Blueeyeddevil06, thank you for being my beta.
"Useless!" Rumple slammed down another book.
Belle looked exasperated, "Keep looking. These books are full of light magic. There must be something in them that can help!"
Emma took another one off the stack and searched through it. "Do you have something like this?" She pointed at a drawing of a magician's hat. "It might be able to contain the dark magic."
He took the book from her hands and nodded. "I stole that from the Apprentice. It's in my vault."
"Of course you did," Regina scowled.
"The important thing is that I have what we need." He pointed out not caring about her attitude. "I'll be back with the hat."
Emma took the book back and showed Regina and Tink. "I have an idea for a spell. I'm hoping to combine some spells I learned. All of that magic theory Regina taught me should come in handy." She looked at Belle. "I can't believe he wants to be rid of the dark magic."
Belle gave her a slight smile, "I was shocked too."
Rumple returned with the hat and held it up for everyone to see. "What's the next part of your plan, Emma?"
"I'm going to need to remove your heart." She tried to make it sound like it wasn't a big deal.
"No! I won't trust you with my heart." He was suddenly furious.
Belle intervened. "Do you trust me with your heart?" He simply nodded. She then turned and looked at Emma. "Is there a way you can make it so that I can remove his heart and hold it for the spell?"
"Yes," Regina answered for her. "It's an easy spell to cast. Emma knows how." She looked at Rumple. "Will that make you feel better?"
He nodded, "It will."
Emma cast a spell on Belle's hand and then told Rumple to lay down on the floor. She set the hat down next to her and nodded to Belle.
Belle then reached into Rumple's chest and pulled out his heart. It was an oily black color, and tears rushed to her eyes to see how dark his heart was.
Tinkerbell's eyes widened, "You're really evil!"
"Shut up, Tink." Rumple shot out.
Emma placed her hand over his heart, lifted the magician's hat, and said, "Here goes, something." She then spoke her spell, "No longer in darkness, now in the light. Once drowning in hate, and now in love. Bind this power in the falcon's chamber. Never dying, but contained. There forever to remain."
Belle's tears fell and as she watched the darkness being pulled from Rumple's heart. "I love you," she whispered as a tear fell from her cheek and landed on his now pristine heart. Suddenly his heart glowed, and when the light faded, it contained an image of a perfect rose in bloom.
"What happened?" She asked as she looked at Emma.
"True love," was her reply. "You can put his heart back now. I think with your love, he'll be okay." She then looked at the dagger devoid of his name. "It worked."
Belle pushed his heart back in his chest, and he looked up at her in wonder. His skin was no longer a sick beastly color. She smiled and kissed him. He was entirely man now, and she felt the warm embrace of his arms.
"Rumple, it worked." She wept on his shoulder.
Emma smiled down at them and then felt the hat shake. The dagger on the desk then started to rattle. The hat then fell from her hands, and the dark magic of the Dark One curse surged out of the hat. It filled the room with dark inky tendrils of swirling malevolent magic. It seemed to expand and then hesitate. It then instantly rushed for Regina.
"No!" Emma cried out.
Regina looked at the approaching darkness in terror and then saw the determination in Emma's eyes as she ran to her. "Emma, there has to be another way!"
"There isn't. You worked too hard to have your happiness destroyed." She looked at the dark magic and tried not to recoil in fear. She couldn't let Regina be taken over by darkness again.
Killian was horrified by what he was hearing and seeing, "Emma, No! Please! Don't do this!" He watched her reach her hand out to the darkness.
Emma looked in his eyes, "I love you."
He pulled her back away from the magic as she kept trying to reach out to get it. "I won't lose you." He pulled her to look him in the eyes. "I'm supposed to keep you on course. Darkness is not your path!"
"What do you want me to do?! I can't let it have her." She looked at him with tears in her eyes.
He wiped her tears away and kissed her cheek. "Reach out then, Swan. But don't think you're doing it alone."
He stood facing her with his hand stretched out alongside hers. The tendrils of darkness wrapped around both of their arms. "It's just us, Swan. You and me." He then kissed her desperately as the darkness tried to take them over thoroughly.
The darkness surged. It recoiled and shattered in black shards chased away by the light emanating from both of them. The Dark One dagger rattled and then exploded into blackened dust that burned quickly away, damaging nothing.
Killian pulled back and caressed her cheek. "I knew I was a good kisser, Love, but I didn't know I was that good."
Emma burst out laughing. "You are so cocky, Hook."
"You like my-"
"Hey! Enough." Regina cut in. "Now, what do we do? The Dark One curse is destroyed, but we still have Rumple to deal with."
Belle looked in shock. "He's not a threat to you now."
"No, but if people find out he's not The Dark One anymore, they will be a threat to him." She pointed out. "He made a lot of enemies. You saw how black his heart was."
"Take Belle with you. She's not safe at home." He said quickly. "You're right."
"No! I'm not leaving you again."
"You aren't safe here."
"Neither are you!"
"Enough!" Regina yelled. "Emma and I could put a barrier spell around your estate that would only allow us in and out. It would keep you safe until we figure out what to do."
"Thank you," Belle said in relief.
Regina reluctantly decided she owed her former mentor something. He'd stepped out of the darkness and chose to be good. She stepped forward. "Would you like me to perform your marriage? I can handfast you both and bind it in magic."
"That's up to Belle," Rumple said. "But, if we do. He steps out of the room." He pointed at Killian. "I won't have him at my wedding. Tinkerbell leaves too."
"Why?" Tinkerbell asked.
"You're annoying me."
"I'm not leaving Emma in the room with you," Killian announced.
"What's he going to do?" Emma looked at him in confusion. "He doesn't have any magic."
"Oh. Yea, right. That's going to take getting used to." He replied scratching the back of his head. He then kissed her on the forehead and left the room.
Belle stood next to Rumple and held his hand. Tinkerbell pouted and left the room, saying, "This is going to be one of the most talked-about weddings, and I don't even get to watch."
"Oh, Rumple, let her stay. Please." Belle begged him.
"Fine. Tinkerbell can stay."
She clapped her hands and rushed back into the room. "Thank you, Belle!"
"Are we ready?" Regina asked. She then began the spell, and a magical ribbon wound around Belle's and Rumple's joined hands. "You may begin."
Belle started. "I promise to love you and support you. I will be there to help you choose good and do right. I will be there for you in sickness and health, in good times and bad times, until death parts us. I take you as my husband, Rumplestiltskin."
The ribbon of magic flexed and tightened around their joined hands.
"I take you as the gift you are. I will try to do good and listen to your council. I will forsake everything for you. You are my whole world. I will be there for you in sickness and health, in good times and bad times, until death parts us. I will love no other. I take you as my wife, Belle."
The magic glowed bright, wound around their arms even tighter, shimmered, and then disappeared into their joined hands. Rumple didn't wait for Regina to say anything. He cupped Belle's jaw and kissed her. He quickly deepened the kiss. She moaned into his mouth.
He then pulled back. "Can you set your protection spells and let me have an evening with my wife?"
Regina, Tinkerbell, and Emma joined Killian in the hall and shut the door. "One last spell, and we head home," Tinkerbell said, looking subdued.
"What's up with her?" Killian asked.
"It was so romantic!" Tink admitted.
Regina shrugged, "That was quite the wedding gift, I have to admit. He voluntarily was stripped of incredible power for her."
"Remember he murdered his first wife," Killian growled out.
"He also became The Dark One to try and keep her." Emma reminded him.
"Mur-der," he emphasized the syllables. "Never mind. It's over." He then looked startled. "It's actually over." He pulled Emma close and held her. "You're safe, Love. I'm so relieved."
Emma and Regina cast a protection spell around Rumple's estate, and the four of them made their way back to the palace. Emma knew a new battle was about to start. She had to tell her parents she voluntarily worked with The Dark One. She shuddered. They were going to be furious.
