After Hilary was finished, her clients ran up to her to see how the photo turned out. She held out the camera to each one in turn.
"I'd say it turned out pretty good. What do you all think?" she asked.
"It looks good to me," Ash told her.
"I agree. Look at Oshawott though with his scalchop," Hilda said before chuckling.
"Oshawott!" the little sea otter Pokémon said proudly, giving its scalchop a tap.
"Well, then," Hilary said as she packed her camera back into her purse. "Delia and I will be sure to get copies of these printed out, and we will each frame one and take them home."
Ash and Hilda recalled their Pokémon, and the conversation then lulled into silence for a few seconds.
"Well, I suppose you two should be off," Professor Juniper said.
The two teens nodded before being wrapped into hugs by their mothers.
Delia gave off an emotional sigh. "Well, Ash, I guess this is goodbye. I'm going to miss you so much sweetie."
"I know. I'll miss you too, Mom," Ash replied, hugging her back.
Likewise, Hilda was engaged in a hug with her mother.
"Now you be careful while you're out there," Hilary said to her daughter. "But also remember, I'm very proud of you, and happy for you now being able to explore the world."
"I will be, Mom," Hilda responded. But she then smiled, as though feeling she really needed to hear that last part. "And thanks."
