Getting Stronger through the Travel
The scene shows a forest that may seem peaceful at first until a loud explosion erupted from one area and several figures pop out from the trees.
"Damn, those things are tough." Oozaru commented.
"That just make things more fun to smash them all!" Nora grinned.
"Be careful, Nora, let your guard down even once and you'll be the one on the ground." Ren warned.
"He's right, even when we take down more of these black fuckers another will take its place." Jotaro pointed out.
"Swear!" Ruby shouted at Jotaro.
"Is now really the best time for that?" Jotaro asked.
"Save that for later, you two." Jaune said readying his shield and sword for battle.
"He's right, they're coming." Katsuragi posed in her fighting stance.
A pack of Beowulves came out of the trees charging at the young heroes to kill as they've always done to any humans, but they will soon meet their end by the Hunters in training.
Oozaru charges his right fist with his aura and sprint toward three Beowolves like a lance piercing through their body like wet paper. Ruby slashes away two of them before they could react using her speed Semblance as they fell in defeat and in half too. Katsuragi using her wind Semblance on her gauntlet boots swinging leg fast and fierce blowing three black wolf monsters in the air and slamming them down so hard their bodies puff in black mist. Ren shooting two of the Beowolves coming at him and dodges their claws, he stabs one with both the blades of his guns and rips the head off and one fang to stab the other on the head and use a technique that pushes the fang through the head causing it the explode. Nora fired two missiles from her hammer destroying two Beowulves and killing the third one in one blow from her hammer strike while smirking. Jaune blocks one claw strike and the moment the paw made contact, he quickly impales it through the neck and slices the head off before turning around for a swing slash at the other some coming at him across the chest and spin again cutting it in half.
Jotaro is just standing in one spot being surrounded by four black wolf monsters slowing moving towards him, one clutch from his fist and the Beowulves jump to pounces him at the same time though he isn't worry in the slightest as he crack his knuckles charging the gloves with electric shock from the lightning Dusts.
"Star Platinum, Freeze Time!" Jotaro shouted bring out his aura Stand, and time is frozen around him.
Jotaro face two Beowulves while Star Platinum faces the other two from behind and they both unleash their barrage blurry punches on the black wolves then quickly stop.
"Now, time will flow again." Jotaro said and everything around him started to move again as the four Beowulves are sent flying dead.
"Okay, I think that was the last of them." Jaune reported seeing that no more Grimm are coming at them.
"Guess that means our workout session is done." Katsuragi said stretching her legs.
"It wouldn't be a surprise that Grimm would be roaming around places like this." Ruby stated.
"But at least we're getting stronger throughout the journey for the past…" Oozaru paused trying to remember how it is now since they started traveling to Mistral.
"Seven months and three days." Jotaro revealed the time.
"Wow, so much time as passed, I almost didn't realize our hair has grown longer." Nora shocked brushing her hair with her hand.
"Maybe for some of you though I think Ren is going to be mistaken as a girl for how long his hair is." Oozaru joked making Ruby laugh a little.
"Not the first time it happened." Ren shrugged, remembering how embarrassing it was when some women thought he was a girl as a kid some time.
"I don't see what's the problem with that, growth of the hair just means your body is growing through the course of training and years of those trainings." Oozaru stated.
"Of course, you would be say that consider your hair hasn't changed in the slightest at all." Katsuragi pointed out.
"Really, huh? Now that you mention it, Velvet have told me that I was born with this exact hair style since the day I was born, guess she wasn't exaggerating." Oozaru remembered the talk he had with Velvet some time ago.
"Yeah, that's putting it lightly." Katsuragi deadpanned.
"I have a pair of scissors for hair cutting if you guys need a haircut." Jotaro showed the scissor from his backpack.
"Seriously? Is that why your hair hasn't grown at all?" Nora asked gasp.
"Let's first head to the nearest town first before we decide on getting a haircut." Jaune suggested.
"Good idea because I am starving!" Oozaru rubbed his stomach.
"But we just had lunch a little over an hour ago." Ruby said looking at the time on her Scroll.
"I know, but that was only with the fishes and the snacks we packed yet I'm still hungry." Oozaru winced a little.
"I hope the town we visit will be prepare for his stomach." Jaune worried.
"You and me both." Jotaro nodded.
(Later)
"Oh man, now this is good stuff! The flavors are exploding in my mouth!" Oozaru smiled, eating his meal in joy.
"Hey Mister Chef, keep them coming!" Oozaru shouted.
"HA! I haven't been challenged like this in a long time, hope you enjoy the moment while you can kid because I'm going to make you feel full!" The Chef laughed while making the fifth meal for Oozaru.
"Huh, guess we didn't have to worry at all." Jaune surprised as the others are eating their own snacks.
"I wonder how much food the Chef will keep using?" Nora asked.
"I'm sure they'll stop… I hope." Ruby gulped, imagining the bill they'll be given soon.
"I don't think you need to worry about the bill, the chef looks like he's taking a liking to Oozaru and will just give the "on the house" treatment." Jotaro figured out.
"Really? Just like that?" Katsuragi asked shock.
"But I think this is only a one-time thing." Jotaro guessed.
While Ruby is eating a cookie, she looks over seeing two girls talking to each other and heard a conversation that have piqued her interest.
"No way, that's the shirt you've always wanted!" Girl 1 amazed.
"Yeah, my big brother helped me save a lot of money for this and I'm glad I got to wear it now." Girl 2 smiled proudly.
"But, what about your old shirt?" Girl 1 asked.
"I'm thinking about giving it away for someone else to use it, can't keep wearing the same thing forever." Girl 2 stated.
"You're right, I was thinking of getting myself a new hair style too." Girl 1 said before they left the restaurant.
"Hmm…" Ruby started thinking about what those girls were saying as she eats another cookie.
"Something on your mind, Ruby?" Oozaru asked.
"Well, I was just thinking maybe we could use some changes to ourselves as well." Ruby said.
"Change ourselves, what does that mean?" Nora confused.
"I believe Ruby is referring to upgrading our clothes as they are looking tiresome right now." Ren said looking at his own clothes and everyone else.
"I think you're right; we are due for some new looks in ourselves." Jaune agreed.
"Although, I don't think this town has a blacksmith who can help with our weapons." Katsuragi stated.
"That's okay, we can just focus on the clothes for now then worry about upgrading our weapons later." Ruby said.
"Good point, just focus on one thing at a time." Jotaro nodded.
"If that's decided then we should get going to see what we can find around here." Jaune said as everyone gets up and Jotaro left a tip for the chef.
"Oozaru, come on! We're going to do a little clothes shopping." Ruby grabbed Oozaru's arm dragging him out of the restaurant.
"But… But I was about to have my ninth!" Oozaru winced.
"Come back again, kid!" The Chef called out, waving goodbye.
The team have gone to one clothing store that have just what they needed to give themselves a new change in style to their growth of their adventuring to Mistral and how strong they have gotten over the past several months, it took then quite a while for them to decide and now they are ready to present themselves to each other.
"Wow, this is so cool! Better than I thought!" Ruby cheered looking at her new clothes.
Her new outfit retains the use of a black skirt with red tulle underneath, somewhat similar to her original outfit, but her waist cincher has been replaced with an overbust corset with red strip holding it in place. A black belt bordered in red holds the magnetic clip for Crescent Rose and its ammunition. She also has brown straps on her blouse that allow her to wear a small brown backpack. In lieu of her usual full black stockings, Ruby wears thigh-high stockings reaching to a few inches below the hem of her skirt, decorated by an image of a long-stemmed rose. Her red-soled black boots contain four straps and buckles apiece. Her cloak has a singular clip on the right shoulder in the shape of her emblem, replacing the cross-shaped clips from her original attire. Both the cloak and the stockings show tears from hardware.
"Oh yeah, looking hot there, little rose!" Nora complimented.
"Thank, and you look great too!" Ruby said.
Nora has retains her gloves and wears a white sleeveless turtleneck top that is similar to her old one, though the heart cut-out on the top has a diagonal cut through it. She also wears a shorter, detached white sleeve on her left arm. Over the shirt, she wears a open cropped, short-sleeved navy blue bomber jacket with a damaged print of her emblem visible on the back and pink stripes along the sleeves alongside pink buckled cuffs. and red lining on the collar. She wears a pleated pink skirt with two wide belt loops for matching belt, the skirt has a white layered tulle. She wears knee-high pink socks just visible above her white calf-length boots with pink laces and black low heels, soles and toes.
"It's nothing much, this feels totally me like I want to unleash the thunder!" Nora smirked with a kick to the air.
"Don't you always unleash the thunder anyway?" Ren asked chuckling.
"Of course, I do! It's what makes my awesomeness so awesome!" Nora proclaimed.
"I can tell." Ren said.
"Your new outfit looks great on you, Ren. Definitely gives the whole "Ninja" vibe look." Ruby complimented.
Ren's new outfit is similar to before in color. He now has a longer, sleeveless tailcoat with black and silver trimming. Under it, he wears a black, sleeveless turtleneck with red, tasseled ropes over the hips, pants that get tighter below the knees and calf-high open-toed sandals. From his middle finger to his biceps run gradient pink-to-black detached sleeves ending in metal armbands.
"Whoa, you look really good. I mean, really cool and awesome." Nora said nervously with her cheeks blushing a little.
"Thank you. I feel pretty good about this." Ren said.
"Glad to see you guys getting some outfits, but I'm afraid that my armor is the only that needs to be update while the rest of my clothes are fine." Jaune said as he is still wearing the same outfit and armor.
"Don't worry, Jaune, I'm sure the next town we'll visit can help with that." Ruby assured.
"So, is this outfit alright because I'm not much a fashion guy myself." Oozaru asked, coming out of the changing room showing his new combat outfit.
Oozaru is now wearing an orange sleeveless jacket with one black stripe on each side and a short sleeve blue shirt underneath, black fingerless gloves along with matching pants, and blue shoes.
"Oh yeah, that is definitely a good look for you." Ruby nodded with a thumb up joined by Nora, Jaune, and Ren.
"Aw, thanks guys." Oozaru chuckled.
"Okay everyone, here comes the new and cool-looking Katsuragi!" Katsuragi jumped out of the changing room, revealing herself to be wearing a skimpy bunny outfit.
This causes Jaune and Ren's eyes to widen while blushing like mad, Nora quickly pull Ren into her breasts to shield his eyes while Ruby just use her cape to cover Oozaru's eyes as well, Jaune was unfortune that he did not have someone to protect his sight.
"Will you cut that out?" Jotaro karate chopped his girlfriend on the head.
"Sheesh, I just having a little fun, honey. No need to be a party popper." Katsuragi exclaimed.
"Blame yourself for being such a pervert." Jotaro said.
Jotaro's new outfit is similar to his old outfit except mostly everything is all white now, two purple belts on his pants, and his new hat is white too though the back looks like its merging with his hair like before.
"Now hurry up and put on the outfit I picked out for you." Jotaro said.
"Okay, okay, just so you know, I really do like the one you picked out for me." Katsuragi said before getting into the changing room.
"Guess even after all the traveling and the Fall of Beacon didn't change her personality much." Oozaru stated.
"This may sound weird saying this, but I think that's a good thing." Jaune believed.
"We have to keep up the positive throughout our life on both the good and bad times, but we also need to be serious for whenever we come across something dangerous along the way." Ruby stated strongly, still remembering the Fall of Beacon and how it affected everyone including herself.
"You got that right; we also need to be prepare for when we face those fucking bastards who is trying to bring ruin to this world." Jotaro clutched his fists, wanting to punch DIO's stupid face to kill him right now.
"Don't worry, Jotaro. I promise we'll get back at those guys the minute we get to Mistral and prevent another kingdom school fall." Katsuragi promised strongly.
She comes out showing her new outfit to be a white full bodysuit with blue ribbon and scabbards which carry kunai, a halterneck bra, gloves with a cherry blossom logo, a pair of armguards, leather boots with shinguards, and a choker.
"So, what do you guys think?" Katsuragi asked with a wink.
"Well, huh… it looks really good on you." Jaune said nervously.
"Is that really the only outfit you can find for her?" Ren asked Jotaro, whispering to his ear.
"It was either that or the other combat outfit we found which was more revealing than that." Jotaro explained.
"Glad to know about that." Ren said.
"Okay, now all that is left is to help upgrade Jaune's armor and we'll be all set to go!" Ruby said.
"I hope we can find a blacksmith who can also upgrade my weapons too, I've been meaning to make my family's heirloom stronger." Jaune said and holding out a familiar item for the others to see.
"You're going to use Pyrrha's headpiece for the upgrade." Jotaro guessed.
"Yeah, I thought it's something she would want me to do and this way I can still carry on her memento besides her red sash." Jaune looked down at the red sash wrapped around his waist.
"She would definitely be proud of you for that." Ren smiled as Nora nods and almost cried a bit.
Everyone looks at each other and they soon leave the little town to make their way to the next town to find the blacksmith to help give Jaune an upgrade on his looks, they also reflect on how far they have come throughout their journey ever since leaving Patch. They knew the kinds of danger Cinder, DIO, and those with them are with the Fall of Beacon and they will stop at nothing to make the world bow before them.
But they won't let that happen, for they will continue to get stronger until they arrive at Mistral and stop Haven from falling as they carry hope in their souls.
