Sunday came and with it the talk of the arrival of the guest speaker for third year defense and seventh year history of magic. Lily sighed. She knew who it was but couldn't say it to anyone as Mrs. Allen made her promise not to as they wanted it to be a secret. Lily understood. It would have been all over the news that Harry Potter was going to be a guest speaker at Ilvermorny, and people would be clamoring to come to the school to speak with him or learn from him.

"Ms. Potter?"

Lily turned and saw a seventh year standing there. She was once again engrossed in their study room for a few hours trying to get her homework done. So far, she had kept up on the homework, but it was getting a close thing. Lily said, "What can I do for you?"

The student said, "I was asked to hand you this note."

Lily took the note and thanked the student. Everyone looked at Lily. Lily opened the note and read to herself: Your father's quarters are in room 305 in the east wing. He would like you to join him for lunch. Mrs. Allen

Lily smiled. Glad that her father had made it safely. She said, "Well, I have an appointment. I'll see you guys after lunch if I can."

Renee and Julia nodded their heads as they too had figured out who the guest speaker was. Deidra, Brandy, and Anthony had confused looks on their faces.

Lily made her way to the east wing where the teacher and visitor quarters were and up to the third floor that was mostly for visitors. Lily walked over to room 305, and found her brother waiting. He said, "He sent for you too, huh?"

Lily said, "Yep. Though I kind of figured it out that he was the guest speaker that everyone was talking to after the announcement on Thursday in my defense class."

James said, "Why didn't you tell me?"

The door opened and their stood their father. He said, "Because she wasn't allowed to. Come into my abode, you two. Please shut the door behind you."

Lily went inside first followed by James who shut the door behind him. The quarters were quaint, Lily thought. There was a small kitchenette with a table that normally sat two but had been expanded a bit for three people. There was a bed the far corner with curtains around it, and a couch, desk, and a couple of bookshelves.

Their father led the way over to the couches, and he sat down, and they sat down on the opposite. Harry said, "I would have liked to tell you two in person that I was coming over before it was even announced, but everything was done via email and I couldn't get time off until this morning UK time. I used that to pack and get ready for the portkey. Your mother sends her love. So, what's going on with you two?"

James was telling him about his classes and how things were going for his NEWT studies. After James was done, he said, "Oh, and Lily has a boyfriend."

Lily glared at her brother. Their father raised an eyebrow. He said turning to Lily, "Oh?"

Lily sighed, "His name is Oliver Stanton. He is a half blood. Muggle father, witch mother. Father is a famous baseball player; which Oliver wants to follow in his footsteps. He's a complete gentleman. We had our first date last month on the first village visit."

Harry said, "As long as he doesn't hurt you, I don't mind you having a boyfriend, Lily. So, what else is new with you?"

Lily talked about her studies and how she was working hard to keep up with the course load and her quidditch practices.

Harry said, "If you don't keep up with your studies, please drop the quidditch team. I know how much your studies are for you, Lily. Not to mention, come springtime you will be on the Tennis team as a starter."

Lily nodded. She thought about the coming game the next weekend and her new starting status for that game. She looked down and blushed.

Harry said, "Is there something else?"

Lily said, "Well, you see on Wednesday during practice, our starting seeker was injured enough to the point where he won't be able to play in our first match next weekend."

James' mouth dropped open when Lily said that. James had made the Quidditch team for Wampus, which thankfully he is not playing next weekend.

Harry said, "What happened there?"

Lily went onto explain the circumstances that led to the 'accident.' It left her father incensed, which Lily couldn't blame him for. She was nearly injured due to a little girls' jealous issues.

Harry called for an elf for lunch, and they ordered their lunch, and chatted some more. Harry said, "If you want, Lily, we can go flying this afternoon to help you with some moves?"

Lily said, "I'm good father. Apparently each house has a playbook that is passed down from player to player, captain to captain, and they are self-updating so if a captain adds a new play they want to try out, he adds it to the master copy, and then makes notes on it as we try it in practice."

Harry said, "That is smart. When do you have practice?"

Lily said, "Mondays and Wednesdays."

Harry made a mental note on that. If he didn't have a class that time, he would go down and watch the team practice.

After lunch, Lily said, she needed to get back to studying as she had a test in Ancient Runes that she had the next day she wanted to get some last-minute studying in for.

Harry smiled at his daughter's study habits. Back down in her dorm, Lily sat at her desk. She didn't really want to give up Quidditch. So, she need to rework time management. She pulled out her schedule and planner. Lily tapped her planner so it would expand to be larger. After Quidditch practice, she had approximately an hour and a half of study time before she and her friends would eat supper. Then after supper she had about 3 hours before lights out. Then she had the weekends to use as she saw fit unless she had a Quidditch match for Horned Serpent, which she was required to attend. She began planning out her studies even more.

The next day, talk was being had amongst the third years about their guest speaker. Her father had stayed secluded in his rooms all Sunday, probably going over the lesson plans that Mr. Gooding had for the class for the week. Lily, Renee, and Julia filed into the room and saw Harry leaning up against the desk at the front of the room, arms crossed. He was wearing slacks, and a pull-over shirt with a Wampus emblem on it.

When the tardy bell rang, he flicked his wand at the door, and it shut with a snap. He said, "Welcome, class. I'm your guest speaker for the week. I've reviewed Mr. Gooding's notes, and this class seems to be the more advanced of his seven classes. So, for, this class he has instructed me to just review with you and answer any questions you may have in relation to defense. My name is Harry James Potter, the boy-who-lived and vanquished, husband, father, uncle, cousin, and head Auror in England. I have three children, one of which you all are familiar with…" Lily blushed as all heads turned towards her. She glared at her father. He chuckled before continuing, "So, Mr. Gooding has you working on verbal and non-verbal spells. It's a good thing that you are learning non-verbal casting this early. We didn't learn it until 6th year at Hogwarts. Kind of late in the game in my opinion."

The rest of the day, her father had them reviewing all their spells from the beginning of the year. He even corrected their stances a few times. He then assigned them homework due on Thursday of two pages of typed or written pros and cons of using a nonverbal versus verbal. Lily smiled at her father as she filed out to head to Herbology.

That afternoon at practice, George, and Gregg, who had his arm in a sling, was watching Lily run through the paces of the plays they were going to do this weekend, when her father came out in workout gear. All the Horned Serpent team geeked out at seeing Harry Potter coming out to them, with a Firebolt in hand. George whistled for the team to land. Lily saw her father and groaned. She forgot to mention to the team that he might be coming.

The team landed and stood by George as her father came up to them.

Father said, "Quite a team you have here. Who is the captain?"

George said, "George Morrison, sir. It really is a great pleasure to meet you."

Father smiled and shook his hand. He said turning to Gregg, "I heard about your injury. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to play in the opening match."

Gregg was staring at his idol open mouth. His mouth was moving but words weren't coming out. Lily laughed. Father said, "You with us here?"

Gregg seemed to snap out of it then, and said, "I'm sorry sir. Its just I've idolized you since I started playing seeker and heard that you were the youngest seeker to play on a Hogwarts Quidditch team in a century."

Father said, "I'm glad I'm idolized for Quidditch rather than defeated a dark lord."

Lily saw her father had his firebolt with him and how he was dressed.

George said, "Would you like to train with us, Mr. Potter?'

Father said, "If you would permit me to?"

Gregg groaned. Of all times he had to be too injured to play, it had to be now. Stupid Monica and her jealousy issues.

The team was soon back in the air with Harry playing on the reserve team opposite his daughter. It wasn't the first time the two of them played against each other and wouldn't be the last.

At 430, the practice ended. George gathered everyone up, and said, "Well done team! Now remember no practice on Wednesday! We are going to kick Thunderbird's butt! We are one! We are Horned Serpent!"

Everyone raised their brooms in salute and dispersed. George walked up to Harry and said, "I was wondering if I could talk tactics with you, sir?"

Harry nodded.

The rest of the week went by in a flurry for Lily and her friends. For once, Lily had all her homework done by the weekend except for the homework on from Friday. On Saturday morning, Lily dressed in a simple pair of blue jeans and a t-shirt. After tying back her hair into a ponytail, Lily got up and went over to Audrey's room.

Audrey came out and said, "I'm fine this time, Lily."

They had compiled a list of fudge that the two of them liked and Lily agreed to buy it. Audrey did request some chocolate from the Hershey store that was in the village. Lily smiled.

Up at the school, Lily waved at Oliver and climbed into a cart with Renee, Julia, and Brandy. Deidra, Anthony, Qiana, and Timothy were in the cart behind them. At the village square, they all gathered and began planning on what shops to hit. The girls wanted to go to the department store to see what they may have for the Halloween dance that was once again going to happen. This year it was 1st and 2nd years, 3rd and 4th years, and the final dance was for 5th through 7th years. The same rules applied as before. Oliver had already asked Lily to the dance; which Lily had fully accepted. So, the boys split off from the girls as they didn't want to spend time in the department store.

Inside the department store, they all went directly to the dresses. Lily saw immediately one that she fell in love with. It was an ankle-length lilac dress and it had ruching across the bodice. Lily found one in her size and went to the fitting room. After she stepped into the dress, she looked at the full-length mirror. She gasped. Lily could hardly believe it was herself looking back at her.

"Lily? Everything alright."

"Yeah, I'll be out in a minute."

Quickly changing back into her clothes, Lily exited the fitting room. Deidra and Brandy both were standing there in their dresses and trying to figure out if they liked them.

Deidra said, "We don't get to see you in it?" She then saw Lily's expression. "Uh oh."

Renee came out of the fitting room then in her dress and said, "What do you…" She saw Lily's face. "Lily?"

Lily said, "When I tried on the dress…. I…"

Renee said, "Ladies, we need to hurry and get somewhere private."

The others nodded and they quickly found their dresses and purchased them. They then went to the IlverShire and asked for a private room. The hostess quirked an eyebrow at them and nodded. She showed them how to start the privacy charms. Renee thanked the hostess and tipped her. Brandy guided Lily to a seat.

Everyone sat around her. Renee and Julia sat beside her. Renee said, "What happened? Did you have another vision?"

Lily nodded. "I was probably about 20, and I was getting married." Everyone gasped. "It was beautiful. You all were there, and it was on the Potter Manor grounds. What has me so shaken up is who the groom was."

Renee said, "Well, just because you had the vision doesn't mean it will happen, though. I remember Grandfather mentioning his father having these. Looked at what happened with your mother and Aunt Petunia. They were put up for adoption because he thought his vision would come true and didn't want the house dying with a possible attack, so they sent him away."

Lily nodded. Renee's talk with her calmed her down. They went back to their shopping, stopping back in at the IlverShire for lunch. Lily decided to head back up to the school about three o'clock. Her father had already left the night before. Lily was kind of bummed that he couldn't stay for the match, but she understood. He had to be back at the Ministry Monday morning.

Lily put the purchases she made for Audrey on Audrey's bed, and then went back to her room and closed the door. She brought out her vision journal, and wrote down everything she remembered in the vision, even the smallest details. After writing it down, Lily felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. After showering, Lily laid down on her bed, and read a book while snacking.

At fifteen to six, a knock came at her door. Lily opened her eyes and looked up. She had fallen asleep reading. Lily stood up and straightened her clothes. On the other side was Julia and Renee.

Renee said, "We've been trying to get a hold of you for the past ten minutes."

Lily said, "I fell asleep."

Julia said, "I told Renee that. Audrey let us in to wake you. She couldn't even rouse you."

Lily blushed. She said, "Supper?"

The next morning, everyone was talking about the first quidditch match of the year. Lily was so nervous; her stomach was doing flip flops. The game was scheduled for 10 am. She was sitting with her team in their uniforms.

Down at the pitch they did their warmup exercises. They then headed the locker rooms and shed their warmup clothes, well the starting team did. George came over to Lily and said, "Alright there Lily?"

Lily said, "I'm so nervous. I feel like I'm going to throw up."

Everyone chuckled at that. Gregg said, "Trust us. We all felt the same during our quidditch debut. Just take a few calming breaths, go out there and show Ilvermorny what a Potter can do!"

Lily smiled. They were soon called out by names:

"And making her Ilvermorny Quidditch debut, at seeker for the Serpents, is the one, the only, Lily Potter!"

The crowd cheered as Lily zoomed out on her broom. Lily rose above the teams like George told her to do. Only enter play when she thought she needed to and keep an eye out for the snitch. The match was fast and sometimes brutal. Lily saw why George didn't want her amid the game. Thunderbird were being ruthless. The score was quickly 240 to 100. and it was then that Lily saw the snitch. She raced after it, with Thunderbird's seeker following suit. Lily quickly caught the snitch and the whistle blew ending the game. Lily landed beside her teammates as they were all staring at the score. 250-250. It was tie. George was mouthing words, but nothing was coming out.

Gregg and the rest of the reserves came over and hugged her. Mrs. Rumpke was reviewing the game in a monitor. It was a tense few minutes. When Mrs. Rumpke came out, everyone held their breath.
