"Owen," Teddy said from where they were cuddling on the couch.

"Teddy," Owen replied.

"Allison is two and a bit," Teddy said, "I want another baby."

"What are you saying," Owen asked.

"Let's try," Teddy said, "one more baby."

"When," Owen asked.

"Finish this pack of pills I have like three days left," Teddy said.

"Planning this one," Owen said.

"Let's keep it between us," Teddy whispered, " Allison is old enough for a sibling. At this point it would be three years between them."

"At least this will be fun," Owen said.

"And your mom won't want to kill us this time," Teddy said.

"She didn't want to kill us for Allison," Owen said.

"Not the best example for Nikki," Teddy said, "if that was the example someone set for Allison I wouldn't have been as accepting."

"It was you and I," Owen said, "mom loves you. She knew you and I would be together eventually."

"It's always been you," Teddy said.

"I know," Owen said, "the moment I met you."

"So another baby," Teddy said.

"Another one," Owen said.

"One of each," Teddy mused.

"Your blonde hair this time," Owen wondered.

"Your eyes," Teddy said.

"Allison is a pretty good mix," Owen said.

"She is," Teddy agreed.

"Should we practice," Owen asked.

"I don't think we need to," Teddy giggled, "but it never hurt."

Owen picked her up off the couch and carried her up to their room.

"Nikki stop," Julie complained, "put the violin away and go to bed or study."

"Too annoyed," Nikki said, "I'm trying to calm down."

"So you're taking your fight with your boyfriend out on your volin," Julie asked.

"You don't get it," Nikki said, dropping the bow on the couch.

"What don't I get," Julie asked.

"Jeff," Nikki said, "I think he's just being a guy but I don't know."

"What's going on," Julie asked.

"He wants me to go to a frat party with him tomorrow and stay at his place," Nikki said, "I said no."

"Why did you say no," Julie asked.

"I don't drink because of the accident," Nikki said, "some one's drinking almost killed me Jules. I just don't want to drink. I've been to a couple frat things with him and I'm the only sober person and it sucks."

"And the staying the night," Julie asked.

"I'm not ready," Nikki said, "I don't know if he is the one yet. I want to know he's the one first."

"What are you thinking," Julie asked.

"I want my sister," Nikki admitted, "I want to talk to Meghan."

"What if you talked to Teddy," Julie suggested.

"She's not Meghan," Nikki said, "and I can't get her without Owen. Why do I still miss my sister? It's been 5 years."

"I still miss my dad," Julie said, "when I miss him I talk to my mom and Uncle Jordan about him. Talk to your mom or Owen about Meghan."

"I don't like talking to Teddy about boys," Nikki said.

"What does Jeff want you to do," Julie asked.

"Sleep over," Nikki said, "I don't know what that means."

"You were at camp all last summer and nothing happened," Julie asked.

"Nothing really," Nikki said, "his hands under my shirt a couple times but we were never alone really."

"Why don't you," Julie asked.

"Not safe," Nikki said.

"What do you mean," Julie asked.

"I'm not on birth control," Nikki admitted.

"Could Teddy help you," Julie suggested.

"She's a heart surgeon," Nikki said.

"Can she write prescriptions," Julie asked.

"She can. She did when I got bronchitis over Christmas," Nikki said, "but that was in her speciality."

"Talk to Teddy," Julie said, "and don't sleep with Jeff until you do."

"I don't know if I want to," Nikki said, "we've been together a year. But it's always what he wants to do and around his schedule."

"Thats guys," Julie said.

"Says the single one," Nikki said.

"Between boyfriends, there's a guy in my shakespeare class who is really hot. You should meet Ben," Julie said.

"Maybe next weekend," Nikki suggested, "a double date?"

"Sure," Julie agreed, "can you stop playing angry songs now?"

"Yes," Nikki agreed, "sorry about that."

"Are we staying here for the summer," Julie asked.

"It was a one year lease," Nikki said, "we agreed to a year so I'm staying. I can't go back to moms. I like my freedom here."

"They don't hover like I thought they would," Julie agreed.

"Owen notices when Jeff comes and goes," Nikki said.

"That's called a brother," Julie laughed.

"They don't interfere and only spring babysitting on me in an absolute emergency," Nikki said.

"I'm going to bed," Julie said.

"I should two," Nikki agreed.

Met Teddy in the driveway as she headed out for a run.

"Nikki," Teddy called, "running?"

"I was going for a short one," Nikki said, "are you running?"

"I was going to," Teddy said, "run with me?"

"I guess," Nikki said, "I need to talk to you without Owen."

"Ya he's playing with Allison," Teddy said.

"Should we go," Nikki said, taking off down the driveway.

"Lets go," Teddy agreed.

They had run for a couple miles before Teddy dropped the pace to a walk, "you wanted to talk with out your brother."

"I need a sister," Nikki admitted,

"What's happening with Jeff," Teddy asked.

"He wants me to spend the night," Nikki said.

"What do you want," Teddy asked.

"I don't know," Nikki said, "I'm so not ready."

"In what way," Teddy asked.

"I need your help with a prescription for something," Nikki said.

"Go see your family doctor," Teddy said, "I can't just write it, even if you got it today it takes a month to be effective."

"How do I know if I'm ready," Nikki asked.

"You just do," Teddy said.

"How did you know," Nikki asked.

"I wasn't ready and he wasn't the right guy," Teddy admitted, "I was 19 and he was my first real boyfriend."

"How do I know," Nikki asked.

"How does he make you feel," Teddy asked.

"Comftrable," Nikki said.

"Do you feel safe with Jeff," Teddy asked.

"I do," Nikki replied.

"Does he listen to you. If you tell him no does he stop," Teddy asked.

"Yes," Nikki answered.

"Have you said I love you," Teddy questioned.

"A few times," Nikki blushed, "in the last couple weeks."

"Who said it first," Teddy pressed, this was news to her.

"He did," Nikki said, "we were watching a movie and kissing and he said it."

"Has it gone beyond kissing," Teddy asked.

"Hands under my shirt," Nikki said.

"No more," Teddy pushed.

"No," Nikki said, "I'm scared."

"Then you're not ready. If you're scared it's not right," Teddy said, "he should make you feel safe and loved and completely comfortable. Butterflies yes but not fear."

"I want to and he makes me feel things I can't explain," Nikki blushed.

"Take your time," Teddy said, "and that's called being attracted to him. It's normal and healthy."

"I don't want to stay in his dorm," Nikki said, "he has a roommate."

"No you don't do that," Teddy said, "don't be that girl. You don't want to be the girl that sexiles his roommate. Have some dignity."

"When it gets to that point if I want him to sleep over can you diffuse Owen," Nikki asked.

"I can help," Teddy said, "Owen knows you're almost 20. But we should head back."

"Thanks Teddy," Nikki smiled before picking the pace back up to finish the run.

"Any time squirt," Teddy smiled. She liked having her little sister and was pleased Nikki felt safe enough to confide in her and come to her with her questions. She knew Nikki would do things when the time was right and she felt ready. Teddy was happy to answer Nikki's questions especially when it came to that and being safe, she wanted to make sure Nikki had the right information and it was correct. Nikki asking her that she knew she had her sister in laws complete trust.
