Magic Zone

Issei felt that he had to prepare for an upcoming attack. In doing so, he shut all of his family out. Rias had given and executive order for all the girls to sleep in their own rooms for the time being. Of course, since she and Issei shared a room, she stayed. She also let Kuroka stay in the room too, since Ewan needed to be near both of his parents. The nights were still rough on them. Issei was now able to move his body since he wasn't held down, so his arms shook violently. Rias was always there to help when he woke up.

Tonight was no exception. Rias woke up to find Issei breathing hard. She instinctively wrapped her arms around him and pulled him to her chest. "You're alright. It's alright. We're all right here and we love you very much." This had become the phrase that was able to keep him calm. The next step was always to calm Ellie and Ewan down after they sensed their father's stress.

Eventually the nightmares did stop, or so Issei had told her, but the intense training stayed on. Issei pushed himself to the absolute limit as much as he could. Now that he was out of school, he could focus all his time on getting stronger.

Finally, Rias got fed up and took him to see Sirzechs about the matter.

"Thank you for seeing him brother." Rias said as they sat at his desk.

"Anything for my sister and brother in law." The current Maou spoke seriously. "Now Issei. I have a friend that can help you determine if what you're seeing will come to pass."

"I know it's gonna happen! July 23 at 17:34 (5:34 pm) Syn Kurata launches an attack on my home." Issei stood.

"How do you know that it's this coming July and not next year?"

"Because… Akeno was still pregnant, although more so than now."

"Come, Issei. Let me take you to my friend." Sirzechs stood and led Issei out the room. "Rias, you can go home now. He will be staying the night here."

The two ventured through the halls for a little while before approaching a large door. Upon opening the door, a familiar blond girl sat at a work bench before them. Her sky blue dress and hat, was enough for Issei to remember her.

"Good evening Lord Sir-." The young magician stood but stopped when she saw his guest. "Issei?"

"Hey, Le Fay. It's been a while." Issei rubbed his neck as he greeted her. She had grown a lot in the two years since she saw him. "You still keeping up with the show?"

"I will always be your biggest fan 'Oppai Dragon'!" She rushed and hugged Issei tight.

Sirzechs just laughed at her excitement. "Le Fay. We need your help with something."

"Anything magical, I'm your girl." She cheered as Issei took the empty seat in front of her. "What can I help you with?"

"A nightmare. I'm terrified that it will come true in due time." Issei's smile faded at his recollection. "The details are so specific that it has to be a vision of some sort."

"Well that's easy to solve." Le Fay cheered. "All I have to do is watch your dreams. There is a slight issue. I will need to be very close to you while you sleep so I can study your dream."

"I'll leave you two to sort it out." Sirzechs left the two alone.

"Considering the life that I have, that won't be an issue." He chuckled. "I tend to have 8 girls in my bed every night." Seeing Le Fay's blush, he stopped. "I'm sorry. Too personal."

"It's okay. That makes me feel better knowing that you are comfortable with me being so close." Her smiled proved his theory.

"Shall we get started then?" Issei stood and led Le Fay to the guest room he had been lent by Sirzechs. A sign on the door warned everyone but Rias to stay away.

"I-Issei?" Le Fay's flustered face showed she had more to say. "For this to work, I need to be as close to you as absolutely possible. That means…"

"I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that we need to be naked for this?" Her bright red face and nod gave him his answer. "Okay. I don't have an issue with it if you don't."

"Um… I'm okay with it." The young magician was slow to discard her clothing and join Issei in the large bed.

"So, Le Fay. How did you come to be at Sirzechs' house?" Issei asked as she covered herself with the large blanket.

"You remember that I was part of Vali's team?" Issei nodded. "My brother Arthur wanted to keep me safe once the HDAA attacked us. He figured that one of the 4 great Satans should be able to keep me safe."

Issei felt Le Fay slide a bit closer. He jumped a bit at her cold feet.

"I'm sorry, my workshop gets cold." She hoped that she didn't scare him, but he just laughed.

"It's okay. Koneko was bad about scratching me for a while." He took her hand gently and trace the scars that Koneko had given him. "See, you can't really beat that one."

The blonde magician's face was red as she felt over Issei's well cut abs. "Wow." Her mouth soon formed a smile. "Issei?"

"Yes?"

"What am I to expect in your nightmare?"

He took in a deep breath and sighed. "It's very grim. Bodies, blood, death, and destruction. My family, some you've met. Their bodies everywhere."

"My, that is a bad dream. You said this had been going on for how long?"

"A couple weeks. Every night."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. You're doing so much to help me with this. Thank you, Le fay." He kissed her head before he realized it. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm used to doing that so much I forgot."

"No, it's okay. It felt nice. To be appreciated, I mean."

"You weren't before?"

"Big brother always told me to stay behind when it came to a fight. I felt like he didn't trust me enough to hold my own or do my job."

"Le Fay." Issei wrapped his arm around her naked form. "He wants to keep you safe. It's part of being an older brother. I learned that with Asia. She came to my home after a terrible set of circumstances. I found it to be my responsibility to look after her."

"C-Can I be a part of that?"

Issei thought for a second. He already had one member of Vali's team with him what's one more. "We'd be happy to have you at our house Le Fay, but I'd have to talk to Vali. Besides, I'm sure Kuroka would like you to." He smiled at her sparkly blue eyes.

"I've missed her so much. How is she?" Le Fay rested her head on his chest as she started to drift off.

"She's great. Her son is doing well too."

"Son?"

"We had a baby boy a few months ago. His name is Ewan. You'll get a chance to meet him soon enough." He yawned indicating it was almost time for the experiment to start.

"Okay one last thing." Le Fay sat up before realizing she was not clothed from the top up. "Oh dear." She covered herself. "I forgot."

"Here, you can wear this right now." Issei took his red shirt and handed to her for the time being.

"Thank you." Her blush shined brightly against the lamp light. "Et tunc venit visitare terra somniabunt. Cum dolore ad originem ducat." After her spell was cast, she removed his shirt and laid back by his side. As she laid down, she noticed her spell put him to sleep. "Oh well. Now I can do this." Carefully she wrapped her arm over his chest and rested her head on his shoulder. "Goodnight Issei."

Dream scape

Le Fay found herself in a room in Issei's house. Strangely it appeared to be a room she herself designed. "Okay. So now I feel that this has changed a bit. Since he agreed to me staying here, I am now a part of the dream." She got off the large blue and white bed to go find him when the entire house shook. "Not good."

Issei was in his usual state. Not able to use his balance break and watching those around him perish. However, a small tap on his shoulder pulled his attention.

"L-Le Fay?" He seemed surprised she was there.

"Hmm, this is indeed a mess." She saw exactly why he was terrified to sleep now. "Issei, do you remember coming to see me?"

"Yes. That was three months ago."

"Interesting, very interesting." He snapped her fingers and the entire scene around them paused. "There, that's better." The young witch walked around and assessed everything.

"Why are you here?" Issei interrupted her inspection. "I thought we settled this a while back."

"On the contrary, we never settled it at all. You're still at Sirzechs' mansion in the Underworld and I'm currently studying your dream." She spoke so nonchalantly that it had to be true.

"Alright. What do I do to stop this?"

Oh, I'm not here to help you stop it. I'm here to see if this is a vision or a dream. At the first glance, it appears to be nothing more than a dream." Issei breathed a sigh of relief. "However, judging from the fact you remember visiting me. I can concur that this is closer to a vision of the future. I'm sorry Issei. Chances are that this event will happen when you say it does." Her eyes immediately saw a clock above him. "Or maybe not."

"Maybe not what?" Issei followed her as she approached the device.

"Your clock says that today is July 21, correct?" She asked as she inspected it closely.

"Yea."

"You told me yourself that this event would happen on the 23rd of July. Question is, what changed?"

"I have no idea." Issei sighed as he took in the sight around him.

"I do have a theory. In the old timeline, I never came here because you never came to me. Now, since you told me I could live here, things have changed."

"So, you're saying that because you came to live here, the timetable advanced?"

"Seems about right." Le Fay walked up to him and held him close. "I'm sorry I couldn't do more to help. It's time to wake up now." She leaned in and kissed him with her soft lips.

Real world

Issei woke up to find himself still in the mansion of the Demon lord Sirzechs. A small tug on his arm helped him remember why he was there.

"So, what did you see?"

"You don't remember?" Le Fay asked as she once again put on Issei's red shirt.

"No, I don't. I remember Syn coming in and killing Xenovia and Irina. After that, everything is a blank." He shook his head, this was all too much.

"Yeah magic does that sometimes." Le Fay sat up and began to retrieve her underwear. "Issei. This vision of yours will come true. From what I've seen, it will be July 21st not the 23rd."

"Thank you, Le Fay, for all you've done to help me." He stood and embraced the smaller girl.

"Happy to be of service. I'll go get my things." She ran happily down the hall, forgetting what she was wearing.

"What was she so excited about?" Sirzechs asked as he walked in the room.

Issei looked up to find his brother in law smiling amused. "I told her that she could come live with me and the others. I hope that is alright."

"I see nothing wrong with it. However, I will have to contact Arthur and let him know of the change." Sirzechs grinned as he walked out the door. "Remember Issei, she's still young."

"I know, I know." He smiled back as he thought in his mind. 'The 21st huh. I guess Akeno's gonna have some uninvited birthday guests.'
