Time resumed to its normal flow as Kirigakure fired an arrow straight from a legend from a legendary bow.

Zen reactivated his Time Acceleration skills his Mana growing back to full in a few instances, after getting so low that Extreme Mana Control kicked in, giving him a feeling of a second try.

Looking up at her slowed down form for just a moment, he activated Negator, right before she caught up to him and would've used the skill herself.

Her Mana was locked off, if only for an instance, and he planned to use that moment in it's full opportunity.

He activated a skill he hadn't yet, Coin Flip, and made a crazy bet. "Heads is I get a 75% boost to all Mana based skills for the next 20 seconds, Tails is she gets 50% defense for the next 30 seconds." After he called out the flip, a coin appeared in his hand.

He flipped the coin, and after spinning and spinning and spinning in the air, it gladly landed on heads, giving Zen a buff.

Zen raised a hand into the air, Black Dragon's Bomb suddenly appearing in the sky, almost like a sun appearing out of nowhere.

While the original casting of the skill didn't cost anything extra, Zen continued to fuel the attack far past it's original casting, causing it to grow bigger and bigger.

Kirigakure activated her own skills, taking away the massive advantage Zen had. She wasted no time and launched herself straight at him, a demonic screech erupted from her mask.

"I'll kill you with this one attack!" She roared, her finger nails growing into horrific talons as she closed in in him, going for his neck.

"I don't think you will." Zen challenged, his skin growing black scales, not unlike a Dragon's. "You won't even pierce my skin!" Zen taunted, smirking as he saw Kirigakure get visibly frustrated.

[You have obtained the skill, Dragon Scales.]

Zen didn't even spend the time looking at the skill, just activating it further than he already had.

"I will win, because I have to wake up my mother, and I won't let anyone stop me!" Zen yelled, his conviction clearer than it had ever been before.

Kirigakure hesitated for a moment, and that one moment was all Zen needed.

With him so much as willing it to, the massive ball of energy dissapeared from the sky, and a much smaller ball appeared in his hand.

Zen leapt up at Kirigakure, pulling her an infinitesimal distance, but also just far enough to bring his hand towards her face.

"Like I said," He began, right before his skill went off, "I'm gonna win." He finished, his skill exploding directly in Kirigakure's face.

A full light show went off in her face, effectively bringing a satisfied smile onto Zen's face.

Nix swiped at her enemies with a strong swing, clearing her space for a moment to look to see Zen seeming to land his final blow onto Kirigakure. A smile came onto her face as she saw it happen.

"Go, My King!" Baruka yelled, slashing up Kenpachi, Erza, and Minato in one fell swoop.

"Kick her ass, Shadow Monarch!" Annie yelled happily, a proud smile on her face as she continued to destroy Gon and Killua with no real signs of remorse.

"Amazing Job, as always, my King." Igris traded blows with Ornstein, slashing his brother up, only for him to reform. "The only thing is... this is too simple." Igris noticed, easily parrying his brother before slicing him up again.

Leonardo was still a support knight, and relied on Annie to help him defeat his enemies. "Their weakness is their heads! Crush them Annie!" He yelled out, causing her to punt Gon and Killua a short distance away, in order to protect Leo's behind. She cleanly and quickly defeated the knights, giving Leo more time to seek out his enemies weaknesses.

"Boom." Zen knew Kirigakure wouldn't go down so easily, so even when he spent a massive amount of Mana, he activated Empty Time one more time, and sledgehammered Kirigakure's frozen body into the ground.

With the final bit of his Mana, he summoned two Gungnirs and threw them at Kirigakure, effectively bringing her HP to zero.

Zen deactivated Empty Time and fell to the ground, seeing a few drops that looked interesting.

"But like, for real, where are you Kirigakure?" Zen asked, causing for the real Kirigakure to appear in front of Zen, alive and well.

"So you knew?" She grinned, her transformed mask still on her face. "You knew that this thing was just an embodiment of my fears?" Her grin grew wider, all the while as Zen just nonchalantly nodded as he picked up his new items.

[New skill named Vasto Lorde obtained.]

[Awakened Kirigakure Obtained.]

"Yeah. It was kinda obvious. The only Shadows over there are the ones that have some semblance of doubt in me, all because I had doubt in myself. And besides, you've never had your mask on during a full conversation." Zen hummed, causing for Kirigakure to chuckle.

"I guess this did help me though. I truly feel as if I can defeat whatever comes in my way, no matter who tries to defeat me." Zen chuckled, truly feeling free from his own confines of doubt.

"Now, come back to me, my Shadows." Zen ordered with a grin, causing for his Shadows to suddenly stop fighting, all of them seeming to come back to their senses.

"What happened? Were we fighting?" Gon suddenly snapped back to life, asking Annie questions innocently.

"You guys all had doubt in the King, so you were all essentially mind controlled." She turned away, not wanting then to see her obvious smile from the King's cool display.

"Don't bother Annie, we can all tell that you're happy." Erza noted, causing for Killua and Gon to start to laugh. Annie's face went up into a blush, but she couldn't even refute the comment, not wanting her embarrassment to be shown.

"What's next?" Kirigakure asked, Zen standing up after gaining his drops.

"Well firstly... Vasto Lorde." Zen summoned up his mask, feeling like the boosts were better than ever, if only for a more expensive price.

"And... what is this 'awakened Kirigakure'?" Zen asked, only for Kirigakure to shrug in response. "I dunno, try it out." Zen listened to her advice, and all the sudden, as he tried to resummon her he felt a new presence over his own.

He extended a hand and saw Kirigakure's softly floating over his own, almost like she was protecting him.

"Let's try... this." Zen summoned two Gungnirs, and when he thought about summoning two more, he felt two more appear in Kirigakure's hands.

"Fire." He spoke before throwing the spears, and alongside his own, Kirigakure's coming out as well.

"This is great. Next thing, killing a Dragon." Zen grinned, his Shadows coming back to him.
