The Legend of the Divine Knights
In the outskirts of the city a blizzard is seen overflowing the forest, and in that forest was a tall figure carrying a boy on their back as he walks through the forest. The boy was covered in a warm blanket which protected him from the blizzard, as he slightly opened his eyes and saw a glimpse of the figure who was carrying him, but couldn't make their face out.
The boy was then placed on the ground, and that's when he saw the figure in front of him but couldn't see their face. The figure then spoke some words to the boy, but he couldn't make out their voice and words.
The boy then fell into a deep sleep and then…
RING, RING, RING! RING, RING, RING!
Inside of one's bedroom an alarm was going off which caused a boy who was sleeping on his bed to slightly wake up as he reached out to it and managed to turn off the alarm.
The boy sits up as he yawns and stretches out his arms, as his face was now seen.
The boy was around 9 years old with short black hair and sky blue eyes. This is Kousaka Yuuma.
"Another dream of that day…" Yuuma mutters as he remembers that dream. He sometimes wondered who that figure was and what his words were that day. "Well, I probably shouldn't worry about it. I should get ready for school."
Yuuma soon got out of bed to get ready for school today.
"I'm heading out!" Yuuma said as he left his home and walked down the street.
He is now wearing a school uniform which consists of a white shirt and a red tie, and has white shorts with brown shoes. Yuuma was also wearing a bracelet, it had a black lace with a wing metal piece with a red jewel in the middle of it. He was also carrying his backpack on his back.
"Yuuma-kun!"
Yuuma smiles before he turns around and sees a girl running to him as she waved at him.
The girl was the same age as him, who had brown hair tied in high twintails with pink ribbons tied around them and violet eyes. She was wearing a female version of his school uniform, with a long skirt that reached above her ankles and has a red ribbon tied in front of her shirt.
This is Takamachi Nanoha.
"Hey, Nanoha! Good morning!" Yuuma said as Nanoha stopped in front of him.
"You too." Nanoha said as she smiled at him and he smiled back at her.
Then two of them began to walk to school together as they talked along the way.
Yuuma and Nanoha first met when they were five years old. Both of their families were close neighbors and good friends for over 20 years, and naturally the two of them became good friends as well as they grew up together.
But little do they know, both Yuuma and Nanoha were about to experience an event that will change both of their lives forever.
After school and as they were walking back home together, Yuuma, Nanoha and their friends had discovered an injured ferret and they quickly took it to a nearby veterinary clinic.
But when it was night time, they both heard a voice that was calling out for help.
Both Yuuma and Nanoha immediately ran out of their homes as they followed the voice, that's when they arrived at the clinic where they left the ferret and saw it was being chased by a monster.
That's when they discovered that the ferret was able to talk like an actual human, which surprised them at first.
That's when they discovered that Yuuma's bracelet and the ferret's jewel began to light up. That's when the ferret told them they were able to use magic, which confused them at first and followed what the ferret instructed them to do.
That is when both the ferret's jewel and Yuuma's bracelet were called out by both Nanoha and Yuuma respectively.
"Set Up! Raising Up!"
"Set Up! Homura!"
That is when both jewels said.
"Standby, ready." Raising Heart said with a female's voice.
"Hai, master!" Homura said with a male's voice.
That is when Nanoha and Yuuma change into new clothes, and wield a weapon in their hand.
Yuuma looks down at the outfit he was wearing, he was wearing a red jacket with black lines from the shoulders down on his sleeves with a furry collar around his neck with a golden bird symbol on the back, with a black shirt and navy blue pants and brown boots with metal pieces on the front.
Yuuma then saw the sword that was originally his bracelet in his hand. It was a taichi, the grip was colored in a light purple color with a yellow part in the middle and has a red string attached on the bottom, and behind the guard on the is a pointed edge with a hole and has a red hole in it.
"What the…?" Yuuma mutters as he and Nanoha are surprised by their new change in clothes and the items in their hand.
During their latest hunt for another Jewel Seed, both Yuuma and Nanoha encounter a girl.
The girl was their age, she had long blonde hair tied in twintails with black ribbons and has red eyes. She was wearing black clothing which consists of a sleeveless shirt with a whtie skirt, gloves and wears black shoes with high end socks that reach to her thighs.
She also wields a staff that is similar to Nanoha's Raising Heart, which resembles a black halberd with a yellow jewel.
That is when the girl attacks them as her staff changes into a scythe with an energy blade.
During another hunt for a Jewel Seed, Yuuma, Nanoha, and the blond girl known as Fate and her familiar Alph were trapped in what appears to be a dungeon labyrinth.
Yuuma was separated from Nanoha, but when himself was trapped in Fate and Alph.
While he was on edge of the both of them, they were able to work together and manage to beat the monster that kept them trapped, that is when they heard Nanoha's scream echoing throughout the labyrinth.
That is when they arrived at the exit and that's when they saw Nanoha unconscious on the floor as a giant headless mechanical knight stands above her.
"Nanoha!" Yuuma shouted as the large knight steps forward to her.
Seeing Nanoha in the state she was in, Yuuma felt his heart pulsing in a strong beat as he placed his hand on his chest.
"Rrrrraaggghhhh!" Yuuma roared as he raised his head as a red and black aura surrounded his body as his black hair turned white and his sky blue eyes turned into a crimson red.
Yuuma had ceased his roaring as he glared at the giant-headless knight that attacked his friend, while Fate and Alph were surprised by his change in appearance.
"W-What the heck…?" Alph mutters in shock.
Yuuma soon brings out Homura, as its jewel was now black, and charges at the mechicle knight so fast that both Fate and Alph weren't able to see him move, and Yuuma lands a powerful slash on it which forces the headless knight to stumble back.
After a pillar of light had appeared in the middle of the sea Yuuma, Nanoha, Fate, Yuuno, and Alph were dragged inside of it.
That is when they found themselves in another dimension filled with stone bridges that only go forward with monsters on them.
Working together they were able to beat the monsters and had arrived at the final gate and when it opened a portal appeared in it, and they walked inside of it.
That is when they found themselves in a grey wasteland with a dark and stormy sky, and saw over thousands of blades stabbed into the ground.
That it was when it appeared.
They soon saw a dark shadow appearing in front of them as it raised and took the form of a giant creature.
The giant shadow had armor shaped body parts with pointed finger tips and had shadowy wings on its back with a glowing green head and a spot on its chest.
This is the Ashen Power, Loa Erebonius.
The giant shadow roars at them, but Yuuma and the others stand their ground against it as he, Nanoha, and Fate bring out and ready their weapons as Yuuno and Alph assume their stance to give their support.
Shortly after they had defeated Loa Erebonius, a bright light surrounds Yuuma and his friends and the next thing they know they woke up back in the final room with Lindy, Chrono, and Amy watching over them, but Fate and Alph were missing.
After being told the potential crisis had been averted, Yuuma, Nanoha, and Yuuno sighed in relief.
That's when they notice that the large gate begins to open by itself, and to everyone's surprise that's when they saw what was behind it.
"W-What in the goddess...?" Chrono mutters.
Yuuma blinked when he saw it.
Behind the gate was a giant mechanical knight.
The knight appeared to be 7-meters tall and was on its right knee and hand with its left arm placed on its left leg.
The knight was in an ashen-color with black pieces and has golden markings around its body, it also has an upside down triangle piece on its chest with three black jewels on it, and the knight has a blank lens around its body.
After storming Precia's fortress along with Fate and Alph, they soon encounter a Magic Knight that was sent by Precia herself.
They had some trouble but they were able to bring the giant Magic Knight to its knees, but to their shock and dismay the Knight roared as it stood back up and grew two more arms and now wields a sword in each of them.
"It grew arms?!" Alph said in shock.
"No way...It still has more power?" Yuuno said.
That is when they heard Precia's laughter echoing throughout the room.
"Hahaha! Simply, incredible! The power of a single Magic Knight is beyond compared! Now, kill them and make them suffer!" Precia ordered the Magic Knight.
The Magic Knight slowly marches to them.
Yuuma turns to their friends and sees they were beginning to tire after using so much magic energy to bring the Magic Knight to its knees.
Yuuma tightly closes his eyes as he opens it and glares at the Magic Knight.
"No choice...I have to use it…" Yuuma mutters as his red and black aura appears around his body which surprised their friends but worried both Nanoha and Fate.
"Yuuma, no!" Nanoha told him.
"If you used that power in the state you're in…" Fate said.
But their pleas were left ignored as Yuuma was ready to use his Ogre Form but…
"DOST THOU DESIRE THE POWER?" A voice in his mind asked.
"Wha…?" Yuuma said as he wondered what that voice was before he found himself in a dark space with darkness all around him.
"IF THEE AND I ARE OF ONE ACCORD. A COVENANT CAN BE MADE. THOU HAST BUT TO CALL OUT MY NAME. ONE IN WHOM DWELLS THE FLAME...AWAKENER..."
'This voice...it feels so familiar and so warm. And a name...that's right, I remember that name, like I've always known it.' Yuuma thought and on instinct he called out the name that was engraved in his mind.
"Heed my call…" Yuuma said as he clenched his hand in front of him and raised it up in the air. "Valimar, the Ashen Knight!"
Beneath the building where Yuuma and his friends found it, the ash-colored knight somehow responded to Yuuma's call, as the crystals on its chest, joints, and eyes light up in a cyan color, like it has awoken from a long slumber.

Yeah, I know how it looks. Giant robots in a Nanoha story, but this was actually in the back of my mind for a while and I guess I was a little inspired by Ashbel Longhart's Megaman story with Nanoha.
And plus I'm a big fan of the Legend of Heroes series, with Cold steel being my favorite series.
