back and he's not finished with the Bladewolf and the World Heavyweight Championship.
