(A/N: Disclaimers: Well, we're here at the final part, where everything that happens here gets resolved{obviously}. And, yes, there's still a bit more stuff here that affects the plot and characters from here on out. Keep a solid eye out for that.
And to answer the question on why Aaron believes in doing the magic circle during the Sabrina the Animated Series story, but not Sabrina Friends Forever story, here's the answer: he does believe in it during that story, he just denied it due to being surprised that Madison noticed it. So, he claims otherwise so that he wouldn't have to explain it.
With that out of the way, hope you enjoy part 2 of this two-part mini-arc and please comment and vote. All images and music belong to their respective owners.)
Aaron's P.O.V.-?
I slowly opened my eyes to see nothing but black everywhere. I don't know how I even know this, but I get the feeling that I was slowly falling.
I didn't feel the damage from the inside of my chest, the area that magical blast went through.
Suddenly, there were seven stained glass pillars rising up from nowhere, ranging in heights. The shortest one was at least as tall as Mt. Everest.
I landed on that pillar, feet first, and looked around.
"This is purgatory, isn't it? I mean, seven pillars. Perhaps each one represents the seven deadly sins," I say to myself, as my voice echoes off in silence.
As if to answer me, a flock of ravens suddenly flew up from the ground, revealing an image on the stained glass underneath my feet.
The images showed two hazy people and me in the center, smiling. Before I could get a clearer look, everything started to shake.
Hey, you gotta move, a random voice said.
I look around, trying to find the source of the voice.
"Who are you? And where am I?" I cried out into nothingness.
You will find out who I am soon enough. As for where you are, well, you're inside your heart. The voice answered.
"You mean metaphorically, or literally?" I asked.
Hmm. Well, both literally and metaphorically. On one hand, you're not physically here. More of this is your dream, the voice said.
"B-But I was dead! Or at least, I thought I was," I said.
Oh, you're not exactly dead. Even right now, that blonde friend of yours is trying really hard to keep you alive. However, what happens here... the voice trailed off.
"Blonde friend? Do you mean Sabrina?" I asked, but the voice didn't answer.
To be honest, I didn't want to die too soon. Sure, you all might say, "Gee, Aaron, that's selfish of you, not wanting to die."
I know, I know, selfish me. But I want to at least do something worthwhile with my life before I die, and I can't do that if I, well, die.
As I realize one minor issue, like, where am I supposed to go, a ramp appears in a burst of light, connecting the light pillar I was standing on to the second shortest.
Go, now! The voice commanded.
I listened and ran up the ramp, wondering what could be so bad that it wanted me to go.
I got on the second pillar to see another image on the stained glass. This time, it was seven hazy beings along with me, with my eyes closed and looking peaceful.
Suddenly, three pedestals rise, with a sword, a shield and a staff levitating over each one.
Choose your weapon. Then get rid of the one you can do without, the voice said.
I glanced at each one. "What do they mean?"
The staff represent magic. The shield represents defense. The sword represents offense. Choose wisely. The voice cautioned.
Well, obviously I can't get rid of the staff, due to being half magic myself. But, I can't get rid of the sword because what can I do without offense? Then again, at times, defense is the best offense.
Argh, why is this so confusing?
Suddenly, shadowy blobs appear out of nowhere, surrounding me.
"Can't I just choose all three?" I asked the voice.
Hmm, I have no idea what would happen if you do. Guess we should see, it said, before leaving. Don't ask me how I know it left, I just do...somehow.
As I attempted to grab the weapons, the blobs all jumped on me, similar to the doggy pile that Alvin and his dog army did only a couple days(Weeks? Months? Years? How long have I been here for?) ago.
As I was dragged down, a bright light appeared in both of my hands, forming weapons. Before I saw what they were, I was dragged under the blobs and everything became black again.
Sabrina's(And Everyone's) P.O.V.-Rainbow Rescue Beam, on its way to somewhere
"Aaron, don't you dare die on me!" Sabrina pleaded, her eyes were stained with tears.
In her arms were Aaron, body limp and eyes closed. He has been dead for who knows how long, taking a blast of magic that Sabrina was sure was intended to kill her.
For the past however long it's been, Sabrina had been attempting to use her magic to combine with Aaron's magic so that she can heal whatever damage has been done to him.
It's something the two are able to do: when separate they can't do something with their own magic, then combine them to do it.
"How did things get this bad?" Sabrina asked, while internally recapping everything up to this point.
To begin with, Salem called Sabrina, using Aaron's stolen iPod(a fact she didn't know at the time), telling her to bring Kim and Jason to Central Park the next day(which was today).
Then, when she got there with them, they heard someone singing like they were bored out of their minds.
And then she bumped into Aaron and found out that not only did his iPod got stolen(it was Harvey, who isn't supposed to be in Manhattan to begin with), but she had been tricked by Salem to be more pissed off at Aaron for emotionally manipulating her once(which, granted, Aaron did, but at least he is trying to make up for it), instead of Salem, who did it multiple times.
Oh, but that's not all. Suddenly talking, colorful bears known as the Care Bears arrived and claimed to be everyone's friends. Yet all they had done is rub it in Aaron's face that he was a terrible friend for not knowing Sabrina's hopes and dreams(which to be fair, they never talk about their hopes and dreams at all)and tell Sabrina that Aaron would be evil, that they can't help her with her emotional problems and that they won't help nor stop her and Aaron.
But wait, it gets worse! The rainbow sent Sabrina to space, where she nearly suffocated if it wasn't for Aaron forcing his rainbow to go to her location and helping her. And then the magic blast killed Aaron, who pushed Sabrina out of the way, and Aaron told Sabrina she doesn't have to deal with him anymore.
"Seriously, Aaron, you have to drop that bombshell on me and then die? I'm not losing you, not when we have a lot to patch up! I already lost my mother, you're not leaving me just yet!" Sabrina demanded, shaking Aaron's body, using magic once again to try and revive him, as the rainbow brought them to a forest in the clouds. Mainly, a tree where Kim, Jason, Harvey, Friend Bear and Secret Bear were already on.
Harvey was sitting on a tree branch, just chilling with that stupid smirk, which grew when he saw Aaron's limp body.
And Kim was barely holding on to another tree branch, the same one Sabrina and Aaron landed on, while Jason clung to her waist. Sabrina knew that the rainbow hadn't given them a safe landing either, meaning it was a dud.
Oh, and Friend Bear and Secret Bear were holding on to Jason's ankles.
"Wow. This doesn't look like the Earth I remember" Kim said.
"Maybe we're still in Care-A-Lot," Jason speculated.
"If this is Care-a-lot, then someone's been doing a little gardening since we left." Friend Bear said.
"Hey, Sabrina? What's wrong with Aaron?" Harvey asked with glee, not concern. As if he was happy that Aaron might die.
Sabrina decided to ignore Harvey and look down at Aaron, who was still not waking up. "Argh, what good is magic when it can't save people when it needs to?" Sabrina muttered to herself.
"Sabrina, what happened?" Kim asked.
"Aaron...Aaron is dead, or at least dying and I can't do anything to help him!" Sabrina admitted, feeling like crying all over again.
"How did it happen?" Jason asked.
"We...we ended up in space, and he saved me from a blast of magic...Wait a minute," Sabrina said, not liking the idea in her head but feeling like she had no other options.
"You two," she said, pointing at Friend Bear and Secret Bear, "you can help him. Please, save him," Sabrina pleaded.
"We can't. Even if we could, which we can't due to the path he is currently going down, his soul is already making its way to the other side." Friend Bear said as Secret Bear nodded her head in agreement.
Sabrina felt like her heart would break in two. However, she forced it to fix itself. She already lost one person that matters to her: her mother. She is not gonna lose Aaron too!
"Fuck whatever force wants Aaron's soul! I want us to fix our friendship!" Sabrina snapped, not caring about Harvey's issue with swearing and interlocking her fists. She then pounded Aaron's chest, waking him up.
Aaron exclaimed in pain as Sabrina, who didn't even realize the former was awake, slammed her fist down again, causing Aaron's ribs to break a bit.
Before Sabrina brought down her fists a third time, Aaron caught them at the last second.
"Sabrina, I think you got my ribs the first time," Aaron wheezed in pain, clutching his ribs.
"Aaron!" Sabrina cried out in relief as she hugged him tightly.
"Sabreeny, my ribs," Aaron said in a weak voice.
"Oh, sorry," Sabrina apologized, letting him go.
"What kind of training did you get at Camp Wicca?" Aaron asked, putting a hand on his ribs and trying to get the healing powers to kick in.
"CrossFit," Sabrina admitted.
"That explains it," Aaron said, wincing in pain as his healing powers were slowly mending his ribs, which were obviously painful to him. Sabrina felt a bit guilty for causing Aaron more pain. Not enough that she fell for Salem's trap and was more mad at Aaron than the cat. No, she just had to break Aaron's ribs.
"So, where are we?" Aaron asked.
Sabrina, at first, was upset that Aaron wasn't going to bring up anything that he mentioned while in space. Then she scolded herself for that. Of course Aaron would be thinking of anything else at the moment, especially since Harvey was nearby, barely hiding his jealousy of the attention Sabrina was giving to Aaron, and a tiny amount of anger that Aaron didn't die.
"We have no idea." Sabrina said, before the tree branch they were on started shaking.
"Whoa!" Friend Bear exclaimed as the tree branch started breaking under their weight.
"I can't hold on much longer!" Kim said.
Sabrina and Aaron, painfully, leaned over the branch and held Kim's hand to help her, Jason and the two Care Bears up onto the branch.
"Harvey, get your lazy ass over here and help! Or else, you will have something to fear in your nightmares tonight!" Sabrina shouted angrily, causing Harvey to have a look of terror.
"Y-Yes, Sabrina," Harvey said, his face pale with terror, as he helped the two grab Kim's hands. The three then try pulling the others up.
Secret Bear, however, noticed something and whispered into Friend Bear's ear.
"Secret Bear says not to worry about falling. Worry about the lion instead." Friend Bear said, before realizing what she said.
"Lion?!" Friend Bear, Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina and Aaron shouted as they looked down to see an orange lion climbing up the tree.
"What are we going to do?" Kim asked.
"Close your eyes. Maybe he won't see us." Friend Bear suggested as she, Secret Bear, Kim, Jason and Harvey closed their eyes.
"That is the most stupid idea I ever heard! And I had stupid plans before, so I know what I'm talking about." Aaron said, before clutching his ribs in pain again.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, mainly because I agree with you, Aaron, but what other options do we have?" Sabrina said.
"Ugh, fine. But if we get mauled by the lion, it's Harvey's fault." Aaron said, closing his eyes.
"Hey!" Harvey complained.
"Zip it, Harv. I have words to say to you after this is over," Sabrina snapped, causing Harvey to be silent. She then closed her eyes as well.
Friend Bear and Secret Bear open their eyes, noticing that the lion is gone. "See? He's gone," Friend Bear said.
"And this is why we listen to Care Bears more often, Aaron." Harvey gloated as the five kids opened their eyes.
"Zip it, Kinkles." Aaron snapped.
Secret Bear looks up and taps Friend Bear on the shoulder, pointing upwards.
The lion wasn't gone, it was near the kids.
Kim let out a whimper of fear, Harvey screamed(like a girl this time) and Aaron and Sabrina were frozen in fear.
"Kim!" Jason said in fear of his older sister getting attacked by the lion.
"Give me your hand, slowly." The lion said, only for the branch to break under the weight of the five kids, two Care Bears, and the lion.
"Oh no!" Jason said, just as a monkey grabbed the lion's tail, trying to keep everyone from falling, since the lion was still holding on to the branch(which Aaron, Sabrina and Harvey were holding on to the bottom of). However, that failed, and everyone, including the lion and the monkey, fell down.
However, their landing was soft due to the grass being thick enough to soften the impact of their fall. Not to mention that the ground was literally clouds.
Though the landing caused Aaron to gasp painfully, clutching his ribs. The fall, plus the landing, shook everything up, making Aaron feel like the area around his ribs went through a motorcycle derby powered by blenders.
Sabrina helped Aaron up to his feet and carried him to a tree, which he leaned on.
"Hey, they don't have any tails." The monkey observed after patting Jason on the rear end. The monkey then went up into the trees.
"Wow. The monkey can talk," Jason said in amazement.
Kim was brushing herself off only for the monkey to touch her ponytail. "What happened to all your fur?" asked the monkey before going back up into the trees,
"We-We never had any fur." Kim answered with a shrug.
"That's impossible! Every monkey has fur," the lion claimed.
"And who said they were monkeys? Hmm?" asked the monkey, hanging off a tree branch via his tail.
"Well, they were up in the tree," the lion pointed out.
"I know. They're lions with haircuts." The monkey guessed, leaning on Secret Bear's shoulders.
"We're not lions, or monkeys!" Kim said.
"Yeah! We're people!" Jason said with his hands on his hips.
"And we're Care Bears," added Friend Bear, leaning on the monkey's shoulders. The monkey walked towards the lion's direction, causing Friend Bear and Secret Bear to fall onto the ground.
Kim laughed at that.
"Where did you come from?" Jason asked the lion and monkey.
"Why, we live here. Everyone in the Forest of Feelings knows of Playful Heart Monkey and Brave Heart Lion." Brave Heart Lion explained.
"Forest of Feelings?" Friend Bear asked, as she and Secret Bear gave each other a confused glance.
"Well, we're from Earth." Jason said.
"And Care-A-Lot," Friend Bear added.
"Earth? Care-A-Lot? There's no such place." Playful Heart Monkey said, laughing.
"There is too." Jason argued as he, Kim, Friend Bear, Sabrina and Aaron glared at Playful Heart Monkey.
"Don't mind Playful Heart. He loves to laugh at anything. I've heard tales long ago about other places. What are these other places like?" Brave Heart Lion asked.
"Oh boy, we get to explain something in song!" Harvey shouted.
"Harvey, you are so insensitive! Aaron needs to recover. Plus, don't you remember that we have a job to do?" Sabrina asked, irritated.
"Come on, Sabrina. Aaron isn't hurt too badly, if he can still walk. Plus, we need this to take off some stress that, um, Aaron's death brought on." Harvey said with false sympathy.
Before Sabrina could decide whether to strangle Harvey or scare him with magic(not the first time she did so. Though that time got Aaron suspended from school, plus the town fears her even though they forgot the reason why), Aaron put a hand on her shoulder.
"Sabreeny, don't do what I think you're about to do," Aaron whispered.
"But," Sabrina protested.
"I got this," Aaron assured before looking at Harvey.
"Fine. We'll do the musical number, but then you have to act like a true friend, caring about others' problems. Unless you have something to admit that makes you not a true friend?" Aaron asked.
Sabrina realized the intentions of Aaron's words. He was calling Harvey out for acting like a terrible person and not hiding it, so he is giving Harvey two options: continue with this game and reveal to the Care Bears he's not who he claims he is, or pretend to be nice until everything is done, and then they can deal with this back in Greendale.
And given Harvey's expression, it's exactly like it was the day after the Halloween party. He doesn't want to admit that he did terrible things, so he'll take the other option so that he can look good.
"Of course I'm a good friend. And to be true to my words, I'll let you and Sabrina go at your own paces," Harvey said through clenched teeth, despite the fake smile plastered on his face.
"Good then." Aaron said as Sabrina helped him up and put one of his arms around her shoulder.
Everyone started walking down a trail, walking to the rhythm of music playing from somewhere.
"Do you have a place where rainbows grow
"To carry a bear who's sliding?" Friend Bear asked Brave Heart Lion, thinking about watering the clouds until they produced rainbows that connect multiple clouds together and sliding on said rainbows.
"Well, I have a rock in a cave below
"Just perfect for hiding" Brave Heart Lion replied, thinking about his cave, which there might be bats in.
"Do you have a house made all out of wood" Jason sang, drawing a picture of a house on the ground with a stick.
"For keeping you dry when it's raining?" Jason remembered one of those rainy days, where he would look out of the window at the rain pouring down.
"I stay on top when the rain goes drop
"Look, I'm hydroplaning. Wee!" Friend Bear sang, remembering hydroplaning on the waters whenever it rains.
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth aren't far apart
"They differ in some ways, some ways not" The Care Bears, Brave Heart Lion, Playful Heart Monkey, Kim, Jason and Harvey sang while Aaron and Sabrina kept silent. However, they all were holding hands, spinning around and falling onto the ground on their rear ends.
"'Cause home is in your heart" Jason sang, his hands over his heart as Secret Bear beamed at that.
"Do you have a star that can travel far
"And tell you what my star told me?" Friend Bear asked as said star flew around for a bit before whispering something into Friend Bear's ear that caused her to laugh.
"No, but I have a tree that plays with me"
"With branches that swing and enfold me" Playful Heart Monkey sang, as he played around with said tree.
"Do you have a flower? We call it a rose
"Its petals are softer than pillows" Kim sang as Secret Bear felt the rose, surprised by its softness.
"Look! I see a bee on Friend Bear's nose!" Playful Heart Monkey said, as the bee was preparing to sting Friend Bear in the nose.
"Stop! Stay perfectly still," Kim advised as she held the rose so that the bee could see it. She then threw it, as the bee flew after it.
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth are the homes we claim
"Loving each other
"What we've got are places with a different name
"But they're all the same" Everyone, except for Aaron and Sabrina, sang as they spun around, tying ribbons to a pole. They all went down a rainbow slide shortly after that.
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth are the homes we claim (Right here with you, my friend)
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth are all the same (We are all the same)" Everyone landed in the clouds at the bottom of the slide.
"Do you have a bed where you sleep at night
"With billowy blankets all over?" Jason asked, thinking about sleeping in a comfortable bed.
"I sleep in a thicket, on soft green grass, covered with cushiony clover." Playful Heart Monkey said, thinking about sleeping in the thickets.
"My bed is cozy and light as a cloud." Friend Bear said, spinning around.
"Your bed is a cloud!" Kim reminded.
"Oh, yeah." Friend Bear said with an embarrassed laughter.
"Colors and flowers and hearts in a crown
"Are just about everywhere" Everyone, excluding Aaron and Sabrina, sang as a circle of colors, flowers, and hearts spun around, disappearing.
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth aren't far apart" Everyone, excluding Aaron and Sabrina, sang as they all walked down the trail, with Aaron and Sabrina walking slowly behind them.
"They differ in some ways, some ways not" Jason sang as he got pulled by Secret Bear.
"'Cause home is in your heart (Home is in your heart)" Everyone, except for Aaron and Sabrina, sang as they started running, which caused Aaron and Sabrina to speed-walk.
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth are the homes we claim
"We love each other, loving each other
"What we've got are places with a different name
"Home is all the same
"Forest of Feelings, Care-a-lot
"And earth aren't far apart" Everyone started spinning around a tree, except for Aaron and Sabrina, who just caught up to the others, panting.
"They differ in some ways, some ways not
"'Cause home is in your heart
"Home is in your heart
"Home is in your heart" Everyone that was singing the song finished as birds in the colors of the rainbow flew off, making a rainbow trail behind them. Aaron and Sabrina leaned on a tree, exhausted.
"You're welcome to stay in the Forest of Feelings as long as you like." Brave Heart Lion told everyone.
"Thank you, Brave Heart, but the sooner we leave the better. If we don't hurry, Care-a-lot may not be there when we get back." Friend Bear explained.
"We have to find a way back to Earth." Kim said.
"To help stop the evil spirit from taking all the feelings from everybody." Jason added.
"Come on, everybody." Brave Heart Lion said, running ahead.
"Where?" asked Kim.
"If there is a way out of the Forest of Feelings, we'll help you find it. This way!" Brave Heart Lion said as he and Playful Heart Monkey lead everyone.
"Aaron, this has nothing to do with you. But this is beginning to get quite annoying," Sabrina grumbled as she helped Aaron onto his feet, frustrated that no one(mainly the Care Bears, Harvey or even Brave Heart Lion and Playful Heart Monkey) didn't offer to help her with Aaron.
"I know. After this, wanna give Harvey his just dessert?" Aaron asked, leaning on Sabrina's shoulder.
"Next week. Right now, I know a certain cat who's going to get punished once this is over," Sabrina replied as she and Aaron slowly followed after the others.
Nicolas and The Spirit's P.O.V.-Random Circus, Manhattan, New York
Some green smoke came out of the window of the false castle as Nicholas finished the spell. "There! The spell is cast. Now everyone in town will know the loneliness they've made me feel." Nicolas gloated.
"Not quite. Look," The Spirit said, using magic to show Nicholas an image of the Forest of Feelings.
"These four small children still care very much about everyone, except you." The Spirit lied, though her voice betrayed the shock of seeing the brat she killed being alive.
How? I know the blast killed him, I felt it. Unless...she mused in her thoughts, glancing at Sabrina. Of course. Even at that age, her magic is slightly stronger than Hilda and Zelda's combined. She must have used her magic to kick-start his, forcing him to revive himself. If her magic grows...well, the rules of the genies be damned when she's around.
Not to mention that brat, The Spirit glanced at Aaron's image shimmering in the cauldron, who is exactly like her. The same person who banished me into my own castle in the first place. If I allow him to keep his hope, he'll end up like her one day.
"But they were to fall under my spell." Nicholas complained, so sure that he caused everyone to be YouTube commenters.
"Ah, but those-those soft little bears shield them from your spells with their love and caring." The Spirit explained, while thinking of how her plan will fail due to the niece of Hilda and Zelda, and the magical friend of said niece.
"Let them go! I'm even now!" Nicholas stated, walking off to the side.
"Are you? What about all the others?" The Spirit asked, a bit smug about how she could get under Nicholas's skin.
"Others?" Nicholas asked, curious.
"All the others that you have not yet cast your spells on. All the others that still care." The Spirit explained, rolling her eyes.
"I've gotten even with the whole town. That's all I wanted." Nicholas said, no longer enjoying this.
"The others will come after you for what you've done." The Spirit lied again, shifting all the blame onto Nicholas.
"What should I do?" Nicholas asked, worried.
"You must finish it. Go ahead, say it!" The Spirit commanded as Nicholas approached her cautiously.
"Meebo, weebo. Tip, top. Weebo, zeebo. Zip! Zap! Zot!" Nicholas recited as the cauldron turned purple and a face appeared with green eyes, yellow sclera.
Nicholas screamed as it burst out of the cauldron in a purple cloud.
"This spell will seek out the children and bring them to us at any cost," The Spirit explained.
Plus, it will kill that niece of Hilda and Zelda Spellman. That way, once she dies, that other brat will lose all hope to help seal me. Goodbye, Sabrina Spellman. My only regret is not breaking you emotionally enough before killing you. The Spirit added in her thoughts.
"I-Isn't-Isn't there another way?" Nicholas stuttered out.
"No! They must be taught a lesson! A lesson for the children. A lesson for the town! A lesson for everyone." The Spirit hissed.
"What do you mean, everyone?" Nicholas asked, not liking the sound of that.
"Now go!" The Spirit ordered, as the purple fart cloud listened, even picking up on who she wanted dead.
"You said, a lesson. What kind of lesson?" Nicholas asked, still worried about The Spirit's motives.
"Never mind that. You must now collect the ingredients for your next spell." The Spirit said, waving off Nicholas's questions.
Nicholas wanted to question more, but fears that The Spirit will no longer want to be his friend, so he decided to drop it.
Care Bear's P.O.V.-Forest of Feelings...Somewhere along the river
"There's nothing ahead that tells us where we are, Tenderheart." Wish Bear said, using her starscope(and somehow not noticing the amount of trees and land).
"Bear overboard! Bear overboard!" Love-A-Lot Bear cried out.
Wish Bear turned around to see which one of the Care Bears fell overboard, only to avoid falling overboard herself by grabbing the stand the starscope was on.
"Bedtime Bear went to sleep and fell overboard," Love-A-Lot Bear explained as Tenderheart and Wish Bear walked over to her. "Look!" She pointed at the part of the river, where Bedtime Bear was under water.
Suddenly, he floated up to the surface, still asleep. The Care Bears looked at each other, wondering how Bedtime Bear floated back to the surface.
Suddenly, a purple penguin appeared under Bedtime Bear, carrying him using its head. "Hi. I think you've lost something." The purple penguin said.
"Oh, thank you very much," Love-A-Lot Bear said as the penguin swam up to the ship. "I'm sure Bedtime Bear will thank you, too, when he wakes up." Love-A-Lot Bear added, as she and Wish Bear gently put Bedtime Bear on the ship floor.
"No thanks needed. I'm Cozy Heart Penguin. Helping someone in need is what warms my heart and keeps me cozy." Cozy Heart Penguin explained as she hugged herself. She then dove into the water, causing it to spray on Tenderheart, who shivered.
(A/N: Cozy Heart Penguin. Only $9.99. Don't stop bothering your parents until you have one. Steal from them if you must, Santa says it's okay. Only $9.99! Pester, scream and yell at your parents until they finally break down and buy you one! It's more important than breathing. I'm the author's brother, and I make jokes so you don't have to.)
"Well, it must work, Cozy Heart. This water's freezing!" Tenderheart stated, shivering due to the cold water.
"I love it!" Cozy Heart Penguin said, hopping onto the ship. Everyone started laughing, for some reason.
However, they didn't notice an evil magical purple fart cloud spying on them. It headed into the water, becoming a fish, and went after the ship.
It then spun under the ship, making a whirlpool.
"First we have to find Kim and Jason, and then..." Tenderheart began explaining, before feeling the wheel tugged forcefully to one side. "Uh-oh. Something's pulling at the wheel." Tenderheart said, trying to regain control and failing.
"Tenderheart, why are you turning here?" Wish Bear asked.
"I'm not! The boat is turning by itself!" Tenderheart said, trying hard to regain control of the boat.
"We're caught in some kind of whirlpool!" Love-A-Lot Bear said, stating the obvious.
The evil purple fish spun faster, making the whirlpool spin quicker and harder. The whirlpool is now so fast, the ship was not only caught in the middle, but would also sink.
Feeling like its job was done, the purple fish decide to go find the kids to kill Sabrina Spellman and bring the others to The Spirit.
"Somebody do something!" Wish Bear shouted.
"A rope! Throw me a rope!" A random voice shouted.
"Do as she says!" Cozy Heart Penguin said over the others.
"Quick!" One of the Care Bears exclaimed.
Wish Bear jumped down and grabbed the rope and used the Care Bear to make a little star. "Guide this rope, little star." Wish Bear tied the rope to the star and threw it.
As the star went towards the voice, Wish Bear tied the other end of the rope to the mast. The ship was then slowly pulled out of the whirlpool towards the direction of the voice.
"Oh, Champ Bear, we're saved!" Love-A-Lot Bear said as she and Champ Bear started spinning around.
Wish Bear looked through the starscope at the direction of the voice, where everyone heard the sound of an elephant trumpet. Champ Bear and Love-A-Lot Bear held on to each other in fear.
Cozy Heart Penguin laughs as she hops to the side of the ship. "May I introduce the strongest, most fearsome creature in the entire Forest of Feelings, Lotsa Heart Elephant." Cozy Heart said as Lotsa Heart Elephant, who was pink pop out from the leaves.
"Hello," Lotsa Heart Elephant greeted the Care Bears.
"Hey, you're a lot smaller than you sound." Champ Bear said.
"It's true that I'm not big, but it's amazing what you can do if you really put your heart into it." Lotsa Heart said before letting out another trumpet and then laughing a bit. "Sometimes I even startle myself."
The Care Bears laugh along with Lotsa Heart Elephant.
Nicholas and The Spirit's P.O.V.-Random Circus, Manhattan
"It's not going to work. Even the Spell can't defeat them." Nicholas told The Spirit, the two of them watching the moment through the cauldron.
"Spell was just having a little sport. The children are his true goal. Perhaps a sprinkle of toadstool mold would speed things up." The Spirit laughed as she poured the toadstool mold into the cauldron using a green misty hand, powering up the spell.
Meanwhile-Good Luck Bear and Grumpy Bear's P.O.V.-Care-A-Lot
"Grumpy Bear! Grumpy Bear!" Good Luck Bear shouted, leaning over the rails.
Grumpy Bear, who was fixing the Rainbow Rescue Beam, heard his name being called and raised his head, only to hit the console he was fixing.
"Ouch! Ow, ow, ow." Grumpy Bear said, holding his head in pain.
"The Caring Meter is down to five. If it reaches zero, Care-a-lot is finished!" Good Luck Bear exclaimed.
"And no one will care anymore." Grumpy Bear added.
"Any luck fixing the Rainbow Rescue Beam?" Good Luck Bear asked.
"I think I used up all my good luck getting this far," Grumpy Bear said, going back under the console to fix it.
"Maybe your luck's run out, but not mine!" Good Luck Bear said, using the Care Bear Stare to make a four leaf clover. He then headed down the ramp towards Grumpy Bear.
"I need a piece that looks like this," Grumpy Bear said, coming out from the console.
Good Luck Bear slipped on something and fell, while the thing he slipped on hit Grumpy in the face. It was a lollipop.
"Try that. It's Baby Hugs' lollipop." Good Luck Bear suggested.
"Perfect! You know, Baby Hugs and Tugs are gonna make fine Care Bears...one of these days." Grumpy Bear said just as thunder crashed in the distance.
Meanwhile-Everyone's P.O.V.-Forest of Feelings, Somewhere between Earth and Care-A-Lot
"You rest there while I scout up ahead," Brave Heart told the five kids, two Care Bears and Playful Heart Monkey as he went to check for danger.
"Best idea all day. And that's the saddest thing I had ever agreed to my whole life when it comes from a giant, orange talking lion." Sabrina said as she, Kim and Jason helped Aaron, whose ribs were not fully mended, but enough that he can move on his own by this point, onto the ground.
An hour earlier, Kim and Jason, noticing that Aaron and Sabrina were way behind the group, decided to help Sabrina with moving Aaron, which Sabrina is grateful for. At least Kim and Jason had proven themselves to be true friends, helping her with Aaron. Unlike Harvey, those Care Bears, nor even Brave Heart Lion and Playful Heart Monkey, all who were either talking amongst themselves(the latter four) or glaring at Aaron for needing help to walk(*cough* Harvey *cough*).
However, as they all sat down to relax, and take a breather, they didn't notice the tree they were sitting under suddenly came to life, courtesy of the spell.
"While Brave Heart's gone, let's play a guessing game. What am I?" Playful Heart Monkey said, about to do charades, only to notice the evil tree and was startled by it.
He attempted to warn the kids, but his words were incoherentable muttering that they didn't pick up on.
"Gee, I don't know," Kim said, thinking it was part of the guessing game.
"Look out!" Playful Heart Monkey shouted at the last minute.
Kim and Jason were grabbed by one arm, or branch, of the evil tree, while Sabrina was grabbed by a second and Harvey were grabbed by a third. Only by sheer luck, plus the pain of his ribs, that Aaron barely avoided getting grabbed by laying flat on the ground.
"Help! Let us go! Help!" Sabrina, Harvey, Kim and Jason called out, as the two Care Bears and Playful Heart Monkey were trying to figure out how to do so.
However, the tree started putting pressure on Sabrina, trying to crush her, which was causing her pain.
"Sabreeny, no!" Aaron cried out, trying to get up, only to fall down in pain. He held up his own hands, which were glowing dimly.
He attempted to snap his fingers in the direction of Sabrina, Kim and Jason, hoping that his magic would either zap them next to him or cause the tree's arms to be replaced with daisies. However, nothing happened.
"Argh! What good is being magical when you have to keep it a secret all the time? What good can it do when it can't even work?!" Aaron shouted to the skies. "What's the point when it can't even save those who live matter?!"
In blind fury and desperation, Aaron remembered the magic circle he did the day before the roadtrip to New York happened. All out of ideas, mainly due to Sabrina screaming in pain, plus the others screaming in fear, Aaron drew a circle in the air, aiming it at the tree branch that held Sabrina.
The circle, Aaron noticed, was gold as a golden laser, the same one that Aaron thought was a dream, the very same laser last seen four years ago, came out of the circle and cut the branch off, freeing Sabrina. It also hit the tree in the left eye, blinding that eye. Aaron painfully slid on the ground and caught Sabrina, who was luckily not seriously injured.
"Aaron, what was that?" Sabrina breathed, forcing her lungs to get oxygen again.
"I-I have no idea. It's just something I can do apparently," Aaron admitted.
Well, it seems like the universe has a cruel sense of humor. Aaron gets hated by Greendale, yet he gets the cool magic circles, even if he has no idea how to do them. I get to lose my mother, my father's love, almost lost Aaron and almost killed by a tree, on top of getting no therapy from Care Bears, all in the same year. But, at least I still have friends. Sabrina mused, before remembering Kim and Jason's situation.
"Oh gods, we need to save them!" Sabrina said.
"With magic, since the cat's out of the bag," Aaron added, as he painfully pulled himself up to his feet while Friend Bear, Secret Bear and Playful Heart Monkey were shocked by the display of magic.
However, it seems like doing one magic circle is his limit in his current state, since he fell to his knees.
"Aaron!" Sabrina cried, kneeling down next to Aaron.
"Guess I failed in being a friend, huh? Still choosing the options that matters to me," Aaron said.
"Aaron, stop saying that about yourself. As you could see, the tree won't kill Kim, Jason and Harvey, but it wants to kill me for some reason. Plus, this is the second time today you saved me from getting killed by the fucking universe. If that's not a sign of being true friends to those two," Sabrina said, glancing at the two Care Bears, "then that's their loss."
Right at that moment, Brave Heart Lion showed up and noticed the situation. "Charge!" He shouted, running towards the tree, only to be slapped aside.
"Wow. Fail." Sabrina said, holding up a sign that read, 'Fail!' in big red letters.
"Don't you mean Mega Fail?" Aaron asked, holding a similar sign, except this one read, 'Mega Fail!'.
"No, because it's the first time." Sabrina said.
"All right, you asked for it!" Friend Bear said to the tree as she attempted to climb it, only to be grabbed by a vine. "Whoa!" She exclaimed as she was pulled into the leaves.
Brave Heart Lion attempted to hit the tree roots with a thick tree branch, but that did nothing. Not only that, but the tree grabbed Playful Heart Monkey and Secret Bear with more vines, pulling them into the leaves as well.
Suddenly, a blue rabbit came out of nowhere and ran towards the tree.
"Let them go!" Brave Heart told the tree, only for a blue streak to go past him up the tree, stopping on a branch.
"Swift Heart!" Brave Heart Lion said, recognizing the blue rabbit.
Swift Heart zipped around the tree, chewing on the branches and freeing Friend Bear, Secret Bear and Playful Heart Monkey from the tree's grasp and blowing a raspberry at it.
"Watch it. You'll get someone killed," Harvey complained, meaning mostly him.
"Eh. At least Kim and Jason will be saved," Sabrina shrugged.
"Sabrina!" Harvey said, shocked by her words.
"Sorry if I'm a bit dazed from being crushed by a tree, not to mention having to carry Aaron half the time without your help!" Sabrina snapped.
"Yeah. There were faint rubber duck noises coming from you," Aaron added.
"Aaron, not the time," Sabrina said calmly.
"I think you need to see a hospital after this," Aaron continued.
"Aaron, I said not now!" Sabrina shouted with an embarrassed expression.
The tree attempted to grab Swift Heart Rabbit, only for the latter to zip around the tree, going around the branches and causing the tree to get all tangled up.
At the same time, Playful Heart Monkey helped Kim, Jason and Harvey out of the branches.
"Let's get out of here. Come on, Swift Heart," Brave Heart Lion called out.
"I'm way ahead of you." Swift Heart Rabbit said, leaning against a tree casually.
Kim and Jason laughed until the tree growled. "Oh, no!" Jason said as the tree attempted to grab everyone again. Aaron tackled Sabrina to the ground, just as one of the branches passed over them.
Kim and Jason helped them up and everyone ran away, except Aaron who had to limp fast, from the tree to safety. They look behind to see the spell leaving the tree, going away for now.
"That's the most unfriendly tree I've ever seen." Swift Heart Rabbit said.
"Well, thanks to you, Swift Heart, we're safe for now." Brave Heart Lion said.
"There's a serious task at hand, Swift Heart. It seems that the evil spirit is after Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina and Aaron." Friend Bear said.
"An evil spirit in the Forest of Feelings?" Swift Heart Rabbit asked.
"We'll fill you in as we go. Let's get moving." Brave Heart Lion said as everyone, except for Aaron and Sabrina, ran. The two sped walked, despite Aaron limping due to rib pain.
"Hey, Sabreeny, sorry that I don't know your hopes and dreams," Aaron said as they move slowly after the others.
"Aaron, forgive me for this," Sabrina said, before gripping Aaron by the shoulders and shaking him. "We never talked about those things before! Even if we did, we're 12 years old! It's not like they really matter yet!" Sabrina shouted in Aaron's face.
"That's the thing, Sabrina! We never thought to talk about our hopes and dreams, yet the Care Bears seem to know yours," Aaron said.
"No, they don't. And if they do, they would be the one to save me, not you. You saving me from the universe dumping on me today proves you're better than them." Sabrina said.
"So, does this mean you forgive me?" Aaron asked with a hopeful smile.
"Maybe, after all of this is said and done," Sabrina said as Kim and Jason walked towards Sabrina and Aaron to keep them company.
"So, you two can do magic?" Kim asked.
"Ye-Dang it," Aaron said.
"Don't worry, we won't tell anyone else." Jason said.
"We're not even mad that you didn't tell us. You," Kim pointed at Aaron, " we just met. And Sabrina, well, we know you have a lot on your mind."
"That, and the rules that we're not supposed to blab to more than one mortal about this," Sabrina said.
"Well, you two didn't tell us exactly. We just saw you performing magic, like what happened with the tree or even when you brought Aaron alive again." Jason pointed out.
"...Touche," Aaron and Sabrina conceded.
"So, who did you two tell?" Kim asked, curious.
"Well, I told Chloe, another sort of friend of mine who is still in Greendale." Sabrina admitted.
"And you, Aaron?" Jason wondered.
"Um, well," Aaron looked everywhere but one specific person. Sabrina's heart sank as she glanced at Harvey, who was busy charming the Care Bears, Brave Heart Lion, Swift Heart Rabbit and Playful Heart Monkey.
"Aaron, you didn't. Not during that sleepover," Sabrina said in a shaky, yet hushed tone.
"Um...yes," Aaron said, looking away.
Sabrina felt like the world would've blown up. Oh gods, that explains why Harvey is jealous towards Aaron for no reason. He's jealous because Aaron has magic!
Everyone's P.O.V.-Cloudship, Other Side of Forest of Feelings
The cloudship went down the river, in between two cliffs.
"Lotsa Heart, do you think this river might lead us down to Earth?" Tenderheart Bear asked Lotsa Heart Elephant.
"It has to go somewhere." Lotsa Heart Elephant said.
"Hang on, everyone, we're going for a ride." Tenderheart cautioned as the boat went down a rapid current, heading downwards.
"Look, a cave!" Lotsa Heart Elephant said as they went into the cave, which is pitch dark.
"I can't see a thing." Tenderheart commented.
"Steer to the left!" A random voice called out from somewhere close by.
"Who said that?" asked Tenderheart.
"Not me," Funshine Bear said.
"Neither did I," added Love-A-Lot Bear.
"It wasn't me." Wish Bear stated.
"It was me! I said it!" The voice said, sounding closer now.
"Who are you?" Tenderheart asked.
"Don't ask questions. Steer left, quick!" The voice said, now coming from somewhere on the ship.
"Hang on everyone!" Tenderheart said, steering left and narrowly avoiding a bunch of rocks.
"Phew, that was close. You almost smashed right into a big rock." The voice said, right next to Tenderheart.
"Look! I see light up ahead!" Funshine Bear pointed to the cave's exit, where light was pouring in.
They sailed through the exit, leaving the cave behind them. Tenderheart looked up to see a purple raccoon, realizing that's who had been telling him to steer left.
"A raccoon? No wonder you could see in the dark." Tenderheart said.
"Not just a raccoon. Bright Heart Raccoon." Lotsa Heart Elephant said.
"I can usually see my way through anything." Bright Heart Raccoon bragged.
"Waterfalls ahead!" Wish Bear shouted, shocking everyone as they saw the waterfall up ahead.
"We better do something quick. Care Bears!" Tenderheart shouted. The Care Bears went into a group huddle and whispered about their options to stop the ship from going over the waterfall.
"Ready? Now!" Tenderheart said as the Care Bears used the Care Bear Stare to make a giant heart balloon at the top of the mast, which allowed the ship to float next to the waterfall.
"Well done, Care Bears." Tenderheart said as Lotsa Heart Elephant and Bright Heart Raccoon uncovered their eyes.
"Let's hear it for the Care Bears!" Lotsa Heart Elephant said.
"Hip, hip, hurray! Hip, hip, hurray!" Lotsa Heart Elephant and Bright Heart Raccoon cheered for the Care Bears as the cloudship floated off towards the other side of the Forest of Feelings and hopefully towards the missing kids and Care Bears.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Forest of Feelings
Everyone was walking. Aaron was using a pole that he conjured up with another magic circle. which physically drained him, but he insisted so he wouldn't have to force Sabrina to exhaust herself, to walk at the same pace as everyone else.
Suddenly, a huge shadow passed over them. "Oh no!" Brave Heart Lion cried out as the spell returned, taking the form of a giant bird. With ONE EYYYYYYEEEEEEEE!
{AN: Sorry for the terrible joke you're no doubt reading.}
"Run!" Brave Heart Lion told everyone, as they began running. Except Aaron, who sped walk after the others. However, the kids, excluding Harvey, started to notice that Brave Heart wasn't running with them.
"Brave Heart!" Kim called out, as she, Jason, Sabrina and Aaron stopped in their tracks.
Brave Heart Lion raised his paws up in a fistcuff style, about to deck the evil bird. However, it flew quickly, slamming into him and causing him to spin onto the ground.
"You know, you're really bad at this. Just because you're brave doesn't mean you're capable," Sabrina said, holding up the 'Fail' sign.
Before Aaron held up the 'Mega Fail' sign, Sabrina forced his arm down.
The four kids then gasped as the bird flew over to them, attempting to grab them. Luckily, they jump onto the ground, avoiding the bird's talons.
The four kids ran, despite Aaron's ribs throbbing in pain, as the bird flew towards them, prepared to make another pass. Everyone stopped, due to being cornered near a cliff, realizing how screwed they are.
Playful Heart Monkey used a vine to get on the bird, causing it to lose focus on grabbing the kids, who slid down the cliff's steep slope down the bottom.
However, the bird snarled at Playful Heart Monkey, causing him to fall off, scared. Luckily he landed on a tree branch on a tree that was above the ravine the kids were stuck in.
"Are you okay, Kim? Sabrina? Aaron?" Jason asked, as the five kids rubbed their heads.
"Jason, Sabrina, Aaron, we've got to run!" Kim said.
"Where? We're trapped," Jason pointed out.
"Yeah. And what about me?" Harvey asked.
"What plan do you have, Harvey?" Aaron asked Harvey sarcastically.
Harvey opened his mouth, only to close it.
"Exactly what I thought." Aaron said, just as the bird let out a triumphant sound.
"And that bird knows we're trapped, too." Jason said.
"This is officially the worst way to go out: getting killed by a giant bird," Sabrina said.
"We can't reach them!" Friend Bear said, realizing there's no way for any of them to reach the kids without the bird getting to them first.
Secret Bear whispers in Friend Bear's ear. "You're right, Secret Bear. Our only hope is a Care Bear Stare. I just hope it works. There's only two of us." Friend Bear pointed out.
However, Secret Bear made a bunch of fighting gestures, telling Friend Bear to have hope. "Right again. We've got to try." Friend Bear said.
The bird flew down, prepared to grab the kids, and kill Sabrina. Kim and Jason hugged each other as Aaron stood in front of Sabrina protectively. Harvey hid behind Kim and Jason, muttering about how he's too young and the bird can just take everyone else and leave him alone.
"Care Bear Stare!" Friend Bear shouted as she and Secret Bear shot rainbow beams from their belly badges at the bird, hurting it slightly.
"C-Chomp the rainbow, I guess?" Aaron joked lamely. However, the bird flew out of the way of the Care Bear Stare, recovering quickly.
" The two of us aren't enough!" Friend Bear lamented.
The bird came back towards the kids, intent on fulfilling its task, regardless of any interruptions, as Brave Heart Lion and Swift Heart Rabbit slid down the cliff's slope.
"Oh no!" Friend Bear shouted, knowing that Brave Heart Lion and Swift Heart Rabbit were not going to reach the kids in time.
Just as the bird was about to grab the kids, it got blasted by the Care Bear Stare again. However, it came from the river, and it was more powerful.
"Look!" Friend Bear pointed at the spot the Care Bear Stare was coming from. A cloudship sailed towards the group, with the Care Bear Stare coming from the ship.
"TASTE THE RAINBOW, MOTHERFUCKER!" Sabrina shouted, swearing at the bird.
"Sabrina! La-" Harvey began.
"Harv, shut up. Let her have her moment," Aaron told Harvey, who proceeded to pout.
"Care Bear Stare!" Friend Bear shouted again, as she and Secret Bear added to the Care Bear Stare.
The bird, hit by too much positive emotions, died.
Everyone started cheering about the bird being dispelled and their survival.
"Pff, fuck caring. The answer to this problem was violence-wonderful, caring violence," Aaron said as he and Sabrina interlocked their arms and started spinning around, ignoring Aaron's rib pain and allowing Kim and Jason to join in their fun.
Secret Bear and Friend Bear slid down the slope, joining the others in their cheer fest. "That was magnificent. Your friends arrived just in time." Brave Heart Lion told the two, walking up to them.
The cloudship docked near them, and a rainbow appeared, acting like a gangway. Tenderheart slid down it and ran to the kids.
"Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina, Aaron! You're alright!" Tenderheart said, hugging Kim, who returned the hug.
"Thanks to our new friends," Kim said, as Tenderheart and Jason hug each next.
Brave Heart Lion, Swift Heart Rabbit and Playful Heart Monkey stood there with smiles, glad to help out the five kids, Friend Bear and Secret Bear.
"I know exactly what you mean," Tenderheart said, gesturing to Lotsa Heart Elephant, Bright Heart Raccoon and Cozy Heart Penguin, all of whom were standing on the cloudship.
"I think things will get a lot easier now that we're together, Brave Heart." Lotsa Heart Elephant remarked.
"I couldn't agree with you more, Lotsa Heart." Brave Heart Lion agreed, before turning his attention towards the kids.
"Soon you'll be out of the Forest of Feelings. Then your journey will really begin." He told the kids, causing Kim and Jason to be confused.
"You're not coming with us?" Jason asked, surprised about the fact that the new friends he and Kim made in the Forest of Feelings might not be coming with them.
"Well, uh, yes, if you think we could help." Brave Heart Lion said after thinking for a moment.
"Glad to have you along. We can use all the help we can get." Tenderheart said.
"Well, in that case..." Brave Heart Lion said before letting out a roar. Lotsa Heart Elephant knew what Brave Heart was doing: calling all the others who were in the Forest of Feelings. He let out a trumpet to help with calling the others.
"We're calling for the loyal hearts
"Wherever they may be" Brave Heart Lion sang, as Loyal Heart Dog drop the chew bone he was about to bury and ran towards the direction of the call.
"We're calling for the proud hearts
"To come and follow me" Lotsa Heart Elephant sang as Proud Heart Cat heard and headed towards the call, deciding to lick herself some other time.
"We're calling for the gentle hearts
"To keep us company" Brave Heart Lion sang as Gentle Heart Lamb heard and headed towards the sound.
"And it would be a treat heart
"If you would follow me" Lotsa Heart Elephant sang as Treat Heart Pig saw the other three heading towards the sound and followed after them.
"'Cause there's a job to be done
"We're gonna need everyone
"Because nobody can do it alone
"We'll need the swift and the small
"We'll need the strong and the tall
"'Cause everyone has a strength of their own"
Brave Heart caught those who came out of the Forest of Feelings and tossed them to Lotsa Heart, who caught Loyal Heart, Proud Heart and Treat Heart. After tossing Gentle Heart towards Lotsa Heart, Brave Heart realized his mistake, but only too late.
Swift Heart tried to avert the situation by running in front of Lotsa Heart to catch Gentle Heart, but the momentum pushed them onto Lotsa Heart, causing him to lose his balance and all of them to fall down.
"And when you put it all together
"Then there's a power no one can deny"
However, they all got up and started dancing with everyone, ignoring the whole falling down on the ground thing.
"It's the power to share, it's the power to care
"'Cause when you care you're not afraid to try
"Yeah!"
Everyone, excluding Aaron, Sabrina and Harvey, who was glaring at Aaron and Sabrina, were dancing and enjoying the moment.
"And when you put it all together
"Then there's a power no one can deny
"It's the power to share, it's the power to care
"When you care, you're not afraid to try "
Everyone got on the ship, though the rainbow gangway disappeared under Secret Bear, causing her to almost fall into the frigid waters. Luckily, Love-A-Lot Bear grabbed Secret Bear's paws and pulled her up into the cloudship as they sailed from the Forest of Feelings towards Earth...and towards the end of their quest.
Nicholas and The Spirit's P.O.V.-Random Circus, Manhattan, New York
Seems like the spell failed on killing Sabrina Spellman. Then again, I shouldn't have underestimated that brat friend of hers. Saving her more than once, and to think he'll just stand there in pain and let her die. Guess I have to kill them both, without breaking them, along with their two friends. Tch, kids these days and not wanting me to break them emotionally before killing them. Them's the breaks, I guess. The Spirit said in her thoughts, watching the moment.
"They're on their way." The Spirit told a sleeping Nicholas, who woke up flailing around for a moment.
"Here?" He asked.
"You'll be ready for them," The Spirit assured.
"How?" Nicholas asked, walking up to the cauldron.
"By completing your final spell!" The Spirit stated.
"Final spell?" Nicholas asked, nervous.
"Yes. You must gather the elements quickly. When those four children arrive, they must be all that is left of caring in this world." The Spirit told Nicholas.
"You don't mean..." Nicholas said, realizing The Spirit wants him to actually murder the kids.
"Yes! Everyone must be taught the lesson." The Spirit said with glee.
"But..." Nicholas began to protest.
"Don't you see, Nicholas? It's too late to stop now. You must finish what you started! There's no turning back!" The Spirit said while using magic to influence Nicholas to agree to do this, which wasn't hard, given how much he trusts her. The two laugh about how much fun this will be.
Meanwhile, coming from the Tunnel of Love, or as it was renamed, Tunnel of Hate-Everyone's P.O.V.
The cloudship appears out of it, with everyone, excluding Harvey for some reason, looking horrified at the place.
"A world without caring? This doesn't look like the Earth you talked about." Brave Heart Lion said.
"It looks like shit. Ugh, and smells like it too," Aaron groaned, as Sabrina patted his back. During the voyage, his ribs were finally mended, but they still felt like he got hit by an avalanche(sadly, that did happen).
Surprisingly, none of the Care Bears, nor the beings from the Forest of Feelings commented on him swearing. Aaron chalked it up to their surprise of how bad Manhattan got due to lack of caring.
However, just as Harvey was about to say something about it, either because of his own problem or because he believes that since they're back on Earth means he can stop pretending to be nice to Aaron, the cloudship stops at the docks, allowing Brave Heart and Tenderheart to jump onto said dock.
"We've got to stop it before it gets worse." Tenderheart said.
"I don't think this place can get any worse," Gentle Heart pointed out.
"Nicholas and the spirit must be around here somewhere. We've got to find them as quickly as possible. I suggest we split up." Tenderheart suggested.
"I agree, Tenderheart. The first ones to spot them, warn the others. Okay, let's go get them." Brave Heart said as everyone went to follow him.
"Jason, do you still have the key that I gave you?" Tenderheart asked, causing Jason, and Aaron to stop. Jason, because he was being asked, and Aaron, because he knew what was going on. Sabrina, and Kim were waiting for them while Harvey was somewhere.
Jason felt around his pockets before finding the key. "Sure do!" He confirmed, pulling out the key.
"Sure do. Good. Now, promise me you and Kim will stay as far away from Nicholas and The Spirit as you can. And you, Aaron. Promise me you and Sabrina will also stay as far away as you can." Tenderheart said to Jason and Aaron.
"But I wanna help." Jason said.
"Me too." Aaron said, which surprised him at first, since he never actually likes doing adventures like this. Mainly because he would be the odd one out, which would give more fire to the hate fuel Greendale seems to run on.
But, as Aaron slowly realized, he actually was enjoying this, despite the bumpy start and the whole being dead thing. And it was due to having friends by his side.
"You can help by guarding that key," Tenderheart told Jason, before turning towards Aaron. "And you need to guard Sabrina from The Spirit and Nicholas." He added.
Another thing during the voyage: Sabrina, with some reluctance, told the Care Bears about what happened in space, plus the tree trying to kill her, guessing that The Spirit is trying to kill her. She explained how Aaron saved her three times, though she described Aaron as a hero from Greek mythologies when it came to the tree.
"B-But..." Jason began to protest.
"If we lose that key, Jason, we can never win." Tenderheart said.
"That's why you're entrusting it to small kids you barely know. How does this make sense again? No offense, Jason," Aaron said.
"None taken." Jason told Aaron before turning back to Tenderheart. "I understand, Tenderheart. You can count on me." Jason said, before heading off to his sister.
"I still don't think this makes any sense. Trusting kids you barely know to save the world. I mean, do you see the consequences if the key is lost? Not saying Jason will lose it. Or you know, what if we can't handle the pressure?" Aaron said.
"Trust me on this one, Aaron. This is the best plan we have, not to mention the safest." Tenderheart said.
"...Fine. Even if this still doesn't make sense, when has anything in life made sense?" Aaron conceded. "Just know that you shouldn't underestimate us kids. We can be pretty terrifying if we want to." He added before running towards Sabrina, so that they could head off somewhere safe.
Glad that the children will be safe and far away from the range of Nicholas and The Spirit's spell, Tenderheart headed further into the circus, towards the others.
However, they all forgot Harvey, who ran into the circus. However, he was with all the jerks, eating 'free' food.
Meanwhile, Gentle Heart Lamb and Love-A-Lot Bear quietly made their way along The Great Fetuccini's trailer, only for Nicholas to kick open the door, laughing evilly. Luckily for the former two, they were on the side of the trailer, so Nicholas didn't see them.
However, as they were about to leave, Nicholas appeared on the other side of the trailer, looking through some trash. The two ducked under the trailer so that they won't be spotted by the young evil magician apprentice.
Nicholas then approached the trailer, scaring Gentle Heart Lamb and Love-A-Lot Bear for a moment. Not only because Nicholas has bags under his eyes, but also because it seems like for a moment, he had spotted them.
"Three apple cores. Just what I need." Nicholas said, as he swiped them off the trailer. However, one fell down under the trailer. He reached under and saw something.
"Aha!" He laughed as he reached under the trailer...and retrieved some spider's web.
"One spider's web." He laughed as he put the web in the bag. "My list is almost complete." Nicholas gloated as he walked past the trailer, not noticing Gentle Heart Lamb and Love-A-Lot Bear hanging off the side, having crawled out from under the trailer moments beforehand.
" A few more items, a few magic words, and presto, a world without love." Nicholas bragged as he ran off deeper into the circus.
"Love-A-Lot, did you hear that?" Gentle Heart asked.
"We have to get word to the others before it's too late." Love-A-Lot said.
Meanwhile, Nicholas was looking around the circus, trying to see what he was missing. "Let's see." He said, looking into the bag. "Apple cores, spider's web, milkweed pod..." He looked up only to hear some rattling.
He turned to see the sound came from the ball toss. He walked over there and leaned over the counter, laughing. However, all he saw was knocked down bottles and prizes. But his frown turned upside down once he noticed something different with the prizes.
"A cigar butt." Nicholas said, grabbing said object and putting it in the bag." I almost missed it. Now, one last thing to find."
Nicholas left, while two of the 'prizes' breathed out a sigh of relief, revealing themselves to be Secret Bear and Cozy Heart Penguin.
At the same time, Playful Heart Monkey and Friend Bear were running from some kids throwing rotten tomatoes at them.
"There they go." One of the boys said as he gave chase. The second one stops for a moment to kick over some heavy stuff.
Playful Heart Monkey and Friend Bear hid behind a pipe organ, just as the two kids ran past them.
"Phew. That was close." Playful Heart Monkey said, leaning on the pipe organ's lever. However, he accidentally turned it on, causing it to play music.
Surprised, the two attempted to run in two different directions, only to run into each other and fall flat on the ground.
Nicholas, however, heard the music and turned around, confused.
At the same time, everyone was running around. However, Kim, Jason, Sabrina and Aaron's luck finally ran out when they ran literally right into Nicholas.
"Oh, no! Run away! Hurry up! Look out! Run away! Get away! Oh, dear! Watch out!" The Care Bears and the Forest of Feelings creatures warned the four kids as they ran into a fun house, as Nicholas gave a cold smile while slowly following them inside.
"Run for cover
"Don't stop to look around
"Nothing to do
"But hide someplace where we cannot be found"
The four kids slowly made their way across a rope bridge, turning around to see Nicholas on the other side.
"Don't make a sound.
"Look out!
"Be careful.
"Here he comes!
"Whoa!" Kim and Jason exclaim as the rope bridge started to swing violently, due to Nicholas using magic against the kids. Aaron and Sabrina were too terrified to even use magic against him, which was the first time anything terrified them that badly.
However, the rope bridge soon stops, only so that Nicholas can savor the moment of fear the kids were having as he slowly approached them.
"Run away!" Kim told the others as they ran.
"Look out, he's after you
"You ought to take care, but take care where you go"
The kids started running down the stairs, only for it to turn into a slide by Swift Heart Rabbit and Bedtime Bear flipping a lever, which the kids slid down.
"It's a nightmare coming true
"The evil that's spreading is starting to grow
"Your friends are doing all they can do
"But what about you?
"How can we help this unfortunate soul?
"How can we stop him?
"He's out of control"
Swift Heart Rabbit and Bedtime Bear flipped the lever back up, causing the slide to turn back to stairs.
Poor Nicholas, having to feel the pain of each and every stair as he stumbled down them.
"Running and hiding to stay out of sight
"Running and hiding, it doesn't seem right"
The four kids went into a rolling thing, However, Nicholas cleared his thoughts and noticed the kids, who were trying to get away while stumbling and falling down.
"Look out!
"Watch out!
"Hurry, get away!
"Running and hiding and running again
"Running and running, oh, please make it end
"Isn't there some way to make him our friend?"
Champ Bear and Lotsa Heart Elephant grabbed some of the wires, stopping the rolling thing.
Nicholas started laughing until the rolling thing stopped. However, he lost valuable time he could've spent grabbing the kids to look at his hands, thinking his magic stopped the rolling thing.
As the kids exit the rolling thing, Nicholas realized his error and started going after them. However, Champ Bear and Lotsa Heart Elephant let go of the wires, causing the rolling thing to roll again, which Nicholas was stuck in.
"Merackme," Nicholas recited, causing the thing to stop. However, since he was on the top when it stopped, well, Nicholas was inducted into Gravity 101, screaming as he fell.
"The spirit's got a hold on Nicholas
"He's forgot about feelings and friends"
Nicholas ran out of the funhouse, looking around for the kids. However, all he saw was nothing but empty stalls.
"Look out, he's after you
"It's a nightmare coming true
"When will this bad dream end?"
Nicholas got sprayed by Cozy Heart Penguin. In retaliation, Nicholas shot a burst of red magic towards the purple penguin, who ducked under the water.
"He's not himself, he's turning mean
"He's been on a path of terrible wrath
"No kid's ever seen"
"Hey!" Swift Heart Rabbit shouted, distracting Nicholas from doing another spell at Cozy Heart by hopping past him.
"Friends are there to help you out
"Because they care and there's no doubt
"That if you're scared, they'll lend a hand
"Till you're prepared to make a stand"
Nicholas started firing off spells at Swift Heart, which the latter dodged by hopping. However, the four kids were terrified by Nicholas's wickedness.
"This power's wrong, but incredibly strong
"If only we could make him understand
"Look out, watch out!
"Look out! Look out!
"Look out! Watch out!"
Swift Heart continued dodging the blast of the spell, until she tripped on a trash can, getting stuck on the overturned trash can lid.
"What can you do if there's only two of you?
"What can you do if there's only two of you?
"What can you do if there's only two of you?"
Nicholas was preparing to blast Swift Heart Rabbit into oblivion, until he realized something was stuck to him. "Huh?" He asked, raising his shoe.
"Icky, sticky bubble gum! The last ingredient I need for my final spell." Nicholas gloated as he laughed, which allowed Swift Heart Rabbit enough time to get herself unstuck and hop away.
"Let them try and stop me now!" Nicholas shouted with glee as he ran back to the castle, laughing with glee.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the circus-Harvey's P.O.V.
"Stupid Aaron, pretending to die just so he can get Sabrina's pity. Not to mention the fact those Care Bears are starting to realize that I'm not as nice as I claim. Now, how do I get back at Aaron for embarrassing me?" Harvey asked, kicking an empty can around, ignoring the 'no littering' rules.
Suddenly, he noticed a bunch of delinquents in front of him. "Aha! I'll just get them to help me beat up Aaron." Harvey said.
"Yoohoo! I have an offer for you kids!" Harvey ran up to the group of kids.
"What is it, goody-two shoes?" One of them asked, annoyed about Harvey walking up to them.
"Easy. I want you to beat up another kid. His name is Aaron and he looks much more like a nice person than I am. He's running around with a blonde girl wearing pink and white. Don't beat her up, just bring her to me, so I can ask her to date me." Harvey said.
"Hmm, tempting offer. But I think we'll just beat you up." Another kid said.
"What? Why?" Harvey asked.
"One: you look like a nice person, and we don't like nice." The first kid said.
"Two: we don't take orders from anyone, ever." The second kid said.
"And three: you look like a Who from Whoville, and they look stupid." A third kid said.
Before Harvey can protest about all those points, he gets kicked in the back of the leg, causing him to fall onto the ground. After that, it was all downhill for him. He blames Aaron for this anyways, despite this being his fault in the first place.
Meanwhile, at a carousel-Everyone's P.O.V.
Swift Heart was panting heavily right next to Friend Bear.
"Swift Heart, are you all right?" Friend Bear asked with concern in her voice.
"It takes more than that to slow me down." Swift Heart replied.
"Where are Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina and Aaron?" Love-A-Lot Bear asked, worried for the four children and one teen.
"Maybe they're hiding and are too afraid to show themselves," Gentle Heart Lamb guessed.
"Okay, Brave Heart. You round up your friends and try to find Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina and Aaron." Tenderheart said, sliding down a pole. "Care Bears, follow me," he added to the Care Bears, heading off somewhere.
"What are you going to do, Tenderheart?" Cozy Heart Penguin asked.
"We have to try and get through to Nicholas." Tenderheart explained.
"And make him believe that we really do care about him" Share Bear added, sliding down the pole.
"And that he really cares about everyone else," Love-A-Lot Bear said.
"With a Care Bear Stare?" Cozy Heart Penguin asked.
"That's right, Cozy Heart," Wish Bear confirmed.
"I wish there was some way we could express our feelings like that." Gentle Heart Lamb said.
"There's always a way to let others share your feelings, Gentle Heart, always" Friend Bear assured.
"Let's go. We don't have much time," Brave Heart Lion said. The two parties split up, with the Care Bears going to confront Nicholas and The Spirit, while the Forest of Feelings creatures went off to find the four children and one teen.
Meanwhile-Grumpy Bear and Good Luck Bear's P.O.V.-Care-A-Lot, somewhere above Earth and upriver from the Forest of Feelings
The two were doing everything they could to fix the Rainbow Rescue Beam, while the storm outside gave them a lot of problems.
"I just need a little more time," Grumpy Bear said as Good Luck Bear handed him a wrench.
"That's the one thing we don't have," Good Luck Bear said, just as lightning struck outside, startling him.
He looked out of the huge window to see the Caring Meter falling down by some more points. "The Caring Meter has fallen to three. In no time, it'll fall to zero. And that's the end of Care-a-lot!" Good Luck Bear stated.
"We've got to get down there and help!" Grumpy Bear said, just as thunder struck and the ground started shaking, splitting apart in front of them. Luckily, Grumpy Bear and Good Luck Bear grabbed the tools before they fell down the crack in the ground.
However, that only reminds them of how little time they have left to fix the Rainbow Rescue Beam and get down to Earth.
They look at the Caring Meter, which bounces back and forth from three to four, hoping that the other Care Bears and the kids are safe.
"Sure hope Sabrina is listening to that advice and figures out who her true friends are," Good Luck Bear muttered to himself.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, at the random circus, Manhattan, New York-Everyone's P.O.V.
"Norkool, rassoul. Kadickeral, raz. Me Mow, billow. Zhejiang shong. Norkool, rassoul. Kadickeral, raz. Me Mow, billow. Zhejiang shong." Nicholas recited as The Spirit smirked at him, glad that she managed to turn him into an evil apprentice worthy of her efforts.
"Good. Now, the final ingredient." The Spirit said.
Nicholas held up his shoes, waiting for the gum to fall off it.
"Quickly!" The Spirit ordered, before realizing the problem. "Why are you stopping?"
"I-I-I...I don't want..." Nicholas began, attempting to break free from The Spirit's control. He didn't want to murder kids just so the world can feel his pain of being lonely, but then he'll be right back where he started: friendless. With those thoughts, Nicholas had tears in his eyes.
"You don't want to? You must! You can't care about anything!" The Spirit chided as Nicholas looked to his side to see Tenderheart standing there.
"No!" Tenderheart shouted, trying to get Nicholas to ignore The Spirit's words, but his attempts were failing quickly. At that moment, the other Care Bears arrived on a roller coaster that stopped right there, allowing them to get off to help out.
"You've gone too far! Too far to stop! You can't stop! You are beyond this!" The Spirit shouted, forcefully using magic to take control of Nicholas's body. However, that only ended up with the two fighting over whether or not to put the gum in the cauldron.
"Stop!" Tenderheart shouted, trying to stop the situation from getting worse. However, he unintentionally distracted Nicholas, who dropped the shoe from being shouted at, which allowed the gum to be in the cauldron.
The cauldron glowed a bright white, blasting Nicholas backwards as The Spirit laughed.
"Nicholas! Nicholas!" Tenderheart cried out with concern, rushing over to Nicholas, who covered his face with his cape.
"You're too late! Too late! The last spell is cast! Also, I have officially become a vampire! Not one of those sparkly ones, though. They totally suck ass," Nicholas claimed as he threw the Twilight book away, causing it to explode.
"...While that was a spectacular moment of evilness, Nicholas, how did you manage to blow up that book? It's almost as in touch in evil as I am." The Spirit confessed, dumbfounded about Nicholas's feat.
Nicholas just glanced at the ash pile formally known as Twilight and shrugged, giving no cares whatsoever of his actions. At the same time, an evil face appeared in the swirling storm that appeared out of the cauldron, snarling at everyone and everything.
"We care about everyone, even when they don't care about us." Tenderheart said, trying to get Nicholas to see reason.
"And right now, the one we care about most is you, Nicholas! You!" Friend Bear added, but Nicholas's expression didn't change.
"Care Bears, get ready. Care Bears, stare!" Tenderheart said as the Care Bears used the Care Bear Stare on Nicholas, which started to help him care again.
However, due to the amount of time he's been with The Spirit, plus all the negative thoughts and emotions he had gotten from working for the Great Fetuccini, it was gonna take some time. Time, The Spirit isn't willing to give them.
"You don't care! You don't care!" The Spirit ordered, using her magic to slap Nicholas out of the way from the Care Bear Stare. She then used the magic to put the Care Bears back on the roller coaster and sent it backwards, back to the front entrance.
The Spirit used her magic to even grab Tenderheart and Friend Bear and put them on the roller coaster, just to add insult to injury.
"Now for the very last four children." Nicholas said, fully under The Spirit's control as he laughed.
"What happened in there?" Lotsa Heart Elephant asked.
"The Care Bear Stare didn't work. The Spirit's power is too strong," Share Bear lamented, as the Care Bears were sad that they couldn't do much to help Nicholas.
"Brave Heart, where are Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina and Aaron?" Tenderheart asked, looking around.
"We can't find them anywhere." Braveheart Lion said.
"Uh oh. Look." Love-A-Lot Bear pointed at the entrance, where Nicholas and The Spirit were approaching on top of a roller coaster.
"Nicholas?" Cozy Heart Penguin asked.
The roller coaster stops at the entrance, showing how crazy Nicholas has become. His face was literally in an evil frown, his short hair was waving around in the air, and his eyes were deranged.
"Where are they?" Nicholas asked in a raspy voice.
"As long as Kim, Jason, Harvey, Sabrina and Aaron still care, his spell's not complete," Friend Bear said.
"You mean, you can still save him?" Bright Heart Raccoon asked.
"We can still save him," Tenderheart corrected.
"But how?" Gentle Heart Lamb asked.
"Just feel it!" Tenderheart told Gentler Heart before turning to face Nicholas.
"Care Bears?" Tenderheart asked as all the Care Bears stood by his side.
Suddenly, two small rainbows appeared, transporting Grumpy Bear and Good Luck Bear.
"Ha! Well, what do you know? The Rainbow Rescue Beam worked." Grumpy Bear said, happy that it worked.
"See? We just needed a little luck" Good Luck Bear added.
"Looks like we're gonna need more than that." Grumpy Bear pointed out, looking at the situation.
"Where are they? Where are you hiding the two boys and two girls?" Nicholas asked, getting controlled by The Spirit's influence the more the time goes on.
"You don't know what you're doing, Nicholas. Listen to your heart, and you'll find the truth." Tenderheart tried one last attempt to reason with Nicholas, but it failed.
"Where are they?!" Nicholas demanded.
"Care Bears stare!" Tenderheart shouted as the Care Bears used the Care Bear Stare on Nicholas. However, it has no effect on him, as he started laughing at their pitiful attempts.
"Too late. Too late," The Spirit mocked the Care Bears, laughing as well.
"Tenderheart's right. We can do it, but we have to do it together." Brave Heart Lion said.
"Do what?" Cozy Heart Penguin asked.
"Okay, everybody. Uh, uh, everybody, uh..." Brave Heart Lion try to figure out what exactly can they do to help the Care Bears.
Lotsa Heart Elephant got an idea and let out a trumpet.
"That's it! Everybody call!" Brave Heart Lion said as the Forest of Feelings creatures started making animal noises, which was slightly helping the Care Bear Stare, given Nicholas started to lose the evil look.
"No! Nicholas!" The Spirit shouted, before muttering a counter-curse that began repelling the Care Bears and the Forest of Feelings creature's attempts to stop her.
The two groups of creatures stop, not only due to The Spirit's counter-curse, but also because they were exhausted.
To make matters worse, everyone heard, "Okay, guys, that's not helping. I mean, maybe get a-I don't know, a gun or some kind of blunt object or uhh..Yeah, this is totally useless," coming from behind them.
Things became much more dire when Sabrina and Aaron walked out from behind some stalls, the latter holding up a 'Mega Fail' sign as a joke, as they walked on the bridge, much to the Care Bears and the Forest of Feeling creatures' horror.
However, the two kids' faces turn from mild annoyance to abject horror as they realize what they have done. Nicholas's laughing and spiraling eyes doesn't make things any easier.
Right at that moment, Kim and Jason also came by, standing next to Aaron and Sabrina.
"Kim! Jason! Sabrina! Aaron! No!" Tenderheart cried out, trying to get the kids to leave.
"It's them!" The Spirit shouted to Nicholas, whose eyes began to spiral black and white.
"S-Sabreeny, he's turning into Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Aaron said, not even trying to joke.
"Please, don't do the line." Sabrina pleaded under her breath.
"When I killed your mother, I talked...JUST...LIKE...THIIIIS!" Nicholas, being controlled by The Spirit, shouted, blasting the kids backwards with magic.
"Ow, that smarts." Aaron said, rubbing his head. "Wait a minute? Sabrina, Kim, Jason, are you alright?" Aaron asked.
"We're okay." Jason said as he and Kim stood up.
"Sabreeny? Sa-" Aaron's question died in his mouth when he saw Sabrina still on the ground.
It's not the fact that she was still on the ground. No, it's the fact she was curled up in a ball, sobbing her eyes out!
"Sabreeny!" Aaron ran over to her and knelt down. He heard her words in between sobs. What he caught was apologies to people, that she can't handle it, and why does her life have to be crappy.
"Sabreeny," Aaron said with concern, as Kim and Jason ran over in concern for Sabrina as well. However, they, along with the Care Bears and the Forest of Feelings critters, all heard The Spirit began to laugh like a lunatic.
"I finally did it! I have broken Sabrina Spellman! And it's all thanks to you, Aaron!" The Spirit shouted with glee.
"W-What do you mean?" Aaron asked.
"Oh, I could go into details. But this wouldn't have happened without some help of course." The Spirit pointed out.
"Help? What do you m-" Once again, Aaron's question died in his mouth. This time, it was because he knew what The Spirit was meaning.
Thanking him for helping break Sabrina, the very words Nicholas used before blasting them with magic...everything that happened to Sabrina in the past couple of months.
Aaron looked down at his hands, his eyes shaking with regret. Right now, he has been a cause of Sabrina's pain. He had gotten mad at her whenever she tried to help someone or herself.
He had used her to get back at Salem. Hell, he even raised her hopes of reuniting with her mother, only for it to be shattered.
And what had he offered in their friendship the past months so far? Nothing but scorn and dropping a bombshell of his flaw.
If there's a chance for me to be liked, I'll take it. No matter the consequences.
Except this time, there is a consequence to his actions: Sabrina's pain. Aaron looked around him to see that the Care Bears and the Forest of Feeling critters were staring at him with unease...and caution.
Aaron doesn't blame them. After all, The Spirit was right on one thing: he had, in a way, helped her do this to Sabrina.
"Come on and join me, Aaron! Together, you, me and Nicholas can show everyone the pain of being lonely and hated. After all, no one else knows what it's like to feel lonely and hated." The Spirit offered.
Aaron still stared at his hands, until he slowly brought his gaze to Sabrina's sobbing form. The Spirit is wrong.
He's not the only one who knows what it's like to be hated. Sabrina knows what it's like, apparently. And she's got it much worse than Aaron, given the past month.
In a gesture that shocked everyone, Aaron wrapped his arms around Sabrina in a hug and pulled her close. Even Sabrina was surprised.
"A-Aaron, w-wh-" was all she managed to get out in between shaky breaths and her sobs.
"Sabreeny, you are, and have always been, the greatest friend anyone ever had. Despite everything that happens, you still try to bring out the best in others, and it works for those who needs it. It worked for Kim and Jason, it worked for Pi, and it worked for me. I just needed to finally see the truth." Aaron said, comforting her.
"You have lost so much, given up everything, and expect so little. This whole time, I should've been trying to help you, not get Greendale to like me." Aaron continued.
"But-" Sabrina protested.
"Sabreeny, I'm fine with their hate at this point. They don't want to know me, that's their loss. I should've been fine with the friends I do have instead. And right now, I want to help you just as you help me over the years." Aaron said.
"Aaron, are you sure you can handle their hate? I mean, that's a lot of hate to handle, even if you're accepting they won't like you." Sabrina said, her eyes were drying.
"Yes, Sabrina, I can handle it. And it's because I'll be fine knowing that I have you as a friend, a friend who cares about me as much as I care about you," Aaron said, helping Sabrina up.
"Plus, I have a lot to make up for tricking you into getting Alvin. So, from now on, I got your back," Aaron promised.
Sabrina looked shocked for a moment before smiling with some tears coming down her face. "And I got yours," she assured, pulling him into a hug. She even pulled Kim and Jason into a group hug, with the four of them laughing, much to the joy and relief of the Care Bears and the Forest of Feeling critters.
"NO!" The Spirit shrieked, which got everyone to turn towards her and Nicholas, who was silent until The Spirit's shout. "THIS IS NOT HOW MY VICTORY BEGINS! I WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN!"
"Sorry, lady, but that's how reality works. Your plans never work out well," Sabrina said.
"SILENCE, WORM! I CAN STILL KILL ALL OF YOU!" The Spirit shrieked as she fired some spell from her eyes towards the four kids.
However, the spell bounced off them, shocking everyone.
"What happened?" Kim asked.
"I-If I have to guess, we just got saved by the power of friendship and caring," Aaron guessed.
"If this ever gets out, bronies will never let us hear the end of this." Sabrina said.
"Yeah, that's kinda overrated." Jason said.
"Yeah. Who wants to help Nicholas get some friends by being in our friend group?" Aaron said.
"Yeah, let's do it." Sabrina, Kim and Jason all agreed, which made everyone happy.
Aaron was glad due to realizing this was what he needed to do to earn Sabrina's forgiveness, plus changing who he is as a person. Also gaining a couple of new friends
Sabrina was glad that she had finally forgiven Aaron, that they were able to patch up their friendship that Salem nearly destroyed. Also, she was glad that Kim and Jason had accepted Aaron as a friend.
And Kim and Jason were glad that they have friends who are willing to be there for them, regardless of losing their lives. That'll be handy just in case they ended up in Hades.
"Nicholas! We care about you. We used to be like you. We thought nobody cared." Jason said, causing Nicholas to slowly break free from The Spirit's control.
"But we were wrong. Now we want to be your friends, Nicholas, and make sure you're never alone again. Believe us, Nicholas, believe us." Kim pleaded.
"Trust us, some of us know that feeling. Me? I was hated by an entire town and thought no one could understand. Well, I found out recently that I'm not alone," Aaron said, smiling at Kim, Jason and Sabrina. "And you shouldn't be either. Take the risk in friendship and you'll like the results." Aaron.
"Heck, I thought I was the only one who felt their soul being crushed when my mom died. But, as this whole adventure reminded me, I'm not alone either. And if you want, you can be a part of our friend group, Nicholas." Sabrina said.
"Ugh, I think I'm gonna hurl from too many positive emotions," The Spirit groaned.
"I-I-I believe you." Nicholas said, breaking free from The Spirit's controls.
"No, you can't! Don't do it!" The Spirit pleaded with Nicholas, who started to close the book with difficulty.
"Stop. You don't care! They don't care!" The Spirit attempted to control Nicholas again, but it was failing as he pushed the book close.
"Stop! Please, don't close me!" The Spirit said, just as Nicholas closed the book and his appearance became healthy again.
However, he is currently trying to keep the book close, which Aaron, Sabrina and Tenderheart ran to help Nicholas keep the book close.
"Jason, the key! The key!" Tenderheart said as Jason dug around his pockets.
"I-I-I can't hold it much longer!" Nicholas said, as the book was pushing against the four.
As a last ditch effort, The Spirit talked to Sabrina. "You know, that boy will never love you! If you help me, I can help you get that boy's affection." The Spirit said.
"Shut the hell up, you shrieking banshee from the Black Lagoon! You can't trick me or my friends, so go away!" Sabrina told The Spirit with a harsh tone.
Jason, at that moment, pulled out the key. However, The Spirit shot some magic from the keyhole, causing it to vanish into thin air.
"Oh no!" Jason said, realizing that their secret weapon that he had been told not to lose is gone.
"Hold on, Nicholas." Tenderheart said, though he was starting to lose his hold on the book as well.
Luckily for everyone, Secret Bear ran up to Jason and made a second key from her Belly Badge.
Jason sputtered for a moment before realizing what just happened, while using the key on the book.
"Hey! What the heck? So the key we were building up as the big secret weapon can be duplicated whenever you guys wanted? What, did you all wanted to make me feel important?" Jason asked.
"Well, yeah, we can duplicate it anytime. As for wanting to make you feel important, well, that's up to you." Tenderheart said.
"...Wow, the whole world hangs on that answer." Aaron said, just as everyone else started celebrating.
"Thank you." Nicholas thanked the four kids, as the five of them, Secret Bear and Tenderheart all walked over to the others. Nicholas tossed aside his cape, not wanting to be reminded of what just happened.
Sometime later
Sabrina and Aaron were watching as the Care Bears and the Forest of Feeling critters were exchanging goodbyes with Kim, Jason and Nicholas while heading towards the cloudship, when Sabrina heard a "Psst."
She turned around to see Good Luck Bear, wanting to talk to her.
"Hey, Aaron, I'll be back in a moment." Sabrina said.
"Okay. I think I have some farewells to say as well," Aaron said.
Sabrina nodded before walking over to Good Luck Bear.
"So, what is it this time?" Sabrina asked.
"I want to say sorry, for what I said back in Care-A-Lot." Good Luck Bear said.
"W-W-What?" Sabrina asked, not expecting an apology.
"I told you that if you continue being around Aaron, we wouldn't help you or him, nor stop you both. But, he showed us that he wasn't the dark presence we had been seen when you all arrived at Care-A-Lot." Good Luck Bear said.
"Then who...was? Oh gods, he planned it, knowing you all would think it's Aaron, did he?" Sabrina said, realizing who did it.
"Yeah. And from what I see, you're starting to distance yourself from him. You and Aaron. So, in a way, we helped you without realizing, though I wish we can do much to help out more," Good Luck Bear said.
"Well, while I was mad about what you said, my life is like luck. If I want it to be good, I have to influence it. Plus, you did help out more. All of you," Sabrina said, gesturing to Aaron.
"How so?" Good Luck Bear said.
"Something changed him on this adventure. It started with me chewing him out for something that happened between us, but going on this adventure to help you guys had sped up that change." Sabrina admitted, though she didn't want to.
"Well, glad to help with that. But can we help you?" Good Luck Bear asked.
This time, Sabrina didn't think hard about her answer. "No thanks. You helped us enough. Hope you have a good life," Sabrina said, before walking back towards Aaron, who got done with a discussion with Tenderheart, who walked towards the cloudship with Good Luck Bear.
"So, what did you two talk about?" Sabrina asked.
"I'll tell you later," Aaron promised.
"Okay, but you better keep that promise," Sabrina said with a grin, elbowing Aaron in the arm.
Sometime later, random hill
"I guess Care-a-lot is safe and sound again." Kim said, as the four kids and Nicholas, who is 13(the same age as Harvey, but no one held that against him), looked up at the sun.
"And as long as Care-a-lot is safe, so is the world below it." Jason added.
"Plus, we can enjoy the sunshine, the sounds of nature," Sabrina said.
"The joys of peace and the pros and cons of friendship," Aaron said as everyone laughed at that.
"Mr. Fetuccini! I almost forgot. He's still under that sleeping spell." Nicholas said, running over to the trailer as the others followed him.
Mr. Fetuccini opened the door, stopping them in their tracks. "It's showtime!" Mr. Fetuccini declared.
"M-Mr. Fetuccini! I'm sorry." Nicholas apologized, given he caused everything to go to Hades due to listening to an evil book.
"Nicholas, I just had the most wonderful dream. I dreamed I changed my poster, so that's what I'm going to do." Mr. Fetuccini said, leading Nicholas to the side of the trailer. "Now it'll read: Fetuccini and Nicholas. So what do you say, huh? A partnership," Mr. Fetuccini said.
"A part- A part..." Nicholas stammered, surprised by what's happening.
"Oh, alright. Nicholas and Fetuccini." Mr. Fetuccini said, taking Nicholas's shock as wanting his name to be first on the poster.
"Oh, thank you so much. You won't be disappointed, I promise. I can't believe this. I owe it all to Care Bears and..." Nicholas began, looking at the four kids, who gave Nicholas their support.
"To who?" Mr. Fetuccini asked, confused.
"Yeah, uh, they're, um, friends, Mr. Fetuccini. Just friends. Like these four. Meet Kim, Jason, Sabrina and Aaron." Nicholas said.
"Friends! That's what it's all about, Nicholas, my boy. That's what it's all about." Mr. Fetuccini said as he and Nicholas went inside the trailer, while the kids told Nicholas they'll see him later and headed off towards somewhere.
At the same time, Nicholas had a black tuxedo and top hat on as Mr. Fetuccini was teaching him some magic tricks, which Nicholas attempted to do but accidentally unleash a horde of cards. However, rather than getting mad, Mr. Fetuccini laughed it off and helped Nicholas pick up the cards.
Meanwhile, at Central Park-Aaron's P.O.V.
"Well, see you later, Sabrina and Aaron." Kim and Jason said as they made their way towards the orphanage, where their soon-to-be foster parents were waiting.
"See you later, Kim and Jason!" Sabrina and I said, waving to them.
"So, what were you and Tenderheart talking about?" Sabrina asked me as we started heading back to the hotel.
"I'll tell you if you answer my question first," I say.
"Fire away," Sabrina said.
"Why do I get the feeling you have something to do with Kim and Jason's soon-to-be parents still waiting at the orphanage? I mean, I don't know how much time has passed, but I'm pretty sure it's longer than a usual wait." I speculated.
"Well, maybe I did. And maybe an orange French cat who has been perfecting their French accent walked into a phone booth at the same time a certain magical blonde girl would be using the ladies room and call random numbers until they got the right couple and tell them that Kim and Jason were running late, helping some friends out." Sabrina said slyly.
"Wow," I said in wonder.
"Now your turn," Sabrina said.
"Well, he said he and the Care Bears and those from the Forest of Feelings, who, I think he said will be known as the Care Bears Cousins or something, will watch over us, at least making sure that something like this won't happen again." I say.
"Is that all he said?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, no. But, well, it's kinda hard to explain." I say.
"Hey, you don't have to tell me if it's hard. Just know whatever happens, whenever you want to talk about it, I'll support you," Sabrina said.
"And I'll support you." I said, before remembering one last thing.
"Oh yeah!" I pulled out a board from my pockets.
"What's this?" Sabrina asked.
"A dream board. Tenderheart said that once we figure out our dreams, we could write them down here. That way, not only do we know each other's hopes and dreams, but we can help make them come true." I said.
"Aaron, are you sure this might work?" Sabrina asked with caution.
"Well, we won't know till we try, which we would, once we have dreams to work for." I reasoned.
"Touche," Sabrina conceded just as some bush rustled near us.
Sabrina and I grab some branches off the ground to use as weapons, wondering what is making the bushes rustle.
Kidnappers? Serial killers? Muggers?(Sadly, they will steal things, regardless of mugs. Thanks, mom. Not.)
What came out was...the Swamp Thing.
"Oh my god, the Swamp Thing is gonna molest us!" I exclaimed.
Hey, don't look at me like that. After everything that happened, the Swamp Thing is that last thing I think we wanted to encounter right now.
"Stop right there, Swamp Thing molester!" A random police officer, sounding like Ian from Smosh, suddenly appears. "Wait, what did I just say?" He asked, confused.
"You just said, 'Stop right there, Swamp Thing molester'," Sabrina said, a bit disturbed.
"Wait, it's me guys. Harvey Kinkles," the Swamp Thing said.
"Oh my god, he merged with Harvey!" I said, horrified.
"You're under arrest, you no-good, dirty criminal!" The police officer said, arresting the Swamp Thing.
"No, I really am Harvey! Please, no!" The Swamp Thing exclaimed as he got thrown into the squad car.
"I'll take him to prison! Hopefully, I'll get a promotion," the police officer said, driving off.
"...Sabreeny, why did the Swamp Thing sound like Harvey? And when was there a police officer in the area?" I asked.
"That's because the Swamp Thing is Harvey, just covered in mud and stuff. As for the police officer, well, while they'll be upset that they didn't catch a molester, they'll at least send Harvey to Greendale Police Department for running away and causing a nation-wide panic." Sabrina said.
"Sabreeny, promise me this." I said.
"Yes?" She asked innocently.
"Remind me to never get on your bad side again," I said.
"Deal. Besides, a certain cat has some lessons that need to be burned into him," Sabrina threatened as we walked.
"By the way. I just now thought about this. How old are Kim and Jason?" I asked.
"Hmm. Kim is 9, but she turns 10 on Sunday. And Jason is six, but he turns 7 on the day we have that evaluation," Sabrina said.
"...Jason is half our age, and yet he's just as smart as we are." I commented as my mind blew up much worse than those nuclear bombs during WWII.
"Yep. That's why I became friends with him and Kim. Besides the whole 'losing parents' thing," Sabrina explained with a smile.
A smile, I realized, is the first true smile since...October, before I went on that trip to Hawaii, only to get sent to a 'peace community'.
"Yeah. That's how friendship works. Friends help friends, no matter what," I said with a smile, feeling glad about the whole thing.
"By the way, before we tell your parents and my aunts about this, I think we shouldn't tell them a couple of things," Sabrina said.
"Like what?" I asked.
"Well, for starters, the fact you died. I mean, just imagine how they would feel," Sabrina said.
"Touche." I said, thinking about it. "And the second thing?" I asked.
"We shouldn't tell them that you can do those magic circles. I mean, what if those are a rare thing and we jinx ourselves by talking about them? Then when we need them, those circles might not work." Sabrina said.
"Yeah, you're right. Okay, deal." I agreed.
"Good, now let's go tell them." Sabrina said.
Meanwhile-Everyone's P.O.V.-Care-A-Lot
The Care Bears, and Care Bear Cousins, were sitting around a large, heart-shaped table, preparing for a celebration.
"Our friends from the Forest of Feelings have proven to everyone that there's always a way to show that you care." Tenderheart said.
At that moment, Hugs and Tugs, sitting on Brave Heart's lap, pulled on a party popper, causing it to burst open. It unleashed confetti, streamers, and a party hat, the last object stuck on Brave Heart's nose.
"And so the purpose of this festive occasion is to let all bear witness to the inauguration of our friends into the Care Bear family." Tenderheart continued, as music began playing.
Tenderheart, bopping to the music, dances to the top of a stairway, right under the crystal for the Rainbow Rescue Beam. All of the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins started bopping to the music as well. Tenderheart danced all the way to the middle of the table.
"Now all you Care Bear cousins come and gather next to me
"We're standing here together just as proud as we can be"
The Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins got up, stood in front of the table on either side of Tenderheart, who was in the dance so that he was in front of the stairs and turned around to face everyone.
"We save the world for caring folks like you and you and me
"And when we care together you become a family."
Tenderheart grabbed his Belly Badge, which became a heart, and threw it, giving the Care Bear Cousins their Belly Badge.
"And it's great to be
"In that Care Bear family
"(In that Care Bear family)
"And I'm proud to see
"That you're standing here with me
"(That you're standing here with me)" Everyone sang as the heart returned back to Tenderheart's belly, becoming his Belly Badge again.
"When a job that we've have done,
"There was a part for everyone
"So let's give our brand new family a cheer (Yea!)" Everyone shouted as they went up the ramp towards the second floor.
"And it makes me wanna shout (Yea!)" Secret Bear shouted, which startled everyone in front of her, causing them to fall like dominoes
"I can get my feelings out
"When a friend is right there to lend an ear.
"And it's great to be in that Care Bear family
"(In that Care Bear family)" Everyone sang as they ran around in joy.
"Yes it's great to be
"in that Care Bear family
"(In that Care Bear family)" Everyone sang as the lyrics appeared, with a heart bouncing on said lyrics.
"Yes it's great to be
"in that Care Bear family
"(In that Care Bear family)
"And I'm proud to be proud to see
"That your standing next to me
"(That you're standing here with me)" Everyone sang, clapping along to the rhythm.
"Yes it's great to be
"in that Care Bear family
"(In that Care Bear family)" Everyone sang as Grumpy Bear went off to the side so he could dance without anyone commenting, as some stars carried him off to somewhere.
Meanwhile, back on Earth-Aaron's P.O.V.
"And that's what happened." I said, as Sabrina and I finished explaining everything to my parents and Zelda.
Like we agreed, we didn't mention my death, nor the magic circles.
"Well, can someone point me to the nearest store?" Zelda said after a moment.
"How come, Aunt Zelda?" Sabrina asked.
"Because I need to get Hilda an apology card. The one time she's right, and I didn't listen. And what's worse, The Spirit tried to kill you two just for what happened back then." Zelda said, her fingers interlocked.
"Well, that explains where you two, Kim and Jason have been for the past two days." My dad said.
"T-Two days? But, isn't it Wednesday?" I asked.
"Aaron, it's Friday. You, Sabrina, Kim and Jason have been gone for two days. Also, Jake, this proves that Aaron wasn't involved with Greek mythology!" My mom bragged.
"Yes, Mary, I know." My dad said with a roll of his eyes.
"Wait, what?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, it went like this," Zelda said.
Flashback-Wednesday, Mount Olympus, 600th Floor of the Empire State Building-Jake, Mary and Zelda's P.O.V.
"Give us back Aaron, Sabrina and Sabrina's friends, right now! Or e-" was all Jake managed to say before Zeus threw a lightning bolt at him, Mary and Zelda.
Present time-Aaron's P.O.V.
"That explains the 'I put my hand in an electric socket' hairdo." I said.
"No matter. At least you two are safe. And your friends too." My dad said, as he and my mom hugged me.
"Did Quigley mention anything?" Sabrina asked.
Zelda's silence was Sabrina's answer, given her brief sad look. "No matter, at least I have you. And Hilda, sometimes." Sabrina said, hugging Zelda.
Right at that moment, Hilda kicked open the door.
"Guys, The Spirit is back! We need to fight her!" Hilda shouted.
"Uh, Sabrina, me, Kim and Jason already dealt with that." I said.
"W-What?" Hilda asked, slightly deflating.
"Yeah. Now, if you excuse me, I have a cat to handle." Sabrina said.
"Here, a flamethrower. Just in case." I said, handing Sabrina a flamethrower.
"Why would yo-" Sabrina began.
"Just in case I needed it." I said simply.
"Not gonna ask." Sabrina said, heading off.
"So, what happened?" Hilda asked.
"I'm just gonna get some rest." I said, leaving my parents and Zelda to explain what happened.
Sabrina's P.O.V.
Sabrina walked into her hotel room to see Salem laying there, watching T.V.
"Hey, Salem. How was your time, not missing me?" Sabrina asked.
"Sabrina! Um, how was your time in Central Park with your friends?" Salem asked, not even realizing that he slipped up.
"Oh, it was great. But you would know, wouldn't you? Getting Harvey to steal Aaron's iPod so he can sell it to you, just so you can try and get me mad at Aaron for calling me." Sabrina said.
"Sabrina, are you listening to yourself? You're defending Aaron, who emotionally manipulated you to get a dog." Salem said.
"At least Aaron had earned my forgiveness by being there for me, Kim and Jason. Unlike you, who emotionally manipulated me more than once! And for what? Just because Aaron did something you didn't do first?" Sabrina snaps at Salem.
"Come on. How are you sure he changed? He hasn't changed in six years, and he sure hasn't changed in two days!" Salem countered.
At that moment, Sabrina pulled out the flamethrower and aimed it at Salem's face. "You want to know how he changed? He died, Salem! Aaron died to save me, thinking I hated him, all because of you! I brought him back, but still!
"He actually comforted me when he could have chosen something that would've benefited him. That says a lot more than what you would do, leaving me to die like what you did to Amelia Earhart, George Washington and John Lafitte" Sabrina yelled.
"So, unless you have something nice to say, shut the fuck up for once and think of someone other than yourself! You wonder why you don't have friends? It's because of who you are, the fact you won't change and the fact you care for no one except for yourself! So, change yourself or you'll lose the only person who actually gives a care about you!" Sabrina yelled, storming off.
He's not even worth it for this, Sabrina glanced down at the flamethrower. It won't make him learn anything, anyways.
Everyone's P.O.V.-Random circus, later that day
The four kids, and their families, were sitting in a circus tent, enjoying Nicholas's magic tricks.
"And now, The Amazing Nicholas will pull a dove out of his hat." Nicholas said, accidentally pulling out a deck of cards. However, he folded the cards into one while closing his fist. When he opened it, a dove magically appeared, as everyone cheered. Though no one cheered as loud as Sabrina, Aaron, Kim and Jason.
"That's my boy. Bravo, Nicky!" Mr. Fetuccini said from backstage, applauding Nicholas, who smiled at the praise.
"Hey, Jason, aren't parents great?" Kim asked.
"Yeah." Jason agreed as their foster parents smiled down at them.
Montage-Next two days
Over the next two days, the last two days of their trip in Manhattan, Aaron and Sabrina spent as much time as they could with Kim, Jason and Nicholas.
Multiple photos appear, showing them on various rides, enjoying drinks and overall, having a great time being friends.
On Sunday, they celebrated Kim's 9th birthday with cakes, presents and exchanging contact information. While the news of Aaron and Sabrina leaving for Greendale the next day was sad, they decided to not let it ruin a perfectly good day.
And after the sun began to set, the five friends exchanged their farewells, sad that they weren't going to see each other that much due to the distance, but at least they could call and text each other.
Sunday night-Aaron's P.O.V.
Everything was packed(even some free hotel soap, bathrobe and not-so-free snacks from the mini-fridge) for the return trip. At least we managed to celebrate Kim's birthday. Hard to think on Wednesday, she, Jason and Sabrina were so miserable and now they were so happy.
I decided to head up to the rooftop so that I could look up at the stars. However, what surprised me was Sabrina being up there too.
"Wanted to look at the stars too." Sabrina said. Not a question, but a statement.
"Yeah." I said, sitting down next to her.
"Sometimes, this is like therapy. I feel like my mother is up in the stars, and this is how we would be reunited: daughter looking up at the mom stars." Sabrina said.
"Yeah. I could imagine that," I said with a smile.
"Thanks for that. Most people, mainly that stupid therapist, claims it's stupid." Sabrina said, as she leaned on my shoulder in a friendly way.
"So, wanna hear the other thing Tenderheart talk to me about? Not the thing I'm still not sure how to explain." I said.
"Sure," Sabrina said, still looking at the stars.
"He offered me a way for Greendale to like me. He, and the other Care Bears, could use the Care Bear Stare, to convince the town to have positive emotions towards me." I said.
"And? What do you say?" Sabrina asked.
"What do you think I say? I meant it when I say I accept the town's hatred towards me. Plus, even if I went along with it, you would be their prime target. After all, from what Nice Gem said, the mayor is backed by the Stone family. If no one hates me, Gem would target you, and I don't want that." I say.
"Aaron, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. You're sure you don't regret throwing it aside?" Sabrina asked.
"The old me would've. Right now, I'm fine with it." I say.
"Glad that you have changed for the good, then. While we're on the subjects of Care Bears, I was wondering, maybe we shouldn't talk about them? At least, not until we're ready." Sabrina said.
"How come?" I asked.
"Aaron, we barely survived this whole encounter. You were dead for a rough estimate of a day, from what we're told. I'm worried...if we ever talk about them, or even use the words that bring them to us, like what you brought up, well..." Sabrina trailed off for a moment to collect her thoughts.
"What if we're asked to help them with another threat, one stronger than that spirit? We barely won against her with our current skills! Imagine that threat. We'll be dead quickly if we don't train our magic, become stronger, faster, smarter." Sabrina said.
"Okay, I get where you're going at." I say, thinking of all the possible outcomes right now. They do not involve us winning. "Is there another reason?"
"Well, if we talk about them back in Greendale, everyone will think we're crazy. Well, more crazy than usual." Sabrina clarified.
"Yeesh. We can't win right now with this, can we?" I asked.
"Nope. This is our best option," Sabrina said.
"Okay, we won't talk about them. Unless we're capable, or we have to." I said.
"Agreed." Sabrina said.
We sat there in silence for a moment.
"So, what was that song you mentioned hearing?" I asked.
"Oh gods, I forgot to show you." Sabrina said, pulling out a piece of paper from her pockets and unfolding it. On the paper were lyrics.
"This song is shit, by the way. I mean, listen to some of these lyrics," Sabrina said, before clearing her throat. She then started singing, though she sounded like she was gonna pass out from singing it.
"Care-a-lot is a place we all can go
"Whenever we choose it
"Care-a-lot is a feeling we all know
"We never do lose it
"We can find a secret place
"To rest and make a new start
"If you don't know where it is
"Look inside your heart
"Care-a-lot is a playground you can't find
"For laughing and swinging
"Carousels playing music in your mind
"For dancing and singing
"Sometimes you feel so glad
"Sometimes you feel so blue
"Share your feelings, it's not bad
"Feelings are just you" Sabrina sang, before snoring.
"Sabreeny?" I asked, before looking down at her and sighing. "Can't blame you. This song does sound boring, does it." I said, before singing the rest of it in a bored tone.
"When you're lonely, don't you fret
"You're not alone, you just tend to forget
"Care-a-lot is easily found
"You've been there and you have friends who care
"Don't you let your sadness get you down
"It always helps when you sing a song
"Good cheer carries you along
"Darkness leads to sunlight
"A new day comes-it's all right
"Care-a-lot is a place you'd like to be
"Riding on a cloud
"You'll care a lot, it's a rainbow fantasy
"For laughing out loud
"Care-a-lot is a place we all can go
"Come to Care-a-lot, it's a place we all can go
"Come to Care-a-lot
"Share-a-lot
"Care-a-lot" I finished, carrying Sabrina in my arms and carrying her off the roof. Before going down, I look up at the sky, no doubt possibly looking straight at Care-A-Lot.
"Thank you, for helping me. Even if some of you do annoy me at times," I whisper/prayed, I don't know, as I head down with Sabrina. One day, I'll tell her the thing that was hard to explain, but now wasn't the time.
Everyone's P.O.V.-Cherrywoods' House/Orphanage-2060
"And so Kim and Jason found the parents they wanted so very much and lived happily ever after." Mr. Cherrywood concluded, though the children were all asleep at that point.
"And a fine story that was, Mr. Cherrywood." Mrs. Cherrywood said.
"My favorite, Mrs. Cherrywood. But they never stay awake long enough for the end." Mr. Cherrywood said, handing the sleeping toddler to Mrs. Cherrywood, who tucked said toddler in bed.
Mr. Cherrywood let out a yawn as he took off his story hat. "Now they'll never know what eventually became of Nicholas. I guess all they need to know is that he, too, lived happily ever after. Happier than I ever thought I could be." He said, holding hands with Mrs. Cherrywood.
"Nicholas, these children should have been in bed ages ago. What am I ever going to do with you?" Mrs. Cherrywood, AKA Kim, said as Nicholas helped carry the kids back to their beds.
"Care for me, Mrs. Cherrywood. Just care for me." Nicholas said as Kim smiled while carrying the kids off to bed.
Tenderheart, who hadn't aged once, laughed before disappearing in a cloud of glitters. He drove back to Care-A-Lot in the cloudcar. Soon, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins waved in front of a giant heart.
However, they were unaware of two people who spotted the direction of the cloudcar.
?: Now can I get those bears?
?: Don't drag me with you.
?: YES!*Teleports to Care-a-lot
?: In the meantime, *Holding a bloodied Chakram in hand* I have business to attend to. *Walks away.*
The end of The Care Bears Movie Arc
(A/N: Disclaimer: Well, we're at the end of this arc. And time to point some of the story plots that affect the plot you might have missed. First of all, before I do that, I like to apologize for what happened in the first part. Yeah, we may not like the Care Bears, but that doesn't mean we should make them out of character. That makes us like other authors who claim they're fixing the problems by changing the characters, but ended up making things worse. So, we fix the mistake by making them back in character. Sure, the Care Bears do mean well, but the way they come across can be a bit skewed at best.
Second, you're wondering about why we make Harvey a minor villain, and why we hate him. That's easy: watch every Harvey episode for Sabrina The Animated Series. They follow the same plot: Harvey is good at something and gets cocky, something happens that cause his ego to break, Sabrina tries telling him the truth to get him to be better, but he gets mad at her and tries to find an easy way to get better, Sabrina use magic to help him, Harvey becomes a much bigger butthole, and when Sabrina is getting her so-call just desserts for helping a friend out, that's when Harvey decides to listen to her. This not only happens every time, but we're supposed to side with Harvey but not Sabrina? More importantly, we're supposed to support the ship between Harvey and Sabrina?
Third, you're wondering how did Aaron change from the whole adventure? Easy. As we stated, he started to care for others besides himself. But the last piece that hammered the nail in the coffin was when confronted with his flaw, he realize that he's exactly like Harvey from said Harvey episodes, tossins Sabrina aside without a second glance. He didn't want to be that person anymore, so that's why he changed.(Also, his character arc is inspired by Apollo's character development from The Trials of Apollo. Read it to find out what I mean.)
Fourth, Aaron's Dive to the Heart. Yes, this confirms that Aaron is a Keyblade wielder, which is more confirmed in the next story. However, that doesn't mean Aaron will wield a Keyblade in the first season. He'll wield the Keyblade(spoiler, he'll wield two) in the next season.
Finally, the dream board and the conservation Aaron had with Tenderheart that he can't explain. They'll be explained in Aaron and Sabrina's Secret Life. The dream board will make its official appearance when Cassandra and Annabelle(Salem's daughter from the sitcom, who will be a main character in the story) appears. Still figuring out when the dream board will be a thing in that story. As for the conservation, for now, just know that it helps Aaron with the dream he comes up with, the thing he's after for the rest of Season 1 and the entirety of Season 2.
Whew, that's a lot of things to write, and this is one of the longest things I've ever done. Anyways, hope you enjoy it, and this won't be the last time Aaron interacts with Care Bears.)
