November 2; 4:47pm
Dixie laughed as Wally threw his hands in the air in annoyance.
"There's no way you're this good in Mario Kart! This is a game of chance, not skill!" the redhead groaned. "You cheated, I don't know how but I bet you did."
Dixie shook her head, watching her best friend in amusement, "You're just bitter that I beat you in every game we play."
"You do not," Wally huffed.
"Tell me one time you won in a game against me?" Dixie smirked, leaning forward. The thirteen-year-old watched in amusement as her best friend frowned, thinking of any such instance before throwing his hands in the air with a loud groan.
"Which proves how you for sure hacked the game! There's no way that I didn't win a single game against you!"
"How do I even hack a game? I'm not even holding anything besides the controller," she waves said controller to demonstrate how she was holding nothing else.
"Uh- You must have done it when I was paying for the pizza," Wally nodded, sure that he was right. "Left you alone for five minutes and you hacked your way into my console with you and your bat-skills."
"'Bat-Skills'?" the thirteen-year-old laughed.
Her best friend nodded, proud of himself for coming up with that, "You can't tell me that you guys don't add the word 'Bat" to the beginning to everything related to superhero stuff."
She opened her mouth to deny but closed with a huff causing him to burst out laughing, clapping in amusement. Dixie shook her head, smiling before hearing her phone go off. Bringing out her phone, she notices the time before reading the message that was sent to her.
"Hey, Walls, I gotta go soon," she informs him, a frown now settling on her face. "Tim's calling a family meeting."
"Oh," the speedster frowned before smiling. "Well, we can always hang out next time and just play with the rest back at the cave, you know, without you cheating."
"Whatever you say," Dixie rolled her eyes, stretching as she stood up. Wally stood up, waiting for her. "Thanks," she said as she grabbed her bag, making sure that everything was inside. "Thank your aunt and uncle for me, by the way."
"You know they're always glad to have you around," the redhead said, grabbing both of their coats that were hung on the coat rack, handing her coat before wearing his own.
"I know but can still thank them for it," she said as the two of them walked out of the house, Wally locking the door behind them as she wore her own coat. After that, the two of them walked to the nearest Zeta-Beam.
"It's surprisingly cold for November," Wally pointed out.
"If you think this is cold, you should go to Gotham," Dixie chuckled as she stared at the sky. "But yeah, if it's already this cold in November can't imagine how cold it would be in December."
The two of them started talking about random things as they walk to the worn-down telephone booth. She punches in her coordinates but she doesn't press the button.
"Hey, Wally?"
The speedster hums, confused as to why she isn't leaving yet.
"I thought when you invited me over when your aunt and uncle are away we were going to finally talk," she turns to him with a frown. "When are we going to talk about what happened in the simulation? We've been dancing around it for more than two weeks at this point."
When she receives no answer, she sighs and bows her head before pressing the button, the light enveloping her. When the light disappeared, Dixie looks around the Batcave seeing her father and brothers already there.
"So I was just crushing Wally in Mario Kart then I get this message about Conner is related to Lex Luthor?" she asks as she climbed up the stairs to the main deck. "Something else I missed?"
"The fact that Miss Martian could be hiding something as well," Jason says, causing the thirteen-year-old to raise an eyebrow, confused by what he meant. "So yeah, you missed quite a bit."
She turns to face Tim, who heaves out a sigh.
"So you may know that I've been trying to recover files from Cadmus especially since they went under new management after what happened to Professor Desmon."
"Now Blockbuster," Jason adds.
"That makes no difference, Todd," Damian crosses his arms, not liking what Tim was telling them.
"And because of the possibility of him being the mole without even knowing through his programming, I managed to dig up some files about him," Tim continues, already used to the two."And thanks to the Zeta-Beam recognition, I was able to identify that Superboy is in fact a clone of Lex Luthor as well."
"His DNA shows that he's a clone of both Superman and Lex Luthor which would explain why Superboy is unable to fly or have laser beams," Bruce says. "If he finds out about this, he would without a doubt go to Luthor to get some answers."
"So do we continue to have a clone of Lex Luthor on the team?" Damian asks, obviously displeased with the idea. They all turn to her which shocks the younger.
"He's on your team, what do you think?" Jason asks, curious about what she was thinking.
"He… He looks up to Superman," she tells them slowly. "His whole life is basically focused on wanting to be acknowledged by Uncle Clark if he finds out about being a clone of Lex Luthor as well… he would be tempted but he's not going to give up everything just for Luthor. We can trust him."
Bruce stares at her before nodding, turning away. "Until we have proof that this link to Lex Luthor shows that he is indeed the mole, Superboy remains on the team."
"And what of Miss Martian? J'onn just said that there's something she's hiding but he doesn't want to force her," Jason says.
"He said this? When?" Dixie asks, confused by what Jason just revealed to her.
"During my monitor duty on the Watchtower, Martian Manhunter approached me saying that there has been something bothering him about Miss Martian," Bruce informs her. "He feels like there's something that Miss Martian is hiding but he doesn't know what."
"And he doesn't want to force her because she's his niece," Damian scoffs.
"Until J'onn gets to find out what this secret is or until she confides and reveals her secret to the team, remain cautious around her," Bruce says.
