two updates in the same week and not several months apart, i'm probably more amazed than you are.

As you rolled over and wiped the sleep from your eyes you realized two things, one you're definitely not in your bed and two, Cloud is definitely shirtless. You were a bit surprised at first but you haven't felt this comfortable in a long time, though you were a bit relived to find that this time you're fully clothed. You smiled to yourself as you remembered the previous night. After a few heated kisses the two of you just relaxed in his room and spent time together. You didn't even remember falling asleep.

You carefully rolled over to face Cloud, he was still sound asleep he was laying on his stomach with his arms wrapped around his pillow, the blanket only covered half of his back and his gravity defying hair was still perfect. You inched a bit closer to him but still kept your distance and closed your eyes, a little more sleep wouldn't hurt.

You nearly gasped in surprise as Cloud pulled you into his arms, he was now on his back with you on top him. "Cloud what are you doing?" you asked once you were able to regain your composure.

"Getting comfortable" he replied as he laid back, perfectly content. He had one hand resting on the small of your back and the other supporting his head. You relaxed and rested your head on his chest and smiled as you heard his steady heartbeat. The two of you stayed silent for a few moments before Cloud broke the silence. 'i'm glad you stayed." he mumbled, it was barely audible.

You shifted just enough to look up at his face, it was such a strange thing for him to say. This was nothing like the last time you woke up in Cloud's bed. "Cloud is there something bothering you?" you asked.

He just shook his head and held you a little tighter before saying, "I'm just happy" Cloud replied.

"So am I" you replied. You relaxed again, resting your head on his chest trying to subtly admire his muscles. Though Cloud's heartbeat distracted you, at first it was steady but then it was racing almost as if he's nervous about something. You were confused but ultimately decided not to ask him about it, he'll tell you if he wants to.

Though your questions were answered when Cloud spoke.

"Autumn?" he questions suddenly.

"Hmm?'

"Last night…" He paused a moment, "I wanted to ask you something else when I asked to kiss you" Cloud finally said. You just looked at him curiously waiting for him to continue. "Last night was nice and waking up this morning…" he tried off with a smile on his face. "Would you want to wake up like this again?" he asked.

"I could definitely get used to this" you replied cuddling into his chest. That seemed to give Cloud the confidence he needed

"Autumn, I wanted to ask if you if you would be mine."

"Are you still asking?" You questioned. "Or did I miss my chance?"

"You didn't miss your chance" Cloud mumbled as he pinched the bridge of his nose, you knew this was hard for him. The chemistry between the two of you is undeniable and you've understood his feelings from the beginning but the baggage from your pasts always weighed heavily on his emotions and decisions, so you never wanted to push him, but maybe just this once a little push wouldn't be a bad thing.

You moved so you leaning on Cloud's chest so you could look into his piercing blue eyes. "Cloud would you like to be mine?" You asked with a small hopeful smile on your face.

Without a word, Cloud gently placed a hand on your cheek and caressed your skin for a moment before pulling you into a passionate kiss which you gladly returned. The kiss only lasted a few seconds but it was wonderful. When the two of you parted, you remained close, only a few centimeters away, you stared into each other eyes.

As much as you wanted this moment to last you were not going to let Cloud get away without answering you.

"Was that a yes?" you teased. Cloud went to pull you into another kiss but you stopped him. "Oh no Cloud Strife, I need an answer" you told him. "Do you want to be mine?" you asked again but continued, "Do you want to be my boyfriend?"

"I want to be your boyfriend, I love you Autumn Knight, I want to be by your side forever" Cloud replied. He doesn't say much but when he does he makes it count.

You couldn't help but smile to yourself for a moment, "I love you too Cloud Strife." And just like that, you felt lighter, like a weight you've been carrying around all this time has finally been lifted. Lost in thought, you were surprised when you suddenly found yourself on your back, you nearly gasped in shock. "Cloud what are you…." you trailed off as you got lost in his eyes. He just looked so genuinely happy. He used one arm to support himself so he could lean over you without crushing you and caressed your face with his free hand, before pulling you into a passionate kiss. You found yourself tangling your fingers in his still perfect, gravity defying hair as you tried to get closer to him. You weren't sure how long this lasted but as all good things do, it came to a sudden end with a knock on the door.

"Cloud? Are you up yet?" Riley asked from the other side of the door.

Cloud stayed silent for a moment, until you jabbed his chest and gave him a look. "Morning Riley" Cloud called out as he sighed and rolled over onto his back.

"Have you seen Autumn?" he asked, you nearly gasped, this is going to get real embarrassing real fast. When no answer came, Riley rambled. "Tifa told me to wake her up, but I can't find her. Do you think maybe she went out for a walk…" the list continued on and on while you and Cloud had a silent conversation trying to figure out how to answer. When suddenly the door opened.

You jumped in surprise, pulling the blanket up to cover yourself, why you weren't sure as everyone has seen you in your pajamas, as the all the kids piled into the room.

"Cloud found her" Marlene accused, sometimes she understands way too much for her age. "Papa says you're not suppose to sleep with someone unless you're married."

"Yeah ok that's definitely not what Barret says" Cloud mumbled under his breath, you jabbed him in the chest again.

"Sis why are you in here?" Riley asked, though his tone was strange, he's been spending too much time with Marlene.

"Where's Cloud's shirt?" Denzel pointed out innocently.

You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose, before getting a brilliant idea. "Oh I hear Tifa calling me" you announced as you stood up from the bed, throwing the blanket over Cloud's face.

He struggled for a few moments, its seems he finally met his match your wit and cotton sheets, because it took him way too long to get out of it, "Wait" he said, "Don't go…." you couldn't hear what came next because you were already out of the room and halfway down the hallway. Theirs no way you're having this conversation with the kids right now. Though you did feel a little bad sacrificing Cloud to the curious kids.

You headed into your room and quickly grabbed the nearest clothes before heading into the bathroom to start your day with a shower. Once you were finished you dressed in high-waisted jeans and a loose black crop top. You didn't bother to dry your hair before heading downstairs where you found a very annoyed looking Cloud sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by the kids and Tifa looking annoyed at him. You tried to suppress a laugh, you really should laugh, he's only in this situation because you abandoned him. But your sudden entrance didn't go unnoticed.

Cloud almost instantly looked up when you entered, his expression changed from annoyed to an almost childish wonder when he saw you. You could help but smile at him.

"Well you two look happy" Tifa commented absently before turning back and glaring at Cloud.

"What happened?" you asked curiously. Cloud just remained silent.

"Yeah Cloud what happened?" TIfa sneered. He just shrugged his shoulder as Tifa sighed in annoyance.

"Cloud tried to lie to us about where babies come from" Riley spoke up.

"Did he now?" you asked.

"Yeah but I called him out on it" Riley said proudly, "But now they have questions" He gestured to Marlene, Denzel and Skylar. Your face fell as the realization set in and Cloud quietly snickered- he planned this.

"You are the doctor" Tifa teased.

And so you spent the next hour or so answering all the kids questions about where babies come from. You tried to answer them as scientifically as possible to avoid the awkwardness of the subject which also deterred the kids from asking to many questions. When your explanation was finally finished the kids ran off to amuse themselves and you leaned back in your chair absolutely exhausted and its only late morning. Cloud reached out and held your hand in an attempt to comfort you, you glanced at him, a soft smile on your face.

Tifa looked back and forth between the two of you for a moment. "wait a second…" she tailed off.

"Yeah Tifa?" you questioned innocently struggling to keep a straight face. You couldn't help but blush when Cloud suddenly kissed your hand before pulling you onto his lap.

"You did it?" Tifa asked Cloud as her began excitement building, then turned to you, "He did? didn't he"

"Actually he tried not to use words so I had to ask him" You admitted.

"Cloud" Tifa scolded before turning back to you, "I'm so happy for you two" She nearly squealed, that ungodly sound should never come out of Tifa, you expected this from Alyssa but not from her.

"Please never make that sound again" Cloud mumbled. Tifa just glared at him as you laughed about how they bicker so much.

As Tifa grilled you for all of the details Cloud just held you close. You tried to tell her that there wasn't much to tell, the two of you just kissed and talked and slept, it wasn't anything complex, just two people sharing a moment and enjoying each other's company. Tifa kept gasping at it hoping there was something more, maybe she thought Cloud is secretly a hopeless romantic but you didn't mind or care, you like him for who is: a soft spoken, deeply caring man, who has a surprisingly witty and cute side.

Shivering from a sudden rush of cold air, you found that Cloud had stretched the collar of your shirt to the side, exposing your shoulder, before leaning down to kiss it.

"Cloud its a shoulder" you told him remembering how your conversation from yesterday started.

"Its your shoulder" he replied before kissing your shoulder again before moving to your neck. At this point Tifa let out a sigh of annoyance before mumbled something about this being way to cute and intimate for her and excused herself.

Once she was out of the door you shifted to face Cloud. "You did that to get her to leave didn't you?" you asked.

"I wanted you all to myself" he replied before pulling you into a kiss.

You had been tracking him down for a while, you had suspected that he would turn up again at some point but why did it have to be now? He couldn't have found her this quickly, you couldn't even find her this quickly; and now that you have her back in your life you would do anything to prevent this meeting from happening.

"Vincent?" Alyssa asked suddenly, you shook your head, you were so lost in your thoughts you completely forgot that you had allowed her to drag you shopping through this weird tropical outdoor market. "You seem distracted, is everything ok?" she asked.

You just nodded silently, you didn't want Alyssa to worry. She gave you a skeptical look before shrugging, "well alright, you'd tell me if it was important anyway" she said as she shoved yet another bag of assorted fruits into your arms. You nodded again, no reason to get her worried, you weren't even sure if he found her yet anyway.

"You know Vinny, its not that I don't love having you around but when are you heading back to Tifa's?" She asked.

"Tonight" you replied, originally you had wanted to stick around but with the new information you received you knew you had to get back to Edge, Autumn needed your protection more, at least for the time being. A flower vender gave you a weird look, you were use it, you really do not fit in this tropical resort town, not that you minded.

She nodded thoughtfully. "Will you invite them all to come visit soon? Theirs going to be a festival next month the kids would love" She mused, before placing a hand over her stomach, "besides I want to tell everyone the good news in person" she added with a smile.

You just nodded again.

"You are the worst at small talk" she said jabbing you in the chest.

It took a lot of convincing but Cloud finally went to complete his deliveries. He only had a few around town and for the most part this week is pretty slow for him, thankfully Pop threw some work his way to make up for it. Though he already has a few deliveries and pick up's in Kalm for next week when you plan bring Skylar home and then go to Junon to meet with Dr Winters.

Tifa opened the bar early but it was pretty slow so you were sitting at the bar working on the inventory so all Tifa will have to do is call the suppliers and place the order. Jacob and Alex were in their usual place and you were exchanging pleasantries.

"Is Tifa gonna keep my whiskey in stock?" Jacob asked.

"Of course" you replied.

"I'd be out of business if I didn't" Tifa laughed as she brought over their usual drinks.

Business picked up a bit and you were going to stop doing the inventory to help out but Tifa stopped you, "Stay, I got it" Tifa said as she waived for you to stay.

"I got it don't worry" you told her as you stood up.

"I'm gonna have to get used to doing this by myself again" She commented as she walked off to take care of a customer.

"Wait what?" Alex asked, "Is our little Autumn going away?"

"No, I'll still be around" you replied. "I'm going to open a medical clinic, I just need to figure out the logistics."

"Which you could be doing instead of trying to help me" Tifa chimed in as she returned.

"I can't even do much yet, I need to speak with my old mentors" you told her.

"Well I may have some connections for you, I am a building manager, I can help you with finding the location and getting the building permits" Alex offered.

"That would be great, thank you so much" you replied.

Even when the bar got busy, Tifa refused to allow you to help. Most of the regulars were here, you recognized a few of the mechanics and the group of friends that come at least once a week. There was a man with dark hair nursing a beer who looked be in his late 30's sitting at the far end of the bar. You couldn't figure out why but you just got a bad vibe from him, you were suddenly thankful Tifa refused to allow you to help tonight. Though you didn't linger on your thoughts of unease for too long as Cloud finally came home.

"You're a bit late, did you get more deliveries?" you asked as Cloud kissed your cheek.

He shook his head, "I picked up some work at Pop's" he replied.

"That explains the grease" you pointed out the large grease stain on his cheek with a soft laugh.

"Cloud you're gross go wash up" Tifa ordered as she came back carrying a few empty glasses.

Cloud just gave you a look seeking help, but you shook your head, "she's right, you even got grease in your hair" you told him. He just rolled his eyes, kissed your forehead and then headed up stairs.

"I never though he'd be that openly affectionate" Tifa mumbled more to herself, "But he's never looked happier" she told you, you just smiled.

You tried to focus on your research, you needed to get permits and furniture, equipment to run tests and sterilize instruments… you felt like you were being watch, you discretely looked up and nearly gasped in shock to find both Jacob and Alex staring at you with wide eyes.

"Whats with the look?" you asked a bit taken aback.

"What was that all about missy?" Jacob asked.

"Yeah when did this happen?" Alex added. you just gave them a confused look.

"You and your big moody friend" Jacob prompted.

"Oh.. well this morning" you replied putting your research to the side. You knew you were in for a long conversation; the only thing Alex and Jacob love more than their whiskey is some good gossip.
