Man, being inside at your home all the time does quite a bit on your mental health and energy. You think that would help speed up writing fanfiction, but it doesn't. Hope you guys are doing alright though!

Enjoy the new chapter!

MAY'S POKÉMON

Blaziken, Munchlax, Quilava, Wartortle, Glaceon, Vespiquen

DREW'S POKÉMON:

Roselia, Bayleef, Masquerain, Flygon, Absol

MADDIE'S POKÉMON:

Shellder, Butterfree

May and Drew sat down at a folding table while Maddie was preparing a large pot of soup.

May sniffed the air and smiled. "Oohhh, it smells so good," she swooned. "How much longer, Maddie?"

"It's almost finished!" Maddie replied. "I just need to add a few more potatoes!"

May slumped down on the table and groaned. "Oh, will you stop?" scolded Drew. "The food will be ready when it's ready."

May, Drew, and their new friend Maddie had spent the day walking down Route 42, heading towards Ecruteak City. There, May would face her next gym leader challenge.

After winning the Beauty ribbon at the Mahogany Town Contest, May was feeling bright and cheerful. She was eager to face her next great challenge!

Finally, Maddie served May and Drew a bowl of potato soup. "Oh wow! This looks amazing!" May said, gripping her spoon.

"Yeah, this looks delicious!" added Drew.

Maddie then poured a bowl for herself before sitting down. "Alright, let's eat!" she said, happily.

The three coordinators clapped their hands, gave thanks for the food, and dug right in. Upon taking the first bite, May's face glowed brightly. "I'm in paradise!" she swooned. "This stuff is the greatest!"

"I'm so happy you love my food!" Maddie replied, happily.

"Where did you learn to cook so well?" asked Drew.

"I've always liked cooking," answered Maddie. "My mom always told me that would be a great skill to have, especially when you're a Pokémon coordinator traveling by yourself."

"Bless you Maddie's mom for this amazing food!" May cried, happily, as she wrapped her arms around Maddie's head.

"Okay, settle down, May," groaned Drew.

As usual, their Pokémon sat in a group nearby. This was the first dinner they had with Maddie's Pokémon. Most of the Pokémon were happy to have new friends.

"So, you two are traveling with us now?" asked Munchlax.

"Looks like it," replied Butterfree. "I'm surprised Maddie found people to travel with. She usually scares people away."

"Oh…I wonder why," sneered Vespiquen.

"Hey Vespiquen, be nice," warned Blaziken.

"Be nice?!" snapped Vespiquen. "You mean no one else finds it odd that just a few days ago we were at each other's throats…and now we're sitting here, dining with them?!"

"Are you talking about the contest?" asked Butterfree. "That was just us having a battle. There's no hard feelings between us."

Butterfree looked towards Glaceon. "Uhh…right, Glaceon?" he asked, nervously.

"No, of course not," replied Glaceon. "Like you said, it was a contest battle. And besides, you weren't the meanest Pokémon in that contest."

Glaceon then rubbed her head anxiously. "Still feeling sore?" Blaziken asked, concerned.

"A little bit," Glaceon replied. "But I should be back to normal by tomorrow."

"Maybe once you're 100%, you can help Shellder with his Ice Beam," said Butterfree.

She looked over to Shellder. "You need help with your Ice Beam, Shellder?" she asked, kindly.

Shellder started shaking once his name was brought up. He looked up and saw everyone's attention was on him. He began shaking nervously. His eyesight became blurred. "Come on Shellder," said Butterfree. "Tell Glaceon about your Ice Beam."

"I-I-I-I….!" stuttered Shellder.

Shellder then closed up his shell and refused to come out. Glaceon was surprised. "Was it something I said?" she asked, nervously.

Butterfree groaned. "No, Shellder is just…very anxious," he explained.

"And your trainer Maddie wants to use him for contests?" laughed Vespiquen.

"Yeah, got a problem with that?" Butterfree asked, angrily.

"Well apparently, he does," Vespiquen said, pointing out Shellder's nervousness.

"I'd watch your mouth if I were you," warned Butterfree.

He furrowed his brow and glared at Vespiquen. "I couldn't beat Glaceon, but I'm sure I can take you on," boasted Butterfree.

"Is that a challenge?" Vespiquen asked, as she readied her claws for battle.

Butterfree and Vespiquen flew closer to one another until they were only centimeters away from each other's faces. The other Pokémon quickly got up to intervene. Vespiquen clenched her claws, just moments away from striking.

"Vespiquen…" scolded May.

Vespiquen turned and saw May staring at her disapprovingly. One look was enough for both Vespiquen and Butterfree to back down.

"Unbelievable," groaned May. "It's their first dinner together and already Vespiquen trying to pick a fight."

"I'm surprised you even have a Vespiquen," replied Maddie. "Vespiquen aren't known to be friendly Pokémon. How did you even end up with one?"

"It's a long story," said May. "When we were on our way to the Ice Path, Drew and I…"

"Hold on a minute!" interrupted Drew.

Drew was staring at a bush close-by. May and Maddie were confused. "Hold on for what?" asked Maddie.

"Is there something wrong?" asked May.

"Shush!" replied Drew. "Do you guys hear that?"

May and Maddie listened carefully, but they couldn't hear anything. "What are we listening for?" whispered Maddie.

"I swear I heard something in the bushes," answered Drew.

As soon as he said that, the sound of leaves rustling filled the air. "Look, see!" he said.

"It's probably just the wind," replied Maddie.

"Or a small Pokémon," added May. "No need to get worked up."

"It sounded bigger than that," worried Drew.

The bushes then began rustling wildly. Suddenly, a Pokémon jumped out from behind the bushes and lunged at the trio of coordinators! They screamed as they quickly jumped out of the way. The Pokémon smashed their table in half and sent soup and broken bowls flying everywhere! The pot that Maddie had used flipped over too, spilling soup everywhere!

The Pokémon were alerted to the commotion and quickly jumped to their trainers' aid.

"What the heck is that?!" May asked, worriedly.

The three looked up to see what it was that attacked them. In front of them was a Pokémon! It was only just two feet tall and had skinny limbs. Nevertheless, it looked furious as it glared at the coordinators, ready to fight. "That's a Tyrogue!" said Maddie.

TYROGUE

The Scuffle Pokémon

Tyrogue are very hyperactive and are always up for a fight. Tyrogue will challenge anything and everything to a fight, even Pokémon that are significantly larger than it.

"A Tyrogue?!" asked Drew. "Where did that come from?!"

May then took note of the spilled soup all over the ground. "Nooo!" she cried, "he ruined the soup!" May kneeled down and tried to scoop it up in her hands, but it was too late. The soup had already been spoiled and mushed into the dirt.

May squeezed the dirt in her palms as her sadness quickly turned to anger. "You'll pay for ruining such wonderful food!" she growled, angrily.

Just then, Blaziken appeared in front of her, ready to fight. "Let's go, Blaziken!" she shouted. "Take this thing out with Flamethrower!"

Blaziken immediately fired a blistering hot Flamethrower towards the enemy Tyrogue. Tyrogue responded by rapidly spinning in place like a top. The fire engulfed Tyrogue and spiraled upwards into the sky. The fire soon disappeared…but Tyrogue was left still spinning and untouched.

"What?!" Blaziken asked, surprised.

"That's amazing!" gasped Maddie. "He deflected that Flamethrower like it was nothing!"

"Oh yeah?" replied May. "Well, let's see if he can deflect this! Blaziken, use Earthquake!"

Blaziken raised his foot high into the air and slammed it hard down to the ground, causing the ground to split apart into crevices. The still-spinning Tyrogue was soon knocked off-balance, allowing Blaziken the chance to really do some damage. "Use Blaze Kick!" ordered May.

While Tyrogue was disoriented, Blaziken leaped up into the air. He lunged towards Tyrogue with his foot ablaze in a fiery ember.

Suddenly, Tyrogue righted himself and quickly leaped towards Blaziken! He stuck his foot out and collided with Blaziken's foot in the air. The three coordinators covered their eyes as the fire from Blaziken's Blaze Kick flew in all directions. Both Pokémon leaped away from each other and landed on their feet. Neither of them suffered any damage.

The Tyrogue stared down Blaziken, taunting him.

"For being so small, this Tyrogue is no pushover!" said Drew.

May was determined to avenge her spoiled food. "I bet that Tyrogue can't stand against all of the Pokémon!" she said.

"ALL of them?" Maddie asked, worriedly.

"Take it easy now, May," advised Drew.

But May wouldn't listen. "Alright guys!" she said to the Pokémon. "Let's get him! No holding back!"

The Pokémon were a bit hesitant to just overwhelm a single Pokémon. "I don't know guys," Munchlax said. "There's like ten of us and only one of him?"

"Not to worry," Vespiquen said. "I shall be quick!"

Not waiting for the others, Vespiquen charged at Tyrogue, her sharpened claws ready to strike. Tyrogue saw Vespiquen coming towards him. He quickly crouched down ready for Vespiquen's next move. "Alright, Vespiquen! Use Power Gem!" May shouted.

Vespiquen flew towards Tyrogue and fired a powerful orange ball of light towards Tyrogue. Tyrogue dodged it by jumping high into the air. He was heading towards Vespiquen, ready to give her a swift kick to the face. "Use Toxic!" shouted May.

Vespiquen snapped her abdomen forward…but was hit in the face by Tyrogue's Hi Jump Kick…but Tyrogue was just a few seconds too late. A nasty purple goo splashed all over him.

Both Pokémon crash-landed onto the ground below them. "Come on, Vespiquen! Get up!" cheered May.

To everyone's surprise, Vespiquen was quick to recover. She was back hovering in the air. Tyrogue, however, was still on the ground. The poison had quickly taken its effect on him as he cried out in agony. "Wow, that poison was quick to take Tyrogue out," said Drew.

"And you lot were actually afraid of this Pokémon?" Vespiquen said, taunting May's other Pokémon.

"Oh, we're not done yet!" May said, furiously. "Vespiquen, Furry Cutter now!"

Vespiquen's claws began glowing brightly. She then charged at her poisoned foe, ready to slice and dice him.

"Wait, STOP!" shouted a voice.

Just then, a muscular young man suddenly popped out from behind the trees. He placed himself in-between the two warring Pokémon and spread his arms out to stop Vespiquen. But she couldn't stop in time! Vespiquen slashed the man's face with Fury Cutter, leaving a serious gash in his face!

"Oh no!" gasped Maddie.

The young man slumped to the floor alongside Tyrogue, with a deep gash in his face. The three coordinators quickly ran to his aid. "Are you alright?" asked Maddie.

"Vespiquen, look what you did!" scolded May.

"This isn't my fault! He is the one who jumped in-between us!" replied Vespiquen.

The young man looked to be around the coordinators' age. He had short, spiky black hair and wore a white headband, along with a white gi. Drew and Maddie both tried waking the man up. "Hey, are you alright?" asked Drew.

"I'm fine," groaned the man, weakly. "This pain is nothing."

The muscular young man then surprised everyone by shooting back up onto his feet and beating his chest. "NOTHING CAN TAKE ME DOWN!" he shouted, proudly. "ME, KENTA! BLACK-BELT-IN-TRAINING!"

"Huh?" asked Maddie.

"Black-belt-in-training?" asked Drew.

"Not enough training it seems," added Vespiquen.

"Hahaha! Wow, your Pokémon sure did a number on me!" laughed Kenta.

Kenta turned around and saw Tyrogue lying on the ground, feeling sick. He quickly kneeled down to his knees to check on him. "Oh no, Tyrogue!" he said, worriedly. "Tyrogue, speak to me!"

Tyrogue only groaned in pain. "Tyrogue, what happened?" Kenta asked.

"He's been poisoned," answered Maddie.

"Poison?!" Kenta asked, shocked.

Kenta quickly dug through his pockets. "Just a moment…I think I have something for that," he muttered.

He then took out some berries from his pocket. He placed his hand full of berries in front of Tyrogue's mouth. "Here, eat this!" he said. Tyrogue was barely able to take the berries into his mouth to eat them.

Kenta then stood upright and pointed his finger at May. "Hey, what's the big idea poisoning my Pokémon?!" he asked, angrily.

"Excuse me, he's the one who started the fight!" snapped May. "He jumped out from the bushes and started kicking everything around! Then, he got into a fight with my Pokémon!"

May then picked up one of the now-empty bowls. "And he ruined our dinner!" she added.

Kenta looked around and saw that pots, bowls, and a folding table were smashed and spread out everywhere. His anger quickly subsided and turned into disappointment. "Not again," he murmured.

Once Tyrogue was feeling better, Kenta kindly offered to help May, Drew, and Maddie clean up the mess. Kenta tried to get Tyrogue to help too, but he refused to listen.

"I'm really sorry about all this," Kenta said, bowing down to May. "I've been trying to tame my Tyrogue for weeks and get him ready for the Pokéathlon. But it seems like nothing is working. You know how that is, right?"

"…yeah, I do," May said, remembering when her Quilava (back then a Cyndaquil) would always give her an attitude and disobey her every command. It was actually quite similar to how Vespiquen acts now. "Although, even at their worst, my Pokémon never went around smashing things."

Kenta lifted his head up and got a closer look at May. "Hmmm…you know something? You look kinda familiar," Kenta said.

"I do?" May asked, confused.

"Aren't you that coordinator that everyone keeps talking about?" asked Kenta

"You mean May, the Princess of Hoenn?!" Maddie answered, excitedly.

"Oh yeah! You're that girl!" replied Kenta. "I was in town getting supplies and I saw you on the T.V. They were talking about you and how you got into it with some hoity-toity girl named…what was it now…Vickie?"

"You mean Valerie?" corrected May.

"Yeah, her! Apparently, she was a pretty big deal until you broke her winning streak. Now you're the toast of the town! Everyone's talking about you."

"Oh my!" gasped May. "Did me defeating Valerie really make me that popular?!"

"Just don't let it go to your head," warned Drew.

"You're one to talk," she replied.

"I also heard you fighting gym leaders?" Kenta asked.

"I am!" answered May. "Look! I even won two badges!"

May took out her badges case and showed her badges to Kenta. "Hmmm…two, huh?" Kenta said, curiously. "Well, you're on your way. Just wait until you run into Chuck." Kenta made sure to whisper the last part. "So you're battling the top coordinators of Johto and the gym leaders, some of the strongest trainers in the region?!"

"That's the Princess of Hoenn for ya!" praised Maddie. "Talented in every way!"

"And you two are her friends?" Kenta asked.

"That's right!" said Maddie, happily. "I'm Maddie! And this is Drew! We're both coordinators."

"Then allow me to introduce myself properly," Kenta said. "My name is Kenta, Black-Belt-in-Training! I come from the Saffron City Dojo!"

"Saffron City? In Kanto?" May asked, surprised.

"You sure are a long way from home," said Maddie.

"Yes, well…my sensei sent me out here to continue my training. Then, I heard about the Pokéathlon. So I came to Johto with the hopes of winning and proving my worth to the Karate Master!"

"The Pokéathlon?" May asked, confused. "Oh! That's the big sports contest, right?"

"Big sports contest?" Kenta said, indignantly. "The Pokéathlon is more than just some big sports contest!"

Kenta crossed his arms and struck a manly pose. "The Pokéathlon is the ultimate test of Pokémon supremacy!" shouted Kenta. "The ultimate test of strength! Endurance! Stamina! Speed!"

May and Drew were a bit put off by Kenta's excessive shouting. Kenta then began listing some of the events in the Pokéathlon. "This isn't some one-on-one battle!" he said. "This is a free-for-all between trainers and Pokémon! There's Pennant Capture, a race to collect as many flags as possible without being attacked by the other Pokémon! Or the Snow Throw, annihilate your opponents with the fiercest of snowballs!"

"That…doesn't sound bad," commented Drew.

"Well how about the Ring Drop!" continued Kenta. "Where the Pokémon all fight at once, trying to knock each other off the ring!"

"Yeah, sorry, I should have warned you," whispered Maddie to May and Drew. "Muscle guys like him really get into the Pokéathlon!"

Kenta then continued listing all of the different events. While some of them didn't phase May or Drew in the slightest, other events such as the Ring Drop and Block Smash had them a bit uneasy.

"Yes, it's a tough, brutal contest," Kenta said, "but those that win the gold medal in the Pokéathlon will forever be known as the strongest, most toughest Pokémon trainer in the world!"

"Gold medals?" Drew asked, excitedly. "Now we're talking!"

Kenta then proudly pumped his fist. "Me and my Pokémon are gonna win this time and bring honor and glory to the Fighting Dojo of Saffron City!" he shouted.

"Even with Tyrogue?" May asked, concerned.

Kenta looked at his Tyrogue, who was still sulking by himself, away from everyone else. Kenta laughed nervously. "Well…we still got some time," he said. "I'll find a way to set him straight! And if not me, then maybe my other Pokémon will beat some sense into him."

"Other Pokémon?" asked May.

"I'm glad you asked!" replied Kenta.

Kenta reached into his belt and took out two Poké Balls. "Heracross! Toxicroak! Come on out!" he shouted.

He released his two other Pokémon out into the open. Everyone was surprised by their appearance. One was a bulky beetle-like Pokémon, with strong forearms and a large horn protruding from his forehead. His big yellow eyes didn't look intimidating, but everyone could tell he could fight hard.

The other Pokémon was a frog-looking Pokémon with a bulbous sac under his chin. It expanded and shrunk as it croaked quietly. Unlike Heracross, Toxicroak had an intense stare and his overall aura made everyone feel uneasy.

"Let me introduce to you the rest of Team Kenta, Heracross and Toxicroak!" Kenta said, proudly.

Both Heracross and Toxicroak bumped their fists together and bowed to the three coordinators. May was amazed. She had never seen these two Pokémon before.

HERACROSS

The Single Horn Pokémon

Despite its docile nature, Heracross has enough strength to topple over a large tree. Heracross is capable of hurling its opponents over long distances with its mighty horn.

TOXICROAK

The Toxic Mouth Pokémon

The poison on Toxicroak's claws is pumped in from the sac on its neck. The poison is considered to be very vile, where even a single scratch can prove fatal.

"Oooh, look out Vespiquen," taunted Wartortle, "you might have some competition on your hands."

Vespiquen said nothing. She only glared at Toxicroak, who was quick to glare right back at her.

"With these two plus Tyrogue, that gold medal is ours!" said Kenta.

May looked at Kenta and his three Pokémon. She thought hard about whether she wanted to enter the Pokéathlon. Maddie noticed this. "So, what do you think, May?" asked Maddie. "Are you gonna enter the Pokéathlon?"

"I…don't know," answered May.

"What?! But you're the Princess of Hoenn!" Maddie said. "You said it yourself! After defeating Valerie, your Pokémon can take on any challenge!"

"I did say that…" murmured May.

"Well, I know I'm entering for sure!" Drew said, proudly.

"You are?" May asked.

"You've been getting a lot of attention lately," he said. "I can't fall behind and have you upstage me!"

"So you want to try your hand at the Pokéathlon too?" asked Kenta. "I must warn you, these guys in the Pokéathlon don't mess around! They ain't as friendly as those coordinators you're used to!"

"As if you knew the coordinators I've been dealing with," thought May.

"But Drew, you've always done contests," said Maddie. "Are you sure you want to enter?"

"I'm not worried," Drew said, as he shrugged his shoulders. "If someone like May can take on the toughest trainers and win, I think I'll manage just fine."

"Hey, what do you mean someone like me?!" May asked, angrily.

"It's a compliment," replied Drew.

"Didn't sound like one."

May turned back to Kenta. "Y'know what? If Drew is going to enter the contest, then so will I!" she said.

"Yes! That's the spirit!" Maddie said, happily.

May turned to her Pokémon. "What do you guys think?" she asked.

Her Pokémon cheered and agreed with her. "If that Walrein couldn't stop me, then nothing will!" bragged Wartortle.

"After seeing my Toxic and Fury Cutter, you still doubt my abilities?" said Vespiquen, boastfully.

"You're right, May!" said Glaceon. "After that battle with Valerie, nothing is too tough for us!"

Blaziken and Quilava only looked at each other and nodded. Blaziken was strong, with Quilava on her way in matching his power. Munchlax, however, was the most anxious."Didn't that Kenta guy say these people weren't friendly?" worried Munchlax.

"I wouldn't worry," replied Blaziken. "He's just trying to intimidate us from competing. We can manage."

May smiled at her Pokémon's readiness to compete. "Sounds like a sure thing to me!"

"Ooh, aren't we feeling confident?" replied Kenta. "Alright then. Well, if you're serious about the Pokéathlon, then I'm going to help you three get ready!"

"Three?" Maddie asked, surprised. "But…I'm not…"

"Tomorrow, the three of you are going to join me in training. We'll even practice some of the events, so you know what you're getting into."

"That's fine by me!" May said, eagerly. "My Pokémon and I will take on anything you throw at us!"

"And I'll prove that I'm just as capable of battling as May is," added Drew.

"Uh Kenta," said Maddie, "I don't have enough Pokém-"

"Alright, see you tomorrow bright and early!" Kenta replied.

He waved goodbye and continued on his way back to his camp, leaving the three coordinators behind. While Maddie was a bit nervous, May and Drew were determined to prove themselves in the Pokéathlon.

"Challenging gym leaders, defeating the longest-reigning undefeated coordinator of Johto, and now the Pokéathlon," May thought. "If I win the Pokéathlon, that'll be more proof to Jahan that coordinators are just as strong as trainers!"

"Everyone is so focused on May," thought Drew. "There's no way I'm getting left in the dirt while she gets all the glory!"

"What am I going to do?" thought Maddie. "I can't enter the Pokéathlon. Not only do I not have enough Pokémon, but the ones I do have can't take on those guys!"

Suddenly, a growling sound could be heard. Drew and Maddie turned towards May. May clutched her stomach with a pained look on her face. "Oh, I'm still hungry," she complained. Drew only shook his head.

THE NEXT MORNING…

The sun was beginning to rise over Mt. Mortar. The light of dawn peeked over the mountain top onto the tents of May, Drew, and Maddie.

May was sleeping in her sleeping bag inside of her tent. She clutched her pillow tightly as she slept peacefully. Normally, she slept until the sun had fully risen and the smell of breakfast filled the air.

But today, she was in for a rude awakening.

FFFFWWWWWHHHHHHEEEEUUUUUEEEEHHHHH!

Suddenly, an incredibly loud whistle broke the silence and May jumped out of her sleeping bag, scared out of her mind. "Rise and shine! Let's go!" shouted a voice.

May saw that Kenta was in her tent, whistle in hand. "Kenta…what are you doing?!" May asked, angrily.

"We got a busy day today," Kenta said. "This is no time for beauty sleep!"

May, still groggy, stepped outside of her tent. "It's barely dawn," she complained.

"I did say bright and early, didn't I?" Kenta asked. "It means we have more time to train! And more time to get you prepared for the Pokéathlon!"

Kenta blew his whistle again, casing May to cover her ears. "Let's moveitout!"

"What's all that noise?" asked Drew, who was also awoken by Kenta's whistling.

Kenta took his head out from May's tent and saw Drew stepping out of his tent. "Excellent! You're awake as well!" Kenta said. "Now take this!"

Kenta then threw a gi at May and Drew. "I've prepared you some proper clothes for training today! The Maddie girl is currently making breakfast! It should be ready in a few minutes!" Kenta blew his whistle again. "Let's go!"

"Stop with the whistling!" May shouted, furiously.

Kenta then left May and Drew alone and went to check on breakfast. May and Drew turned to each other, both looking exhausted and miserable. "I think we made a terrible mistake," May said to Drew.

A/N: This chapter was such a massive headache to write. Apart from moving back to Japan, I had really bad writer's blocks and I was trying really hard to make the dialogue flow naturally. I'd greatly appreciate any comments you have about this chapter, because for a while, I wasn't really feeling it.

I was having trouble figuring out where to go after the ending of the last chapter. I chose getting ready for the Pokéathlon because I thought that would be an interesting challenge for not just May, but also Drew.

Originally, Kenta was going to be the Karate King Kiyo. And Kenta's Pokémon were going to be Hitmontop and Hitmonlee. But lo and behold, that was already done in the anime. So I had to quickly make some changes.

I know this chapter shorter than my chapters usually are. What I want to do is avoid writing such long, drawn-out chapters that feel bloated and instead try to go back to how I usually do it, with writing shorter, bite-sized chapters. Hopefully, that'll help with speeding up the updates to the story.

NEXT TIME: Training begins for the Pokéathlon! May, Drew, and their Pokémon are put through grueling challenges set by Kenta. From breaking boulders to running relay, the Pokémon's teamwork is also put to the test.

Meanwhile, Maddie goes out and tries to find a third Pokémon for her team (despite her doubts about winning). But while on her search, she encounters an incredibly strong Pokémon! Maybe too strong! And ferocious!

How will May, Drew, and their Pokémon fare in Kenta's training courses? Can Maddie subdue this strong opponent? And…wait a minute. May and Drew…know this strong Pokémon?

Find out in the next, fun-sized chapter of "Pokémon: Contest Chronicles!"
